Our Club’s Purpose
The purpose of the BYC is to create a community of boat owners and water craft enthusiasts through events and social gatherings; to induct new boaters through youth and family programs that teach the basics of safe boating while giving access to a range of boating experiences; to pursue and encourage additional access to Belleville Lake; and to promote boating safety, expertise and knowledge through educational programs delivered by and to our membership.
About Belleville Lake
Belleville Lake is a 2-square-mile man-made lake located in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It was created in 1925 by Henry Ford and Thomas Edison developing the Eastern Michigan Edison Company, by damming the Huron River. The 28-foot-high dam was the last in a series of five dams along the river, creating electricity from hydropower until 1962. The hydropower plant was refurbished in 1988 and has a nameplate production of 1.7 MW. It contains roughly 5,793,638,372 gallons of water in the seven-mile-long lake.

Welcome to Bristol Yacht Club, where our outstanding amenities combine with the historic and picturesque charm of Bristol, Rhode Island, to make a perfect landing spot for visiting boaters. At BYC, we welcome visiting cruising clubs as well as individual cruisers. All are welcome to enjoy our easily accessible moorings and Club facilities.
A rental at BYC includes free launch service to our docks, grounds and newly renovated Clubhouse … and to downtown Bristol with its many restaurants, shops and historic treasures.
We welcome you to tie up dockside to take on water and purchase ice – and to chat with our friendly staff about all Bristol has to offer. We invite you to use our launch or dinghy dock to access our bathrooms and showers (open 24/7), and our playground, gas BBQ and picnic areas.
Our Clubhouse, completely updated in 2019, offers a relaxing bar, lounge and a porch overlooking the harbor – a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail while chatting with new and old friends. Or pull up an Adirondack chair dockside, steps from our outdoor bar and play area.
It is a short “country” walk from our property to enjoy the beauty of Colt State Park and the family-favorite Coggeshall Farm. Just steps away you can rent paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles – a perfect way to have fun on Bristol harbor waters or the East Bay Bike Path.
For extended cruisers, we’ll direct you to area supermarkets, hardware stores, laundry, sail-maker, and marine supplies and repairs.

Welcome to Benicia Yacht Club
Benicia Yacht Club was founded in 1977, and its Membership includes boaters and non-boaters, both power and sail. BYC offers many social events and Club functions throughout the year, and its facilities are open five days per week, Wednesday thru Sunday. Restaurant open Wednesday thru Saturday 12 pm - 8 pm.
Advantageously located on the Carquinez Straight, midway between San Francisco and the Delta, and close to Napa Valley, members and their guests are treated to a variety of nearby conveniences unique to our area.
If traveling by boat, the well-equipped Benicia Marina is within walking distance to BYC. Fuel is available daily between 8 am and 4:30 pm. Free 24-hour pump-out is available at the gas dock. Guest docks are available by contacting the Marina Office at (707) 745-2628.

Brockville Yacht Club Welcomes You
The Club the Members Built!!
On July 4th, 1956 under the Commodoreship of George Davidson, the Brockville Yacht Club became a separate entity from the sailing division of the Brockville Rowing Club and has been welcoming avid boaters through its gates ever since. The Club's focus is supporting the sport of sailing by providing sailing classes and supporting club races and sailing teams. Over the years, the club has become an important center for both the social life and athletic activities for all members. We welcome you to explore our site and find out more about Brockville Yacht Club and all that we have to offer.
BYC has an active club racing fleet which holds races on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The Club’s position within the Thousand Islands makes it an ideal location for cruising in both sail boats and power boats. To promote sailing and help novice sailors safely enter the boating fraternity, BYC offers summer sailing schools for both young sailors and adults as well as an introduction to cruising program.
BYC is located in the 1905 building of what initially was the Shirreff Manufacturing Company. The building was acquired by the membership in 1971. Over the past 40 years, both the land and water facilities of the club have undergone a number of improvements. The vast majority of these improvements and changes have been designed and implemented by the club membership. This truly is “the club the members built” and continue to build.
Looking for a place to dock your boat?
BYC is a private club for sailing and boating enthusiasts. Dock slips are for members at the full voting level. The Club's harbour is not a marina and there are no transient dock slips. Only members of reciprocal yacht clubs may overnight with proof of membership (see the reciprocals page for details).
All public health measures for businesses have been lifted at this time including mask use requirements. Although the situation is improving, COVID-19 is still circulating in the community so it is recommended to remain careful and so we respect the right of members and staff to continue to wear masks if they wish.
