Nice to Cannes

Upon arrival at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, a driver will be waiting to take you directly to the Port of Nice, where your charter yacht is docked, ready for your week-long luxury yacht charter on the French Riviera. The yacht’s crew will be waiting for you on the aft deck with glasses of champagne to welcome you aboard your home away from home. Before departing for your first destination, Cannes , the yacht’s Captain will provide a brief safety briefing and explain some important yachting “do’s and don’ts.” Meanwhile, you can take some time to explore your new surroundings and enjoy the stunning south of France scenery from the jacuzzi while the crew prepares the yacht. Once the yacht has dropped anchor opposite the famous Carlton Hotel, a delicious lunch will be served on the aft deck.  

After lunch, you can visit the Iles de Lerins , a small group of islands off the coast of Cannes. The islands feature Sainte-Marguerite, home to the Fort Royal where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned, and Saint-Honorat, which has a beautiful monastery where you can purchase some of the fabulous items produced by these stylish monks, including wines, liqueurs, and excellent honey. If you’re interested in high-end shopping, Cannes is the perfect destination for you. All the big luxury names like Prada, Gucci, Hermes, Chanel, and Christian Dior can be found there. For those looking for a more relaxed afternoon, you can enjoy swimming or indulge in an onboard massage. As the sun sets, it’s time to get dressed up for a glamorous night out in Cannes! Bespoke Yacht Charter recommends the 2-star Michelin Palme d’Or at the Martinez hotel on the Croisette for the ultimate dining experience. After dinner, you can dance the night away at one of Cannes’ many nightspots, like the Bâoli club in Port Canto.

Cannes to St Tropez

Hopefully the heads are not too sore this morning! A lavish buffet breakfast will be laid out on the yacht’s sun deck when you wake. After breakfast, time for a quick swim before departing for your next destination, the infamous St Tropez . Cruising past the beautiful red rocks of the Esterel, the Captain will head past the town of St Tropez to what is perhaps the most famous stretch of sand anywhere in the world and certainly on the Cote d’Azur, St Tropez’s Pampelonne Beach !

Once the Captain has dropped anchor, the first thing that will become very obvious is that you are most definitely not alone. Pampelonne is one of the most popular superyacht anchorages for luxury yacht charters on the French Riviera, if not the entire world. Why are all these yachts here, you might ask? Yes the scenery is stunning, but it is in much of this part of the world. The answer lies on the shoreline and the thirty or so beach clubs that populate the 3 miles of sand that makes up Pampelonne Beach.

There’s a beach club at Pampelonne Beach to suit all tastes. Some of these beach clubs are incredibly flashy and loud, others much more modest and relaxed! We’ve decided to make reservations at the original St Tropez beach club, Club 55! Club 55 originated in 1955 when a small structure served as the onset canteen providing food to the cast and crew of “And God Created Woman” starring THE St Tropez icon, Brigitte Bardot! Over its’ sixty year history, Club 55 has become the definitive Cote d’Azur beach experience for many and is a fixture on almost every French Riviera yacht charter tinerary. Yes many of the guests are rich and famous, but the atmosphere that prevails here is one of a refined, casual discretion. Enjoy the fabulous Mediterranean cuisine of the Cote d’Azur in a chic yet relaxed environment.

As the sun begins to set, your charter yacht will head for St Tropez itself and its’ famous Old Port. If you’ve booked far enough in advance, you’ll head straight for your berth, if not then it’s highly likely that tonight your yacht will be at anchor just outside St Tropez harbour.

Not to worry, your charter yacht will have a fast and comfortable tender to ferry you ashore and back until the very early hours. Dinner could be taken on the yacht, or in town, at L’Opera perhaps.

After dinner, a visit to one of St Tropez’s incredibly hedonistic nightclubs is in order. Perhaps the VIP Room or Caves du Roy, or why not both!

St Tropez to Antibes

Time to head back east today towards the town of Antibes, the European capital of superyachts. On the way, the yacht will anchor just off the legendary  Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc , a palatial hotel on the Cap d’Antibes peninsula where all the stars stay during the Cannes Film Festival.

This hotel is considered by many to be the most luxurious hotel on the Cote d’Azur. Relax on deck and enjoy some water sports before the yacht heads into Port Vauban in Antibes . Once the yacht has docked, cars will be waiting to take you to the beautiful village of St Paul de Vence and more specifically to the restaurant La Colombe d’Or.

St Paul de Vence is a spectacular 14th century hilltop village and La Colombe d’Or is its’ true star. Eighty years ago, Paul Roux opened a modest restaurant in a 16th century village house.

Many famous artists who spent time in this part of France became regulars at the restaurant, including Chagall, Miro, Matisse, Renoir and Picasso. Often distinctly lacking in the wallet department, they settled their bills with pieces of art. Today, La Colombe d’Or boasts one of the world’s finest collections of 20th century art. In the afternoon, why not visit the spectacular  Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild , one of the most impressive and ornate properties on the French Riviera.

With mind-blowing views over the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the nine amazing gardens that are open to the public are absolutely incredible. Early evening drinks will be enjoyed at the very impressive Grand Hôtel du Cap Ferrat from where you’ll then be driven to the 9th century village of Eze, perched 1,400ft above the Mediterranean sea below. Enjoy a walk through the narrow cobblestone streets before a very special dinner at the majestic Chèvre d’Or, one of the French Riviera’s finest restaurants. Today, it’s off to  Monaco  which is just a short cruise from Cap Ferrat. But the first stop of the day will be the beach at Plage Mala on Cap d’Ail. A truly stunning bay, framed by towering cliffs, Plage Mala is one of the most secluded, lovely beaches anywhere on the Côte d’Azur. This really is a truly beautiful anchorage. Early evening and it’s time to come into port in Monaco. Monaco has two ports, each with its’own very distinct flavour. The Port de Fontvieille is laid back and relatively quiet, which appeals to those looking to relax. But as we are going for the ultimate French Riviera yacht charter experience during this week, there is only one place to be on a charter yacht in Monaco, and that’s the main port, or Port Hercule as it’s known. The Port Hercule is like an amphitheatre, framed to the west by the the old town of Monaco (the rock), to the north by scores of apartment blocks rising up to meet the mountains and to the east by the glitz and glamour of Monte-Carlo.

Everyone knows Monaco’s Port Hercule as it is of course the location of the Monaco Grand Prix, the event for which this small Principality in southern France is best known. Tonight is going to be all about glamour, so what better way to begin than with a glass of champagne on your charter yacht, the brightly coloured lights of Monte-Carlo sparkling all around you. It’s only a short walk or taxi ride up the hill to Casino Square, home to Monaco’s legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo. Monaco is famous for two things above all, the Monaco GP and the Monte-Carlo Casino, and it’s only fitting that your first night in Monaco takes place around this magnificent temple to gambling. As you enter Casino Square, you can’t help but admire the splendour of the architecture. To your right stands the legendary Hotel de Paris, to your left, the Cafe de Paris, and it is here that the evening really kicks off with drinks at this world famous people watching spot.

What is the maximum number of passengers a boat can accommodate?

The majority of boats can accommodate between 10 to 12 people. However, our fleet also includes yachts and catamarans that can accommodate 15, 20, 30, 60, 80, and even up to 200 people for events with a large number of guests.

Are there any restrictions on departure and return times?

Typically, most boat trips start at 10:00 and end at 18:00, but alternative start and end times can be arranged if necessary.

Is fuel included in the boat rental price?

Generally, fuel costs are not included in the basic boat rental price and are paid separately. The cost of fuel depends on the fuel consumption of each specific boat model. Whether fuel costs are included in the rental or paid separately is indicated in the pricing description on each boat’s page.

The  French Riviera  is home to some of the most legendary and exclusive resort towns in the world, including Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Sainte-Maxime, Juan-les-Pins, and Saint-Tropez, just to name a few. This alluring stretch of coastline along the stunning Mediterranean Sea offers breathtaking bays, secluded anchorages, high-end marinas, and pockets of pristine waterway where you can drop anchor and find a quiet beach or bay. The offerings on shore are just as enticing, including some of the best restaurants and beach bars of the 1960s to the newest hot-spot nightclubs and high-end restaurants of today. Cote d’Azur’s reputation for being the playground of the rich and famous is well-deserved, offering the elite traveler a host of glamorous events, an action-packed social scene, beautiful architecture, rich history, and of course, exclusive beaches.

Arrive at the Nice airport and take the short helicopter ride to your  charter yacht in Monaco . Enjoy a welcome-aboard cocktail on deck, and then venture ashore to the legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo, where you can test your luck at one of the most famous gaming venues in the world. Visit the Buddha Bar, where European opulence meets exotic Asian cuisine, or head for Jimmy’z nightclub for the hottest dancing.

Monaco to Cannes

Cruise to Cap d’Antibes, the famous peninsula between Nice and Cannes, and anchor in Port Vauban, the largest marina in the  Mediterranean Sea . Overlooked by an ancient stone castle, this marina harbors some of the world’s most opulent yachts. Make your way to Château Grimaldi to visit the Musée Picasso, and then jaunt over to Cannes, where shopping enthusiasts can stroll the high-end boutiques on the mile-long Promenade de la Croisette.

Cannes to Saint-Tropez

Head to the coastal village of Saint-Tropez and anchor-out for a swim on Pampelonne Beach, a gorgeous stretch of golden sand, indigo water,  and the legendary “home of the bikini.”  Venture into the town of Saint-Tropez and enjoy a meal at Alain Ducasse’s Rivea at Byblos Saint Tropez, and shop the fabulous Place des Lices, a lively bazaar where you can find everything from trendy fashions to vintage antiques.

Saint-Tropez to Île de Porquerolles

Tranquility awaits as you cruise across the Gulf of Hyères to Porquerolles, a peaceful, forested island where cars are prohibited and the land is protected from development by strict environmental laws. Tender ashore to Notre-Dame Beach to enjoy a gourmet picnic prepared by your chef, and then head inland for a bike tour through the lavish forested landscape. Enjoy high-end Provençal cuisine at Le Mas du Langoustier.

Porquerolles to Îles de Lérins

Cruising around this cluster of four quiet islands near Cannes, you’ll enjoy the view of red-roofed villas covering the lush hillsides of Iles de Lérins. Find a scenic spot to anchor at Sainte Marguerite and head shore to visit the fort made famous in The Man in the Iron Mask . Jaunt over to Saint-Honorat and tour an abbey where Cistercian monks produce a fine white wine. With the intoxicating scents of lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary and wild honeysuckle, these tranquil retreats feel worlds away.

Iles de Lérins to Villefranche

Your voyage to Villefranche-sur-Mer offers a postcard-perfect panorama of the pastel-hued buildings that surround this old-world port. Tender ashore and wander through a labyrinth of narrow, cobblestone streets that slope steeply down towards the Mediterranean. A visit to the hilltop village of Eze offers unmatched views of the coastal town and the stunning harbor below. After a day of exploring, indulge in a romantic meal at La Colombe d’Or in Saint Paul de Vence.

Villefranche to Monaco

As you cruise back to Monaco, dream of spending the day at the spa, shopping at boutiques, or taking in tourist attractions at the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium, the Exotic Gardens, or the Prince’s Palace before catching the helicopter to the Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport.

7 day charter itinerary Visiting: Mediterranean, France, Italy, French Riviera, Cote d'Azure, Monaco, Nice, Ville Franche, Cap Ferrat, San Remo, Portofino, Splendido Hotel, Portovenere, Cinque Terra, Portovenere, Palmaria, Blue Grotto, Fort di Marmi, Pisa, Fort di Marmi, Santa Maria, Elba, Versilia, Corsica, Tuscany, and Calvi. DAY ONE Begin you French Riviera (Cote d'Azure) & Italy luxury yacht charter by flying into Nice and transfering to your charter yacht in Monaco . We can arrange an airport transfer or you may wish to enjoy a helicopter flight down the coast. This takes only 7 minutes and costs around EUR 80 per person. It offers wonderful views of the Cote D’Azur and is quick and easy. After boarding, enjoy a welcome drink and settle in before heading of for San Remo. Quiet and quaint San Remo is known for its weekend markets and it traditional Italian flair. DAY TWO Cruising onwards to Portofino – which was once a small historic fishing village; now one of the most famous and picturesque ports on a Mediterranean yacht charter . This charming port is framed by rolling hills covered in olive groves. Take a walk through the boutique portside shops or through the olive groves for a wonderful view of the Cinque Terra coastline. Portofino is a quaint and colorful town. Enjoy a night out at the famous Splendido Hotel Restaurant which offers magnificent views down the coast. DAY THREE Today you will continue along Cinque Terra to the village of Portovenere, just north of La Spezia. Portovenere is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may also like to visit Palmaria one of the three islands located just off the coast of Portovenere. Palmaria is the largest island and has nice beaches. The highlight of the island is the Blue Grotto, accessible only from the sea. DAY FOUR (Possible port for change of guests. Nearby airport is Pisa) Continue south to charming Fort di Marmi which is located along the northern Tuscany coast between the Marinas of Ronci and Pietrasanta, in an area known as Versilia. Forte dei Marmi is known for its clean, sandy beaches. Santa Maria Beach was voted one of the world’s top ten beaches in 2006. DAY FIVE On to Elba and to the gorgeous port of Porto Ferreira. The port is lined with beautiful little seaside restaurants and lots of shopping a boutiques close by. Approximately 10km from the Italian mainland, Elba is one of the greenest and most beautiful islands in The Med. Wide sandy beaches and romantic bays offer excellent windsurfing, swimming and diving. Famous for being Napoleon’s place of exile in 1814, Elba has many monuments and museums dedicated to his memory. You may also want to try some Aleatico or Moscato, Elban wines which are two of Tuscany's best! DAY SIX After breakfast, cross to Corsica and follow the Northern Cape around to St Florent. St Florent is a quaint seaside town set below a backdrop of tall black mountains. This quaint village has a good beach, plenty of local restaurants and a great marina.  Cruising 75NM – 2.5 hours DAY SEVEN Continue sailing onto Calvi, which has been called the Corsican port most like the French Riviera. The centre is sunny, with palm trees and quaint shops. On the south side is a long crescent of sandy beach which offers water sports, swimming, and beautiful views back toward the town and Citadel. Jet-setters have long been attracted to Calvi, among them: the Duchess of Windsor, the honey-mooning Grace and Rainier, Taylor and Burton, Rod Stewart, Valentino, Sylvester Stallone, and Bruce Willis. DAY EIGHT Leisurely awake and prepare to disembark your charter yacht at midday in Calvi.
