• Meeting 15 minutes before departure time at the Real Club Náutico de Palma. Here you will meet the crew and board a comfortable sailboat, which accommodates a maximum of 10 passengers.
• The excursion starts sailing south, along the Bay of Palma: from the sea you will admire the old town of Palma and its majestic Cathedral.

The itinerary of the sailing boat trip in Palma de Mallorca is not fixed, indeed it may change according to the weather and sea conditions. Depending on wind patterns, you may discover one of the following captivating destinations:

• Illetas: situated on the southwest coast, Illetas, also known as “Ses Illetes,” stands as a chic resort renowned for its charm in the Bay of Palma. Relying on the professionalism of our experienced skippers, you will discover the wonders of Syracuse, one of the most important colonies of ancient Magna Graecia! You will have also the possibility to do some nice swim breaks and we will offer you tasty aperitif on board.

Proceed to booking

We suggest you to bring your own swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen lotion. Wind jackets and hats can be needed since it could be windy while sailing.

If you think you can suffer from seasickness we suggest you to take pills and patches before the tour. If you don’t have the equipment required we will provide you with the necessary, please ask for it when you book.

Welcome on board!

Once you meet our professional skipper at 9.15 am (or 2:00 pm if during the afternoon) you will get on board on a sailboat with three double cabins (one will be available during the excursion), a bathroom with shower, an external shower, a kitchen and a refrigerator.

I recommend the ‘long’ snorkeling trip to the coral. We saw sting rays, a turtle and lots of fish. Had a quick play on the SUP then enjoyed lunch. Drinks were flowing after that. The cab was their on time and the driver was safe and courteous. On the return trip they even sent the cab 15 min early keeping traffic in mind. While the initial boarding process was significantly delayed, the experience was quite enjoyable and the staff went out of their way to cater to the passengers. It started a little late from our pick up time from the hotel but once we arrived we had a great time. Our tour guide Fernando was awesome and the tour was informative. The horseback ride was fun and the horses were ready to trot and even canter if you wanted. My only qualm was the saddle wasn’t great and rubbed my inner legs raw. Be sure to bring a bottle of bug sprays unless you enjoy mosquito bites. The jungle was beautiful and we saw lot of butterflies and birds. Once we arrived at the cenotes the tour was awesome. Was really cool to tour them and was so refreshing. After we rode back to camp and ate a hardy authentic Mexican lunch. Bring money for beers. Also you must be patient for the bus back. You spend hours in the car picking up and dropping off other fests from different hotels. At one point, the driver left us in the locked car for 30 minutes without an explanation. Booked it just the day before and almost immediately had contact from the tour company to confirm pick up times and location. Met at central Point in Tulum town as they didn’t go a pick up from our hotel on the beach but this was all very straight forward. Drove up to the location of the boat with a couple of pick ups on route and waited about 30 minutes to board with the other groups going out on seperate boats but was well organised. Once on board the beautiful catamaran it was absolutely luxury, the staff were wonderful, incredibly attentive and also easy going. The lunch was excellent and the open bar from about 2pm was really good, any cocktail or drink you wanted pretty much and the staff made sure you always had a drink in your hand!! •Comfortable Seating : Sturdy Double Settees on either side of the ship’s wheel offer seating on cushions for 2 big people. Or sit in our vintage captains chairs with cloth seats located on the cockpit sole for seats that offer back support.  All seating offers good visibility from the cockpit area where you will be sitting.  Occasionally guests ask to go forward and sit on the hard cabin top. You are welcome to do so if you have good balance, are sure footed, and can hold a hand rail.

•Safety : Sail Selina II is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with all modern safety features (life jackets, VHF etc) tastefully concealed to honor her historic legacy. Foul weather gear is available in the event of unexpected bad weather.

•Max 6 passengers : Children of all ages are welcome aboard the Selina II. We love kids! We have infant, toddler, and youth life jackets to fit all sizes and ages. The U.S. Coast Guard considers all children (regardless of how small they are or what age they are) to be passengers, and as such, you need to count them in, too. For example, mom, dad, and their six-month-old are three guests, not two.

• Cancellation 72 hrs: Full refunds on cancellations up to 1 week before departure. 50% refund up to 72 hrs. No refund within 72 hours.

•Weather: We want to ensure your safety and comfort, hence the captain may decide to cancel due to bad weather, and this decision is made 15 minutes prior to departure. Rest assured there is no charge if the sail gets cancelled. We’re often asked whether we sail in rainy weather. We do sail even if it’s lightly misting, but not in heavy rain as we want you to have the best experience possible. Its no fun sitting on the pouring rain!

•Toilet: Yes, we have a very clean marine head onboard for your convenience; however, it is limited and located down four steps. To ensure your maximum comfort during your journey, we recommend you make use of the shore-side facilities inside the Harbour Inn before embarking.

Set a Course for Sailing in Saint Lucia

BodyHoliday’s Sailing Club & School brings guests an exhilarating new way to experience Saint Lucia. The sailing school fleet comprises “Aurora Rose,” a J-24 racer, “Blue” and “Reef,” our state-of-the-art X-TREME 26 race boats, and several Hobie Cats and Hobie Cat 16s. We are an ASA-certified venue with an extensive range of sailing programmes included in your stay or available at an additional cost.

Take advantage of our courses as part of your comprehensive wellness resort experience and participate in our weekly Saturday sailing regattas. Not only are they fun-filled, but they are also a great way to meet new people while testing your sailing abilities.

Inclusive Resort Sailing

This course is a 60-minute sailing experience designed to introduce you to the different aspects of sailing, including hoisting the main sail, flying the jib, and winching the sails. This is a great way to discover the fun and excitement of sailing a keelboat. (60 minutes) Included

Foundation Sailing Course – This short, practical sailing course progresses through our entire sailing fleet. You will start with a 1-hour lesson on the Hobie Cat (13ft) to master the basics, then move on to a 1-hour lesson on the larger Hobie Wave 16 (16ft) which introduces the use of the jib. BodyHoliday is an American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliated school. We offer a range of courses starting from the basics and going up to more advanced sailing skills. Upon successful completion of your course, you will be presented with an internationally-recognized ASA license.

ASA 101 Course – The ASA 101 course will take you through 12 hours (over 3 days) of on and off-the-water training. Starting on our J-24, you will learn basic sailing terminology, maneuvers, points of sail, and navigation rules. The course also covers safety gear and procedures and how to sail and perform man-overboard drills. Successful completion of the 101 course grants the ability to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat (20 – 25 feet) by day in light winds (15 knots) and sea conditions. Pricing & Availability

ASA 103 Course – This course is the next step after completing your ASA 101, in which you continue to build on your solid foundation of knowledge and practice on and off the water. The ASA 103 delves into coastal cruising skills and abilities. You will have the opportunity to fine-tune your sailing skills and sailboat terminology. Learning also focuses on safety equipment and procedures, navigation and weather, preparing a sail plan, seamanship and emergency skills, and maneuvering a vessel under sail and under power.
