From a distance, the Andaman 50 could be confused with a Lagoon 50 with her vertical saloon windows and her aft-set mast on the coachroof... but apart from this vague resemblance, the Andaman 50 stands out completely from most of her competitors. Much lighter, livelier and above all, cheaper, this new model is clearly moving the goalposts. And that’s no bad thing!

A new light and powerful multihull has just been launched at the Catathai shipyard. This original and local yard was founded by Frenchman Hervé Le Touzé in 2004, and taken over by Gilles Reigner two years ago. Originally based in Phuket, Catathai has recently relocated further north, in the Prachuap region, not far from Koh Samui. Gilles has designed a totally new range, with elegant catamarans, ready to cruise and built to last. This range is currently based on three models - the Tropical 36, the Andaman 42 and the 50, so this is the largest of the three multihulls we’re presenting here. These catamarans are a real modernization of the old Catathais, which have proven themselves on all the oceans of the world. The builder remains a small shipyard: far from the constraints of large production, they’re offering, on the contrary, custommade catamarans that can be modified to suit the owner’s specifications.

Un peu plus et plus toilé, le 52 est également servi par un design plus moderne. Mais ce qu’on retiendra surtout, c’est le nouveau mode propulsif associant moteurs électriques, 18m 2 de panneaux solaires et générateur alimenté par du méthanol. La construction retient pour partie des matériaux éco compatibles comme la fibre de basalte et la mousse PET. Luxury day trip to Phi Phi & Khai Islands by Speedboat with Andaman Surprise takes about 7.5 hours (10 am – 5.30 pm).

7 – 8 AM             Pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the luxurious “Royal Phuket Marina”.

8.40 AM              Warm welcome by Andaman Surprise team and enjoy complimentary light breakfast and variety of drinks at the lounge.

Introduction of tour program and safety instruction by licensed tour guides.

10 AM                  Departure to Phi Phi Islands

Snorkeling           Arrive at Phi Phi Islands. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling in crystal clear water and tropical fish.

Head to Maya Bay, the most famous beach where “The Beach” movie was filmed.

Visit Pileh Lagoon that surrounded by towering limestone where you can swimming, jumping in turquoise lagoon cliffs and caves. Then travel to the Viking cave sightseeing on the boat to see historical ancient cave paintings.

Lunch                   Time for delicious lunch at the beachfront restaurant in Phi Phi Don island. Then relaxing on the sandy beach or sightseeing around the Island.

Head to Monkey beach

Arrive at Khai Island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling with corals and colorful fishes or relaxing on the white sandy beach.

5.30 PM              Arrive at the “Andaman Surprise” Lounge and transfer back to your hotel.

Important information

• If you select “No Land Transfer” option, please go to Royal Phuket Marina at least 30 minutes before the departure time.
• If you select “Need Land Transfer from zone A or B”, please inform us your hotel name, room number, location and its phone number on the booking page. We will inform you the pick-up time via your booking confirmation email.
• Trips are not recommended For Senior 60 years Of Age, Customer who have high blood pressure, heart disease, pregnant women, children Under 1 Year of age and people suffering from any medical or physical disability.
• The company will not be held responsible for any changes made to the program due to the weather, sea condition that may modify the program. Change are made for safety and comfort of all the guests.
• Maya bay & Loh Samah bay are closed from August 1st to September 30th every year.
• Children age between 4-11 years old are charged in children rate.
• Free of charge for infants (less than 3 years old). Please inform the number of accompanying infants and their age.
• Cancellation and changes are not possible after the tickets have been issued.
