Super-yacht Tranquility at sea

Superyacht linked to Jho Low and 1MDB scandal for sale again, for an extra $74m

The Tranquility, seized by authorities and sold for a ‘bargain’ $126m in April, is back on market after stint as celebrity hangout

A superyacht once owned by Jho Low, a fugitive at the centre of Malaysia’s 1MDB financial scandal , has been put back on the market after a few months as a celebrity party venue.

The vessel, now named Tranquility, is being sold for US$200m, an increase of more than $70m on its previous price tag. It is currently owned by the Genting Group, a Malaysian conglomerate with business interests in real estate, hospitality, plantations and energy supply.

The firm bought the 91.5-metre yacht from the Malaysian government for $126m , which was about half its original purchase price, after it was seized by Indonesian authorities off the coast of Bali in 2018.

Previously named Equanimity, the yacht was owned by Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho, 37, better known as Jho Low. He has been accused of masterminding the looting hundreds of millions of dollars from Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, 1MDB . Low is in hiding, believed by many to be in China. He has previously said that he has not broken any laws.

Former prime minister Najib Razak, 66, is currently on trial in Kuala Lumpur for 1MDB-related charges.

Tranquility typifies Low’s super-luxury, celebrity-packed lifestyle . It features a gym, massage room, grand piano, swimming pool, sauna and “beach club” section for socialising. Winch Design, an exclusive British firm, designed the interiors.

Before moving to make a sale profit on the vessel, Genting rented it to super-rich clients at a cost of $1.2m a week. US celebrity Kylie Jenner hired it for her birthday celebrations.

Before going into hiding, Low used his wealth to move in similar circles to the reality TV star. He became friends with Paris Hilton and mixed with Hollywood’s film industry elite. In 2018, the producers of Martin Scorsese’s hit film The Wolf of Wall Street paid back $60m to the US government after allegations the film was funded with money stolen from 1MDB.

In April this year, when Genting acquired the yacht, Low spoke through his publicist of his anger at its “bargain-basement” $126m sale price.

Tranquility, Jho Low's former superyacht

Now’s your chance to get a real bargain on a superyacht —that is, if you don’t mind a little scandal thrown in. Tranquility, a 300-foot boat once owned by fugitive financier Jho Low, is up for sale for the second time this year.

After a sun-drenched summer spent being chartered by celebrities, the controversial vessel is available for a cool $200 million, reports the Guardian . While the asking price is nearly $75 million more than current owners Genting Group paid for the yacht this spring—a figure Low blasted as “bargain-basement” at the time—it’s still quite a discount compared to the $250 million the Malaysian businessman reportedly paid for it in 2014.

Previously named Equanimity , the boat was owned by disgraced Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho, better known to the world as Jho Low, until it was seized by Indonesian authorities off the coast of Bali in 2018. This April, the Malaysian government sold the boat to Genting for $124 million in an attempt to recoup losses from the 1MDB financial scandal in which Low is implicated. The financier is accused of having been a key player in a scheme to launder billions of dollars from the country’s state investment fund. Low, who is believed to be in hiding in China, has denied any wrongdoing.

Built by Dutch shipbuilder Oceanco , with an interior from British firm Winch Design , the yacht is just one of many extravagant purchases Low allegedly made with money plundered from the fund. The boat features 11 guest cabins, can host up to 26 passengers, and has room for a crew of 31, according to the sales listing on Camper & Nicholsons’ website . Other amenities include a gym, massage room, Perspex-encased grand piano, jacuzzi pool, sauna, a fully equipped salon and a “beach club.”

Since Genting purchased the boat this spring, it’s been available for charter for $1.23 million (€1.1 million) per week, according to CNN . In August, reality TV star-turned-beauty mogul Kylie Jenner celebrated her 22nd birthday on board the ship with friends and family.

In addition to the superyacht, Low is accused of splashing his money on all manner of lavish purchases over the years, including properties around the world, art by Picasso and Basquiat and helping fund Martin Scorsese’s 2013 movie, The Wolf of Wall Street . Last year, producers of the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring flick paid the US government $60 million after being implicated in the 1MDB scandal.

The infamous superyacht linked to the 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, formerly known as Equanimity, appears to be listed for sale on the British publication Boat International website.

Now known as Tranquility, the sale price of the superyacht appears unlisted though it was sold to casino operator Genting Malaysia Bhd for RM520.8 million in April 2019 – half its original purchase price.

The 91.5-metre yacht had been in the centre of the 1MDB scandal, allegedly bought using stolen funds by fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho (aka Jho Low) who was known for his lavish lifestyle and partying with Hollywood stars.

jho low yacht equanimity

According to US court documents, 1MDB officials allegedly diverted more than US$850 million (RM 3.6 billion) to private entities incorporated in the Seychelles and British Virgin Islands. The funds were used to purchase Tranquility (then known as Equanimity) at RM1.03 billion for “Low’s personal benefit”, as well as a private jet, Picasso paintings, jewellery and real estate.

The luxury yacht built in 2014 was a mirror of Jho Low’s indulgent lifestyle as it comes equipped with dazzling amenities such as a helipad, Turkish Bath, on deck jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool, cinema, beauty salon, and 22 luxurious rooms.

Following the request of the US Department of Justice which was investigating money laundering involving 1MDB, Indonesian authorities seized the yacht in Bali in February 2018. It was later returned to Malaysia which put the yacht up for auction.

Following its sale to Genting via a private deal, an incensed Jho Low released a statement via his publicist criticizing the government for accepting the “bargain-basement sale price”.

Genting then put the yacht up for charter and it was even rented by Kylie Jenner for her 22nd birthday bash in August 2019.

However, it seems that the yacht didn’t attract that much star power as it was put back up on sale in October 2019 with a price tag of US$ 200 million (RM840 million).

Tranquility sails under the flag of the Cayman Islands and is currently docked at Singapore.

Malaysia has sold the Equanimity — the superyacht involved in the 1MDB scandal — for $126 million, according to a report from The Guardian .

The yacht can fit up to 22 passengers, has a helipad, and boasts a variety of wellness amenities.

It gained some notoriety last year when it was impounded during the investigation into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, in which $4.5 billion from the 1MDB fund was misappropriated. It previously belonged to the fugitive Malaysian banker Low Taek Jho, who is believed by US authorities to be the mastermind behind the scandal .

According to Bloomberg , the Malaysian government had been spending up to $500,000 per month to maintain the yacht.

The yacht specialist Burgess was the broker for the sale. Its $126 million price tag is a significant cut from the $250 million that Low reportedly paid for it.

Burgess CEO Jonathan Beckett said in a company-released Q and A that the yacht has been on the market since the end of October 2018.

Last Chance to Bid on $250 Million Yacht Seized From Malaysian Fugitive Jho Low

F or sale: a piece of 1MDB history complete with Turkish bath, swimming pool and a helicopter landing pad.

Wednesday marks the last auction day for the Equanimity yacht once owned by fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho and formerly used to host parties featuring the likes of socialite Paris Hilton and Australian model Miranda Kerr.

The 300-foot vessel was put up for sale last month after being seized in March as part of global attempts to recoup assets allegedly lost through the state investment company. Its former owner, better known as Jho Low, has been described as a central figure in the billion-dollar 1MDB scandal that has resulted in worldwide investigations and engulfed Goldman Sachs Group Inc. along with former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.

While the yacht might appear to be of interest only to those with a quarter billion dollars burning in their pockets, a smooth sale could help ease pressure on Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad as he seeks to fulfill a campaign pledge to recover funds believed to be missing from 1MDB. The leader has said he aims to recover as much $4.5 billion.

Yacht specialist Burgess, the sole broker for the sale, said there’s interest from both local and foreign investors. Some of those potential buyers have already had to stump up a $1 million deposit to pay for the privilege of surveying theyacht, said Ong Chee Kwan from law firm Christopher & Lee Ong, which is representing Malaysia and 1MDB in the sale.

The Equanimity is just one part of a treasure trove of glitzy possessions once owned by Low and now the subject of legal wrangling and asset seizures around the world. The U.S. has filed forfeiture lawsuits against $1.7 billion of assets that were allegedly acquired with money embezzled from 1MDB, including a $1.29 million heart-shaped diamond and a $3.8 million diamond pendant that Low gave to Kerr, as well as a $3.2 million Picasso painting that Low gifted to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Low has previously called the yacht’s seizure “illegitimate,” while Mahathir challenged the vessel’s owners to reveal the source of funds used to buy Equanimity.

The Malaysian Admiralty Court ruled in October that the Malaysian government and 1MDB are the rightful owners after no one from Equanimity Cayman Ltd., the company that held titles to the yacht, appeared in court to contest the claim. The company said in August that it hadn’t received any “legally valid notice” on the hearing.

The judicial sale process means interested buyers must send in sealed bids to the Sheriff of the High Court of Malaya, who also holds a sealed appraisal note setting out the yacht’s court-approved value. The Sheriff will pick the highest offer as long as it’s more than the amount set out in the note, and Malaysia may have to consider another option if all the bids are lower. The yacht has already cost Malaysian taxpayers more than 3.5 million ringgit ($835,000) in maintenance.

Despite its colorful history, the successful buyer of the yacht will get a globally-recognized ownership title “free of mortgage, attachment and all encumbrances,” according to Burgess’ site.

Jho Low’s Superyacht EQUANIMITY Sold For $126 million

Jho Low’s Superyacht EQUANIMITY Sold For $126 million

April 4, 2019 6:12 pm

Superyacht linked to malaysian 1mdb scandal finally sold.

Fugitive Malaysian financier Jho Low’s superyacht, “Equanimity”, which is linked to a multibillion-dollar scandal at Malaysia’s state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), has been reported sold.

Casino operator Genting Malaysia Berhad bought the yacht on Wednesday for US$126 million, Tommy Thomas, Malaysia’s Attorney General, said on Wednesday.

Jho-Low Equanimity yacht

The 91-metre (300-foot) yacht can accommodate up to 22 guests and 31 crew, and has an interior clad in marble and gold leaf. It boasts a cinema, gym, spa, swimming pool, lift, and helipad.

“Equanimity” was among assets allegedly bought by Low and his associates with money taken from the fund, US and Malaysian officials have said.

Low, who has repeatedly maintained his innocence, faces charges including money laundering in Malaysia. He has been charged in absentia amid suspicions that he is hiding out in China.

Check out a timeline of how the now-notorious superyacht went from its days as Low’s “party” boat to being sold at auction.

August 2017

Equanimity-profile-2

“Equanimity” first comes under the spotlight after investigations begin into Low’s alleged involvement in the 1MDB corruption scandal.

The US Department of Justice claims that the businessman owns more than US$1.7 billion in assets, allegedly bought with stolen 1MDB funds, including the superyacht, Reuters reports.

“Equanimity”, has been used by Low for hosting parties, attended by celebrities such as Australian model Miranda Kerr.

The superyacht, along with its crew, is located and seized in Bali, Indonesia, and inspected by Indonesian and American authorities working together on the investigation, Reuters reports.

Low responds by criticising the US for taking the vessel based on “unsupported claims” about his alleged wrongdoing, Malaysian newspaper,  The Star,  reports.

Subsequently, an Indonesian court rules that the seizure is illegal, and the megayacht is relesed, but is not allowed to leave Bali’s Tanjung Benoa port.

Malaysias-Prime-Minister-Mahathir-Mohamad

Malaysia Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad visits Indonesia and makes a personal request for the yacht to be handed over to Malaysia, Reuters reports.

Indonesian police impound the yacht again. Indonesia hands the yacht over to Malaysia, and the vessel is later spotted in Port Klang, Selangor. On its arrival, the public and the media flock to see the ship.

Thomas says that the vessel has been brought to Malaysia after legal treaties between the U.S., Indonesia, and Malaysia were activated.

Malaysia announces plans to take an inventory of the ship’s items, allow the public to view the vessel, then sell it at the highest price.

Low criticises the Malaysian government, calling the move “a publicity stunt” that will result in bids for the vessel falling below its fair market value, Reuters reports.

October 2018 “Equanimit”y is put up for auction, with the ship’s estimated value to be disclosed only after bids closes on November 28.

If the highest bid matches or exceeds the estimated value, the court will accept the sale.

Equanimity-impounded

The Star reports that bids for the superyacht were “not of acceptable degree”, with the minimum price set at US$130 million.

April 2019 Malaysia’s government receives several offers for the yacht of over US$100 million and sells it to the highest bidder, Genting Malaysia.

Jho Low’s super yacht Equanimity sold for US$126 million

' data-srcset=

jho low yacht equanimity

Petaling Jaya—Equanimity, the luxury superyacht that belonged to the fugitive financier at the heart of the 1MDB scandal, Low Taek Jho, has been sold for US$126 million (S$170.6 million, RM514 million) to Genting Malaysia Bhd.

Malaysia’s Attorney General, Tommy Thomas, announced this in a statement on Wednesday morning (April 3). “The Government of Malaysia is pleased to announce that the Superyacht Equanimity is to be sold to Genting Malaysia Bhd or its special purpose vehicle (SPV) company at the price of US$126 million.

This will rank as the highest recovery to date for the Government of Malaysia from the 1MDB scandal; within a mere eight months from the commencement of this action.”

Malaysia’s Admiralty Court approved that the offer from Genting to purchase the Equanimity be accepted based on the Sheriff’s Terms and Conditions.

Genting will be paying for the yacht by the end of this month.

The company made the best offer on the yacht in the five months that it has been on the market since October 2018, although it is somewhat lower than the market price evaluation made by Winterbothams at US$130 million.

Other offers had actually come in for the purchase of the yacht, with some even over the US$100 million mark.

Genting made the purchase directly from the government, without a broker. Therefore, there is no agency commission for the sale, which means savings for the Malaysian government of around US$4.4 million (S$6 million, RM18 million)

The Malaysian government seized Low Taek Jho’s superyacht in August 2018 and put it on sale shortly afterward as part of the effort to recover some funds stolen by Low and his cohorts from the state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Mr Low reportedly paid US$250 million (S$ 344 million) for the superyacht.

No ordinary yacht, the Equanimity may well be considered an object that is at the height of luxury. It can accommodate 22 passengers, as well as the 31 crew members serving those guests. It is a 300 foot (91.5-meter) vessel with more than 10 cabins and a whole host of other wellness amenities, including a spa, a circular swimming pool on the top deck, a sauna and a gym; as well as its own art gallery, movie theatre, and yes, a helipad to boot.

Malaysia has been eager to sell the yacht, as the government is spending almost US $500,000 (S$ 677,000) for its monthly maintenance costs.

As of last November, Malaysians had paid RM3.5 million (S$1,147,000) for the upkeep, legal fees, port services and staffing of the Equanimity in the few months since it was seized by the government, which took Low’s yacht in August.

In October, the High Court of Malaya decreed that the yacht is the possession of 1MDB and the government of Malaysia since it was unclaimed by its registered owner. Bidding for the sale of the yacht has begun, with interested parties being required to put down a US$1 million deposit.

When the Government of Malaysia seized the yacht last year, Mr Low issued a statement on what it called its “illegal seizure.”

“ STATEMENT REGARDING THE MALAYSIAN AND INDONESIAN GOVERNMENTS’ ILLEGAL SEIZURE OF THE YACHT EQUANIMITY – 04 AUGUST 2018

Equanimity is owned by Equanimity (Cayman) Ltd. That company is already litigating this matter in Indonesia and the United States. But given the fact that Mr Low will be inevitably drawn into the media coverage over this illegal seizure by the Malaysian government, he issues the following statement through his lawyers:

The action of the Mahathir government in illegitimately taking this asset shows just how quickly the rule of law disappears in Mahathir’s regime. It is a violation of an Indonesian law and court decision by a politically motivated Malaysian government bent on advancing its own political agenda with little regard to existing court rulings or basic legal rights.

As he did in Malaysia’s 1988 judicial crisis, Mahathir is showing the world that his new regime still has no interest in the rule of law.”

KUALA LUMPUR: The luxury superyacht 'Equanimity', believed to be owned by fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low will be sold within the next three to four months, said Malaysian Attorney-General (AG) Tommy Thomas on Tuesday (Aug 14).

"We expect the process (of selling the yacht) will be completed within three to four months pending nobody contesting the ownership of the yacht in our courts," said Thomas at a special session during the 2018 International Malaysia Law Conference.

"The money that we get (from the selling) will be transferred into a fixed bank account which will be granted to any party who can successfully establish the ownership of the yacht in a civil suit," he said.

The RM1 billion (US$250 million) superyacht  arrived in Malaysia on Aug 7 after being handed over by the Indonesian authorities.

The Equanimity was seized off the coast of Bali by Indonesia in February at the request of US authorities as part of a multi-billion dollar corruption probe launched by the Department of Justice (DOJ) over 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

However, an Indonesian court ruled in April that the seizure was illegal and that the yacht should be returned to its owners.

But Indonesian authorities seized the yacht again in July following a formal request for legal assistance from the US. Indonesia then agreed it would hand over the superyacht to Malaysia.

In a separate matter, Thomas said Jho Low should appoint a lawyer to set aside the warrant order by the Kuala Lumpur High Court against the seizure of the luxury superyacht.

"He should appoint a good shipping lawyer to set aside the order in our Court," Thomas said.

He said this when asked about Low’s comment that Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad had "hijacked" the legal proceedings of other countries in order to acquire the Equanimity .

Thomas also said that he has no jurisdiction to interfere with the investigations of the police or any other relevant authority such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) or Customs Department.

"Multiple agencies will investigate independently and we receive the IPs (investigation papers) after the investigations are completed. So far, SRC papers came to us," he said.

Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak is facing criminal breach of trust and abuse of power charges related to funds from SRC International, a subsidiary of 1MDB, before it was taken over by the Ministry of Finance.

READ: Former PM Najib Razak claims no knowledge of luxury yacht purchase with 1MDB funds

It was reported on Aug 7 that 1MDB has claimed ownership of Equanimity, which is docked at the Boustead Cruise Centre in Klang, Selangor.

Other claimants are two of 1MDB subsidiaries and the government of Malaysia, who believe their money was misappropriated in the purchase of the yacht.

It was also reported that the AG’s Chambers has invoked the Admiralty jurisdiction of the High Court in Kuala Lumpur against the yacht and on Aug 6, the court issued a warrant against it.

Commenting about political interference, Thomas said politicians are entitled to speak their mind.

"I do not mind. Principle of subjudice does not exist. I support free speech," he said.

When asked about civil servants who sabotage or leak information to those who had been in the previous government, Thomas said that they will be prosecuted if there is sufficient evidence.

"Charges will be made against several individuals," he said.

Auction starts for fugitive Malaysian financier Jho Low's $345 million yacht Equanimity

jho low yacht equanimity

KUALA LUMPUR (BLOOMBERG) - Malaysia started an auction of financier Low Taek Jho's US$250 million (S$345 million) luxury yacht that investigators allege was bought with funds embezzled from investment company 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Bidding on Equanimity starts on Monday (Oct 29) and will end on Nov 28, according to Mr Ong Chee Kwan from law firm Christopher & Lee Ong, who is representing the government and 1MDB in the sale of the 300-foot (91m) vessel.

He could not provide an estimate on the amount Malaysia expects to raise from it.

"All I can say is as high as possible," Mr Ong said, referring those interested to yacht brokerage firm Burgess, which is handling the process.

The yacht is among more than US$1.7 billion in assets that the United States claims were acquired by Low, commonly known as Jho Low, and his accomplices with money they allegedly siphoned from 1MDB.

A US district judge in May ordered Low's companies to hand over the vessel to the US so it could be sailed from Indonesia - where it was seized in February - and sold.

Instead, it ended up in Malaysia, arriving at a port in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur on Aug 7. It is unclear how Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad secured the Indonesian authorities' agreement to relinquish possession of Equanimity to it.

Low has said Malaysia's move to acquire the vessel was "illegitimate", while Tun Mahathir has challenged the yacht's owners to show the source of funds to buy Equanimity. A spokesman for Low did not immediately reply on Monday to an e-mail seeking comment on the auction.

In August, a Malaysian court approved an application by the government and 1MDB to dispose of the boat that they said was costing "substantial and escalating expenses" to maintain.

Equanimity Cayman Ltd, the company that owns the yacht, said before the court decision that to move for a sale in Malaysia immediately would be a violation of due process and international legal comity, and would call into question the actual ownership of the yacht for any buyer.

Mr Ong said on Monday that the exchange of ownership of the vessel will take place a few days after bidding ends.

(Oct 13) Burgess, the world's number one superyacht brokerage house appointed as central agent to sell Jho Low's superyacht Equanimity, said the yacht is in good condition and taken care of by a professional crew.

On Aug 24, the superyacht's holding company, Equanimity (Cayman) Ltd, had criticised Malaysian officials for mishandling the US$250 million superyacht.

“Malaysia has currently docked the yacht in a hazardous environment in which toxins such as water pollution and nearby smoke are greatly damaging it,” the Cayman Islands-registered company said in a statement to Malaysian media.

“Because Malaysia apparently does not have – or does not want to spend – the necessary funds to properly maintain the vessel while it is prepared for a value-maximizing sale, Malaysia has instead proposed a ‘fire sale’, in which the yacht is to be sold for a fraction of its true value."

In a report in SuperyachtNews.com, Burgess rejected these claims by saying, "The yacht is in good condition, in a safe environment, berthed at the Port Klang cruise ship terminal in Malaysia, and is being taken care of by a professional yacht crew under the supervision of a specialised yacht management company.

"As is practice in judicial sales, the maintenance costs of the vessel in the meantime are advanced by the party requesting the court for the sale. The costs are then recovered from the purchase price following a successful sale."

In an exclusive statement to SuperyachtNews.com, Burgess said, "The judicial sales process has been defined by the High Court of Malaya as being the appropriate process in this case – it is in line with its admiralty jurisdiction and the common practice adopted by Courts in many countries."

According to Burgess, there will be no published "asking price" or "reserve price", although the High Court may decline even the highest bid if it falls below the formal Court-appraised value of the yacht. The appraised value of the yacht, provided by Winterbothams, will remain confidential until all bids are received and opened by the Court. Subject to the above, the High Court is likely to accept the highest bid from a bidder meeting the due financial criteria."

According to SuperyachtNews.com Burgess also rebutted Equanimity (Cayman) Ltd's claim that "Malaysia’s seizure of the vessel is already contrary to a US court order appointing the US government as custodian of the yacht" and that "the US has not proven its case regarding the Equanimity".

Burgess clarified that "the High Court of Malaya arrested the yacht in accordance with its admiralty jurisdiction", providing an opportunity for "clean and unencumbered title [of ownership] to the purchaser under its judicial sale, consistent with other countries. The yacht is now in the custody of the Malaysian Court, without any challenge to this process."

Its interior design uses unique materials such as wenge wood, bamboo, marble, and gold leaf to accentuate the yacht’s Asian-inspired theme.

2. It’s the 54th largest yacht in the world

…which explains why there are 9 rooms on the yacht !

The cabin configuration comprises 1 Master room, 4 VIP staterooms, and 4 double cabins. So, if you’re ever invited to any of Jho Low’s parties on the yacht, you can comfortably spend the night, along with 17 other guests!

It was also reported that the vessel can easily accommodate 26 guests and 30 crew at one time, which brings the number of people that can fit into the boat to 56 people ( or 56 police officers)!

In 1961, the boat was originally built for Coco Chanel measuring at 121 foot (approx. 36 meters) and it was named Big Eagle. Jordan bought over the boat in the 70s and made some modifications to it which added an extra 46 foot (approx. 14 meters) to the vessel.

The yacht ended up measuring at 167 feett (approx. 50 meters), but it still couldn’t beat Jho Low’s superyacht which measures at 300 feet (approx. 91 meters).

Fun fact: Jordan’s yacht was actually named The Nadine in real life, not Naomi.

5. The Equanimity is an award-winning superyacht

In 2014, the vessel was crowned the WINNER for:

  • the Finest New Yacht category in Monaco Yacht Show Awards 2014
  • the Best Yacht of the Year (over 82m) in World Yachts Trophies 2014

Malaysia’s Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the government plans to sell this vessel once all the relevant paperwork is settled. Meanwhile, part of the vessel, if not whole, may be opened to members of the public for viewing.
