We've joined the boat club and this was our first day to try it out. Thanks to Kurt, Lance, Gunnar and Colin -- we and our guests had the best time. This is a Grade A, world class, first class experience - thank you! We could not be happier with our decision to join. The children started in the pool and hot tub while the dads got the boat and dock orientation. Moms were chilling by the pool, enjoying conversation and pool side beverages. Our boat was brand new, super clean and ready. It had all the modern features including navigation, mood lights and a wireless phone charger. The dock side changing room, showers and bathroom are super clean, well appointed and require a members' code to use. Gunnar and the dock team helped us get on board and leave the dock. We cruised directly to Meredith and loved seeing the town from the water. Then back to Akwa then out again past Governor's Island, the Witches and into the Broads. We had the lake mostly to ourselves and everyone loved the views and quiet engine. Then we sped back to Akwa for conversations, cocktails, dinner, swimming in the pool, playing volleyball, bocce and the hot tub. Our Recommendations: Lobster Roll & Calamari. This was a great day and impressed us and our guests. Everyone is looking forward to a great summer at "Our Club"

For anyone looking to dock at Akwa Marina Yacht at their new docks: I docked on the end slip this Tuesday and with the low lake leveI found a rock with my Prop with a depth of 4' on my gauge. Trim up or choose a different slip people. They say they marked the rock however there are several high rock at the entrance to the docks. It just cost me a refurbish on my four blade prop. I told the restaurant but they don't do anything because they lease the space. The restaurant is run by the Turkey Farm. The owner has professed it not to be his problem. So boaters don't go there until he fixes it or next season.
I know that this place falls under the category of "boating", but there is a restaurant and beach bar that is really a find at this place! First of all, there is public docking long enough to fit a 43' boat, which is nice for us. You walk across a beach (where you could stop and take a dip) and a few people were playing ladder ball. Up the stairs is a pavilion style restaurant with exposed beams and a bar made of a sailboat! The craftsmanship is very nice. They had delicious sangria and someone in our party had a haddock sandwich, which was tasty. There was more staff on than patrons, so service was quick! This place has a really good vibe.
The BEST Lobster Roll in the Lakes Region hands down. Awesome spot for drinks and lunch or dinner. Spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee. The most friendly staff. Aaron the bar manager is the best!! You have to hit this spot before summer is over.
This is a review of the Akwa yacht club, not the Akwa Bar restaurant. The construction and design here is really wonderfully done. These guys are top notch builders. However, running a hospitality and service business is something that these guys are spectacularly bad at. In their view, the customer is always wrong and their paying members always to blame, for everything - not the drunk public that runs around here unchecked at all hours. They over promise and under deliver. They charge top dollar for boat slips and club memberships but when members ask if they can clean the restrooms or maintain the pool and hot tub properly they cry "poor mouth" and lack of staff and go back to lounging by the pool with their friends. If you can't afford to hire the staff to maintain a place, YOU as the owners need to step in, get your hands dirty and do it. They act as if paying club members and customers are unfortunate impingements on their free time at "their" club. You get the feeling you are just subsidizing their good time here.

Crime and public safety | 100-foot luxury yacht sinks in marina del rey after fireworks explosion and fire.
The fire was reported shortly after 8:33 p.m. and firefighters responded to 211 Basin A to douse the flames on the approximately 100-foot boat, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
Multiple explosions resonated throughout the harbor as The Admiral was consumed by flames.
Footage at the scene from CBS 2 showed the boat listing to one side before sinking in the harbor.

•Sunset Isle Yacht Club is a newly opened luxury marina offering 144 slips and state-of-the-art amenities for vessels up to 300 feet.
•Located near popular destinations like Crab Island and HarborWalk Village, it provides 24-hour security and high-tech services.
•Future developments include a resort-style pool, recreational facilities, and a full-service restaurant and bar.
The Sunset Isle Yacht Club, located on the picturesque south side of Choctawhatchee Bay, has officially opened its luxury marina, making waves as the only full-service Marina in Northwest Florida capable of accommodating yachts up to 300 feet in length. This new facility, spanning nine acres, offers boaters and members top-tier amenities designed to cater to vessels of all sizes.
The Marina’s owner – Harvey, Louisiana’s Bobby Guidry , recently donated almost $40,000 to candidates for County Commission and Sheriff. Three of the four candidates he supported emerged from the August 20 Primary Race victorious .
The Marina features 144 slips, ranging from 40 to 120 feet in length and up to 26 feet wide, situated on a 12-foot wide, 1,400-foot-long pier. According to a press release from the company, Sunset Isle stands out with a variety of state-of-the-art amenities, including high-speed fueling stations, shore power from 30 to 200 amps, and an in-slip pump-out system. The facility also boasts Neptune vessel lifts that can support boats from 30,000 to 120,000 pounds. Boaters can also enjoy oversized finger-pier walkways, providing access to the entire vessel from bow to stern.
For added security, the Marina offers 24-hour video surveillance, allowing owners to monitor their boats remotely from their phones or computers. Sunset Isle’s prime location places it three miles from popular spots like Crab Island and HarborWalk Village, and just three and a half miles from the Gulf of Mexico via the East Pass.
“This marina was designed to provide the newest bells and whistles to support anyone’s vessel, from 25 feet to 300 feet in size,” Guidry said.
Leading the operations at Sunset Isle is general manager Bryan Rydzewski, a seasoned professional with more than 35 years of industry experience. “Sunset Isle is in a premier location and offers top-tier services that you won’t find anywhere else,” Rydzewski stated.
While additional amenities like a private beach, ship store, and restrooms are already available, future plans for the club include a resort-style pool, recreational facilities, and a full-service bar and restaurant.
Sunset Isle Resort and Yacht Club is currently accepting new applications for its 144 marina slips. For more information or to reserve a spot, visit www.sunsetisle.com or call (850) 500-2628.
