The PERSHING 9X is a super-sport 28m yacht. A floating “puro-sangue” able to cruise as a “lighting bolt”. The perfect blend of luxury and technology. Powered by 2 x MTUs for a total power of 5,276Hp, coupled to surface-drive propulsion system, the numbers of the PERSHING 9X are astonishing : 16 seconds to reach 20kn from standstill and top speed of 42kn ! A Jet Fighter in the water. The fly is built in carbon fiber and stability underway is granted by 2 gyro-stabilizers. She can cruise in “economical” mode at 25kn. Beside the above impressive numbers, the PERSHING 9X features elegance inside and outside, painted hull and superstructure, plenty of space for guests to enjoy an upscaled yachting experience. The Sport-Fly, with “race” style helm seats, measures 30sqm and is comfortable for sunbathing. Aft cockpit includes table, seating area and generous sun lounge just above the tender hangar. Swimming platform is hydraulic, allowing easy launching of the tender and toys, plus turns into a comfortable beach club. Main interior salon is in direct connection with the wheel house, allowing passionate guests to experience together with the captain the “command” of this Jet Fighter. Plus, the salon’s aft door features a hideaway mechanism creating a full open air in between interior salon and aft cockpit. All furnitures are designed specifically for this model by well known Poltrona Frau. Luxurious and modern style sparkle throughout the cabins. PERSHING 9X can accommodate comfortably 8 guest in 4 cabins located in the lower deck, all en-suite. For day cruising she can host 12 guests. A wide selection of water toys and a very meticulous crew of 3 will enhance furthermore your yachting holiday on board the PERSHING 9X.

Luxury motor yacht LEGENDARY was launched in 2008 by the well-known Italian Pershing yachts and measures 22.26m.

Crewed charter yacht LEGENDARY has a contemporary chic interior décor. The salon is an open plan, blending seamlessly with the exteriors. The main salon features a large L shaped sofa and coffee table on the starboard side, with a full entertainment system to port. Elongated side windows infuse the space with natural light, illuminating the natural wood floors, pale wood joinery and crisp white side and overhead lining. Below decks, three guest cabins are warm and welcoming with luscious cream carpets and natural wood joinery.

Exterior living is plentiful on the Pershing motor yacht LEGENDARY . The salon opens completely to the shaded aft deck and generous alfresco dining option. Further aft ample seating and a massive sunpad, provide a fabulous social venue. For the active in the group, an extended swim platform is the perfect area, to make use of the good array of water toys on offer, all effortlessly accessed from the large aft garage. Sun lovers will be pleased with the capacious foredeck and additional double bow sunpad.

Luxury charter yacht LEGENDARY offers accommodation in 3 en-suite cabins, for up to 7 guests, each cabin featuring plenty of natural light and TV entertainment. The master cabin is amidships and full beam of the yacht, with a center lined double bed, sofa and vanity. Panoramic windows in the master cabin on port and starboard boast idyllic views, while an overhead starlit ceiling creates a romantic ambiance. The VIP cabin is forward and full beam of the yacht, with a center lined double bed and port and starboard large, in hull windows. A guest twin cabin is on the port side, offering side by side twin beds and a Pullman berth, side ports and a large walled mirror, create a fantastic illusion of openness. The Pershing crewed charter yacht LEGENDARY is fully air conditioned throughout, ensuring optimum comfort.

Important information.

• Per USCG regulations, maximum 12 passengers. NO exceptions!
• 100% drug free/smoke free boat; however some boats allow cigarette smoking on the aft deck.
• All boats come with captain and Crew.
• For day charters fuel is included for idle/trolling speed around local areas. For high speed cruising fuel is charged extra.
• For multi-day charters, a standard 30% APA is collected. The 30% APA covers expenses during your charter including fuel, docking fees and food and beverage. If there is any money left over in the APA after your charter, you can choose to apply these funds towards a crew gratuity or Jerico Yacht Charters can return the funds back to you.
• We love animals and would feel terrible if they get seasick, so as a general rule no pets allowed.
• All vessels come with life jackets, emergency and first aide kits. If you have known allergies or medical requirements, please bring spare medication in the event of an emergency.
• Photo ID and credit card required at pickup. If you are foreign you must travel with your passport.
• Pick up time is up to you, your day begins at the time stated in the signed Charter Agreement.
• You must be 21 years or older to book.

EXTERIOR The cockpit offers a large teak table and an extending, adjustable-height table that uses the bench for seating, and aft of them a large sun pad on the same level. The level below finds a beach area fitted with comfortable sun loungers at the water’s edge.

The yacht’s bow offers a generous sun pad, two flexible tables and a small bar area with two fridges.

INTERIOR The main deck is home to the spacious salon which leads through to a separate galley. The salon is furnished with a dining table and lounge including a saddlé caffé colour Poltrona Frau sofa, taupe oak parquet floor by Listone Giordano which blends perfectly with the elegance of the rest of the interior design and gives the setting a warm feel.

Yacht Accommodation

The guest accommodation is on the lower deck including a master suite with Poltrona Frau double bed and a crow black bed head. The colour scheme blends dark and pale shades across the other bedroom furniture while the master bathroom is another design exercise in the pursuit of space and comfort. The three other guest suites all have ensuite bathroom facilities.

The history of the Italian brand Pershing begins in 1981 with the creation of a private shipyard by yachtsmen and entrepreneurs Tilly Antonelli, Fausto Filippetti and Giuliano Honori. The concept and brand name was formed after the addition of Fulvio De Simoni - Pershing, which is associated with rocket, speed and maneuverability. This corresponded to the first 45 model in 1985, so it was successful.

Joining the Ferretti Group allowed to expand research, develop and introduce innovative methods of construction. In 2012, the Chinese SHIG-Weichai Group acquires a stake in the Ferretti Group, which provides financial support and new markets.

Yachts from 14 to 35 meters long are produced in Mondolfo on an area of 53 thousand square meters, and superyachts 115 and 140 models are produced at the shipyard in Ancona, designed for such construction. The Pershing lineup includes eight high-speed sports yachts and superyachts from 16 to 43 meters long , made in composite and aluminum hulls.

The brand’s particularity is its high speeds, so the captain can be called a pilot, like on racing cars. All yachts are characterized by stability, lack of vibration, perfect control and safety.

Installed propulsion systems with partially immersed propellers and water jets allow speeds of up to 40-50 knots. Fleet's flagship - Pershing 140 43-meter superyacht with four 2,600-MTU MTU engines and with a maximum speed of 38 knots.

Pershing announced the launch of a new project , the first yacht of which will be officially presented at an exhibition in Dusseldorf in 2020. It is envisaged to preserve the brand design, increase the space and internal volumes on board, improve navigation comfort and ease of use.

The company has dealers and service centers around the world. Help and support are provided anywhere in the world by the Ferretti Group team: a network of spare parts warehouses, round-the-clock consultation on all issues, crew training and provision, warranty and post-warranty service.

Pershing 6X Reviewed

Whenever I’m lucky enough to open the throttles on a Pershing , I’m reminded of a scene from The Gumball Rally , a silly road-race movie from the mid-1970s. It’s the bit just before two competitors set off in the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Spyder, the soft-top version of the iconic Daytona. The Italian driver turns to his copilot. With a gloved finger pointing sagely skyward, the driver declares: “And now, my friend, the first rule of Italian driving.” He then pauses for dramatic effect, rips the rearview mirror from the windshield, and tosses it high over his shoulder. “What’s behind me is not important.”

That scene always pops into my head aboard a Pershing because of the rooster tail that we’re inevitably throwing behind us. I recall a conversation I had around 25 years ago with my yachting journalist pal Dag Pike. We were aboard a Pershing, and I—having learned to sail at some overstarched royal yacht clubs in England—suggested that the giant arches of white water were over-the-top in more than one sense. “You’re focusing on the wrong end of the rocket,” Pike said. “They’re just the flames.”

Pershing’s 6X is the latest X-generation iteration of 56- to 62-foot designs that have been evolving for 20 or so years or so. All these latest Pershings, just like all those older models that have borne the name, are long and low—and seem to ooze performance from every pore.

The 6X is more muted than some of the older X-series models, probably because it doesn’t have buttress tunnels at the after end of the side decks. I like the lines with or without them. Hull No. 1 has trademark Pershing livery with dark silver metallic and black contrasts. The foredeck is so long that there are two sizable sun-pad areas, one before the other with room in between.

The yacht’s aft deck is a dedicated entertainment space with a bi-leaf pedestal table that’s both art and engineering in carbon fiber and wood. There’s also sailmaker exterior upholstery, which is a waterproof, weave-effect material that looks a bit like white carbon-fiber cloth. The door from the cockpit to the salon is a full-height pane of glass, and a big pane adjacent to it drops down to open up the inside to the outside.

The yacht’s bridge area is set up like a 21st-century starship with copilot and pilot seats, the latter flanked by throttles and thruster toggles to starboard and a Xenta joystick to port. The helm console bristles with buttons and has two multifunction displays along with Top System controls that indicate the up-down positions of drive legs and trim tabs. The helm seats can be pushed back on their tracks to create standing room around the wheel. And despite the extreme rake of the one-piece windshield, visibility is pretty good. A sunroof lets in fresh air.

The 6X’s oomph comes from twin 1,550 hp MAN V-12 diesels whisking out via the Top System surface drives. At about half-load and left in autotrim mode, the 6X I got aboard topped out at almost 49 knots. The vessel’s most efficient fast cruise is around 37 to 38 knots, at which the diesels burn around 3 gallons per nautical mile and offer an ultimate range of around 280 nautical miles. Machines like this are not really meant for meandering, but at 750 rpm, the 6X can chug along happily at 9 knots for maybe 360 NM. That pace would equate to 2.35 gallons of fuel burned per nautical mile—not much of a savings for scrubbing off 29 knots of speed.

All the Pershings I have run handled well, and this 6X is no different. The electrohydraulic steering is nicely geared and quick to respond. I appreciate the degree of heel the yacht delivers into the turns. The modified-V hull form has a 3.85-to-1 length-to-beam ratio and 19 degrees of deadrise aft, so it bites well.

These yachts are built at Pershing’s Mondolfo, Italy, facility, just up the east coast from Ancona. The builder does its part to minimize vessel weight—for every extra 1,100 pounds added to the 6X’s displacement beyond half-load, top speed will bleed off by about 1 knot—and owners can choose whether or not to do the same. The biggest and heaviest options for this yacht are a Seakeeper stabilizer and contents of the stern garage, which will accommodate up to a Williams Turbojet 325.

The interior of Hull No. 1 is mostly gray with reconstituted veneers from Italy’s Alpi company and a mix of decorative panels. It’s the best of Italian chic. The salon sole is wenge-finished with a dark sheen. The principal feature in the salon is a C-shaped sofa with a table.

Three en suite staterooms and the galley are belowdecks. The owner’s stateroom is a full-beam, amidships affair. The sleeping area with a forward-facing berth occupies around three-quarters of the beam. The en suite, screened by a pair of opaque-glass pocket doors, is up a step to starboard and has separate stalls for the toilet and shower, with a Corian splash top between.

The forepeak VIP has an aft-facing, diagonal berth and a shower room to port. A twin-berth stateroom is opposite the galley with a head that also serves as the day head.

A key aspect of the Pershing 6X is its 62-foot-2-inch length overall. For sure, it’s a big boat, but it’s not too big for owner-operators to run. For those who like to have a crewmember aboard or, perhaps, have an older child who likes a little more independence, a single-bunk cabin is beneath the portside cushions in the cockpit.

Luxury and performance are at the heart of Pershing, and the 6X hits both marks. Running this athletic express cruiser will keep operators focused on the front end of the rocket, while guests and spectators get to enjoy the flames.

Wide-Ranging

All Pershings present and past began with yacht designer Fulvio de Simoni. The builder’s current 54- to 140-foot portfolio includes eight models. The 6X slots between the 5X and 7X , with bigger sisters 8X and 9X . There’s also the Pershing 62 and 74, and then a jump from the all-composite models to the all-aluminum brand flagship, the Pershing 140. It’s a 395-gross-ton beast that’s capable of speeds up to 38 knots.

Coming Soon

Pershing is developing an all-new line of fast cruisers. Project TØ, or T Zero, was announced in 2019, but just one teaser rendering has been released thus far. The first model will reportedly have a length overall around 115 feet, triple water-jet propulsion and a top speed in the mid-30-knot range. It looks to have an asymmetric top-deck configuration too. Hull No. 1 is expected to splash this summer.
