SCT (Service Centre Trogir) Marina is a new, contemporary marina in the ancient town of Trogir in the Split-Dalmatian region of the Adriatic coast. A full-service, first-class marina, it is in a strategic location for all the pristine sailing areas close by. From Trogir, the Kornati islands are to the north, spellbinding Dubrovnik is to the south and straight out is the stunning archipelago of Split, some of the best sailing and one of the top marinas in Croatia.

Based right next to, and part of the Trogir Shipyard company, the spacious SCT Marina arises from a longstanding tradition of shipbuilding and is a 1 st category services centre for all types of vessels, making this marina an excellent option for permanent berthing. It is also certified with the ISO9001:2008 which specifies requirements for a quality management system with regard to customer service.

Charter fleets reside in this marina and it is a most convenient place to start a sailing charter holiday.

The depth of the marinas runs from 3m to 12m and so is also able to accommodate superyachts.

SCT Marina has 256 sea berths for boats from 12-70 m in length, all supplied with electricity and water on seven pontoons.  There are also 30 berths for mega yachts from 25 to 120 m in length.

The full-service shipyard has numerous dry berths for any kind of vessel including commercial ships. There is a service zone with travel lifts with a maximum capacity of 600 T and 100 T. There is also a vessel lifting service on floating docks with a 1,000T and 8,000T capacity. In addition, the marina offers high quality technical service, repair works as well as overhauls of any kind, including: cleaning, washing and painting of the hull above and below the waterline as well as the superstructure; repair works to steel, aluminium and plastic; maintenance, repairs and installations of all boat systems and equipment; licensed services of world-renowned producers of marine engines; maintenance of sails, masts and deck equipment. On top of all that there is a warehouse storage facility and professional diving services for underwater repairs.

Other facilities and services on offer at SCT Marina are: a friendly and multi-lingual staff, docking assistance, weather forecast service, a car park, free Wi-Fi Internet, 24-hour security services, showers and public toilets, a nautical shop, a hair salon, a quayside snack bar, a restaurant, a laundry room, an ATM and exchange office and a fuel station. The historic centre of Trogir is an easy 10 minute walk from the marina where you can find other amenities.

In terms of waste disposal the marina offers the safe disposal of grey and other waste waters, used oil collection, waste disposal and recycling bins.

Central Dalmatia's Base Trogir is on the Adriatic Sea's eastern coast. Trogir's ancient town center, which has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is located on an islet between the coast and the island of Ciovo. The industries of shipbuilding and tourism are essential to the local economy.

Trogir's ACI marina is located on Ciovo island, directly over the street from Trogir. With its "Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia" medal, ACI marina Trogir was ranked third best small marina in the Adriatic Sea in 2017 by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Across from Trogir's town center on the island of Ciovo, you'll find the ACI marina and yacht club. A 100-meter-wide canal separates them. Because the ACI marina in Trogir has been there for quite some time (it is not a new marina), there is less room to move than in the SCT, but you will have no trouble finding our offices.

Parking & Shopping in Trogir Marina

Parking is available in the marina for a constant security monitoring fee. Marina parking is expensive. €10/day; €60/week for a car. Bus: €20 a day; €100 a week. Trogir's shopping opportunities are excellent, as are the city's public transit alternatives. Supermarkets, for example, are available on the mainland. There's also a massive fruit and vegetable market just before the bridge to the historic center.

Trogir's historic core occupies a tiny island wedged in between the Croatian mainland and the nearby island of Ciovo. Sailing is not recommended in the waterway north of the town since the water is just 2 meters deep. The town is connected with the shore by an old stone bridge and a modern wooden bridge to the west. Another bridge connects the ancient city to the island of Ciovo, home to the ACI marina (2.80 m clearance). Ships from Kastela Bay approach from the west between Ciovo and Celica Rock because they cannot pass underneath the bridge. The green lighthouse on Cape Cubrijan (Fl G 2s 8m 4M) provides a recognizable landmark, located at 43° 30.7′ N 16° 14.6′ E. Approaching from the east, the route is indicated by a series of red and green buoys.

The passageway beneath the bridge has a depth of 4.5 meters. Sailing is not recommended in the waterway north of town since the water is just 2 meters deep.

Arriving at Čiovo, you will be surprised by the unspoiled nature, as well as the clarity of the sea. Take this opportunity to finally take a refreshing dip in the turquoise Croatian Adriatic sea, fighting off the relentless summer heat. After cooling off, you could enjoy lunch on the sundeck of your yacht charter or head straight towards the nearby city of Split .

Being a regional centre, Split is so much more than a major traffic port; this settlement has a history that spans almost 2 millennia, offering much in terms of sights to see and experiences to take in.

The old core of Split consists of a Roman palace, built by the emperor Diocletian , as his summer getaway location; the beauty and the intricacy of the palace earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage list .

After inspecting every detail of the palace, why not take a short walk through the Marjan forest park and enjoy an elevated panorama of the interior – you will also easily spot your yacht charter in the distance. Spend the night berthed in this awesome town and enjoy the lively evening atmosphere of a Croatian coastal city.

Day 2: City of Split – Brač island

After an alfresco breakfast, set a course towards the island of Brač , practically located right across Split . The cruise will be short and sweet, ending with a beautiful bay in which you will enjoy a clean and clear sea, alongside lush vegetation and sounds of sea breezes, waves and crickets.

Your dedicated yacht crew will launch all the water toys, so you can enjoy numerous options of having fun on the Croatian Adriatic sea: will you snorkel and dive, exploring the vast riches of the quiet seabed. Or will you enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride on jet skis or towables?

Either way, spend the first part of the day enjoying a typical Croatian summer atmosphere, before heading towards the town of Bol. This settlement is home to the most famous of all the Croatian beaches – Zlatni Rat – which protrudes more than 300 meters (500 ft) into the sea.

This beach is a natural phenomenon, because it constantly changes shape, depending entirely on wind and air currents. Enjoy the plethora of possible water sport activities that are more than welcomed around Zlatni Rat : inflatable water parks for kids , towables and jet skis for fun-filled rides or kayaks and SUP boards for a tranquil meditation amongst the waves.

After you have sufficiently enjoyed the beach, go on a biking adventure , exploring old forts and monasteries around Bol town, or retire to the air-conditioned cabins on your yacht charter and allow yourself an afternoon siesta. In the evening, one of the numerous private bays around the town of Bol could be your anchorage for the night.

Day 3: Island of Brač – Hvar island

Cruise to the island of Hvar , with an option of stopping underway and enjoying a swim on the island of Zečevo. This small isle offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the water toys at your yacht`s disposal, as well as take in beautiful natural scenery and crystal-clear waters.

Continue onward to Hvar island and anchor in a quaint fishing village of Jelsa. Here, you can enjoy a traditional Dalmatian lunch of freshly caught seafood, seasonal vegetables, massive amounts of olive oil and excellent local wines.

After you rest and digest, you might wish to explore Hvar`s medieval town of Stari Grad, the oldest settlement on the island. Known as Pharos in ancient Greek, Stari Grad is filled with cultural heritage, in the form of historic architecture like monuments, temples and churches.

Climb on top of the high walls and towers which command the entrance into this magnificent city and marvel at the beauty of the panorama, but also your yacht charter in the distance.

Day 4: Island of Hvar- Korčula island

After you spend a night anchored in Stari Grad, continue your journey towards the island`s centre, the city of Hvar. Cruising alongside the northwestern coast of the island, you will come across numerous coves which are ideal for snorkelling or kayaking.

Once you arrive in the town of Hvar, you could climb atop a small hill and witness the Španjola fort. Enjoy the spectacular vistas of the surrounding Pakleni archipelago, which could be your target for the afternoon.

If you decide to stop by the Pakleni islands,  you could experience truly untouched nature or cruise straight toward Korčula island , disembarking in the charming Korčula town . Known to possess one of the most well-preserved and beautiful historic old city cores in Dalmatia, this town will amaze you with its medieval architecture.

Often dubbed `Little Dubrovnik`, Korčula has many things to offer to casual sightseers, as well as history buffs. These include sites like medieval fortifications, churches, monasteries, palaces and buildings,  as well as the birthplace of Marco Polo , all made from fine white stone.

Day 5: Island of Korčula – Mljet island

ACI Marina Trogir is located on the island of Čiovo. The local infrastructure is good and Split international airport is located nearby (6km). The marina is open all year, with its wonderful view of the historic medieval town of Trogir and the famous St. Lawrence's Cathedral. 

The old town of Trogir is situated on an island between the mainland and Čiovo Island. North of the town the channel is only 2m deep, and connected with the mainland by an old stone bridge. On Čiovo Island the town is connected by a 2.8m bascule-bridge which does not open.

For boats that cannot pass under the bascule-bridge, access to the port is possible from the west, between Čiovo Island and Čelice reef. A good landmark is the green lighthouse on Cape Čubrijan (Fl G 2s 8m 4M), which can be used as a way point as well (43°30,7’ N 16°14,6’ E). For those approaching from the east, the way is marked with red and green buoys. Sea depth in the passage under the bridge is 4.5m.

In Trogir, just 10 minutes from Split airport, our 1 st and largest base is found. The town of Trogir is a destination worth visiting no matter if you have a yacht charter starting from here, or if you are sailing by. The town has been around for more than 2000 years, and you can really feel it in both the old stunning buildings as well as the entire city planning.

If you take a short 10-minute walk from the old town you will end up in Marina Trogir, our home. Our marina is the latest addition in the old town and is part of a renewal of the old shipyard in town. In the marina you will find our office as well as most of our fleet.

The Sailing are

Just outside of Trogir you have the central Adriatic archipelago. Plenty of world-famous destinations for sailors and well known for its variety of anything from posh to cosy options. You will not be alone in this sailing area but it’s a good reason for it as well. It is as good as it gets!

Travel to Trogir

By Airplane

Given the very close distance to Split airport, arriving with airplane is the most common solution. From the airport we will assist you with a fast and reliable transfer to our base.

Driving to Trogir is not a bad solution given the newer highway A1 that winds its way thru Croatia.  If you want a more scenic route while driving down from Europe the costal road is a great option as well, where you will be able to stop for a swim or lunch in all the small villages you will pass by.

When you have arrived in Marina Trogir there are great parking facilities for you to use which has surveillance 24/7 just a few meters from where our bouts are docked.

By Public transport

Taking a train or bus from central Europe is certainly possible as well most of the routs goes thru Zagreb and onwards to Split from where you can take a local bus or a taxi to Trogir.

SCT Marina Trogir

SCT Marina Trogir stands as a premier yachting destination in Croatia , renowned for its strategic location on the central coast of the Adriatic Sea, within the Split-Dalmatia region. This marina, enveloped by the serene bay protected from winds and storms, is not just a docking spot but a gateway to the enchanting ancient city of Trogir. Surrounded by picturesque islands and historic walls, it offers a modern and spacious haven for yachtsmen and marine enthusiasts alike.

SCT Marina Trogir is located on the southern side of the channel that leads into Trogir, positioned on the northern coast of Čiovo island and just west of ACI Marina Trogir, to which it is distinctly separate. Its coordinates, 43°30´40ʺN ; 16°14´40ʺE, place it in a bay that is naturally shielded, offering tranquility and safety for all vessels.

Approach to the Marina

Trogir is connected to the island of Čiovo via a low road bridge, necessitating that yachts enter the town from the west. The approach is clear of hazards, though it’s worth noting that the northern coast of the channel is shallow, advising against too close an approach by yachts. Water depths start at about 10 meters at the channel’s entrance, gradually decreasing to 4 meters near the road bridge.

Croatian refit yard and marina undergoes major investment

In 2013, Brodotrogir Shipyard (BS), the Croatian refit facility, was acquired by Kermas Energija, a Zagreb-based investment group, from the Croatian government. Since the acquisition and privatisation of the facility, BS has embarked on an aggressive investment plan that, among other things, includes the €50 million development a new marina in the Service Centre Trogir (SCT) and the improvement of its refit activity capabilities.

“SCT’s vision it to become a top-standard marina and servicing base offering first-rate servicing of all types of vessel, with a quality of service and staff expertise that meets the need of the modern nautical tourist,” starts Mateo Tramontana, a member of Brodotrogir’s management board.

The investment in SCT, which includes the development of the marina, nautical services and nautical tourism, is a three phase plan, of which approximately 50 per cent is currently completed. At its conclusion, overall investment in the project should reach a total of around €50 million.

“The first phase of the project was completed in July 2014 and Marina Trogir started operations at the time, offering 13 sea berths for ships from 12 to 60m long and 80 dry berths for ships from 10 to 24m long, while SCT provided the option of lifting vessels in the floating docks with a capacity of 800 and 8,500 tonnes and all the repair and reconstruction services,” explains Tramontana.

Phase two of the development, which began in 2014 and is expected to conclude at the turn of 2017/2018, already includes an additional dry berthing platform for the servicing of yachts up to 600 tonnes and 25 water berths for yachts up to 60m, as well as two basins for travel lifts, one of which has a 600 tonne capacity. Still to be completed in phase two is a 1000 l/min fuel dock, a quay, the building of a breakwater, a technical facility and a VIP facility.

The third phase of construction will include 25 – 30 berths for superyachts measuring 60 – 80m, as well as all the facilities that would traditionally accompany yachts of this size. “The marina is planned to be a first-category marina with sea berths and dry berths, as well as the option of yacht maintenance and servicing,” concludes Tramontana.
