  • Aoife F 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Lovely cruise but improvements needed Food and drinks are very tasty and the atmosphere is chill and comfortable. We went on the 1 hour trip and they didn't specify the difference in sights on the different trips. We were looking forward to see Statue of liberty. That could be more clear. Also extra tacos were overpriced but tasty . New York is expensive in general . Staff were attentive and nice . Read more Written December 25, 2022
  • PhilippeBaucher 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Many things At first, the music was horrible. The volume was too high (we couldn’t talk between us) and you didn’t have any place where the music didn’t harass you. And also the songs were of bad taste. Just latino songs. If you do this cruise, eat before because the buffet was tiny and when the boat leave the dock at 10pm, they tidy the food. So dinner cruise isn’t the good title but appetizer and cruise is more correct. The temperature was cold. To avoid. Read more Written January 1, 2020
  • flaviom177 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Fireworks save the day I got tickets for the “gala dinner” the 4th of July on the Princess boat from World Yacht, New York Cruise Lines. Thank God for the spectacular fireworks show that NYC puts up. Aside from those wonderful 26 minutes the entire experience was a disaster. From arrival, where they make you stand in line for 40 minutes to get tickets, when you already received a bar coded email, to the outrageously bad dinner (by the time we got served - after arriving exactly on time - they had obviously ran out of salad and most everything else...sadly they still had plenty of gas in the grill which enabled the rendering of a shoe sole “filet “) to the extremely cheap wine offering. All for an outrageously high price! Our server tried very hard to make things work but clearly only a super hero would have been able to make things better. So, don’t miss the opportunity to experience the 4th of July NYC show but DO NOT do it on board this “cruise”!!! Read more Written July 17, 2019
  • jbsh7777 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Great once you get past the check-in HOURS. First, the check-in debacle. They asked us to arrive at 5pm, but didn't allow check-in until 5:45pm and then after you waited in that line, you could board. This means that you will be all dressed up and sitting in the hot sun for 1.5+ hours!!! Why on earth would they not allow us onto the air conditioned boat earlier! I ended up with heat sickness and felt like throwing up rather than eating once we did board - just an awful start. Next - the food - dinner was an okay buffet - not bad, but not great. Finally - the fireworks were amazing and made me forget most of the earlier pain :) Read more Written July 8, 2019
  • Arr Jay R 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Just No Don’t get sucked in by the low tour price ($10 when we visited). There is too much to do in New York to waste time with this. The boat leaves the pier on the west side of New York, travels to the upper west side, and then back to the pier. During this time, you get an opportunity to purchase overpriced drinks, eat average lobster fare, view the industrial Jersey shore, and see the backs of buildings that line Central Park. Maybe I was so disappointed because I expected something else. Others on the boat seemed to have a great time. I thought I was getting one of the tours that goes around Lower Manhattan so you can see the skyline. Service was great, though. Read more Written June 18, 2019
  • Lars O 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Cancelation without explanation or apologies I booked this tour as a birthday present for my parents during their NYC trip. Unfortunately, when they arrived at the pier, they were told that their trip has been canceled. There was no explanation given. After some research, I found out that the company has changed their business model, now they do not offer regular tours anymore but only on special days. It is fair for any company to do what they want, but when you have already sold tickets, you have to do your job, do the tours that have already been booked and start your new business model afterwards. I think the company is just completely unprofessional, they didn't even see the need to inform us beforehand. Although a refund has been made, I m still very angry and would not recommend anyone to book with this company - the birthday present for my parents I gave together with my brother has been ruined by them. • 902cindyt 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles New Year's Eve Cruise Here are the good points: It was raining like hell on NYE in NYC this year, so this boat was the place to be as far as I'm concerned. It was a little difficult getting to the dock area bc it was so crowded. We paid $500 a person and had the 4 course dinner. The service was great. Erika did an great job. We had a table by a window, and we had a fabulous time. Fun dancing downstairs, open bar, nice fire works. Magical evening. All that said....if you are serving filet mignon and lobster tail, then it should be cooked to perfection...especially if I'm paying $500 a person (there were 6 of us). All steaks had to be medium and were not really, and the lobster tail was dry with no drawn butter. That was disappointing but did not ruin my night. I also wish you could have gotten a little closer to the statue of liberty, but whatevs..... I want to go back to what a fantastic job Erika did. We loved having her as our server. • juanirc25 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Worst than horrible. We went yesterday in the timeless yatch for the New Year’s Eve, The boat is nice, I will not deny that, but the service was terrible, first we had to wait in the rain for more than 45 minutes, when we entered there was a problem with the table, we were a group of 7 in an 8 table, an 3 more families had our table. But the worst part was the service: - the bar was always too crowded, we always needed to be in line for more than 25 minutes to get one drink. - The Buffet: I don’t have a word to describe this, there was more than 300 people at the boat, 3 floors but only 1 buffet in the bottom flor, we made a line for 1.25 hour to get the food, we ate a 11.25 pm, and the food was terrible, dry chicken, bad cocked veggies, hard as a stone, pasta with no flavor. And the celebration cake was a joke, I’ve never ate a cake as bad as that one. New Year’s Eve must be a special night, and when you pay $200 per person you except something good, this was below decent I fell scammed. I will not recommend this boat and this company in any circumstance. Read more Written January 1, 2019
  • FlickHarv2015 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles A lovely idea with terrible service We attended on the evening of thanksgiving for a river cruise and 4 course thanksgiving meal. It was unfortunately very cold, below zero and we had to queue outside for 20 minutes to have our vouchers checked and be shown to our table, not a great start. I then had to keep my coat on the entire time as it was cold inside aswell. We asked if the hearin could be turned up a little as there were others in coats aswell. It was, but 10 minutes before the cruise finished. We had to ask for our champagne after being sat at the table for 30 minutes without a server appearing. Our meals were brought out at different times and were like warm. The couple next to us were actually forgotten about with the main meal and had to ask only for it to be brought out cold. However one thing was brought out very quickly, the drinks bill at the end of the night. The cruise itself was lovely, and seeing New York lit up from the river was amazing. But the experience was definitely not worth the $300. I appreciate thanksgiving is busy but when you have paid that amount of money, good service is expected. Read more Written November 23, 2018
  • elvoisey 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Spectacular experience! We visited as a family to celebrate a special wedding anniversary; greeted by a glass of champagne on arrival and two entree dishes before the 3 courses. We’d advised in advance we had a fussy vegetarian in our group and the company more than catered for her. The views of Manhattan at night and the Statue of Liberty were incredible, well worth the price for a beautiful evening Read more Written September 9, 2018
  • _adele5516 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles absolutely fantasic!! We booked this cruise through viator and were a little concerned at first. We arrived at the yacht and were really impressed. We showed our viator voucher and were escorted on to the yacht without any issues. On arriving we were greeted with champagne. It was a lovely evening and took the opportunity to take photos on the deck. We were escorted to our table and the night started from there. From start to finish we were really impressed. Food was outstanding and the waiter was keeping a watchful eye over us ensuring that our drinks were continously topped up. This experience was the cherry on the top of the cake to round a fabulous 5 day trip to New York. We felt the cruise was a little pricey at first i.e. 278 dollars but we didnt come away disheartened and felt the whole experience was an experience to remember. Dont hesitate lifes too short book it and you wont be dissappointed. Great opportunity also to take night time pictures of the fabulous Manhattan skyline as well as the Statue of Liberty. A friend of ours suggested another cruise that was double the price and I am so pleased we didnt decide to do that. We definitely came away feeling that this experience was excellent value for money. • Royalscott 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great view of the city There is a serving of Champagne and Canapés between 6pm and 7pm before the ship sails, so don’t be late. The Champagne glass was filled regularly. The food is very good and there are choices to suit everyone. There is still a problem with the window tables with the person on the inside sitting with their back to the window. There is a disk jockey on the lower deck which was not very busy but the music is piped through to all the decks. The music will appeal more to the younger passenger but he did play Frank Sinatra when at the Statue of Liberty. The viewing decks are good with great views of the Statue of Liberty and the city lights. We were given a glass of wine each as we had been on the cruise a number of times before which was a nice touch. The below deck lounge is very nice and worth a visit after docking. We still hanker back to the old days of the live band and the dance floor on the dinner deck. A good way to spend an evening. Read more Written September 3, 2018

  • Included: Cruise aboard the Spirit of New York , professional photographer, outdoor buffet lunch or dinner, unlimited coffee or tea, & live DJ

This is the best value New York dinner cruise along the Hudson River and East River on board the Spirit of New York . Admire Liberty Island, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Empire State Building while enjoying a delicious dinner.

This evening cruise begins with a welcoming greeting. You’ll be seated at a private table on the open desk and a professional photographer will capture the moment for posterity.

Tour Information & Booking

100% refund for cancellations within 24 hours of tour experience, #2 new york city: luxury brunch, lunch or dinner cruise.

  • Included: Cruise aboard an all-glass vessel, live entertainment, live commentary, outdoor buffet lunch or dinner, unlimited mimosas, & coffee or tea

This is the best New York dinner cruise for those who enjoy live music while they dine. Aboard the Bateau New York , you’ll also benefit from enviable views of the Manhattan skyline. An all-glass walls and ceiling design provides you with unbeatable panoramic visibility.

As you sail around Manhattan Island, you will see the iconic bridges along the East River that locals call their BMW — Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Williamsburg Bridge, all built between 110 and 140 years ago.

The famous skyscrapers need little introduction. The Chrysler Building and the Empire Building’s silhouettes are so well known that you’ll point them out with ease.

This NYC cruise is the best way to admire the Statue of Liberty and nearby Ellis Island — the two first landmarks seen by many generations of immigrants arriving from Europe. This may be where your own ancestors arrived and passed through immigration.

While you’re eating and later while you’re admiring the scenery, you will be entertained by a live pianist. If the lively mix of Broadway hits, blues, and jazz gets your feet tapping, you can get up and dance. And if you prefer your views uninterrupted by glass, you’re welcome on the open decks.

As well as a delicious buffet meal, you will be served as many mimosas as you like. Make the most of your stay in the Big Apple with this luxury NYC dinner cruise.

#3 New York: Buffet Lunch or Dinner Cruise from New Jersey

  • Departure Point:  Lincoln Harbor Marina, New Jersey
  • Departure Times:  12pm, 7:30pm
  • Included: Cruise aboard the Spirit of New Jersey , professional photographer, outdoor buffet lunch or dinner, unlimited coffee or tea, & live DJ

This is the best value NYC dinner cruise sailing from New Jersey. It takes you down the Hudson River toward Ellis Island and Liberty Island and then up the East River toward the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

You’ll be welcomed aboard the Spirit of New Jersey and led to a private outdoor table for your buffet meal. A professional photographer will capture the moment as a souvenir of your memorable NYC cruise.

When dinner is served, you’ll have access to a delicious 3-course buffet meal. There is ample food for everyone, so don’t be shy to fill your plates. Unlimited coffee, iced tea, and hot tea are also available.

While you’re eating, enjoy the wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline, including the Freedom Tower and the Chrysler Building. An onboard DJ will play a selection of Broadway hits and popular music to keep you entertained. If you’re feeling energetic, there is also an opportunity to dance.

After you’ve eaten, you may decide to visit the observation deck. From here you can benefit from amazing panoramic views of the Upper Bay. This is a fantastic New York dinner cruise for families. A visit to NYC isn’t complete without a cruise on New York’s famous rivers.

#4 Bateaux New York Dinner Cruise

Travelers Guide to New York City

Airports & entry, planning your nyc trip.

  • Traveling in the Time of COVID

Restaurants & Eating Out

Nightlife & entertainment, getting around, accommodations, attractions, what not to do in nyc, get the most out of your trip to nyc.

Whether you only have a day to visit in New York City or you are in town for a whole week, it is important that you know how to get around, where to go and also what not to do in the City. Use this handy travel guide to get the most out of your NYC experience.

If you are flying into New York City, it can get a little confusing as there are 3 airports that service the city. Both John F. Kennedy airport (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA) are located in Queens.

This puts you right in the heart of NYC when you arrive. However, JFK primarily receives and sends international flights, unless you are flying through Continental Airlines. If you are flying in from another location within the US, you will most likely fly into LGA.

The Newark International Airport (EWR) is a more modern airport and with less crowds, it can be an easier and less stressful way to reach New York City. Newark isn’t very far from NYC. The benefits of flying into EWR may outweigh being a little farther away when you arrive.

A vacation in New York City requires some forethought and planning. First, you need to know how and when you will get there. However, additional planning for the time you are there can make the trip a lot less stressful.

Many restaurants in the city are very small, and very busy. You don’t want to be stuck waiting in line for several hours just to eat dinner. Make your dinner reservations as far in advance as you can.

You may also want to purchase a CityPass or an Explorer Pass. Instead of paying admission to each of the attractions you plan to visit, you can purchase one of these tourist passes that allow you entry into a set amount of attractions out of the 35 that accept the passes.

It not only saves money that can be spent on other parts of your trip, but it makes getting into these attractions a lot easier.

Traveling in the time of Covid

Like many other destinations worldwide, tours and visitor attractions in NYC have adopted special procedures.

Wearing a mask in mandatory in many locations. You will be expected to supply your own mask and wear it when you enter public buildings.

Keep your distance from other visitors who are not in your family group or bubble. You will be expected to keep your distance inside minibuses and other vehicles and when seated in restaurants.

At the time of writing, NYC welcomes visitors but requires pre-travel testing for Covid-19. You can obtain the most up-to-date information directly from the NYC COVID-19 Citywide Information Portal .

New York City has some of the finest dining you can experience in the US. However, dining in these restaurants can be pretty pricy. Plan on enjoying a couple of meals at a luxury restaurant, such as Gabriel Kreuther where you can enjoy French cuisine, or even the Empire Steakhouse. Here, you can enjoy a great steak as well as great drinks.

Cheaper restaurants or even casual dining will help you save some cash. Enjoy authentic NYC pizza at Famous Amadeus Pizzeria, for example. However, if you are on the move and need to grab something quick, there are always street vendors. You may even be surprised at how good the food is. To get the best taste of NYC, we would recommend taking a guided NYC food tour .

The New York City nightlife keeps both locals and tourists busy well into the night. If beer is your thing, you want to check out the Blind Tiger. Specializing in craft beers with 30 taps available, you’re sure to find a beer you love.

The Angel’s Share may not have a glamorous outdoor appearance, but inside, you will find classy and flashy drinks. As a Japanese cocktail bar in East Village, it has a unique feel. Want to visit someplace famous? The 7B has a grunge feel, also located in East Village, and has been featured in several movies, including the Godfather.

However, if you haven’t planned your NYC nightlife before arriving, you won’t have a problem finding a fun, unique place to enjoy a few drinks or even dancing. Famous for fun, the New York City nightlife has a lot to offer.

The subways in New York City may even be an attraction. There’s nothing quite like speeding through underground tunnels on a train. However, the subways are a very easy, quick, and cheap way to travel throughout the city. The local busses also make getting around easy.

You will have to pre-pay for your rides on both the subway system and the bus routes through the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, or MTA. You can get single-ride passes or even an unlimited ride pass that lasts for the length of your trip.

You will definitely want to keep your subway and bus route map handy so you can figure out your travel ahead of time. Subways have stops every 8 to 10 blocks, approximately but if you take an express ride, the stops are farther apart. If you plan on visiting Staten Island, you will need to take the free ferry to the island.

If you are looking to stay in the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple, you want to find a hotel in midtown. The right hotel will give you beautiful views of Time Square and more. However, these hotels are usually a bit more expensive just because of the location.

If you are looking for a luxury stay, the Mandarin Oriental or the famous Park Hyatt are close to attractions. If you want to save some cash and stay in a more affordable hotel, the Skyline Hotel New York or the Travel Inn, located in midtown, work just as well.

If you are traveling to New York City with your family, or even a group, you may want to look into a vacation rental. Several companies can help you find a residence within the city that is being rented out by the owners. They won’t be there, as you are renting the space. You typically have a lot more room, and conveniences such as a kitchen, when you find a vacation rental. It helps that it can save you money as well.

If you are going to enjoy a New York dinner cruise, you most likely want to visit in Summer or Fall. The average temps in NYC during the winter hover just above freezing and aren’t ideal for visiting most attractions in the City. The best time to visit would be from June to September.

You should look up the projected forecast just before you leave so you know what weather is expected. Be sure to pack clothes accordingly, but you may want to throw in a couple of outfits meant for different weather, just to be safe.

The Big Apple is never short on attractions to keep tourists busy from sun up to sun down. The Empire State Building is one of the most popular attractions as you are able to see the New York skyline from the observation deck. The Statue of Liberty is not to be missed. If you find yourself in Central Park, there are plenty of food vendors and even free activities to enjoy. If you want to take in a show, be sure to hit Broadway, and if music is your thing, there’s always the Radio City Music Hall.

Past tourists to New York City have learned from early mistakes and many locals can tell you how to plan for a trip. Most advise that you shouldn’t get out of the car or off the plane without a plan for your trip. Winging it in the big city means you may miss out on seasonal events or even attractions you want to visit but they are closed or busy.

Stopping by attractions when they are the busiest will also have you wasting a lot of time standing in line. Visiting during off-peak hours will allow you to enjoy those attractions with less crowds, also saving time for other tourist attractions.

You shouldn’t plan to visit only those museums that are the most popular. Others, such as the Frick or the Neue Gallery, can be just as exciting and also feature smaller crowds.

When walking on the sidewalks, be sure to walk with traffic and set aside if you need to slow down or stop. You shouldn’t walk more than 2 people wide and keep to the side of the sidewalk that is moving in the direction you are headed. When stepping off a curb to hail a cab, place yourself past any parked cars and wave and those cabs who have their cab light on, signaling it is available.

A lot of tourists stick close to the hotel and avoid many areas that are busy or large. However, you shouldn’t be afraid of getting lost. The streets are mostly laid out in a grid and it is usually very easy to tell which direction you are going or need to go.

Knowing that New York City is one of the biggest tourist areas around the country, locals are usually very willing to tell you where the closest subway entrance is, if you are headed in the right direction, or even how to get back to your hotel if you’ve lost your way. There’s nothing like a visit to the Big Apple, and while you are in town, be sure to take in the best New York dinner cruise.

Grenada Prison Escapees Are Charged With Murder of American Couple

The couple, Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel, went missing while sailing off the coast of Grenada.

A catamaran with the name “Simplicity” written on its hull sits on blue water on a sunny day. It is flying the American flag.

Three men who had escaped from a prison in Grenada and were accused of hijacking an American couple’s yacht to flee have been charged with their murder, the police said on Thursday.

The couple, Ralph Hendry, 66, and Kathy Brandel, 71, went missing while sailing off the coast of Grenada . They had been spending the winter cruising in the Caribbean in their catamaran called Simplicity, which was found abandoned in neighboring St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Feb. 21.

There was no indication in the latest police statement that the bodies of the couple had been recovered as of Thursday.

Trevon Robertson, 23; Atiba Stanisclaus, 25; and Ron Mitchell, 30, face two counts of “capital murder by intentionally causing the death of Ralph Hendry and Kathleen Brandel,” the Royal Grenada Police Force said.

The authorities from police forces in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines have given different ages and name spellings for the escapees.

The men were also charged with escaping lawful custody, housebreaking, robbery and two counts of kidnapping; Mr. Stanisclaus is also facing a rape charge, the police said, but no details were offered on those accusations. The three men made their first court appearance on Thursday, and are due back on March 27. The Royal Grenada Police Force did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The police had said in a statement released on Feb. 22 that three men who escaped from a prison in Grenada on Feb. 18 and made their way to St. Vincent using a yacht that had been docked in the St. George area of Grenada.

The prisoners were recaptured on Feb. 21, the same day that the couple’s yacht was found. At the time, the police said they were “currently working on leads that suggest that the two occupants of the yacht may have been killed in the process.”

At a news conference on Feb. 26 , Commissioner Don McKenzie of the Royal Grenada Police Force that “information suggests that, while traveling between Grenada and St. Vincent, they disposed of the occupants.”

During a Feb. 26 news conference , Junior Simmons, superintendent of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, said the joint investigation into the disappearance with Grenada police was ongoing, and he said the couple was presumed dead.

The investigation revealed that while sailing from Grenada, “the suspects committed several criminal acts including bodily harm to the couple,” he said.

The couple, who were married for 27 years, were “veteran cruisers,” according to the Salty Dawg Sailing Association , a nonprofit that brings together a community of sailors engaged in long-distance cruising on their boats. The couple were longtime members, the organization said in a statement, and “they both contributed to building the S.D.S.A.”

In a joint family statement posted on the association’s website on Feb. 27, Nick Buro, the son of Ms. Brandel, and Bryan Hendry, the son of Mr. Hendry, said that “if we have learned anything from this tragic event, it’s that we know they left this world in a better place than it was before they were born.”

“Ralph and Kathy lived a life that most of us can only dream of,” the message said. “Sailing the eastern coast of the United States, living on their home Simplicity, making friends with everyone they encountered, singing, dancing and laughing with friends and family — that’s who Ralph and Kathy were and that’s how they will be remembered in our hearts.”

10 of the biggest yachts at this year's Palm Beach International Boat Show

world yacht new york

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach's waterfront from March 21-24 — bringing with it some of the largest, most luxurious yachts in the world.

The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach features a range of boats that are longer than 100 feet, including 18 that are longer than 151 feet.

Here's a look at 10 of the biggest boats that visitors to the show can experience up close.

Come Together

This 197-foot behemoth with a price tag that starts at $59.95 million makes it the most expensive boat for sale at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Come Together provides plenty of space and amenities to do as its name suggests and bring more than a dozen people together for an adventure at sea, according to its listing on the show's website.

It was built in 2022 by Amels and features a hybrid propulsion system. The interiors were done by Winch Design of London, with materials including Jerusalem limestone, light matte oak and walnut, and bronze. The ship's six cabins can house up to 14 guests, the listing said.

A 27-meter sun deck features a Jacuzzi with a sunbathing area, gym equipment, sheltered bar and wind-protected dining table.

You can find Come Together in the water at Ramps C and D.

Hospitality

Want to buy the 164-foot Hospitality? The price starts at $29.75 million, according to the yacht's listing on the boat show's website.

The Westport-built vessel was first constructed in 2011 and refit in 2021. It has seven cabins that can accommodate 16 guests. That includes a primary suite and a VIP suite. It also features a sun deck with a hot tub and sunbathing area.

The ship has traveled "to some of the world's most remote places with an impressive 4,000+ nautical mile range," its listing said.

You can find Hospitality in the water at Ramp E at the show.

The 155-foot Ancora was just completed in August by manufacturer Mengi Yay, its listing said. It is being presented by Fraser Yachts.

Ancora was built for charter use and has a master suite with a private balcony, plus four staterooms including two doubles and two convertibles, allowing for up to 10 guests, the listing said.

Summer charter rates with Fraser run from about $282,000 per week in the western Mediterranean Sea to about $260,000 per week in the winter in the Caribbean, according to Fraser's website .

You can find Ancora in the water at Ramp 2.

Next Chapter

This Benetti-built vessel is 180 feet and 6 inches and was built in 2003 with a refit in 2022, the listing said.

Next Chapter's six cabins — including a split-level master suite with an observation lounge and private study — can accommodate up to 13 people. It features a Jacuzzi, gym and beach club, and is built for charter use, the listing said.

The price starts at $19.9 million, and the ship is being presented at the show by The International Yacht Co.

Next Chapter will be in the water at Ramp E.

For $21 million, you can be the new owner of the Feadship-built Berilda, a 155-foot yacht built in 2001 and refit in 2020-21, according to its listing.

The yacht has "the highest pedigree with a documented history of excellent owners and meticulous care," the listing said. That ownership includes Royal Swedish Yacht Club member Sten Tegner, and Richard and Leslie Fairbanks.

The current owner bought Berilda in 2021 and has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice and through Europe, New England, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, the listing said. The yacht features six cabins for up to 14 people and quarters for a crew of up to 10.

Berilda will be in water at Ramp C.

Liberty, built by Trinity, is 187 feet and 2 inches, according to its listing. The yacht is designed for entertaining, the listing said, with social spaces including a dance floor.

Liberty was built in 2012, with work including a paint job, main engine rebuild, new generators and 10-year survey completed since 2018. The price starts at $24.75 million and the ship is being shown by The International Yacht Co.

The yacht has six cabins for 12 guests, with additional capacity for 13 crew, the listing said.

Named simply W, this 188-foot Feadship yacht is being shown by its manufacturer, according to its listing.

The vessel, originally launched as Larisa in 2013, had a major refit in 2020 and was renamed at that time, the listing said. W's owner changed the livery and antifouling, among other alterations, over the past 10 months, the listing said.

W will be in the water at Ramp C.

Priced at $20.9 million and being shown by exhibitor FGI Yacht Group, the 164-foot Tsumat was built by Trinity in 2012 and refit last year, according to its listing.

The exterior was designed by Geoff Van Aller. The interior by Ramón Alonso features leather, suede, marble and walnut, with onyx floors.

There are six staterooms for up to 12 guests and housing for a 10-person crew, the listing said.

Tsumat will be in the water at Ramps 2 and D.

The Nita K II is about 171 feet and was built by Amels in 2004, the listing said. It's priced starting at $23.9 million and presented by Merle Wood & Associates.

A refit in 2021-22 included an overhaul of the main engines and generators, and a 20-year Lloyd's class special survey was completed earlier this year, the listing said.

The interior was designed by Alberto Pinto and Laura Sessa, and the yacht can accommodate up to 12 people in five staterooms, plus room for 14 crew members in seven cabins, the listing said.

Nita K II will be in the water at Ramp D.

If it tells you anything about the level of luxury aboard the BG Charade, this 157-foot yacht was built by Feadship in 1990 for the late Paul Allen of Microsoft, the listing said. Under Allen, the BG Charade completed three circumnavigations and served as the honeymoon venue for Bill and Melinda Gates.

A technical and cosmetic refit was completed in 2016 and included new generators, rebuilt engines, new teak on the exterior and a complete electrical system update, the listing said.

BG Charade has six cabins for up to 12 guests, plus accommodations for up to 10 crew, the listing said.

The yacht will be in the water at Ramp 7.

Spectacular multi-million dollar yachts — check! Balmy, waterfront location — check! Family-friendly exhibitions and fun — check!

Then it must be the 42nd annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which cruised into West Palm Beach this week. The city’s waterfront Downtown was transformed into a yachters’ haven, filled with ultra-luxurious yachts and cruisers and a seemingly endless range of yachting-inspired activities.

This year some 800 boats and yachts participated in the show, which is expected to lure over 55,000 total visitors along with 600 brands. In total, the four-day show is anticipated to pump over $1 billion into the economy of the Palm Beach area, which has seen both its population and popularity surge since the pandemic.

“Beyond its economic significance and standing in the industry, the Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents, revered as one of the region’s must-attend events,” said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC).

The show supports a series of satellite events such as the Winward VIP Club, with an open bar, gourmet dining and special pop-up activations. The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach at Palm Harbor was where the show’s most glamorous — and truly gargantuan — superyachts are on display. At the AquaZone, which is presented by Nautical Ventures, guests can enjoy a “show within a show” via an interactive experience featuring a wide range of water sports and cutting-edge, marine-related products.

“The Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents.”

As always, the Show delivers an exceptional array of culinary experiences, including world-class cocktails provided by sponsors such as Goslings Rum. The Show also includes a series of education seminars that appeal to visitors of all ages, including the Hook the Future’s Kids Fishing Clinics with Captain Don Dingman, who demonstrates various fishing techniques while showcasing a wide variety of fish species. Participants get a free Hook the Future x Carolina Skiff rod and reel combo.

But it’s really all about the boats. Here are five of the most unique, intriguing and eye-popping vessels on display.

The lucky charm

Interior of a room on the Talisman C.

Few yachts at this year’s show are as jaw-dropping as Talisman C. Designed by London-based interiors aces H2 and manufactured by Turkish master yacht-builders Proteksan Turquoise, it’s currently listed for sale by British yachting firm Burgess for a cool $59.7 55 million. Spanning just over 231 feet long, it features six full-sized cabins that can sleep up to 14 guests, including a sprawling owner’s suite with its king-size bed and crystal chandelier, massive walk-in closet and grand library (which can easily be converted into an additional cabin).

Upstairs, the yacht’s sundeck features a large glass-encased Jacuzzi, sun beds and dining area under the sun or stars. A chic swim platform allows for easy access to the azure seas while the nearby aft deck area includes a fully equipped bar with club seating as well as a full-size dining area capped by a glass-threaded chandelier.

The vessel is powered by a pair of 2,447hp Caterpillar diesel engines, which provide a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles.

The emperor

Exterior shot of Nero.

Reaching just under 300 feet in length, the Nero is, without doubt, one of the most eye-catching vessels at the entire Palm Beach show. Although completely contemporarily designed and manufactured, the Nero embodies the look and aesthetic of classic boats from yachting’s golden age during the 1930s. Fully overhauled in 2021, the Nero — which is currently on the market for just under $500,000 per week via Burgess — was designed in the spirit of Corsair, a yacht launched in the 1930s that belonged to legendary Wall Street financier J.P. Morgan.

Inside, it could not be more luxurious. On the top deck is a world-class gym fitted out with equipment by Technogym, while a few steps beyond is a beauty salon, which comes with an in-house beautician and masseuse.

There are six cabins with room for 12 guests — along with an on-board Jacuzzi, pool and waterslide. Throughout, veteran yacht designer Laura Pomponi has updated and upgraded the Nero’s look, introducing a range of new handmade carpets, along with hardwood floors, new sofas and elegant art-works. Pomponi has also lent her hand to Nero’s distinctive 30-foot Corsair custom-built tender that has been refitted so guests can arrive in impeccable style.

The secret agent

Exterior of deck aboard Casino Royale.

As its name suggests, the 236-foot Casino Royale brings a large dose of Bond-like elegance and intrigue to West Palm Beach. Constructed by Italian master shipbuilder Tankoa in 2018 and given a top-to-bottom retrofit in 2022, Casino Royale includes six cabins for 12 passengers and has been awarded a slew of industry accolades for its innovative and forward-thinking technology and aesthetic. Nearly two dozen crewmembers tend to those lucky voyagers, which luxuriate in an on-board circular swimming pool and access the ship via a helicopter port.

The yacht’s primary suite is nothing if not grand, featuring 180-degree views from its king-size bed along with its own study and al fresco terrace with private sunbed and Jacuzzi. There are five additional guest suites — all with their own private baths. Just beyond is an open-air living layout complete with a range of bespoke contemporary furnishings across the boat’s nearly half-dozen passenger decks.

Outside the amenities are just as abundant and include an onboard beach club with a lounge, bar, sauna, terrace and hammam/shower. All are ideal locations to rest and recharge after a workout in the yacht’s wellness center. On the main deck, there’s a nearly 20-foot-long infinity pool, while that helipad can easily convert into a dance floor.

The love boat

Completely futuristic and totally cool, the 180-foot-long Come Together is the ultimate example of stealth wealth on the high seas. Completed just two years ago by the Dutch firm Amels and currently on the market for a cool $65 million, Come Together features an unmistakable architecturally styled exterior reminiscent of a city-center skyscraper.

The boat can house up to 14 guests and 13 crew members within its unmissable steel hull and an aluminum-clad super structure — all cruising at a top speed of 15.5 knots.

The boat’s expansive master suite is set within its main deck and features sprawling storage space, a dressing room as well as his and hers bathrooms. There are an additional VIP cabin, two double cabins and two further cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. Up top, there’s a fully equipped gym and Jacuzzi — while a set of Jet Skis, water skis and hover-like Seabob watercraft keep the fun going just off deck. Come Together’s unique underwater lighting system also delivers a strong dose of excitement come nighttime and is the perfect way to enjoy an after-hours swim.

Want more? Then don’t forget about the on-board wakeboards, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment. And, when the moment strikes to head from the boat to land, travel could not be easier thanks to an easy-access 30-foot Limo Tender.

The cordial cruiser

Exterior of Hospitality.

The aptly named Hospitality ticks off the right boxes when it comes to superyacht bells and whistles. This twin-engine beauty can house up to 16 passengers along with 11 crew at a maximum cruising speed of 24 knots. Built back in 2011 by Westport Yachts here in the US, Hospitality — which is currently on the market for just under $30 million — underwent a comprehensive retrofit in 2021.

Along with all of the requisite yachting toys — Jet Skis, Seabobs and paddleboards — Hospitality includes a grand private owner’s suite with its own private relaxation balcony, seven cabins along with a relaxation room that can be used as a gym or spa and meticulously designed public spaces across is handful of decks. There’s also a handy tender for quick — or, not so quick — jaunts to the shore for dining and shopping.

Hospitality mostly cruises the Caribbean to New England, making the most of Northern Hemisphere winters.
