VANISH Yacht – Innovative $90 Million Superyacht
VANISH yacht is a luxurious superyacht with an elegant design built by Feadship in the Netherlands at their Kaag shipyard and delivered to her owner in 2021.
Both her exterior and interior designs were penned by British designer Harrison Eidsgaard and her naval architecture was designed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architect.
VANISH is in the top 5% by LOA and one of 105 motor yachts in the 70-80m size range. She is currently sailing under the Cayman Islands flag, which is considered the 2nd most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 1249 yachts registered under its flagship.
VANISH yacht interior
The VANISH yacht is the perfect luxury yacht for up to 12 guests and 20 staff.
She cruises with six staterooms on board, including one master suite, a VIP cabin that can be divided into two suites, and four additional guest cabins.
She has a three-deck-high atrium, rising from the main deck to the sundeck and a beach club with a permanent view from the transom.
Her features also include a sauna, beauty salon, and underwater lights as well as an elevator for easier accessibility.
Built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship, the VANISH yacht features a free-standing staircase flanked by a glass wall over three decks, a clever design of an extendable balcony in her owner’s stateroom, and a highly innovative transom shape.
According to the designer, the main theme of this boat is to feel at home and relax. She has a very sharp hull to create detail in an otherwise white boat, and her red boot stripe and the junction lines stretch out for 40-60 meters of her length.
The extra horizontal influence also makes the stainless steel railings stand out against their surroundings.
Specifications
The VANISH yacht has a 5200 nautical mile range, enough to take guests on their dream vacation.
She’s built with steel hulls, aluminum superstructure, a 12.5-meter beam, and teak decks – which means she’ll be able to withstand any weather condition!
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M63L) 2900hp engines each running at 1800rpm, she can reach up to 18 knots maximum but she comfortably cruises at a speed of 12 knots.
She also has at-anchor stabilizers that provide exceptional comfort levels for guests.
Her water tanks store around 41,000 Litres of fresh water and she’s been built to Lloyds Register classification society rules.
Compared to other yachts of the same length, she has a volume that’s 50.44 GT higher than average for her class.
Her price tag is $120 million and the annual running cost comes out to around $10-12 million per year.

Feadship Launch Superyacht VANISH

By Oliver Pearson 25 January 2016
Last week saw the launch party for the 66m/217ft motor yacht VANISH from the esteemed Feadship . Releasing a series of photographs which showcase her exterior and hint towards her interior, there’s every reason to be seriously excited.
Not wanting to give everything away in their recent set of photos, the team behind luxury yacht VANISH chose to reveal only her textures and subtle finishes.
Their first release of the year, the yacht sees Feadship working once again with the naval architect De Voogt , a team which developed the award winning 86m/282ft charter yacht ECSTASEA .
Including a free-standing staircase flanked by a glass wall extending over three decks, and an owner’s stateroom complete with an extendable balcony, VANISH looks to be every inch the modern yacht.
Experts in yachts of this size, it’s clear that Feadship have brought all of their experience to bear on their most recent project.
Decorated with teak wood and painted in classic arctic white, there’s no doubt that VANISH will be an immediately recognisable vessel.
Although not believed to be for charter, there are other similarly sized yachts from the reputable builder which are currently available for vacations. For instance, the 61m/200ft motor yacht MAJESTIC and the 62m/204ft luxury yacht VIRGINIAN are both part of the charter fleet.
With so much to be excited about, we will be keeping a very close eye on the latest news surrounding VANISH

Fire Destroys Sunseeker 66 on Harbour Island, Bahamas
A fire at a dock at Valentines Resort and Marina in Harbour Island, Bahamas, completely destroyed a 66-foot Sunseeker. The five people on board all escaped without injuries.
Harbour Island police say they received a call at 12:35 on Saturday afternoon saying that a boat was on fire at the marina. When they responded, the boat was fully engulfed in flames. A captain from another yacht told The Triton , “I was walking by and the galley window blew out. Smoke and flames followed. I helped the captain with the tender,” which was saved.
After the five people on board were off the yacht, volunteers pulled it away from the fuel dock. It sank a few hours later. Reports said about 100 feet of dock were destroyed. Water and electric service at the marina were interrupted. The marina will not have fuel available until it makes some repairs. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
The yacht, named Vanish , was owned by Alejandro Capo of Miami. He, his family and a captain arrived at Valentines shortly after the Bahamas reopened to recreational boating on June 18.
Valentines, in Dunmore Town, is the largest marina in Harbour Island. It has 51 slips and can hold yachts up to 180 feet. Over the years, I’ve been there several times, and always looked forward to going back. Read more:

U.S. Couple Vanish from Yacht in the Caribbean: ‘It Looked Like a Robbery, or Something Much Worse’
Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry are presumed dead. The three fugitives believed to be connected to their case have been arrested but are not formally charged
A catamaran captain was paddle-boarding along the St. Vincent shore when he came across a ransacked yacht with a broken, unrolled sail last month.
“It was not a very typical place to drop anchor,” Bernat Buj tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview in the latest issue, on newsstands Friday. “And that caught my attention.”
Concerned, he boarded Simplicity , calling out three times in the hope of finding someone on board.
There was “a great mess throughout the ship, and I thought it was the scene of a robbery,” Buj says. “But when I entered a cabin and saw blood, I thought it could be something much worse .”

He found two American passports belonging to Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry .
Kathy – a retired real estate agent who would have turned 71 on Feb. 21 – and Ralph – a 66-year-old financial advisor who worked from their yacht – had been cruising in Grenada when they suddenly stopped communicating with family on Feb. 18, according to their sons, who stayed in touch with PEOPLE throughout the search for their parents .

After finding the couple’s abandoned yacht – 80 miles from their last reported mooring – in Wallilabou Bay, St. Vincent, the captain reported the "unoccupied sailing vessel" to the local Coast Guard Service Feb. 21.
“The entire interior of the vessel and its decks were ransacked,” the Coast Guard’s commanding officer wrote in an internal memorandum – obtained by PEOPLE – to the country's police commissioner.

Missing from the internal correspondence was the working theory between police forces in Grenada and St. Vincent that three Grenadian inmates who had escaped their holding cell the same day the couple went missing, had allegedly hijacked their yacht and thrown them overboard en route to St. Vincent.
The three fugitives – sailor Ron Mitchell, 30, Abita Stanislaus, 25, and Trevon Robertson, 19 – who had been arrested for a violent robbery in December, were re-apprehended on St. Vincent on Feb. 21.

Video of one arrest, published by local media, includes shouts of “Gun! Gun! Gun!” and an escapee in his underwear, blood streaming down his legs as an official rounds him into the back of a pick-up truck.
An insider close to the investigation alleges to PEOPLE that at least two of the men have confessed to Ralph’s and Kathy’s murders.

The men, who were deported to Grenada on March 4, have not been officially charged in the case. Although the couple’s bodies have not been found, they are presumed dead.
Buj says he is still holding out hope. “I wish this story could have a happy ending,” he says.
