LADY BRITT is a 2011 Feadship yacht which was built by the Koninklijke De Vries shipyard with typical world-class quality. The Redman Whiteley Dixon designed the interior is an evocative fusion of natural light and materials. Traditional textiles and timbers are juxtaposed with modern execution and meticulous surface quality to create a unique and convivial atmosphere which exudes style.

One of the most popular superyachts on the charter market, LADY BRITT offers ultimate comfort to her guests, while a highly professional crew of 16 is ready to cater to all guests' needs. Both indoor and outdoor living spaces have been designed for socializing and entertaining. She features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, a beam of 11.30 m (37'1'') and a draft of 3.5m (11'6'') when loaded. Her fuel capacity is 148,700 l (39,265 US Gallons) and freshwater capacity of 38,500 l (10,165 US Gallons).

LADY BRITT is powered by two MTU 16V4000 M61R, 1520 kW @1600 rpm engines.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

One of the most striking aspects of Lady Britt is the choice for six large guest suites on the lower deck in order to accommodate family and friends in comfort and style. Two of the suites can be converted into a full-width VIP stateroom. The owners have chosen a luxury New York apartment feel for their stateroom, complete with separate bathrooms and dressing rooms; enhanced with a private study. Meanwhile, the overall arrangement makes Lady Britt an excellent vessel for charter with a dedicated wellness spa, a separate panoramic gymnasium, an outdoor cinema and an authentic Finnish sauna with its own private access to the ocean. All these facilities complement the very spacious external guest areas. The yacht interior is in a chic, modern, Scandinavian style with a stunning blend of marble surfaces, teak and macassar ebony furniture and rosewood flooring. There is also accommodation for a crew of fifteen in eight crew cabins, and two can be accommodated in captains cabin. Laundry can be found on the lower deck, and the storage rooms are situated on tank deck.

Lady Britt was built for owners who had spent many years chartering other Feadships and decided to create the ultimate charter yacht taking the classic looks of the 2005 Twizzle as their template. LADY BRITT Yacht – Top-tier $70M Superyacht

The LADY BRITT yacht is a custom 63.0m superyacht built and delivered by Feadship in 2011. 

She was specifically designed to be a yacht for charter and she is also one of the largest yachts ever built by the Dutch company. 

With eleven years of experience in the charter industry, LADY BRITT has become one of the most popular yachts for charter.

LADY BRITT Yacht Interior

The LADY BRITT yacht interior was designed by British design house Redman Whiteley Dixon. 

The interior style sets a unique atmosphere thanks to the combination of natural lights, traditional textiles and modern woods. 

She has a Scandinavian style and materials like marble, teak, Macassar ebony, and rosewood. 

According to the owner, the interior was designed to feel “homely”, nothing too extravagant, so people can feel “at home” on board. 

LADY BRITT accommodates up to 12 guests in seven spacious cabins, which are located on the lower deck. Two of them can turn into a full-width VIP room. 

The owner’s room design was inspired by the luxurious New York apartments. The suite also has dressing rooms, ensuite bathrooms and a private study. 

The yacht can also carry 15 crew members on board in eight separate cabins.  

Her amenities include a Jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna, gymnasium, beach club, elevator, projector, iPod docking, VOD, WIFI, outdoor cinema, air-conditioning, and satellite TV. 

To make the charter experience even more luxurious, she has two Michelin-starred chefs and a dedicated Elemis wellness spa hair and beauty salon.

For recreational activities, she is well equipped with a couple of wave runners, kayaks, windsurfers, wakeboards, towable toys, kneeboard, dive compressor, and fishing and scuba diving equipment. 

On top of that, she has a Yachtwerft Meyer Custom Limo Tender and an MCA MOB Rescue Boat. 

Every single year, she goes for upgrades to keep the marble and paint in excellent condition. 

LADY BRITT Yacht Exterior

The LADY BRITT yacht features exterior design and naval architecture by De Voogt. 

This custom-made superyacht was created based on the 2005 Twizzle Feadship. 

It is built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She also features zero-speed stabilisers to make the cruising experience even more comfortable. 

LADY BRITT Yacht Specifications

The LADY BRITT is powered by two MTU diesel giving her a cruising speed of 13.0 knots and a maximum speed of 16.0 knots with a range of 5,200 nautical miles. 

With an 11.3m beam, a 3.5 draft and a gross tonnage of 1,231, she stores 148,700 litres of fuel. 

She is built to comply with MCA and Lloyds specifications and she’s one of the largest yachts in the world, ranked number 400th.

LADY BRITT is currently sailing under the Cayman Island flag.

Her cruising areas are the East Mediterranean, North, South and Central America, Caribbean, Bahamas, Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and Northern Europe, among many others. 

The weekly rate depends on the season, but it goes from 445,00 to 470,000 EUR plus expenses. 

This yacht is not available for charter in United States residents while in US waters.

Sten Warborn: Why I charter out my luxury yacht Lady Britt

You work hard to own a superyacht, and you should have your superyacht work just as hard for you. So says Sten Warborn, the owner of 63 metre Feadship Lady Britt , a successful yacht for charter that was specifically designed for the task.

“A yacht is a very big capital outlay and I do work still, so it doesn’t make sense to have capital lying around not being used. You have to make capital work for you,” says Warborn. “We have covered all of our costs every year by chartering — more than our costs.”

The advantages of putting a yacht on the charter market goes beyond money. Keeping the yacht busy also keeps the crew fresh. “The crew need to work or else they get bored,” he says. “It’s not a good practice to own a yacht unless it’s used. If you don’t use it yourself, you have to charter it out.”

Launched in 2011, Lady Britt is Warborn’s first superyacht and he knew from the get-go that she’d be destined for the charter market. He’d recommend any owner who is considering chartering out their yacht to charter a yacht themselves first. He tried out three yachts to find out what worked and what didn’t, considering everything from layout and amenities to décor. “Some yachts didn’t feel relaxed, some had too strong colours. The interior on Lady Britt is homely, nothing too extreme, so people can feel relaxed on board,” he says of Redman Whiteley Dixon’s work. “And the more flexibility, the better.”

Lady Britt is nothing if not flexible. In addition to the main deck master, she has six large suites on the lower deck, two of which convert to full-width VIPs, ideal when there’s more than one principal charterer. Other attractive charter amenities include an outdoor cinema, huge beach club, DJ decks and gym on the top deck. On the lower deck, there is a sauna with a door opening out to the sea — Warborn is Swedish and his wife is Finnish, so it was a must.

To Lady Britt’s owner, however, nothing is as important as offering excellent service with the best crew. “You need to have very good service and very good crew, so you need to have great crew quarters,” he says. “Also to have a superb chef, you have to have a good kitchen!” As such, a priority was placed on designing Lady Britt with comfortable crew quarters and an excellent galley.

And it all comes together with a captain who can run the yacht like a well oiled, service-oriented machine. Warborn met Patrick Cowley during one of his test charters and he’s been on board since the build. “[He] sets a very high ambition level for the crew, and he understands that service is very important,” Warborn says. Cowley thinks a charter crew need to be even more responsive than that of a private yacht. “We have to adapt very quickly to our guests’ needs. We may only have a few days to show our guests what we can do for them, instead of a season or two.”

Each year Lady Britt goes in for upgrades and work — keeping the marble and paint in tip-top condition, but also making sure the toy box is stocked with the newest contraptions. This is not only for the guests’ benefit, but for when owner and family get the time to come on board. That’s anywhere from two weeks to a month each year, depending on work. The only negative of having his yacht in the charter market? Not being able to use it at peak times. “We haven’t been on at New Year’s Eve yet,” he says, “but the upsides far outweigh the downsides.”

For Captain Cowley, the biggest compliment Lady Britt can receive is not how many weeks she’s booked, but how many guests return. “We have an 82 per cent return rate with our valued guests, with many of them booking within hours of their departure for the following year.”

It might be a while yet before Lady Britt’s owner will get to ring in the New Year on board — another busy season is expected for 2016 with the yacht almost fully booked already for the summer. It’s another year of his superyacht working hard for him.

Interior design & engineering

The LADY BRITT yacht was specifically designed to be chartered. This means her interior has a number of appealing features, such as her flexible accommodation. A total of 12 guests can be accommodated in one master, four doubles and two twins—but you can transform one of the doubles into a full-width VIP suite that rivals the master.

Her RWD-designed interior is flooded with light, with neutral furnishings to create a relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of areas to lounge, with soft seating scattered throughout her interior. But for something more formal, the dining room on the LADY BRITT motor yacht will seat 12 for an unforgettable menu crafted by her Michelin-starred chef.

Yacht facilities & entertainment

You’ll enjoy the double-aspect sun deck on the LADY BRITT yacht; it offers an air-conditioned gym fully stacked with Technogym equipment and a panoramic view while you work out. It’s complemented by a beach club on the main deck, which houses a Finnish sauna with an ocean platform so you can dive out of the heat and into the cool blue. It’s also where you’ll find a full spa with a host of treatments offered by an onboard Elemis therapist.

There are many more spaces to relax on the 63m luxury superyacht: the front of the sun deck is home to a spa pool surrounded by sunpads. Aft, there’s space for casual dining, soft seats with a coffee table, and more sunpads. And at night, the deck transforms into a cinema, where you can work your way through the updated 2,600-strong film library. Her upper deck aft also offers alfresco dining, with a table that’s flanked by a bar and a cosy seating area.

TORINO, Italy, March 15, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The 5th Superyacht Chef Competition is coming up at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Organised by the YCM in partnership with Bluewater, it takes place on 4th April 2024 under the aegis of YCM’s La Belle Classe Academy training centre. This internationally renowned celebration of the art of fine cuisine at sea puts the spotlight on an essential aspect of yachting professions. "Every year, this event brings together talented chefs from all over the world, ready to take up the challenge of creating unforgettable culinary experiences as a showcase of gastronomic excellence on superyachts, the Superyacht Chef Competition continues to make its mark on the yachting world while promoting the values of our collective ‘Monaco Capital of Advanced Yachting’ approach", says YCM General Secretary Bernard d’Alessandri.

“On behalf of my son, I would like to express my gratitude to you all for supporting our association. Your assistance is invaluable,” said Chef Yannick Alléno. The 5th Superyacht Chef Competition promises again to surprise the eyes and taste buds, the end results being judged by a Jury of top professionals supervised by Joël Garault, President of Goûts et Saveurs.

Chef Glenn Viel succeeds Yannick Alléno to head up this international Jury. The three-Michelin star chef is passionate about local produce, combining his Breton roots with Provencal culinary traditions and stands out for his eco-responsible cuisine. Winner of the previous edition, Marco Tognon (M/Y Planet – 72m) is also coming to give his opinion on the quality of the dishes presented alongside Chef Danny Davies. Host of "Behind the Line with Chef Danny Davies" and author of two vegan books, Danny Davies has over 25 years of experience on private yachts. Finalist of Objectif Top Chef, Chef Victoria Vallenilla completes the Jury line-up with Chef Julien Roucheteau, a former student of the Ferrandi School in Paris, two time Michelin star, and Chef Fred Ramos, a disciple of the renowned chef Jacques Maximin who will judge the cuisine and way of working aspects.

This year again the nine superyacht chefs selected to take part have to comply with an anti-waste criterium under the watchful eye of Chef Duncan Biggs, requiring contestants to use every ingredient in the mystery basket, or risk a penalty from an external scoring grid. Three rounds to the grand finale of excellence. Participating in this fifth edition are: Paulo Ucha Longhi (M/Y Hercules – 50m), Joelyanne Le Faucher (M/Y Artemis – 33m), Mateusz Mitka (M/Y Lady Britt – 63m), Margot Laurent (M/Y Leonardo III – 43m), Enzo Di Gabro (M/Y L.A.U.L. – 39m), Giacomo Seregni (M/Y Severin’s – 55m), Jérémie Gruson (M/Y Victoria del mar – 50m) and Ava Faulkner (M/Y Light Holic – 60m). The criteria behind the contest’s success have been retained where contestants only find out what’s in the basket of mystery ingredients five minutes before they get behind their stoves. Thinking on their feet and being super-adaptable is key. During this time, the public can add a missing ingredient to the basket. They are then invited to vote for the best culinary presentation adding another interactive dimension to this prestigious competition. The 5th Superyacht Chef Competition promises again to surprise the eyes and taste buds, the end results being judged by a Jury of top professionals supervised by Joël Garault, President of Goûts et Saveurs.

Chef Glenn Viel succeeds Yannick Alléno to head up this international Jury. The three-Michelin star chef is passionate about local produce, combining his Breton roots with Provencal culinary traditions and stands out for his eco-responsible cuisine. Winner of the previous edition, Marco Tognon (M/Y Planet – 72m) is also coming to give his opinion on the quality of the dishes presented alongside Chef Danny Davies. Host of "Behind the Line with Chef Danny Davies" and author of two vegan books, Danny Davies has over 25 years of experience on private yachts. Finalist of Objectif Top Chef, Chef Victoria Vallenilla completes the Jury line-up with Chef Julien Roucheteau, a former student of the Ferrandi School in Paris, two time Michelin star, and Chef Fred Ramos, a disciple of the renowned chef Jacques Maximin who will judge the cuisine and way of working aspects.

This year again the nine superyacht chefs selected to take part have to comply with an anti-waste criterium under the watchful eye of Chef Duncan Biggs, requiring contestants to use every ingredient in the mystery basket, or risk a penalty from an external scoring grid. Three rounds to the grand finale of excellence. Participating in this fifth edition are: Paulo Ucha Longhi (M/Y Hercules – 50m), Joelyanne Le Faucher (M/Y Artemis – 33m), Mateusz Mitka (M/Y Lady Britt – 63m), Margot Laurent (M/Y Leonardo III – 43m), Enzo Di Gabro (M/Y L.A.U.L. – 39m), Giacomo Seregni (M/Y Severin’s – 55m), Jérémie Gruson (M/Y Victoria del mar – 50m) and Ava Faulkner (M/Y Light Holic – 60m). The criteria behind the contest’s success have been retained where contestants only find out what’s in the basket of mystery ingredients five minutes before they get behind their stoves. Thinking on their feet and being super-adaptable is key. During this time, the public can add a missing ingredient to the basket. They are then invited to vote for the best culinary presentation adding another interactive dimension to this prestigious competition. As they compete to show off their ingenuity and expertise, participating chefs always manage to keep spectators in suspense right through to the final showdown. In a nutshell, all the ingredients are there to ensure this competition lives up to its reputation as a major event.
