Pursuit cup goes to Marjory in first special event of sailing calendar

pentland firth yacht club

Sunday saw the first special event of Pentland Firth Yacht Club's sailing calendar for 2022, taking the form of a pursuit race.

In the normal races run by the club, all boats start off together and their times to complete the course are recorded – this allows the eventual race winner to be calculated by allowing for the different boats sailed by a handicap system.

In the pursuit race, the slower boat starts off first, followed by the progressively faster ones, the starting intervals being calculated so that all boats should finish together at the end of the predetermined race time.

A race time of 25 minutes was selected and start times varied by up to six minutes. A total of three such races were run, meaning that all was not lost if a sailor had a bad race early on.

Dave Lord and Kyle Oag were in the club rescue boat and set a course in the gentle south-easterly breeze under a cloudy sky.

For the first race there were four boats. The slowest and first to start was the Mirror with Donald McKenzie and Thomas McAlonan on board. Second was the Topper of Ian Grant, third the Laser 4.7 of Marjory Lord and finally the Laser of Martin Lord.

For the first half of the race the order remained the same but the gaps between the boats steadily decreased. The second half saw Ian Grant briefly take the lead before being overhauled by the Lasers, with Marjory eventually taking the lead by the time the race ended.

All the boats in the pursuit race held on Sunday by Pentland Firth Yacht Club.

For the second race the four sailors were joined by Ian and Lily Carlisle in their Bosun. The wind dropped during the race and the Carlisle pairing showed their skills in the fickle conditions to come up with a win with Martin Lord second, Marjory Lord third, Donald and Thomas fourth and Ian Grant bringing up the rear.

This meant the overall result would depend on the third and final race. The wind picked up for this and Marjory Lord quickly made her way past the boats starting before her and led to the finish.

Martin was again second with Ian Grant third, the Carlisle pairing fourth and this time Donald and Thomas having to settle for last place. This meant it was Marjory who won the day and the Phimster Pursuit Cup.

The club is always looking for new members. Anyone with an interest in sailing, or who would like to become involved, should email [email protected]

The Northern Waters of Caithness and North Sutherland are probably the last unspoilt yacht sailing destination around the UK coastline.

Wick Marina is strategically placed for coastal or international passages, and provides safe berthing, toilets and showers, and all the usual town and harbour facilities and services.  Thurso Bay offers a large deep water sheltered sailing area with few restrictions.

The Club was founded in October 1953 and is located in the south east corner of Scrabster Harbour . The aim of the Club is to encourage sailing and seamanship, to foster racing and the social sides of sailing. This is achieved by an active racing program, a well attended sail training programme and excellent socials. See their website to get involved.

Sail North Scotland is an association of marinas in the North of Scotland, including Orkney and Shetland Isles, who are working closely to promote sailing in the Northern waters.

These Northern Waters are probably the last unspoilt sailing destination around the UK coastline. Even the glorious West Coast of Scotland will seem crowded compared to the unspoilt beauty around the Moray Firth, Caithness, Orkney and Shetland.

Wick lies in a strategic position on the northeast tip of the mainland and is ideally situated for passage to or from the Northern Isles and the West coast.  The 80 berth marina, is only a 5-minute stroll from the town centre with plenty of shopping and leisure opportunities and renowned Caithness hospitality. 8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In

Yacht Clubs and Marinas

FoodfindsAsia.com | 8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In | Filipinos’ history as a maritime people date back to prehistoric times. In fact, the Philippines’ basic sociopolitical unit today, the barangay, traces its etymological origins to the balangay , the ancient outrigger boats that were used by precolonial Filipino communities to explore and conquer islands this side of the Pacific. As a people belonging to a seafaring culture, it’s no wonder that modern Filipinos are taking a retrospective look at their glorious past as Austronesian mariners and are developing a renewed love for the ocean and marinas as present-day yachtsmen.

Today, Philippine marinas look to accommodate more and more yachts and other pleasure watercrafts as the years go by. In 2017, an ASEAN Briefing op-ed piece named the Philippines as a country with high potential in yacht industry growth. The natural beauty of the Philippine islands and its fantastic bays, combined with a growing interest in leisurely sea travel, can explain the spike in yachting activities throughout the country.

Are you part of the demographic that’s become enamored of the yachting lifestyle? Do you want to know where in the country you can berth your watercraft? Leading sailboat and motorboat authority Europa Yachts is happy to enter the conversation, and recommends the following locations for discovering the Philippines through yachting. Here is a short list of clubs and marinas in the country, organized by island region.

Manila Yacht Club and Marina, Manila, Metro Manila

Established in 1927, the Manila Yacht Club and Marina is one of the oldest yacht clubs in all of Asia, and is nestled in the scenic Manila Bay. It is also near other well-known landmarks in the city, such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the headquarters of the Philippine Navy, and the US Embassy. Facilities in the marina include a launching ramp and a fueling center, and the club itself is host to a restaurant and gorgeous function rooms. The Manila Yacht Club only welcomes visitors who arrive by boat, and it charges an initial security deposit of USD 750 upon arrival. Club membership is mandatory for medium and long-term mooring of boats.

Subic Bay Yacht Club, Zambales

The Subic Bay Yacht Club, which was founded in 1998, upholds itself as the country’s premier yacht club. It operates in the deepest bay in the country, and can host vessels well beyond 50 meters in length. Already benefitting from the innate beauty of the Zambales mountains surrounding it, the club hosts a number of other attractions, including its luxury accommodations, swimming pools, and its own movie theater, bowling alley, and nightclub. Those who venture outside of the club’s premises can also shop for well-priced imported goods at the Subic Freeport Zone, engage in water sports , or sign up for diving excursions.

Punta Fuego Yacht Club, Batangas

Peaceful Punta Fuego is a mecca for those who love the sport of sailing. As per its official website, the Punta Fuego Yacht Club aims to serve “a dynamic and vibrant community of boat enthusiasts and yacht owners.” This it does by playing host to a diverse population of watercrafts, from large catamarans and mono-hull yachts to small boats. Non-members of the club may use the berths for up to 3 weeks, and can refuel at the marina’s fueling station. The yacht club offers other amenities such as locker rooms, shower rooms, Internet facilities, a chart room, and a restaurant called Barracuda Bar, which serves delicious fares. Outside of the yachting crowd, Punta Fuego Yacht Club also caters to those wishing to celebrate weddings, conferences, and corporate events in their opulent quarters.

Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Oriental Mindoro

Further south, yachtsmen may moor at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club in Oriental Mindoro, an island location that’s home to tourist attractions like the Sabang Wreck dive site, lively beachfront resorts, and the Malasimbo Music Festival. Puerto Galera Yacht Club has been in operation for almost thirty years and lends services such as refueling provisions and yacht repairs from its marina. Boat owners also enjoy optimal convenience if mooring here, as they can also shop for spare parts in the nearby Batangas port.

Busuanga Yacht Club, Puerta del Sol Bay Marina, Palawan

Beautiful Palawan is a bucket-list destination for many, especially those who dream of cruising its crystalline waters. Accommodating the yachting community in this island province is the Busuanga Yacht Club, which promises secure mooring amidst breathtaking white-sand beaches. Here, each vessel will benefit from a typhoon-safe harbor, easy refueling, and direct access to transportation hubs like the New Busuanga Airport. Adjoining this marina is the Puerta del Sol Bay Resort, which offers luxurious accommodations to visitors. When not atop the deck of a boat, travelers can also explore the lagoons and freshwater lakes of Coron, go shipwreck diving, or relax in the hot springs of Maquinit.

Iloilo Sailing Club, Arevelo, Iloilo City, Iloilo

Iloilo Province is home to some of the country’s most beautiful old-world architecture, a flourishing ecotourism industry, and delectably fresh seafood cuisine. What will round off an unforgettable visit to Iloilo, however, is an excursion to the Iloilo Sailing Club on a leisure watercraft. The club accepts visitors and encourages membership in the case of medium and long-stay mooring. It also hosts a number of amenities and activities, including a dinghy storage, a beach bar and restaurant, and classes for those who want to learn about sailing. In recent months, the Iloilo Sailing Club has also been a convenient meet-up point for big maritime events, such as the Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta and the Seafarers’ Job Fair.

Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan Island, Cebu

The historic Mactan Island in Cebu was the site of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s arrival in the Philippines. Now known as a commercial hub that hosts a prolific furniture and musical instruments industries, Mactan is also the location of the Cebu Yacht Club, an institution that is beloved by the locals. Aside from being an ideal spot to restock on much-needed fuel and supplies, the Cebu Yacht Club is also a trusted club to commission for boat repairs. There’s a good vibe in this club for everybody, as it sports both luxury accommodations and a waterfront strip of restaurants that laid-back diners can frequent. MINDANAO

Holiday Oceanview Marina, Samal Island, Davao del Norte

The Holiday Oceanview Marina is a major attraction of Samal Island in Davao del Norte Province, one that welcomes Filipino and foreign yachtsmen alike to moor within its premises. The space is quite roomy, in fact, with 56 berths that can fit vessels up to 15 meters in length. The club also has a boat ramp that can accommodate boats up to 18 meters in length. The well-guarded and weather-safe marina is a gateway to some of Mindanao’s finest attractions, such as the Pearl Farm, Hagimit Falls, and Giant Clam Sanctuary.

There’s no better way to discover the Philippines from end to end than getting onboard a seaworthy vessel and going on a long cruise, with stops in some of the most beautiful places in the country. Find a safe harbor in any of these major clubs and marinas, and participate in the renaissance of sailing in the Philippines.

Shipping Study of the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters

A study of shipping activity to better inform the marine spatial plan pilot for the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters Strategic Area. The aim of this process is to ensure there is good knowledge of the

use of these waters by all stakeholders so that futur

6. QUESTIONNAIRE FEEDBACK

6.1 Introduction

At the project outset it was anticipated there would be knowledge available that is relevant to the project but unpublished, particularly relating to recreational vessel activity. This was confirmed during the taking stock exercise based on the literature review and initial stakeholder consultation.

A questionnaire survey was designed, with input from the Steering Group, to help obtain this information. A full copy of the questionnaire is provided in Appendix A , and the data provided are held by Marine Scotland.

The questionnaire was mainly targeted at recreational vessel organisations and individual users of the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters. It was directly issued to the organisations listed in Table 6.1 , as well as to individuals who were known by the Project Steering Group to have potentially relevant information, such as recreational sailors.

Table 6.1 Initial Recipients

Anatec and the RYA also advertised the questionnaire on their websites to solicit further responses.

A total of 42 valid responses were received to the questionnaire which are summarised in Section 6.3 . The majority were from recreational sailors or clubs, but a sizeable minority (7 in total) were from sea kayakers and kayaking clubs.

Around the same time as the questionnaire, an article in the Cruising Association magazine "Cruising, March 2012" asked for information on navigation around the Pentland Firth and Orkney waters. The question set differed slightly, therefore, the responses received are analysed separated in Section 6.9 .

6.2 Question 1: Information on Response

This introductory question gathered background information on the respondents (i.e., contact details) and how they had completed the survey. The responses to the latter question are summarised in Figure 6.1 .

Figure 6.1 Summary of Responses to Question 1(b)

There were 20 responses representing organisations and 22 from individuals. All but one respondent indicated they would be willing to participate in further consultation. Those willing to participate further were invited to the local workshops held in July 2012 (see Section 8 ).

The remaining questions were generally more open-ended, allowing respondents flexibility in the information they provided about the use of the area. Not all respondents answered every question but a reasonable sample (over 20 responses) was obtained for each question. The lengths of responses varied from a few words to several paragraphs.

A summary of the questions (see Appendix A for full details) and answers are provided below. Excerpts from responses are provided but they have been kept anonymous.

6.3 Question 2: Approach to Identifying Commercial Shipping using AIS

The majority of responses commented that the planned approach to characterise commercial shipping activity using one month of data from winter and one month from summer was representative.

However, some concerns were raised surrounding "unseasonal" weather patterns, and variability of fishing and cruising activity. Selected excerpts are presented below:

The comments on fishing activity were not pertinent as these vessels are not relevant to the current study having been analysed in the ScotMap project by Marine Scotland.

Cruise ship activity was considered to be well-represented by the July period, which is a peak month. The AIS data were checked against cruise ships visits reported by OIC Marine to put the data in context (see Section 7.8).

It was concluded from the responses that the approach being taken was appropriate for commercial shipping. It was also confirmed that using just two months of AIS data would not be sufficient for recreational vessel activity, only a minority of which carry AIS and which are more affected by weather and seasonal variations.

6.4 Question 3 - Description of Recreational Vessel Activity

This question was divided into six parts to obtain information on the respondents' knowledge of recreational vessel activity in the area. More details are provided below:

a) Nature of Activity :

The responses were generally divided into club activities (sailing and sea kayaking clubs) and individual activities, i.e., recreational sailors cruising in the area.

b) Vessels Involved :

Specific details of the number, type and size of vessels involved in group activities were provided by clubs. Most other responses were from owners of yachts ranging in size from 19-50 feet with the majority in the 30-40 feet range.

Selected excerpts from sea kayaker responses are provided below:

c) Area of Activity :

Several respondents indicated the whole of the PFOW study area is within their area of activity. Other highlighted specific places or features, as indicated by the excerpts given below:

Kayakers highlighted particular routes often undertaken by different clubs but more generally indicated that the whole of the PFOW study area is used. It was also highlighted that additional routes commonly used by kayakers may be found in published guide books:

d) Period of Activity :

The vast majority of activity takes place throughout the summer months (April to October) for all stakeholders. Examples of all-year round activity, which are restricted to suitable weather, included sailing, kayaking and leisure fishing.

e) Frequency of Activity :

Club activities, such as sailing, were the most regular activities, e.g., weekly. There were several responses from cruising yachts which typically visit the area for several weeks annually (or less frequently).

Sea kayaking is a regular activity being carried out on a weekly or fortnightly basis by clubs, as well as individual activities.

f) Broadcast on AIS :

Of the yacht owners who took part in the survey, a few were equipped with AIS receivers but only one had a transmitter which was not always used. It was indicated that some of the better equipped visiting vessels broadcast on AIS .

None of the kayakers use AIS .

6.5 Question 4: Important Areas

Several responses made it clear that the total area is important to recreational vessel activity. The clubs that took part highlighted areas used by their organisations for regular activities as well as training, e.g., Stromness and Thurso Bay.

Sailors highlighted the significance of features such as access to harbours (e.g. Kirkwall, Stromness and Pierowall), bays with good anchorage/ shelter (e.g. Loch Eriboll [4] , Freswick Bay and East Weddel Sound [5] ) as well as popular transit routes, including passage through the Pentland Firth and routes between islands.

Specific areas mentioned by kayakers included popular transit routes (e.g. the Pentland Firth and Eynhallow Sound) but the total area was also mentioned, especially areas close to the coast and areas where kayaks can be easily landed.

In terms of future changes, on the whole the responses suggested that the areas of importance are unlikely to change in the future. However, a few respondents expressed concern about potential disruption being caused by other industries, notably renewable energy and aquaculture.

6.6 Question 5: Effect of Tide and Weather on Recreational Vessel Activity

Virtually all respondents emphasised that careful consideration of tidal patterns is essential due to the nature of tides around the Pentland Firth and Orkney. Certain passages are not possible when travelling against the tide, or if the tide is opposing the prevalent wind direction (e.g. entering or leaving Scapa Flow). The importance of timing a journey to coincide with tides was frequently emphasised (e.g. when transiting between Kirkwall and Stromness) and the need to be readily adaptable (i.e., change of course or prolonged sheltering) is highlighted. Force 6 is frequently mentioned as a cut-off point for dinghy sailing and many visiting yachts remain in shelter when weather conditions exceed this threshold. The need for sufficient preparation and planning and gaining accurate, up-to-date weather information was also stressed as vital.

Sample comments below:

Sea kayakers also emphasised that careful consideration of the tidal and weather patterns is essential. Force 6 is once again mentioned as a cut-off point but it is suggested that some activity may continue in these weather conditions. The ability of the group is frequently mentioned as another factor that must be taken into careful consideration.

6.7 Question 6: RYA Coastal Atlas Critique

Respondents were asked to comment on the RYA Coastal Atlas map of Pentland and Orkney (see Figure 4.2 ).

Several responses indicated that the current map was "ok as is" and provided a "pretty reasonable set of routes". Important routes were highlighted such as access to Kirkwall, Scapa Flow and transit through Pentland Firth.

Routes either side of Eynhallow were mentioned, but the southern route is preferred (currently only northern route is shown). The Inner Sound route via the Pentland Firth was also highlighted (currently only the Outer Sound route is shown).

It was commented that routes are indicative and vary due to tide (e.g., flood or ebb) and weather (see Question 5 responses), which is acknowledged by the RYA in their introduction to the Atlas.

Many sailors indicated that they also deviate from the main routes, making an indirect passage to explore remote locations and anchorages as well as the main harbours and marinas.

Less common routes often undertaken by sailors that could be added include Westray to Papa Westray and Eday to Rousay.

Sea kayakers indicated that as well as using the main routes presented, it is common practice for them to go further afield as they are not limited by water depth. Reference was also made to guidebooks that detail additional routes and maps for sea kayakers (Ref. [viii] Ref. [ix] ).

6.8 Question 7: Additional Information

From the received response it is evident that consultation and liaison with the various stakeholder groups is essential, especially when planning offshore developments.

Kayakers highlighted issues with cables and the importance of consultation.

6.9 Cruising Association Feedback

In parallel to the questionnaire, the Cruising Association requested feedback in a magazine article about the project. Three responses were received from experienced yachtsmen who had all chartered vessels in the area numerous times. The question set differed to the questionnaire, and a selection of notable quotes and a summary of the key points is provided below:

Use of Area

Orkney is a cruising area in its own right. There are many miles of sheltered waters with good safe anchorages. It is also offers useful stopping place when on the way to Shetland. Scapa Flow/Stromness can be used to avoid some of the worst of the Pentland Firth especially bound west.

Weather and Tides

  • The weather is changeable as expected in those latitudes, however in the late spring/summer sailing season it does not deserve being called 'stormy'. Tides need to be respected and can be used to advantage.
  • Much activity, except perhaps within Scapa Flow is controlled by the tides. With wind against tide the Pentland Firth should not be attempted in winds exceeding force 4. The west facing sounds should be respected if there is an appreciable Atlantic swell coming in against a west going tide.

Special Precautions

  • No special equipment is needed apart from that normally recommended for a yacht cruising up to 60M offshore. Should be prepared, with strong enough crew to make a night passage if necessary. It is strongly advised to carry UKHO tidal stream atlas, or equivalent.

Activity outside Summer Season

  • I wouldn't dream of sailing those waters outside the conventional summer season. The CCC sailing directions offer guidance on this subject, which I wouldn't ignore.
  • In the Pentland Firth, bound west to east, I have always used the Outer Sound between Stroma and Swona, keeping well south of the Pentland Skerries - bound northeast pass between Pentland Skerries keeping closer to the South Ronaldsay side. Eynhallow Sound can be difficult.
  • On passage north from the north and west coasts of Scotland I would advocate making landfall at Stromness and then running up to Pierowall on Westray before jumping off for either Fair Isle or direct to Lerwick in Shetland; I've done both. Back from Shetland to Kirkwall via Fair Isle makes a lot of sense and works with the tides.
  • Overnight anchorages listed included East Weddell Sound, west end of Deer Sound, Wyre Sound [27] , Gairsay, bay on south side, Rousay Sound [28] , Bay of Ham [29] , Bay of Carrick [30] , Houton Bay [31] , north of Longhope village, Pierowall Bay, Loch Eriboll, Scapa Flow, Aiker Ness [32] and St Mary's Bay.

Safe Havens

  • Three marinas at Kirkwall, Stromness and Westray, Deer Sound anchorage, Whitehall pier [33] , Kettletoft pier [34] , Pierowall Bay, inner bay anchorage, Houton Bay and Scrabster Harbour.

Most Valuable Area

  • Whole of Orkney has a wide variety of attractions. North coast of Scotland between Scrabster and Tongue has less interesting features for the cruising yacht.

6.10 Conclusions

The main conclusions reached from the feedback are as follows:

  • Characterising commercial shipping using AIS is generally appropriate
  • All of the PFOW area is important to recreational users with individual areas of importance dependent on the specific user group
  • The vast majority of recreational activity takes place throughout the summer months (April to October) for all stakeholders. Examples of all-year round activity include limited sailing, kayaking and leisure fishing
  • Club-orientated activities are the most regular occurring on a weekly basis. Less frequent sailing trips occur on an annual or bi-annual basis
  • Consideration of tide and weather conditions is imperative due to the strong nature of tides in the PFOW area with certain passages not possible in certain tidal states or weather conditions
  • Few resident recreational vessels in the area are equipped with AIS . More commonly it is better equipped visiting yachts that are equipped with AIS
  • RYA Coastal Atlas provides a good foundation for characterising recreational shipping
  • Indicative routes do not tell the full story as individual recreational sailors like freedom to go where they please, and routes are already very variable due to tides and weather
  • Kayakers are a separate, unique group that have similarities to yacht sailors but would need a separate study to fully characterise their behaviour: No kayaks carry AIS and therefore a more in depth study is required to fully understand the most commonly used routes
  • Kayakers exhibit different behaviours to other recreational users: Routes taken often hug the coastline: As kayakers are not limited by depth, they are able to make use of areas other recreational users cannot: Kayakers value bays with suitable launching sites with greater importance compared to conventional marinas and anchorages.

Restaurant-Yacht Chaika

Ratings and reviews, location and contact.

Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Thank you for your feedback and invite you to have lunch or dinner again aboard the ship in an atmosphere of high standards of yacht hospitality.

everything was perfect - the food, the service, the desserts were the best, nice atmosphere and the location - magical

Best food, best view in Moscow. absolutely faultless from arrival to finish. Best risotto i had for many years absolutely perfectly cooked. The view on Ukrainian hotel and the white house by night is amazing

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Hello, Alexander Your comment is extremely important for us, thank you a lot for it. We are terribly sorry for your time that you`ve spent waiting your order and we have already taken actions to improve quality of our service and it would be realy... More

Food is very expensive, very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Atmosphere is great and view is beautiful on the embankment. Special thanks to German & Oleg! More

Thank you for your feedback! Again aboard the yacht restaurant "Chaika" in accordance with the high standards of yacht hospitality.

Highly recommended, great location in the city center of Moscow with a superb atmosphere. Too many menu choices, though all delicious!

Thx a lot for your review! We are looking forward to see you in our restaurants.

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

Good location. Nice views. Good choice of food and drinks. European and Asian menu. Nice service. Pricey enough.

Had a large group dinner here. Food was above average and service quite good. The real attraction is the view of Moscow from the river on a nice night. Great place for a larger group dinner. More
