Feadship superyacht ULYSSES embarks on sea trials

The majestic superyacht ULYSSES , formerly known as Project 1011, has recently been observed embarking on her sea trials, showcasing her impressive 102.6-meter (336'6") profile across the waves.

Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design is responsible for the vessel's sophisticated exterior and interior design, while her naval architecture is a testament to the expertise of Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture. The Feadship superyacht boasts a substantial gross tonnage of 2,999, providing luxurious accommodation for up to 20 guests across ten staterooms, with additional quarters for a dedicated crew of up to 30.

With opulence at the forefront, motor yacht ULYSSES offers extensive deck areas and lavish amenities that include a serene winter garden, four Jacuzzis, an impressive swimming pool, and a convenient touch-and-go helipad. The yacht's design incorporates 1,100 square meters of exterior glass, featuring 20 sliding doors and 12 glass windbreaks that bathe the interior in abundant natural light.

Superyacht ULYSSES stands as a testament to Feadship's reputation for constructing top-tier luxury yachts. Anticipation is high for her inaugural voyage, although it is unclear at this time whether she will be joining the global yacht charter fleet .

About Ulysses

The 102.60-metre Ulysses began with the most challenging of briefs. The highly experienced owner stipulated similar amenities and living space as his previous yacht of 6,000GT but in a design of half the volume for easier access to anchorages and harbours. The result is a masterclass in space planning and rule exploration. The clean-cut exterior lines and vertical bow lend Ulysses a distinctive profile and purposeful personality. The yacht also has 1,100 square metres of exterior glass that includes twenty exterior sliding doors and twelve glass windbreaks, a helicopter hangar under the forward helipad and no fewer than eight hull doors.

ULYSSES is a 102.6 m Motor Yacht, built in Netherlands by Feadship and delivered in 2024.

Her top speed is 17.5 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 5000.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two MTU diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 18 guests in 9 staterooms, with 20 crew members. She has a gross tonnage of 2999.0 GT and a 14.4 m beam.

She was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design , who also designed the interior. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design has designed 16 yachts and designed the interior of 36 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

The naval architecture was developed by Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture , who has architected 28 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

ULYSSES is in the top 5% by LOA in the world. She is one of 70 motor yachts longer than 100m.

Graeme Hart’s new superyacht revealed after secret construction, Amsterdam trip

New Zealand’s richest man has been linked to a new 103-metre “megayacht” in Amsterdam featuring enough space for 40 crew and 20 guests.

Hart’s daughter Gretchen Hawkesby shared photos yesterday of herself, Hart and family on a trip to Amsterdam for the boat launch.

The superyacht had been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks.

Boat International said Feadship 1011 was recently spotted on the move and featured “distinctive clean lines and squared-off deck design”.

Construction of the vessel was shrouded in secrecy.

“Formerly known only as Feadship 1011, the highly secretive 103m Feadship superyacht project has now been named Ulysses,” Boat International added.

That is the same name one of Hart’s previous superyachts had, a 107m Norwegian-built explorer yacht the billionaire sold in 2017.

“Project 1011 is almost ready to start sea trials, which means Feadship and everyone else involved can finally reveal some specs about it since keeping it a secret won’t be possible anymore,” Auto Evolution reported.

“With an exterior design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design over naval architecture by Azure Yacht Design, it boasts interiors by Sinot and a total length on water of 102.6 meters (336.7 feet), which technically makes it a megayacht,” the website added.

Hart left school at 16 and built a business empire.

Rank Group, which Hart owns, houses businesses that operate internationally in the packaging, consumer goods and building supplies industries.

He lives in Auckland but most of his investments are overseas.
