The IYT Small Powerboat and RIB Master course is designed for beginners or to refresh the basics of seamanship for experienced boat owners and captains.

If you want to work in the marine industry as crew, this licence is essential.

The IYT SPB course is a recognised course by the MCA of Great Britain and Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA).

You are eligible to receive the Dubai Marine driving license 12 meter .

You can apply for the MCA ICC <10 meter required in many European countries.

Course Itinerary 

To receive your IYT Small Powerboat and RIB Master qualification, you will need to complete:

One day (8 – 9 hours) intensive theory course, covering elements of safety, rules, buoys, knots and more.

One day (5 – 7 hours) practical. The practical training is conducted on our GC Marine 31 ZAHRA or Silvercraft 38 GAVIOTA training yachts.

Theory exam (1 hour) / optional second FMA exam and FMA Small Boat Driving License 12m course completion certificate

You will learn essential techniques such as berthing, practical rope work, manoeuvring, steering by compass, MOB and more.

Xclusive Sea School Dubai

Xclusive Sea School is one of the widely-recognised sailing schools in Dubai Marina that uses state-of-the-art methods to help learners acquire relevant skills. It offers basic and advanced boating courses. A moderate-level course, such as Power Boat Level 2, costs AED 2,500. Powerboat courses include a logbook, an XSS training book and a certificate. A three-hour, one-on-one training package costs AED 1,200.

In this Coastal Safety Marine Knowledge online learning course we cover the subjects that give you the “Coastal Safety Marine Knowledge”  that you need to go to sea and come home safely.
