The 137.80ft  /42m  CRN 43 motor yacht  ‘Sofico’  was built in 2009 by CRN. Zuccon has created both her interior and exterior design.

Sofico’s interior layout sleeps up to 11 guests in 5 rooms, including a master suite, 3 double cabins, 1 twin cabin and 1 pullman bed. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

You’ll find many leisure and entertainment facilities onboard, making her ideal for entertaining friends and family on your charter vacation. There’s lots of space for enjoying an alfresco lunch or dinner on deck, or simply lounging in the sunshine and working on your tan.

She has a cruising speed of 13 knots, a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,000nm from 45,000litre fuel tanks. Her mixture of performance and style is another notable feature.

This impressive yacht comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

A Jacuzzi on deck is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the breath-taking scenery after a long day of exploration.

A Summary of Motor Yacht SOFICO

The generous superyacht SOFICO is a motor yacht. This 43 metre (140 foot) luxury yacht was crafted by CRN Yachts (Ferretti Group) in 2009. SOFICO used to be named (Navetta 43). The yacht is a recent racing maxi. Superyacht SOFICO is a nicely styled yacht that is able to accommodate a total of 10 people on board and has a total of 9 crew. The graceful superyacht has been designed from the naval architecture of Crn and Studio Zuccon International Project. Studio Zuccon International Project undertook the interior design.

M/Y SOFICO is the fourth maxi-yacht of the CRN 43 composite line. Her displacement hull is a desert sand caramel colour, she has four decks, a bulbous hull and can sleep 10 passengers and 9 crewmembers. She also boasts a techno gym workout room and a sauna in the stern of the lower deck, an area with access to the sea thanks to a stern hatch that converts to a swim platform. Her interior has elegant linear Art Deco motifs and features canaletto walnut and a light-hued, natural cherry wood. Materials such as the parquet flooring interspersed with ample inlays of silk carpeting adds a special touch to the interior.

The Construction & Designing with respect to Luxury Yacht SOFICO

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from Crn and Studio Zuccon International Project. The formal naval architect plans are a work of Crn. Motor Yacht SOFICO received her stylish interior designing from the interior design company of Studio Zuccon International Project. In 2009 she was formally launched with triumph in Ancona and post sea trials and finishing touches was then handed over to the yacht owner. Crn Yachts (Ferretti Group) completed their new build motor yacht in Italy. A fairly large area is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 8.65 metres or 28.4 feet. With a 2.3m (7.6ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned with the use of composite.

M/Y SOFICO Engineering & Speed:

She is engineered with two quality CATERPILLAR diesel engine(s) and can reach a industrious top speed of approximately 15.5 knots. The engine of the SOFICO generates 1500 horse power (or 1044 kilowatts). Her total HP is 3000 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2147. Coupled to the SOFICO engines are twin screw propellers. For stabalisers she utilises Mitsubishi. The boat’s efficient cruise speed is 13 knots which makes a range of 4000.

The 140-foot (42.6m) SOFICO is now for charter with Northrop & Johnson. The yacht will charter in the Mediterranean with charters starting at €130,000 per week, plus expenses.

SOFICO is an exceptional charter yacht that offers guests a first-class experience in the Mediterranean. The superyacht was built by CRN in 2009 and received a refit in 2013. Interior and exterior design for the yacht are both by Zuccon International Project.

Across four copious decks, the luxury yacht showcases immense space for guests to socialize, unwind and enjoy the yacht’s luxurious amenities. Guests will fall in love with the yacht’s sophisticated interior that features elegant linear Art deco motifs, parquet flooring interspersed with ample inlays of silk carpeting and warm Canaletto walnut and a light-hued, natural cherry wood. The interior makes charter guests feel right at home.

SOFICO has an exceptional sundeck where charter guests will enjoy spending afternoons, soaking in the sunshine and lounging while taking in the sensational views of the cruising destination. 43m CRN motor yacht Sofico sold

The 42.64 metre CRN motor yacht Sofico , listed for sale by Nord Star Yachting, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Benjamin Bensahel of Camper & Nicholsons International .

Built in GRP by Italy's CRN yard to a design by Zuccon International , Sofico was delivered in 2009 and had a major refit in 2013. She has a vast interior volume, similar to a 50 metre yacht, and accommodates 11 guests in four doubles and a twin cabin with a Pullman berth. All cabins have full en suite bathroom facilities and a special feature is a balcony in the master suite, perfect for private breakfasts at sea.

Her interior features Canaletto walnut and natural cherry wood panelling along with parquet floors inlaid with silk carpeting. A large saloon has comfortable seating, a bar and entertainment centre while forward is a dining area with formal seating for 10 guests. 

Sofico’s sky lounge, equipped with a piano and entertainment centre, offers another relaxation area and has wonderful views. Surprisingly, this room is as large as the main saloon. A gym and sauna are housed in the stern with access to the sea thanks to a stern hatch that converts into a swim platform. Twin Caterpillar C-32C engines give her a range of 3,800 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Guest Accommodation

Behike is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. Built in 2009, She offers guest accommodation for up to 10 guests with a layout comprising a master suite located on the main deck, two VIP cabins, one double cabin and one twin cabin. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study and dressing room. There are 7 beds in total, including 1 king, 2 queen, 1 double, 2 singles and 1 pullman. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Behike such as a sauna to help you detox and regenerate. You can visit the well-equipped gym so that you can keep up with your fitness routine at sea or retreat to the deck jacuzzi and soak up the scenery.

Behike is built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 45,000 litre fuel tanks at cruising speed. Behike features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard Behike. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Another excellent feature are towable toys offering fun and adventure. Also there is a Allegre waterski that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
