ILLUSIONS PLUS combines performance and comfort while offering the long-range cruising capabilities of 5000 nautical miles at 15 knots. The 88.5-meter, six-deck yacht has benefited from private use since her 2018 launch. An innovative vertical bow and an abundance of interior volume measuring in at 3,642 gross tons coupled with her unique propulsion system make her a truly unique gigayacht. Pride worked closely with Rolls-Royce to create a diesel-electric system with Azipull thruster pods, she is ultra-efficient and quiet, without compromising her speed. The interior design is by the renowned Sinot Yacht Design. The main deck salon mezzanine feature allows the interior to be opened up creating a double-height atrium, comfortable seating and a cinema screen while an elevator connects four of the six decks. She features accommodations for 12 guests in 6 massive staterooms including a noteworthy 860-square-foot owners suite, located on its own deck. In addition to the suite, the yacht has two VIPs, two double guest cabins, one twin, and two staterooms for the owner’s staff on the deck below. Quarters for the 25 crew members are in 15 cabins on lower decks.

China is not generally known as a yachtbuilding nation, but the country does have some respected brands like Cheoy Lee and Silver Yachts. One of its superyacht builders, Pride Mega Yachts , recently orchestrated an historic launch for the gigayacht sector. The highly ambitious 290-foot, six-deck Illusion Plus is anything but a domestic project. The build, overseen by an experienced international team at the yard, also had some of the most highly respected names in superyacht design involved in the planning and construction. The interior design is by Netherlands-based Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. London-based Rainsford Saunders Design, now renamed Rainsford Mann Design, did the handsome exterior and Netherlands-based Azure Yacht Design performed the naval architecture. The interior fit-out was done by Greenline Yacht Interiors in Dubai. It’s very rare to find such an internationally respected group of names attached to a single build.

Combined with its nearly 300-foot length, Illusion Plus ’s 50-foot beam turns the gigayacht into a palace. Literally dozens of rooms are aboard the yacht, but one of its most noteworthy is the 860-square-foot owner’s apartment, located on its own private deck. It has 180-degree views through the full-height windows, a separate office, his-and-her bathrooms, and an immense walk-in dressing room. The extra headroom that the designers included in the bedroom and private deck forward also set this set this space apart. In addition to the apartment, the yacht has two VIPs, two double guest cabins, one twin, and two staterooms for the owner’s staff on the deck below. Quarters for the 25 crew members are in 15 cabins on lower decks.

Illusion Plus is a yacht of multiples. It has four interior lounges and two dining rooms. Two Jacuzzis (including a 17-inch-by14-inch main-deck hot tub with waterfall), three custom guest tenders, and a four-deck elevator all add to the yacht’s comfort factor. A double-height atrium that links the saloon on the main deck with the lounge on the deck above gives an unusual open-plan connection to the two areas, while joining both spaces for entertaining large groups. The spa on the lowest deck has a steam room, massage area, and sauna, and its remoteness provides a sense of tranquility. On the main deck is a gym and beauty salon. Pride outfitted Illusion Plus with designer touches, from Baccarat crystal glassware to Hermès crockery.

One of Illusion Plus ’s most impressive features may largely go unnoticed by guests. Pride worked closely with Rolls-Royce to create a diesel-electric propulsion system with Azipull thruster pods, so that Illusion Plus is ultra-efficient and quiet, without compromising on speed. The yacht’s 16-knot top end will earn it respect in the superyacht community, while the 5,000-mile range can crisscross oceans. Illusion Plus is scheduled to be delivered later this summer. Illusion Plus Hits the Water

Pride Mega Yachts recently launched the 290-foot Illusion Plus off Yantai, China. The superyacht is 290 feet 4 inches length overall with a 50-foot-6-inch beam. It’s no wonder the builder says if she had to be summed up in one word, it would be “space.”

Throughout Illusion Plus ‘ six decks, some amenities include what the builder calls the “ocean lounge” — a spa area on the lower deck that includes a sauna, massage room and lobby. It also opens to the aft platform for outdoor relaxation. After a spa treatment, guests could enjoy dinner and a movie thanks to the main deck salon, which converts into a home movie theatre. Anyone still working on dessert at the dining table abaft the salon would still have a great view. Multiple bars are scattered throughout the yacht as well, from the main aft deck to the upper deck lounge to the the bridge-deck lounge.

While serenity and relaxation seem to be this yacht’s main theme (beyond the spa and multiple interior lounges, her exterior space offers numerous sun pads, lounge chairs and seating areas). She also has 3 tenders in her lower deck garage.

Interior design for Illusion Plus is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and is referred to as modern deco in style. Rainsford Saunders Design penned the lines of her steel hull and aluminum superstructure, and her naval architect is from Azure Naval Architects. One major exterior aspect aboard Illusion Plus is the helipad on her foredeck — an amenity that’s right at home on a yacht this size.

Accommodations on board are for 12 guests in 6 staterooms: two VIPs, three guest en suites and the owner’s suite on the upper deck. That full-beam owner’s suite comes with an office area, his and her heads, and, it also opens to a private deck plus it has its own private spa with sauna. And crew-to-guest ratio is almost 3-to-1 on this yacht, with crew quarters accommodating 34.

On the bridge deck, Illusion Plus ‘ wheelhouse is equipped with Rolls-Royce products to match a number of other items aboard: her Rolls Royce diesel-electric engines, twin 2,225 kW Rolls Royce generators and Rolls Royce Aquarius 100 Zero speed retractable-fin stabilizers. In addition, the yacht’s propulsion system includes two 1,700 kW Azipull Thruster pods. That propulsion pushes her to a 16-knot top speed. She cruises at 14 knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles. She cuts through the water with a 13-foot-1-inch draft.

Illusion Plus is scheduled for delivery later this year.

The 88.5m (290.4ft) ILLUSION PLUS has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to ABS classification by a dream team of world-class consultants including Dutch naval architects Azure, exterior designers Rainsford Saunders and interiors by Sinot Yacht Design. She was delivered by the Pride shipyard in 2018 and immediately won the Monaco Yacht Show Award for her interior design.

Her sleek design cleverly conceals a significant beam of 15.4m (50.5ft) and a vast interior volume at 3,642GT across six guest decks, which includes four lounges and two dining rooms. The entire space is illuminated by natural light flooding through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the double-height atrium linking the main and upper decks.

Substantial leisure facilities include a beauty salon, a wellness spa with sauna, a hammam and massage room and a dedicated gym.

Accommodation for her 16 guests includes two VIP suites and a noteworthy 80sqm owner’s suite located on its own deck. The private apartment features a full-beam bedroom with 180-degree panoramic windows and skylight, an office space and a private terrace forward and access to the yacht's foredeck helipad.

Outside space is equally expansive and designed for enjoyment and relaxation, with two jacuzzis, multiple al fresco dining and lounging options and a huge Ocean Lounge beach club area, aft of the tender garage for her two custom tenders. Four of the six decks are served by a guest elevator.

The shipyard worked closely with Rolls-Royce to create a diesel-electric system with Azipull thruster pods and as a result performance is both fast and ultra-efficient with a top speed of 17 knots and low-emissions cruising at 15 knots with a 5,000nm range.

We are pleased to present this vessel for sale with a new, significantly reduced, asking price that demonstrates the owner’s commitment to securing a sale within a short timeframe. She is now asking USD 79,800,000 and, with a price/GT of USD 21,911 against a 2022 average of USD 37,437, she represents exceptional value.

Her interior is the work of Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design in collaboration with the yard’s in-house Interior Department, while the fit out is created by Greenline Yachts Interiors of Dubai. Illusion Plus is able to accommodate 12 guests in 6 luxury staterooms and has a 27-member crew.

The main deck has a luscious spa pool along the stern with two large sun pads on either side for drying off.  Under the upper deck overhang, a bar and two shaded sofas create a comfortable recreational area that can become an extension of the main salon.

Up to 14 people can celebrate a special occasion with a glamorous alfresco meal on the upper deck aft. After dining, guests can unwind in the stern-side seating around two large drinks tables to savour a cocktail at sunset. On the foredeck, there is an additional alfresco lounge ideal for spending time outdoors with hobbies or enjoying an outdoor meal in privacy. The spacious bow is fitted with a helipad and there is an abundance of room for sun loungers or group activities.

The sun-exposed bridge deck aft is fitted with a casual alfresco dining area and two C-shaped sofas face forward and aft for conversation and drinks at sunset with a small group.

Several sun loungers are laid out across the sundeck aft, while the forward section has another incredible large spa pool placed between two sun pads.

The interiors from Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design are a breath-taking combination of natural materials placed against metallic effects and various glazing techniques, amplified by full-height windows and the careful positioning of LED lighting throughout the decks. There is an excellent selection of amenities on board, including a steam room, sauna and massage room within the spa centre, a gym and a cinema.

The lower deck contains the spacious Ocean Lounge, designed to extend out onto the swim platform for relaxation beside the crystal clear blue water. Behind, the spa facilities include a steam room, sauna and massage room unwind and rejuvenate while on holiday. The forward section contains the crew facilities and the majority of the guest accommodation, with each cabin showcasing their own unique design elements in both the cabins and the en-suite bathrooms.

Two VIP staterooms are located on the main deck, each boasting a sizeable private lounge within as well as exceptional en-suite bathrooms. The expansive main salon and dining area connects to the upper loungers, forming an impressive two-tier atrium designed for entertaining large guest numbers at quayside events. The upper floor layout treats guests to a daytime salon and cinema that connects out onto the large outdoor aft lounge.

The Owner's stateroom is its own self-contained studio, and the occupants have private outdoor deck space, a private spa, his and hers bathrooms, a dressing room and private office. On the bridge deck, the Panorama lounge has an extensive wet bar and the darker colour scheme exudes a distinctive night-time vibe.

The sundeck interior is a cosy hideaway both children and adults will covet, providing a den for private conversation and panoramic views from this top deck.

ILLUSION PLUS Specifications

Rolls Royce diesel-electric propulsion engines and a pair of Azipull Thruster pods produce a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 17 knots.

Eternal Tsingshan is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel-electric Rolls-Royce Marine (C25:33L8A) 3,000hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 265,000 litre fuel tanks. Eternal Tsingshan features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 146,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠ A1, Commercial Yachting Service, Ⓔ, ✠ AMS, ✠ ABCU, ✠ DPS-0 classification society rules.

Delivery photos released of 88.5m Illusion Plus

New photos have been released showing the delivery of Illusion Plus , the largest yacht ever to be built in Asia.

The yacht has now departed the Chinese yard Pride Mega Yachts for her maiden voyage to the Monaco Yacht Show, where she will be presented later this month.

She left the yard amongst a colourful send off from the yard, which even featured a traditional Chinese dragon.

Her exterior lines by British studio  Rainsford Saunders Design  were inspired by Rolls-Royce motor cars, with a vertical bow and gently sloping transom. Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to ABS standards, the project dates back to 2007 and was put on hold when the global financial crisis hit. The six-deck yacht was  listed for sale  in February with Y.CO with an asking price of $145,000,000.

A spacious interior by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design , and installed by Greenline Yacht Interiors of Dubai, will accommodate 12 guests in eight cabins. This comprises an owner's suite, two VIP suites, two doubles, one twin and two double cabins that convert to lounges. All guest cabins will have television screens and en suite bathroom facilities while a further 15 cabins will sleep a maximum of 25 crewmembers.

The main deck saloon will have a mezzanine feature that allows the interior to be opened up creating a double-height atrium, comfortable seating and a cinema screen while an elevator will connect four of the six decks.

Other key features include four guest lounges and two interior dining areas, a dedicated spa with a sauna, steam room and massage room and a vast  tender garage . There will also be a lower deck ocean lounge with a bar. Illusion Plus is also kitted out with her own helicopter landing pad.

Outdoor spaces are extensive and include two Jacuzzi tubs, one with a waterfall feature.

Power comes from two 3,000hp Rolls Royce diesel-electric engines for a top speed of 17 knots. She has a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. For added comfort and safety, she has also been fitted with Rolls Royce retractable fin stabilisers.
