Grace is a high-quality Gulet, 30 meters in length, and completely renovated in 2019. There are modern and spacious cabins, specially designed with hall and deck. She accommodates 12 guests in 2 Master, 2 Double, 2 Twin Cabins, Each has a private shower and toilet. All yachts, including cabins, are air-conditioned.

There is a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor and outdoor dining area, and an air-conditioned lounge. There is a TV, DVD and music system in the saloon and all cabins. There is also a large sun deck with enough sunbathing mats for all. The jacuzzi on the Gulet Grace deck offers guests a pleasant atmosphere as well.

Grace Gulet not only offers high-quality layout and furnishings but also offers luxury service with a highly professional 5 crew including an experienced. That crew consists of the captain, chef, deckhand as well as service personnel. They have accommodation separate from the passengers. The crew is committed to all your needs such as organizing daily activities in the boat, cleaning, general service, meals and drinks, and security. They were a pleasure to sail with, were overly accommodating, and the chef certainly made the trip incredibly special Dislike: The only thing that could have been better is that we added a jetski to our package and it was out of commission for about 3 of the 7 days. Beyond our control was the fact that Greece was closed but the silver lining here was that we spent more time together and less exploring towns etc. 14.09.2020

Food and Beverage

We offer full board accommodation for your yacht charter. You can choose between standard, luxury or deluxe menus and pay between 55 and 85 Euros per person per day.

You can supply your alcoholic beverages or you can order us.

All service is provided by boat staff.

Most of the gulets are rented on a WEEKLY basis from Saturday to Saturday, especially during high season (June-July-August-September). Smaller gulets with lower capacity can be rented for shorter periods. In May and October, which is called the Low Season, charters can be done for any period.

The time of boarding is after 3.00 pm on Saturdays and disembarkation is by 10.00 am following Saturday.

Motoryachts are rented on a daily base any time of the season, there is no limitation like gulets.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel the reservation, the following cancellation conditions apply, depending on the date interval in between approving and canceling a charter agreement;

a) If cancellation is done 60 days prior to arrival, deductible will be 20% of the total charter price

b) If cancellation is done 59 days or less prior to arrival, deductible will be 40% of the total charter price

c) If cancellation is done 15 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of the total charter price will be required.

Gulet Yacht Grace 1 accommodates twelve guests in six cabins, 2 master suites with French beds, 2 double cabins with French beds and two twin cabins with two single beds, all cabins are air conditioned and have opening portholes and hatches, a lot space for storage and wide berths as well as en-suite shower and wc facilities. Deluxe Gulet Grace 1 features fine wood detail throughout and an uncluttered, modern and spacious interior, spacious air-conditioned salon, a formal dining table, saloon settee and the accompanying soft furnishings, the surrounding large windows of the salon offers a nice view. Stunning Boat Grace 1 offers her guests plenty of deck space, alfresco dining on the aft deck for twelve, comfortable sun-loungers on fore deck so every guests can relax and sunbath together, also there is alfresco dining table and Jacuzzi on the fore deck.

How does charter Agreement work ? Once your chosen Gulet yacht has been confirmed, we will send you a standard Gulet Broker Yachting charter agreement that needs to be signed. If your chosen cruise route requires a different embarking or disembarking place other than the gulet’s central harbor, delivery/redelivery fees may apply.

Payment Options We will require a 50 % deposit of the gulet rental to secure your reservation in Turkey, this is payable by bank transfer. The remaining balance including food monies, is payable 5 weeks before departure by bank transfer or alternatively the full amount may be paid in cash on arrival.

Grace 1 has 2 master double cabins, 2 double cabins, and 2 twin cabins each with a plasma TV and air-conditioning as standard for your utmost comfort, each cabin has a private ensuite homestyle bathroom, with the very highest standard of fixtures and fittings that ensure you feel at home, each bathroom also has a hairdryer again, with our guest's comfort in mind. Grace 1 sails with an experienced crew of 5, there are separate sleeping quarters for the personnel, maximizing your privacy. The top deck of Grace 1 is a fantastic space to relax and entertain, with her sexy curves and high gloss wood she has a style that does not compromise on practicality or pleasure, two crescent-shaped hand-built seating spaces face each other with large alfresco dining table in between, it's here the yacht's chef will serve you freshly prepared daily meals from the fully-fledged well-equipped kitchen, that we know are an important part of any cruising experience, whether you are having breakfast as the sunrises or sitting under the stars with a glass of something cold in hand the open deck provides contentment combined with luxury. There is also a sea ladder and an on-deck shower. There is a raised deck with custom-made sun mattresses and also a jacuzzi, so if you decide to go ashore and spend some time discovering the towns or historic sites that are all along these waters, know that when you come back on board the jacuzzi is there to refresh on your blue voyage . The interior of this floating palace has been as well thought out as the rest, with calming neutral colors and all today's technical amenities that keep life ticking along. Grace 1 has been sailing the southern waters of the Turkish Riviera since 2008, in 2019 she underwent a full renovation bringing her into a class of her own. She measures 30 meters from stern to bow and has 6 large cabins, affording her the ability to accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. She has 2 master double cabins, 2 double cabins, and 2 twin cabins each with a plasma TV and air-conditioning, each cabin has a private ensuite homestyle bathroom, with the very highest standard of fixtures and fittings, and each bathroom also has a hairdryer again, with our passengers comfort in mind. There is an experienced crew of 5 who have separate sleeping quarters, maximizing your privacy. The top deck is the perfect space to relax or entertain, she has two crescent-shaped hand-built seating spaces that face each other with a large dining table in between, here the chef will serve you freshly prepared meals from the well-equipped kitchen, an important part of any cruising experience, whether you are having breakfast as the sunrises or sitting under the stars. There is also a sea ladder and an on-deck shower. A raised deck is allocated to sunbathing with comfortable mattresses and there is also a jacuzzi on deck if you go ashore in the heat of the day when you come back the jacuzzi is there to welcome you. The interior has been as well thought out with neutral colors and technical. The lounge is a large open space with windows on both sides letting in the light, the lounge and dining area are decorated to complement the wood, in the salon, you will find an American-style bar, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection, Plasma TV, Playstation, DVD Player, Music System and board games for all. For those that want to make the most of the warm blue waters, there are Canoe/Kayak, Fishing Equipment, Island Hopper (Banana) Towable Tube (Ringo), Wakeboard, Jet Ski, Snorkelling gear, Water Skis, and a Zodiac. Start from the southern town of Bodrum to sail the Turkish coast.

A Guide to Gulet Sailing Holidays in Turkey

I am incredibly grateful for countless travel memories that I can look back on with fondness but one of my favourite is gulet cruising in Turkey. It was a four night, five-day sailing holiday along the Mediterranean coast from Fethiye to Olympus. Choosing to partly detox from an Internet addiction, and relax at the same time, the experience was ten times better than any spa retreat offers.

However, speaking to friends after the event, it seemed that the biggest misconception people have about gulet sailing holidays in Turkey, is that you’ll spend all day, every day on the boat being bored, but it is about much more than that. Firstly, if you are a novice to gulet cruising, it helps to understand the unique background, concept and what makes them different from others sailing vessels.

What is a Gulet in Turkey?

When you book gulet sailing holidays in Turkey, you are venturing into an age-old nautical tradition. Gulets are traditional, handcrafted wooden boats with two or three masts. Although other countries such as Italy, Montenegro, and Croatia, use gulets, Turkey has an esteemed and long-established reputation for making gulet boats, especially in Bodrum and Bozburun, two coastal hubs on the west and southwest coast.

Their original use was for sponge diving and fishing, but over the years, the concept has evolved to become overnight floating hotels. Esteemed professionals expertly handcraft each gulet boat with unique design and décor. You can find more information about gulet boats here .

Are Gulets Seaworthy?

Yes, these boats are extremely hardy, and every year during winter, the owners dock into the shipyards for maintenance and upkeep. Gulets are a specialised vessel, and different from a yacht. The latest materials and techniques are used in yacht construction. Hence the industry is always evolving because the primary purpose is sailing long distances, even around the world. Whereas short, coastal cruising is what gulet boats are designed for.

What is it Like Staying on a Gulet Boat?

Most gulet boats range in size from 20 to 30 meters, and each has between 5 to 8 cabins. Within these cabins are double or single beds, an en-suite bathroom and sometimes wardrobes. Most gulets have air conditioning, although the humidity is less at sea than at land, so they are generally not needed, especially when sailing.

Eat your meals on deck, and there is a full crew to help you including the captain, deckhands, and cook. Gulet boats can cruise with wind force or turn on the engine for a faster experience. As with any travel concept, a gulet can be budget and basic or luxurious, in which case, the cabins are larger with exquisite furniture and décor. The sunbathing area is at the front of the boat and inside is a separate seating/bar area.

Places in Turkey to Book Gulet Sailing Holidays

Life on the Turkish Riviera focuses on seaside living, but some places have esteemed reputations for their excellence in the gulet sailing industry. Daily many gulet boats sail out of the harbours in these regions to take passengers on a 3 to 8-day cruise. They include….

Bodrum: The town, a favoured holiday destination for British people as well as Turks, has spearheaded Turkey’s tourism drive ever since the 1980s. As well as selling budget holidays, it also offers luxurious experiences leading it to become a favourite destination for rich and wealthy celebrities.

Marmaris: Another destination particularly favoured by the Brits, the harbour and marina area is a hive of everything nautical. Within the town itself, there is not much to do the area, however, is exceptionally scenic, explaining why it is a major sailing hub.

Things to Do on Gulet Sailing Holidays in Turkey

As mentioned before, although the term “sailing holidays” imply, it is all about being at sea, gulet cruising is about a lot more than that, namely the diversity of things to do.

1: Explore the small coastal towns

The Turkish Riviera has many small, coastal towns, each with their characteristics. Gulets dock in either overnight or for the day, giving you time to wander and explore. Kas on the Mediterranean coast is a perfect example because despite embracing modern living, it has kept its authentic atmosphere, making it one of the quaintest places in Turkey.

2: Get to places only accessible by boat

Many uninhabited islands surround Turkey, and some of them such as Gemiler just outside Fethiye are worth exploring. Ruined Christian churches and a fantastic view make it a preferred place at night for boats to drop anchor. Kekova sunken ruins is another area ideally explored by boat for the best view.

3: Sleep on deck

During my blue cruise, I never slept in my cabin. Instead preferring the deck at the front of the boat, I thoroughly enjoyed going to sleep under the stars. There is something peaceful about just listening to the sounds of nature as you drop off and as much as my cabin was comfortable and quiet, I choose to sleep on deck every time.

4: See Caretta Caretta turtles

It is a guaranteed certainty you will see the endangered Caretta turtles if you cruise the Mediterranean coast but in particular, the Simena area. One morning, a small group came swimming around the boat for food and seeing their size, I realised their stamina was strong despite their docile appearance.

5: Gorgeous sunsets

Watching a Turkish sunset dip over the horizon is a favourite evening activity of mine because I am not talking about average sunsets here. The Mediterranean and Aegean coasts, boast of vibrant orange sunsets that are big attractions for tourists, who cannot resist getting their camera out to snap the view.

6: Catch your dinner

Of course, if you do not like fish or seafood, the cook will whip up many alternative dishes, but for fish lovers, part of the thrill is catching your dinner and BBQing it. From sea to plate within 20 minutes. You cannot get any fresher than that!

7: Snorkelling and diving

Most gulet boats have snorkelling equipment on board, which you are welcome to use when they stop for swimming breaks. Alternatively, Turkey is a scuba diving paradise with many underwater wrecks and various sea life. If you spend half a day in any scuba diving town, your boat captain can pre-book lessons for you, whether you are a novice or experienced.

8: Ice-cream deliveries!

In many spots around the coastline where boats dock in for swimming or overnight breaks, floating ice-cream boats offer the perfect refreshment. Pulling alongside the gulet and coming on board with many choices, it is a quirky concept of waiter service.

9: Jet-skis and parasailing

Likewise, anywhere boats gather, jet skis are for hire and passengers can parasail behind a speed boat. Jet skiing attracts adrenaline junkies while paragliding is an alternative bird’s eye view of the gorgeous landscape.

10: Visit historical ruins of ancient civilizations

Many Blue Cruise routes on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, stop by coastal historical ruins of which Turkey has hundreds. The Med coast was home to the Lycians, who left behind glorious cities such as Patara and Olympus, set in an overgrown forest. Their ancient cities have also sparked an official trekking route, one of the longest in the world taking as much as three months to complete.

11: See the Greek Dodecanese Islands

Although, the most popular routes of gulet sailing holidays in Turkey focus on the Turkish Riviera, mix your holiday with Greek destinations of which, the Dodecanese islands are perfect. 150 of them sit in the south Aegean Sea, just a short distance from Turkey. The two most famous are Kos, and Rhodes, however smaller islands like Simi, are ideal for getting off the beaten track.

The guests can use the yacht on the cruise area as per the itinerary agreed before departure. The Captain has the right to change the cruise itinerary due to bad weather conditions, the docking impossibilities in ports or change in local legislation without prior notice.

How is the life on board a Yacht?

Gulet yachts are built to center life on deck during a yacht charter. Spacious decks and housing a large aft for dining and lounging area are their main features. The number of guests a Gulet yacht carries depends on the yacht's size, though most of them accommodate between eight to sixteen people. These yachts offer their guests separate accommodations with en-suite facilities. Modern Gulet Yachts are comfortably equipped with all of the amenities that you would feel at home and encourage an environment in which you are expected to do nothing but enjoy yourself. On a yacht charter, you have the chance, unlike cruises on large cruise ship, to explore the secluded and often deserted bays and coves of the coastline. The small harbors and settlements offer an intimate view of coastal life which large ships cannot replicate authentically. You could lounge on the deck feeling the sun, sipping your favorite drink; read your favorite novel or explore the turquoise deep with your snorkel. On your Yacht, you may find some snorkels, simple fishing equipment, windsurf or a canoe for free of use. Some of the yachts have also water sport equipment that is mostly available for rent at extra. Land trips to plenty of ancient ruins to visit are available out of many moorings. You can even fish for your supper on the yacht and your cook will gladly prepare for you. Meal times are another form of entertainment with all that exquisite Turkish cuisine and wonderful conversation. Having a meal under the stars on a serene sea, gently touching the sides of your Yacht is an experience not to be missed. For those who prefer a different view each day and are prepared for the changing moods of Mother Nature, a holiday on a yacht is the perfect solution. Your cruise is full-board on yacht cabin charters, excluding all beverages. On private yacht charter, you can spend your yacht holiday without even having to decide what is going to be on the menu, you may let the yacht's Chef prepare you delicious set menus with a small additional charge per person basis. Or you may choose to book half board meals on some days and stop for a lovely dinner at a colorful seaside restaurant.

What should I bring on board?

You need casual wear; non slip foot wear, swimming suit, a sun hat, some t-shirts and shorts, a sweater for cool evenings and for excursions and climbs, blue jeans and strong footwear. Instead of one large suitcase, we recommend that you take small and preferably soft bags as they are more convenient to store in your cabin. Hand, bath and beach towels are supplied. Also bring your personal sanitary, shampoo, bath gel, toothpaste, etc. If you are interested in snorkeling, you may bring your equipment, because the equipment on board may not fit to your size. For charging the electrical devices, the supply on board is 220 V.ac and European type plugs are used. Please bring your converters/adaptors accordingly.

Does the gulets have to return to the same port of departure?

This depends on the boat you will choose, her base and reservation chart. A oneway charter can be scheduled by departing from one port and ending in anther. It's best to book early as soon as possible to have the flexibility of an itinerary and ports you like.

Are the yacht charters weekly? Can we rent a yacht more or less than 7 days?

In Turkey, the yacht cruises are mainly operated on weekly basis and from Sarueday to Saturday. We try to suit to our guests’ preferences during low season; however we may not offer alternative periods in the high season. Therefore, the gulet yacht rental prices are quoted per week.

Alternative yacht rentals periods (shorter or longer) can be available according the yachts availability, ports, season, etc. Please ask.
