We take pride in our happy customers

Your team delivered on every mark. You’ve got an amazing broker in Mark Wattrus and I’m confident you will have continued success moving forward together. He was available 24/7 whenever I had questions. We had a great initial visit on the boat and his marketing plan and photos were superb

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

Thank you Andrew for putting up with all my questions, all my worries and all my crazy out of the time zone concerns – you were totally professional, but also I know that if and when we meet up, it will be like a friend finally meeting. You are always welcome on Aseka.

— Beverly Cory

Outstanding company with professional subject matter experts. If I were to buy or sell cruising sailboat, particularly a catamaran, Andrew would be my go to broker.

I have been sailing since I was a child and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. But when my wife and I began the process of purchasing an ocean cruising/racing catamaran, I realized that this is a world unto itself. Obviously, we needed to find someone knowledgeable to help us make an informed decision. More importantly, we needed someone honest and willing to put our interests before his or her own. I was lucky to work with Phil Berman at The Multihull Company. He repeatedly shunned the fast buck, choosing instead to work the long road to connect us with the “perfect boat”. I would be glad to recommend Phil and his company to anyone planning to purchase or sell a performance sailing machine.

— Eric Boutiette

Andrew Hodgdon was our broker when we bought our 2018 Lagoon 450F in Antigua in April 2922. He provided great service and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend Andrew and the Multihull Company.

Yacht Purchase Pre-Survey Checklist

The cost of traveling to and from the these yachts as well as the cost for a haulout and survey can add up pretty quickly. It is very disappointing, after spending all the money for travel, surveyor, and haulout just to find out that it was a deal breaker right from the start. We put together a checklist of some questions to ask and things to do before you even think about traveling to see a particular yacht. Once you are satisfied that you have the answers to your questions and are still interested, take a peek at the yacht armed with our Pre-Survey Checklist . Below, we put together an initial inspection checklist to help you do a quick inspection of the boat to determine if it is worth a further look. This checklist is not designed to replace a proper survey, but it will give you a good idea of the general condition of the boat and whether you wish to continue looking into buying the boat. Make lots of notes and take pictures to use for later for analysis and comparison.

Things To Do BEFORE You Look At The Yacht

  • First take a look at the pictures and layout of the yacht. Determine if this layout will work for your application, e.g., “owner’s cabin / suite” vss “charter” layout (maximimum cabins).
  • Go over the specifications and inventory lists. Make sure that the yacht has the equipment that you want on board or can easily be fitted. If not, ask your broker for advice and estimates to add air conditioning, washer, dryer, etc.
  • Check the age of equipment like sails, watermaker, etc. to determine when or if it needs replacing.
  • Get engine and generator hours.
  • Find out the history of the yacht: Charter boat / cruising boat / day sailor / fresh water sailor or ocean/salt water
  • Find out location of the yacht. This can tell you a lot about how much use the boat had, for example, Canada has a much shorter sailing season and is therefore charter yachts from there are less used.
  • Acquire service records for the yacht.
  • Ask your broker for the number of similar yachts for sale as it greatly influences the price of a yacht.
  • Ask your broker for price comparisons of the same or similar yachts sold in the last 6 months to 1 year.
  • Find out about common problems with similar boats or models, e.g., de-lamination was a big problem on the old Wildcats. If you know of common defects on the boat of your choice, make that a major focus of your research and inspection.
  • Seller should provide the H.I.N. number of the yacht. This number can tell you who the builder is, where it was built, and the year it was built.

Pre-Survey Boat Inspection Checklist

Use this checklist to help you vet a boat you are interested in before you invest in an on-deck visit or professional marine survey.

All Catamarans For Sale

Voyage 380 Maxim

S/V OCEAN TRADER is a 2000 Voyage 380 Maxim catamaran, for sale by owner. She is an easy-handling cruising catamaran in a good condition with 3 cabin’s, master cabin has a luxury shower. She is registered (tax paid) in Kenya and has the right documentation.

This model can be called a Voyage 38 or a Maxim 38 because Maxim Yachts, from Durban South Africa, provided Voyage Yachts with the Voyage 38. These performance cruisers were built in South Africa by Maxim and distributed through Voyage Yachts. The Maxim 380 was the winner of the 2005 Cruising World Best New Catamaran under 40 Ft . The 380 got the judges’ attention with its four-burner stove, and added headroom in the galley.

There are 6 solar panels with a total of 1100 wats on top of the afterdeck. They give the perfect shade and are very functional. There is no noisy generator on board. Ray marine equipment includes a good autopilot and radar.

Outremer 50 Standard

S/V Cheval is a 1995 Outremer 50 Standard catamaran, for sale by owner. We purchased Cheval in January 2013. As the second owners we have continuously upgraded her including her most recent upgrade late 2023 through 2024 in preparation for a pacific passage. A change of plans creates a rare opportunity to acquire this Outremer 50 standard ready to cross an ocean.

As of this writing to the best of my knowledge she is the only Outremer 50 standard currently for sale in the world. Sometimes referred to as the Porsche of catamarans this boat has the speed you would expect while being large enough to provide comfortable accommodations.

As she is only cored in the decks with solid hulls the common occurrence of water found in the cored hull at survey will not be a problem.

Knysna 440

SV Quazami is a recently surveyed 2004 Knysna 440 Catamaran in sail away condition, equipped for the cruising lifestyle and ready for blue water crossing, for sale by owner. She was extensively upgraded in 2021 and then sailed from South Africa to Brazil and then onto the Caribbean in 2022 by the current owner and his family of 5, who comfortably live aboard.

With 1190w of solar, Quazami is energy self-sufficient and can be taken to remote locations, without the need to ever go into marinas. She can comfortably sleep up to 7 people. Quazami has only ever had two owners and has never been in charter.  Currently in the Dominican Republic, and soon to be sailed to the British Virgin Islands and then onto St Martin. Recent survey available on request.

Designed by renowned naval architect Angelo Lavranos, one of the pioneers of the light construction technique for racing yachts, the Knysna 440 is an improved version of the legendary St Francis 44. She has been built to a high standard by the Knysna Yachting Company, who prides itself on its reputation within the industry for producing high quality, fast yachts that are able to safely and comfortably cross oceans.

Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35

S/V Bonaventure 1 a Florida based 1994 Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35 catamaran for sale by owner.

It is a 3 cabin and 1 head. The saloon is bright with a 360 panoramic view. The galley, navigation table and dining table are all located in the spacious saloon. The Tobago 35 is light and well canvassed. With 20 knots of wind on the beam the polars promise 9 knots of boat speed particularly with it JProp folding propellers, it make this model and exciting machine to sail. Despite his age it remain a solid choice for those seeking adventure on the water.

The Tobago 35 is a compact catamaran that offers a good opportunity with a smaller budget. Naturally seaworthy, the Tobago 35 is an innovative-looking sailing vessel.

Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40

S/V Dare Greatly is a 2020 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 catamaran, for sale by value broker YachtX.

This yacht is the 4 stateroom/2 head layout and has been maintained to the highest levels. US flagged & documented (duty not paid), she is a blue water cruiser that presents as new from top to bottom with just 800 hours on her engines.

Priced $250K below a new one and without the 1.5 year wait, she is as close to a new, off-grid equipped boat as you’ll find with bottom paint Oct 2023, 7.5KW generator AND 850W solar with 400AH lithium ion batteries, A/C climate control, water maker, SCUBA compressor and numerous other cruising features.

Endeavour 44 TrawlerCat

M/Y The Big Yay is a 2006, Endeavour 44 TrawlerCat catamaran, for sale by owner.

The Big Yay offers a 3-stateroom, 2-head layout, master stateroom with queen/king-size bunk on the main deck, 6’6” headroom in the pilothouse and salon, walkaround top deck, easy stern boarding, new canvas enclosing the pilothouse. The twin Yanmar 240 HP main diesel engines with 2,000-hour detailed service recently completed, and new Raymarine Axiom self-steered navigation electronics with remote-control autopilot. Her Endeavour dinghy has a new Mercury 10hp electric-start outboard motor.

Docked in Halifax Harbor Marina, Daytona Beach, Florida, with the slip transferable to the new owner. With the Big Yay’s 14’8″ height and 3’ draft, she is a popular Great Loop cruiser as well as a great Bahamas boat!

Endeavour 44 TrawlerCat

M/Y Fat Cat is a 2002 Endeavour Catamaran 44 Trawler Cat catamaran, for sale by owner. I love this boat as its main characteristics are she has prop pockets and 3ft draw. This is very good for cruising Florida and Bahamas, also with a narrow beam as catamarans come. We can usually find regular berths and not pay for a double.

She has fuel flow scan meters, and it is a joy to see the economy of the Yanmars. I never owned such an efficient boat with this square footage, and 1500 mile range at 8-10 knots. All work has been done in last two years, as I just purchased the boat in the Fall of 2020. Previous owner was a snow bird and rarely was down.

We are coming back home to get a bigger boat. Fat Cat has been great to us but we need more space as the kids have decided to cruise the eastern Caribbean with us. The western Caribbean has been great, its like a condo. You can move around the marinas and are very affordable. Easy to see in the water, ready to run.

Catalac 9m

S/V Déjà Vu is a 1972 Catalac 9M catamaran, for sale by owner. A hybrid with sail/solar propulsion, its main advantages are: sustainability, silence, no fumes/engine troubles, little energy costs, easy maintaining.

After more than 30 years of experience in designing and building solar powered boats, I ventured into the combination of sail and solar propulsion for a sea/inland waterways cruising boat using only renewable energies. It should be added that I use the boat as a means of travelling! – Europe is so much richer for cruising not using only the different seas but also rivers and canals.

So I replaced the diesel engines in a well-maintained Catalac 9m built in 1972 by 2 electric motors. These have the advantage that they require hardly any maintenance and are also highly efficient in the partial load range.

Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 Evolution

S/V ASPE is a 2016 Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 Evolution catamaran, for sale by owner. ASPE is hull number #140, an Evolution model launched in 2016. She comes with with 4 cabins and 4 heads. The Helia is a well proven catamaran with several circumnavigations. This is the later Evolution model with higher and better davits and newer windows (30% more light).

Our family has sailed the boat since March 2022. Fully equipped for comfortable and safe bluewater cruising. This boat has been upgraded by the owner and comes with an impressive inventory list. Haul out with antifoul, hull polish, engine and sail drives service just done (Sep 2023).

This boat is ready for takeover in French Polynesia from April 2024 with some flexibility. ASPE is a very well maintained and sought-after vessel that is ready to take a new owner on her next adventure. Start your sailing dream in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Gemini 105MC

S/V Gem is a 2006 Gemini 105MC catamaran, for sale by owner. This is a one of a kind Gemini 105mc, perfectly rigged for single/short hand sailing with furling screecher sail (self tacking), furling genoa, AND furling inmast mainsail! Sparcraft mast, boom and standing rigging installed in 2015, along with a new Yanmar 30hp inboard engine with low running hours (+-1400h).

All systems have been maintained meticulously, and ongoing cosmetic maintenance is currently being carried out (interior teak, gelcoat polishing etc). We have not spared any expense since we’ve owned her. We had a survey carried out last year and no serious issues were found. Small finding have been sorted out since the survey (small sail repair, new genoa line, service of liferaft and fire fighting equipment). All up to date!

Included in the sale is a berth at the beautiful Preveza Marina, Greece. It is valid from date of listing until July 2024. Preveza is a wonderful town at the door of the Ionian Islands. Great staff and amazing facilities. A huge benefit to any prospective buyer who wishes to sail Western Greece and further into the Med! This is providing the marina is in agreement at the time of sale, but there should be no issue.

Bali 4.1

S/V Sabatica is a 2019 Bali 4.1 catamaran, for sale by owner. Never chartered. Second owners. Low engine hours. Major upgrades in 2023 for performance, comfort and security on the hook: Watermaker, Washing Machine, Ultra Anchor, 600 Ah Lithium House Batteries, Stainless Steel Solar Platform for a total of 1610W production, Solenoid switch propane control from the galley, Bow Sprit and Screecher, window screens, full cushions and foredeck sun shade. Hauled out and bottom painted in 2023. Engines and sail drives serviced in 2023.

We chose the Bali 4.1 model in general, and this 4 cabin/2 bathroom layout in particular, because we felt it offered the best comfort and living space in a vessel of this size while remaining a lively and seaworthy vessel.

Currently docked in Licata, Sicily. Could be available as soon as August in Western Italy or September in the Balearics. Thereafter moored in Southern Spain. Other locations are possible subject to negotiation. Sabatica would be sold ready to go with tools and cruising gear.

Leopard 46

S/V Paw Paw is a 2011 Leopard 46 catamaran, for sale by owner. Whilst this yacht has been immaculately maintained, it also features numerous upgrades and enhancements undertaken over the years, including new standing rigging in May of 2023.

Lagoon 450S

S/V Mystic is a US-flagged, 2018 Lagoon 450S Owner Edition catamaran, for sale by owner.

The original owners are accomplished offshore sailors with 22 years of experience who have been cruising S/V Mystic through the Virgin Islands, New England, Florida, and the Bahamas since she was built. Mystic is currently in St. Maarten and ready for more adventures. Owners’ children are grown and busy, and business responsibilities make it difficult for them to spend as much time on the boat as they would like. This is their second lagoon catamaran, the first being a Lagoon 410, and they continue to love the brand.

Mystic has been the perfect platform for us to make lasting memories with friends and family and we believe it is the best 45′ cruising catamaran ever made. We have traveled many thousands of miles in safety and comfort. Our only regret is that we didn’t order a Code Zero and Spinnaker when we bought the boat for more sail combinations in both protected and offshore conditions. The boat needs only the new owners’ personal gear and provisions and she is offshore-ready.

Lagoon 37 TPI

S/V Jus Dreaming is a 1995 Lagoon 37 TPI Jeanneau Catamaran, Ready to cross the Atlantic. This boat is set up for a Full-time live Aboard couple with over $100,000.00 in upgrades. This is Not a project boat, it has all been done for you. This boat has crossed the Atlantic twice and is rigged and ready to cross again. I guarantee it will pass any survey.

American made, By Jeanneau in a joint production venture with TPI in Warren, Rhode Island, USA.  Known to be one of the strongest catamarans ever built. (They Just don’t build them like this anymore)

Built by French Jeanneau in a joint production venture with TPI in Warren, Rhode Island, USA to the highest standards of construction and finish; the Lagoon 37 has good sailing ability and excellent interior and exterior living space. Designers of the Lagoon 42, Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prevost reproduced the winning formula in a smaller boat.

Leopard 46

S/V New World is a 2009 Leopard 46 catamaran, for sale by owner.

Launched in 2009, New World has been consistently lived on full time by a family of 4 since early 2020. She has sailed between the Chesapeake Bay on USA east coast and Grenada in the southern Caribbean while visiting all the islands in between. She has been updated and maintained to safely transport her family while having all the comforts including 2600 watts of solar with 1200 ah of lithium, Starlink, watermaker, washing machine, feathering props, downwind sail, and plenty of spare parts (including spare saildrive).

New World is a 4 cabin/4 head version. She has a double full enclosure to have a screen and/or clear isinglass. Dometic freezer, all Victron electrical system including 3000 watt Multiplus inverter, Cerbo with touchscreen, and even water tank sensors are just some of the upgrades that allow you to monitor your boat systems from the touch of your phone or computer. So much storage with all beds having external facing under-bed storage as well as under-bed deep storage areas.

Royal Cape 45

S/V Ego Domi is a 2003 Royal Cape 45 catamaran, for sale by owner. A fantastic family boat, Ego Domi is a bluewater cruising catamaran built in 2003 at Durban, South Africa. She was sailed across the Atlantic to Florida in 2003 by the original owner and never entered into the charter trade.

This is a large, well-appointed catamaran. Royal Cape catamarans are a very good value, are built with solid construction and are well-tried cruising boats. They are built very tough, as they were designed to handle conditions off the African East coast. This boat is great in rough seas with virtually no bridge deck slap due to the buoyancy of the hulls. Being well built, one shouldn’t expect a racing catamaran, but then again, if you’re looking for a catamaran with a large interior volume, which will keep 8 or so guests in consummate comfort, you could make worst choices than this RCC.

Originally built with fiberglass over a wood core as a 5 cabin and 5 head charter boat, she was converted to 4 cabins and 4 heads in 2005 by the previous owners. The 5th cabin was converted into a tool / spare parts/storage room while the 5th head was converted into a battery storage room. During conversion, it was noted that the laminated bulkheads were 2” thick; main bulkhead is 3” in places.

Lagoon 42

S/V Sonder is a 2019 Lagoon 42 catamaran, owner’s version (3 cabins), offered by her original owners, a husband and wife team, who outfitted Sonder for a live aboard sabbatical with extended, remote, blue water cruising in mind. No pets, no smokers, and never chartered, and with meticulous investments in professional maintenance and care, Sonder looks almost new in many respects.

Sonder is the perfect vessel to cruise distant shores and relax in comfort at anchor.  She has the combination of fun sailing and condo like living that makes adventuring abroad very comfortable for any couple. A VPLP design, Lagoon 42s perform very well compared to other similarly sized vessels.  With her square top main and Code 0 equipped, in reasonable winds and seas, Sonder often maintains 8-10 knots of speed while sailing, even while loaded down with cruising gear.

In a remote anchorage, Sonder’s oversized Rocna anchor, sun shades, large solar capacity and lithium battery bank, oversized and efficient generator with ample fuel capacity, all come into play to ensure comfort and safety for prolonged periods, in good or bad weather conditions. With the sail package, and the numerous amenities and equipment that are offered on Sonder, she is a rare, turn-key find, ready to sail remotely in the tropics worldwide, with both comfort and performance.

Lagoon 450F

S/V Freedom is 45 foot Lagoon 450F Owner version Catamaran built in 2013. This cat features a “Fly Bridge” and is ready for you to step aboard and set sail.

With the galley up design just off the cockpit in the salon keeps everyone included in the fun. The galley is fully equipped and the salon is loaded with a Samsung TV, Bosh washing machine and Raymarine I70 displays.

The 3 staterooms are all equipped with queen sized berths with hanging lockers and ample storage throughout with custom shelving added to the owner’s suite. Staterooms each have a private head with full height shower. She is a great live aboard. Fully self-sufficient with water maker, generator, solar.

Endeavour Trawlercat 44

M/Y Cattitude is my 2005 Endeavour 44 Trawlercat catamaran, for sale by owner. She is in impressive condition and turn key ready to cruise. Many recent upgrades, full garmin dual mfd setup. Well maintained, frequently upgraded.

She has the 3 cabin layout with a full beam master stateroom and full size queen bed. Cruise in comfort with a stable platform and plenty of interior space. Shallow draft (<3ft) and protected running gear are perfect for US coastal waters and the Bahamas. Get excellent fuel economy at 6kts with the flexibility of cruising at 16kts when needed.

New bottom paint 2023, recent survey with haul out including oil samples. This boat is beautiful inside and out. You will not be disappointed.

Endeavour 44 SailCat

S/V Beguiler is a 2001 Endeavour 44 SailCat catamaran, for sale by owner. Check out our rare 44 ft Endeavour sailing catamaran, manufactured in Clearwater, Florida. Endeavour’s quality craftsmanship has stood the test of time.

She looks amazing and was built for extended cruising and not the charter market, as is evident in its abundance of storage. We have owned Beguiler for 10 years, and used her for cruising the Bahamas every winter. Her previous 13 years were spent in the summers on Lake Ontario. Both owners are engineers, and coast guard auxiliary members and thus, she has lots of redundancy, and spares, and safety gear ,and a detailed log book. Yearly, she has been waxed, and her sails inspected.

This vessel has incredible head room and spaciousness with unparalleled views from the helm seat. The helmsman and crew all have plenty of space in the cockpit with its massive hardtop bimini and full enclosure for inclement weather. If you’re into easy sailing, then this is the catamaran for you, as all lines lead to the helm with a self tacking jib. Power winches make raising the sails a one person job and power davits make raising the dinghy easy. Fuel efficiency when motor sailing is extremely low at 0.5 gal per hr at 6 knots.

Lagoon 450 F

Corsair F28R

S/V First Tri is a 1998 Corsair F28R trimaran, for sale by owner.

First Tri comes with a trailer, Honda 9.9 HP engine, two mains: 1 mylar and 1 dacron, three jibs: 1 mylar and 2 dacron, spinnaker, and furling screecher. The interior has a propane stove and sink. Plumbed for a marine head, but I removed it and installed a porta-potty.

With the exception of a couple of trips to Destin Florida, she has been sailed exclusively in fresh water lakes.

The design has a low center of gravity and little windage, with weight concentrated low and amidships. The galley-down design allows a huge wrap-around navigation station as well as large settee and extensive storage space in the main salon.

I’m in WA state and would fly down to put the boat in the water and do the sea trial with a buyer under contract. This is a great opportunity to get a cruise ready cat in a great location!

The boat is fully loaded for extended cruising including electronics, windlass, AIS, water maker, built in refrigerator and a new Dometic stand alone fridge/freezer, three anchors, full canvas cover for the cockpit, 1480 watts solar panels with two controllers, battery charger, Highfield RIB dinghy with outboard, fishing gear, two inflatable SUPs, lots of tools including sewing machine and spares.

The twin diesels are the original Volvo 2020MDs with saildrives. The engines run strong and have 3000+ hours each. Sails are in good shape with main with three reef points, roller furling ~130% jib, and a parasailor for down wind.

Crowther-Alwoplast 47

S/V Krabby Patty is a 2002 Crowther designed 47′ Catamaran, built by Alwoplast, for sale by owner. Alwoplast has built many of the Chris White Atlantic catamarans. The boat is very well and strongly built with vacuum bagged Divinycell foam core and Vinylester Resin used throughout. All bulkheads are glassed and vacuum bagged, with unidirectional fiberglass. Her twin daggerboards provide excellent sailing performance and shallow draft when necessary. List of items updated in the last 18 months below.

She has very bright and open salon, with large windows a comfortable settee, and galley up. The port owners hull, has a head aft with separate stall shower, next forward is a powder room, forward of that is a queen size berth, with a large closet all the way forward. The Starboard hull has a queen berths forward and aft, with a head and separate stall shower between the stateroom.

We lived aboard and sailed throughout the Bahamas for an amazing nine months last year. She could benefit from a little TLC but this an excellent opportunity to own a truly well constructed and great sailing catamaran for a very reasonable price. Well located to start your adventure in the Exumas.
