northern sun, below deck down under, superyacht

Inside the star yacht of Below Deck Down Under season two

Television network Bravo will begin airing season two of Below Deck Down Under on 17 July, a Below Deck spin-off which follows a yacht crew over an eight-week charter season in Australia. This instalment sees Captain Jason Chambers return at the helm, cruising guests around the warm, tropical waters and colourful cays of the near-uninhabited Whitsunday Islands. Making her debut down under is Northern Sun , a Japanese superyacht with an unexpected history. BOAT takes a look inside…

Delivered in 1976 under the name Hokko Maru (“Northern Light”), Northern Sun has lived a full and fascinating life. At 50.8 metres, she was the largest yacht built by Narasaki Shipbuilding at the time and worked as an ice-class research vessel, analysing marine life and ocean currents in the North Japan Sea. The transformation from ship to superyacht came in 2006 when she underwent a two-year refit, courtesy of her new owners.

Northern Sun has the hardy constitution of an explorer, marking a departure from the first season’s white boat Keri Lee III .

When her current owners undertook renovations, they were intent to elevate her to superyacht standards while still maintaining her distinctive look. Her old windlasses are still visible on the forward deck, the master cabin has retained its original camber and even the engine room looks exactly as it did when she was a research ship. "Looks" being the operative word, of course – she’s had several system upgrades since the 70s.

Interiors include natural materials such as narra and makore wood (commonly known as cherry mahogany). This dark wood furniture and wall panelling give Northern Sun her warm, traditional feel, while the cabins themselves are dotted with the owners’ collection of travel paraphernalia. It makes for an eclectic living space, with indoor sofa seating accented by authentic Persian rugs and the formal dining room and master suite fixed with guild-frame, 19th century oil paintings. Keep an eye out for one of the owners’ most coveted pieces, a 100-year-old ship’s clock which still rings out the two-hour, maritime work shift also known as "the dog watch".

Northern Sun’s main deck is dedicated entirely to entertainment, from the al fresco dining area to the main saloon with its piano and games table. Other leisure highlights include gym equipment, a dedicated library on the lower deck and an outdoor Jacuzzi, surrounded by sun pads and lounge beds. The owners’ addition of a forward seating area during her refit allows for versatile recreation, whether the mood calls for cocktail parties or quiet, waterside contemplation.

The superyacht naturally has impressive stowing capacity, with space for scuba-diving equipment, a waterski and a two-deck-high inflatable water slide. There are also two Laser sailboats, enabling nimbler exploration along Australia’s shallow bays and coral reefs.

The owners spent ten years cruising through Southeast Asia after Northern Sun was refitted. Using the superyacht as a base for adventures, they've scuba-dived in the Andaman Sea, kayaked in the mangrove swamps of Phang Nga Bay and explored some of Indonesia’s most remote fishing islands. In 2015, they decided to put Northern Sun on the charter market, where she quickly became one of the most popular yachts available in Thailand. Now, she’s made her way across the seas to become the breakout star of Below Deck Down Under .

Captain Jason will be joined by returning chief stew Aesha Scott, working alongside a brand-new crew.

Northern Sun is currently listed with Ocean Independence , with a weekly charter starting from $161,700 and an asking price of $15,000,000.

Yes, You Really Can Charter The Northern Sun Yacht From Below Deck Down Under

It will cost you, though.

When Captain Jason Chambers set sail for Peacock’s Below Deck Down Under Season 2 , he was in somewhat unchartered territory. Filmed at the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef in the stunning waters of Cairns, Australia, the latest season welcomed guests aboard the M/Y Northern Sun , a Japanese superyacht that was unlike any vessel he’d ever captained in the past. “ Northern Sun is a 1977 Japanese fishing vessel that’s been converted to a luxury superyacht,” Captain Jason explains in the Season 2 premiere. “It’s the perfect vessel because, this season, we’re in Cairns, right at the foothills of the most spectacular underwater scenery you’ll ever see. It’s adventure yachting, and it’s perfect for exploration.”

You don’t have to sign up for a reality TV show to visit the 50.8-meter-long Northern Sun, though. The yacht, which began as an ice-class research vessel that analyzed marine life and ocean currents in the North Japan Sea, is currently listed with a weekly charter starting cost of $161,700 and an asking price of $15 million. Able to accommodate 12 guests in 6 staterooms, Northern Sun includes such luxury amenities as al fresco dining, an outdoor jacuzzi, and a two-deck-high inflatable water slide, as well as a range of water-sport toys, allowing guests the opportunity to go scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, water skiing, and more, while exploring Thailand and surrounding areas.

In a July interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Chief Stew Aesha Scott explained why Northern Sun made Season 2 “completely different ” in allowing guests to have one-of-a-kind experiences. “The boat was smaller, it was more manageable,” she said, comparing the vessel to M/Y Thalassa BDDU ’s inaugural season. “The boat this year was a converted fishing vessel, and for me it was just so much better because Thalassa was outrageous how big it was. That was part of the stress was that it was just so big ... We’re still offering the guests a really nice five-star experience.”

Northern Sun’s laid-back feel also played a key role in Season 2. “I think altogether that it’s just kind of created a more tropical, casual kind of vibe, which I actually think was a real positive thing because the guests were just so relaxed,” Aesha added. “And [they] just got up to such mischief — which was funny most of the time. Sometimes it was annoying, but most of the time it was funny.”

Captain Jason, for his part, shared in a separate interview with the outlet that the latest installment of the original Bravo franchise flew by, either way. “I walked onto the boat, said ‘What the hell is going on?’” he joked. “And then the season ended.”

Following on from the success of Below Deck , the spin-off  Below Deck: Mediterranean premiered in May 2016. While the original series takes place during the winter charter season when the Caribbean is at its peak, Below Deck: Mediterranean is filmed during the summer charter season.

Season one of Below Deck: Mediterranean saw Captain Mark Howard at the helm, but the baton was passed to Captain Sandy Yawn from two onwards. Chief Stewardess Hannah Ferrier was another permanent fixture on the show from season one to five, before leaving the show in season six.

Despite the change in location, the same format and accompanying on-water antics from the crew and guests alike can be expected. The series followed the crew from mid-August until mid-September of 2022 onboard the 180-feet superyacht MUSTIQUE .

Holding up to 12 guests across 6 classically decorated cabins, this yacht is the epitome of elegance with its glossy mahogany paneling and cream upholstery. She is replete with water toys, including kayaks, a seabob, waterskis, and Zapata Flyboards, and has expansive deck areas– offering plenty of scope for both crew and guest antics which make Below Deck: Mediterranean so entertaining.

IONIAN PRINCESS

Ionain Princess season 1 Below Deck Mediterranean

Premiering on 3 May 2016, the very first season of Below Deck: Mediterranean , a spin-off of the increasingly popular franchise, took to viewers' screens. This time the ‘yachties’ took care of their guests onboard the motor yacht IONIAN PRINCESS  in the Mediterranean  destination of Greece .

The starring yacht IONIAN PRINCESS was delivered from Christensen in 2005 and was later refit in 2016 and again in 2021. Truly opulent, she bears interiors that are sleekly finished with a range of warmly toned woods and plenty of comfortable furnishings. She also boasts one of the largest sundecks for a yacht of her size.

Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 1 yacht IONIAN PRINCESS is not currently available for private yacht charter vacations.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

This is the first time the Below Deck franchise branched away from gleaming motor yachts, with the various weather issues that sailing yachts have to contend with adding even more drama and excitement.

The design of luxury sailing yachts  also creates far more confined crew areas than we are used to seeing on the original Below Deck . In general, sailing yachts tend to feature smaller galleys, compact stew stations and cramped crew quarters which are in closer proximity to the guests’ living areas, putting crew under increased pressure to deliver their signature silver service.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3

In addition, deck crew are placed in a far more demanding role, with sailing yachts requiring increased accuracy and precision to safely maneuver and plenty of deck duties taking place in the midst of guest areas.

PARSIFAL III

Sailing yacht on Below Deck

An iconic and suitable yacht for the much-loved series Below Deck: Sailing , the 54m (177ft) sailing yacht PARSIFAL III has blessed our screens for all four series of the hit maritime show.

Season 1 saw the sailing yacht cruising around the beautiful islands of Greece , an  East Mediterranean destination that is peppered with an incredible variety of islands. Season 2 was set around the glistening waters of Croatia and in  Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing , M/Y PARSIFAL III came back to where she traditionally charters in the beautiful Balearic island of Menorca . For the latest Below Deck: Sailing Yacht season she ventured around the glittering coastline of Sardinia .

The yacht can comfortably charter up to 12 guests across 5 luxurious cabins with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

Some of the activities include paragliding, exploring unique caves and taking extreme helicopter rides, Below Deck: Adventure provides endless entertainment as well as giving viewers a glimpse of the astonishingly beautiful landscapes in and around  Norway .

In  Below Deck: Adventure season 1, Capt. Kerry Titheradge leads the crew with Jessica Condy as Chef and Faye Clarke as Chief Stew.

As seen in season 1 of Below Deck Adventure , the 49m (164ft) motor yacht MERCURY is a high-quality and highly reliable Dutch-built luxury charter yacht. Delivered by Amels in 2001, the yacht is to the highest standard and pedigree and boasts a wealth of convivial spaces, perfect for relaxing, unwinding and socializing onboard.

Home to an impressive array of amenities, standout highlights include an expansive Jacuzzi, a large swim platform for easy access to the water and a gym. An advanced stabilization system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

The Below Deck Ships Ranked By Luxury and Style

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Below Deck premiered on Bravo in 2013, showcasing luxury yachts sailing through exotic locations. Multiple spin-offs emerged following its success. Below Deck Mediterranean premiered in 2016, followed by Below Deck Sailing Yacht in 2020. In 2022, Below Deck Down Under aired, joined several months later by Below Deck Adventure .

To date, 16 yachts have been introduced via this series, though zero come cheaply. In addition to the base weekly costs listed by Yacht Charter Fleet , guests also have to factor in the added expenses of tips, fuel, food and docking fees.

For your daydreaming assistance, here are the 16 current Below Deck ships ranked by luxury and style (cries in broke).

Below Deck (Original) Seasons 4, 5, 7: VALOR

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Baker Manning (@bakermanning87)

Valor (registered as BG ) sits at a mere (ha) $157,000 per week charter. Though Valor was built in 1990, it has undergone several interior “refreshes.” The accents onboard follow a minimalist style, with black and white artwork, dark woods tones, and bright aesthetics throughout the interior and exterior spaces.

Below Deck (Original) Season 2: OHANA

View this post on Instagram A post shared by M/Y Star Diamond (@stardiamondyacht)

A week onboard Ohana (registered under Star Diamond ) starts at $160,000. Ohana first set sail in 1998, with a complete refit in 2022. The interior features a clean, modern style with enough outdoor spaces for everyone onboard to find solitary refuge. This yacht is also equipped with underwater lights, which cast warm hues across the ocean.

Below Deck (Original) Season 3: Eros

View this post on Instagram A post shared by CharterWorld Yacht Charter (@charterworld)

Eros (registered under Stay Salty ) is up next, though you’ll need to cough up $160,000 to step onboard. Built in 2010, Eros has a timeless interior styling , complete with wood paneling and a neutral color palette. A sauna is also included to help charter guests detox and regenerate.

Below Deck Down Under Season 2: Northern Sun

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Classic Charters (@classic.yachts)

The Northern Sun can be yours for just over $161,000 a week. This is an older boat, built in 1976 with a rebuild in 2007. Here, interior walls and fabrics are warm and inviting, with wood paneling seen throughout. An ice-strengthened hull surrounds this yacht, making her able to traverse safely through extreme waters to reach any adventurous location desired.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1: Ionian Princess

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Baroque Yachts (@baroque_yachts)

The Ionian Princess started the Below Deck Mediterranean series , but it is not available for charters. Prior, it was offered at $165,000 per week. Originally built in 2005, refits occurred in 2016 and 2021. Her interiors feature warmly toned woods and comfortable furnishings. She contains one of the largest sundecks for her size, and ranks high on the list of the best of the Below Deck ships.

Below Deck (Original) Season 1: Honor

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Emperio Yachting Alliance (@emperioyachtingalliance)

Honor (registered as Barents ) sets its 12 guests back $174,000 per week. First built in 1999 and refit in 2021, this vessel’s makeover brought her up to modern standards. One look at her gorgeous interiors of marble and white linens will have you packing your bags…to watch it set sail from your couch.

Below Deck Adventure Season 1: Mercury

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Carol Chen (@lifebycarol)

A week of adventure onboard Mercury clocks in at $191,000 for 12 guests. Built in 2001, this is a high-quality, Dutch-built, luxury yacht. With ample interior and exterior spaces , as well as every water toy imaginable, this yacht was built for fun and comfort.

Below Deck Mediterranean Seasons 2,4: Sirocco

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Omega Architects (@omega.architects)

Coming in at $202,000 per week, the Sirocco is ready for your 12 guests. Built in 2006 with a 2013 refit, the warm interiors and spacious exteriors will lure anyone easily in for a nap. If you’ve had enough sun for a day, a state of the art theater is also included.

Below Deck Down Under Season 1: Thalassa

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Aaron Cooper (@nomadcoops)

All that the Thalassa (registered under KERI LEE III) is missing is ME, but as she costs $211,000 per week to charter, we will continue to remain two ships passing in the night. Able to accommodate 12 guests, this 2001 built vessel comes equipped with an expansive beauty salon, a massage room, and a movie theater. With rich wood tones and darker fabrics, she’s cozy indeed, and one of the nicest of the Below Deck ships.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7: Home

View this post on Instagram A post shared by •WORLDWIDE YACHT CHARTER• (@ibiza_yachting_group_)

For a mere $2450,000 per week, motor yacht Home can accommodate you and your 11 closest richest friends. Newly built in 2017, Home has all of the bells and whistles, including sleek, modern interiors and an adrenaline seeking Flyboard for the deckhands to drag out for your personal usage.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5: The Wellington

View this post on Instagram A post shared by MY The Wellesley (@mythewellesley)

While The Wellington (registered as The Wellesley ) costs just over $258,000 each week to charter, you and your 11 guests will likely find its chic 2016 interior refit to your liking. Onboard, marble accents and ample alfresco decks abound. If I can ever afford this, I’m taking the since-fired Hannah Ferrier with me, as Hannah deserves a better ending on this yacht.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 3: Talisman Maiton

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Yacht Harbour (@yacht_harbour)

Built in 2006 and refit in 2016, the Talisman Maiton hosts 12 guests for $259,500 a week. Boasting a modern interior of dark hues, darker marble accents, and crisp white linens, this yacht screams opulence. With two tenders and all of the water toys imaginable, you’d be hard pressed to find faults onboard.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Seasons 1-4: Parsifal III

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Captain Glenn Shephard (@capt_glennshephard)

Known as the only yacht for this spin-off, the Parsifal 111 gives main character energy. Though Season 4 saw engine issues arise, Captain Glenn Shephard stated during the reunion that fixes were made. Therefore, her weekly cost of $264,000 shouldn’t see you or your 11 guests stranded as you wine and dine in it’s inviting entertaining spaces .

Below Deck (Original) Seasons 6,8,9: My Seanna

View this post on Instagram A post shared by M/Y My Seanna (@my_seanna)

My Seanna costs $275,000 per week to charter 12 guests. Refit in 2021, this opulent yacht contains ornate interiors and shinny fittings that have been brushed in 22-carat gold. Yes, gold. The included beach club area is also a nice touch.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6: Lady Michelle

View this post on Instagram A post shared by YATCO (@searchyatco)

Clocking in at at $325,000 for a week-long charter for 12 is the Lady Michelle . Onboard, every water toy, including scuba diving equipment and fishing gear, plus a beach club, exists. With an outdoor movie theater and interior space a plenty, this yacht can take our money.

Below Deck (Original) Season 10: St. David

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Port Adriano (@portadriano)

Weighing in as the largest of the Below Deck ships is St. David . With a price tag of $365,00 per week to step onboard with 12 guests, you can guarantee that every amenity will be at your fingertips. The 3-deck tall spiraled staircase is gorgeous, but if you’re drinking, watch your step. Built in 2008, this yacht can also host 14 crew members for all of your espresso martini needs.

‘Below Deck Down Under’ Exclusive Clip: Jaimee Says Aesha Letting Margot Finish Out On Service Is A “Kick To The Gut”

T his whirlwind second season of Below Deck Down Under is winding down, but you know the yachties of the Northern Sun will deliver drama until the very minute they step off that boat! Over the course of charter season, we’ve seen chief stew Aesha Scott attempt to help third stew Margot Sisson move from unsure laundress to budding service superstar. Margot’s ascent was short-circuited when Aesha caught her drinking pina coladas on the job and was forced to report her to Captain Jason Chambers . After a warning from Captain Cutie, Margot spent the second to the last charter back on laundry and housekeeping duties, and second stew Jaimee Neale, who had graciously swapped roles with Margot, returned to her service duties.

In this exclusive clip from tonight’s all-new episode, Margot takes Aesha aside for a conversation in the hope of redeeming herself. “I would love to finish on service if you would let me,” Margot tells Aesha. She adds, “I know I did a good job last time, but I had the one little slip up, and I would love to totally erase that and just end it with a bang.” Overcome with emotion, Aesha jokingly accepts her proposal, cheekily saying “I do!” Little do they know, Jaimee is listening to the lovefest from the next room as she finishes cleaning up.

“If I can take this opportunity to give you one last good training session before we send you off on another boat… I would love to do that,” says Aesha kindly. Margot goes in for a hug and expresses that she thought Aesha might be bummed because her switch to service might mean more labors for Aesha. “Jaimee’s so great, and I don’t want you to have to do extra work because of me,” Margot says and rightfully so. “She is so great, but so are you,” Aesha tells her.

Still listening to their conversation, Jaimee furiously wraps an extension cord in the next room. In her confessional, she tells the cameras: “I was brought onto this boat to be a service stew. It’s a bit of a kick to the gut.” The cameras then cut back to the Margot and Aesha finishing their conversation. “I hope Jaimee’s not mad,” Margot says, sensing she might have overstepped her boundaries with the second stew. “She won’t mind. I’m sure she’ll be fine,” Aesha says warmly…but will she? Tune in tonight to find out!

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

The chief stew is sharing some major life updates, including recent traveling adventures.

northern light yacht below deck

Over the past few months, we've been keeping up with  Daisy Kelliher  as she's shared some smoldering swimsuit photos. From her light purple two-piece she wore while visiting Los Angeles, California, in January, to the cheeky black one-piece  she rocked in Dubai in February, the  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  cast member has been busy on the vacation front.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Peacock and the Bravo app .

In addition to her swimsuit photos, Daisy has also recently shared details about her travels, hopping on her Instagram page to post, yes, more swimsuit pics, but also views of the different places she visited since we last saw her on BDSY  Season 4. Keep scrolling to get all the details!

Daisy Kelliher's life update since Season 4 of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht

"February," Daisy plainly captioned a series of March 4 Instagram posts, which first showed off that stunning black one-piece in Dubai.

Elsewhere in the series, Daisy hit up the slopes in Colorado, checked out Universal Studios , partied in Los Angeles, hit up a concert in Hollywood, and also visited  Lindsay Hubbard  for the Summer House  cast member's unveiling of her new Nashville home, "Hubb House Nash."

In another Instagram post shared on March 4, Daisy revealed a carousel of images detailing her different adventures in California.

"It was another amazing week in LA. I just love how there is so much to do!" Daisy captioned the post, in which she noted how she visited Universal Studios, Mother Wolf restaurant, The Bungalow in Santa Monica, the club Lock & Key in Koreatown, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and Shirley's restaurant located inside the hotel. Daisy added that she saw the music group Kaskade at Avalon Hollywood for an "amazing" night out in the city.

Daisy shared several photos from her travels, including snapshots of delicious-looking food, nights in the club, and outfits for her California occasion.

Daisy Kelliher is friends with Christina Applegate

What's more, Daisy has also formed an unlikely friendship over the past few months with actress Christina Applegate, who became a big fan of the Below Deck   franchise.

"She’s a huge Bravo fan, and she reached out to me via Instagram, and was massively supportive," Daisy shared in an interview with the  Daily Mail on February 19. She said, 'Hey Daisy,' and we FaceTime and stuff. She's just so nice."

The chief stew also noted she hoped to "meet up" with Christina some day. Daisy didn't post any photos from her L.A. trip with Christina, but we wonder if they did indeed meet up during Daisy's trip.

"She's busy with her family and I know she is taking it easy, and keeping all of her energy for her [Multiple Scelorsis], but hopefully we’ll make time," Daisy concluded to the outlet.

More details from Daisy Kelliher's vacation in Los Angeles

Earlier in January, we caught up with Daisy when she visited out west. For the occasion, took to her Instagram Stories to share a view of herself taking in the beautiful sunset by the beach.

In addition to her sunset pic, Daisy also shared a snap of herself soaking up the sun on the gorgeous California beach.

Daisy Kelliher dishes Below Deck Sailing Yacht success, reveals if she still stalks to Gary King after scandal

Daisy Kelliher on BDS Season 4

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher has dished about her success on the hit show ahead of Season 5.

Daisy has appeared on three seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and helped turn the show around after a lackluster first season.

Despite a serious rift in the dream team trio of Colin, Daisy, and Gary following Season 4, fans still can’t get enough of them.

Ahead of her fourth stint on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Daisy has opened up about life following her success and how she ended up on the show.

Daisy lost her job during the COVID-19 pandemic and at the urging of friends, she applied to be on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Speaking with The Irish Independent, Daisy admitted that a couple of weeks after applying, she was filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 in Croatia.

Daisy Kelliher dishes Below Deck Sailing Yacht success

Although it may seem like Daisy’s life has changed drastically since she became a staple on the sailing franchise, she insists that’s not the case.

“My life hasn’t changed dramatically, but there have been small, subtle changes – it’s been fun,” she expressed to the outlet.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, one big change for Daisy is her new friendship with Hollywood A-list star Christina Applegate.

Daisy also looked back on her life since her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut, admitting she didn’t think she would get the gig, but is beyond happy she did.

“The last three years have been kind of a whirlwind, I really can’t complain. I’m getting to do all my yachting work and slowly getting to do other things as well,” Daisy stated.

With her fourth season hitting Bravo airwaves this year, one can’t help but wonder how much longer Daisy will still be on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

“I’m just being a ‘yes person’ at the moment. The last few years have changed very quickly, so my attitude right now is just saying yes and seeing where things take me,” Daisy spilled. “I’ve done everything from podcasts to the show, to still doing both, so every day is very different. I don’t know what the future holds right now.”

Along with opening up about her success on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Daisy also shared if she still speaks to Gary following sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Daisy Kelliher reveals if she still talks to Gary King

Last summer, Gary was accused of sexual misconduct by a production team member. However, even before that, Daisy and Gary were at odds over things that went down during Season 4, especially her hooking up with Colin.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans have wondered where Daisy and Gary stand today following the scandal and their fallout. After all, Gary was removed from BravoCon after the allegations against him came to light, so no resolution to his and Daisy’s friendship was revealed there.

During an Instagram Stories Q&A session, Daisy asked who she talks to from the show. Dani Soares and Gary were two names Daisy brought up immediately.

Daisy Kelliher IG Story

Although she did mention she keeps in touch with others like Alli Dore, Daisy also declared that they all simply live different lives. Daisy confirmed that no other cast members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht live in London, where she resides.

Daisy frequently hangs with Below Deck stars Fraser Olender and Hayley De Sola Pinto. She also spends time with Below Deck Med alum Courtney Veale since they live in London.

The wait to see Daisy Kelliher back on Below Deck Sailing Yacht won’t be much longer. Captain Glenn hinted at when the Parsifal III crew will be back, and you can read what he had to say here.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Peacock.

Scarano Boat

Northern Lights

Like many Scarano boats, Northern Lights was designed and built in close cooperation with her new owners, in this case, the Lake Champlain Transportation Company, which operates the ferries that cross Lake Champlain on a daily basis when the ice does not prevent travel. She is a very efficient performer despite her heavy build, which is necessary to withstand the thick ice in Lake Champlain in which she spends her winters.  Her owners operate her at far less than her designed capacity to provide their customers with a more luxurious experience on this yacht-quality excursion boat.  Like her close cousin  Adirondack , which operates on Lake George, the unfinished hull was delivered on her own bottom using a temporary helm station and subsequently completed on-site by a Scarano crew.

Classic Harbor Line of New York now owns and operates the yacht Northern Lights from its Boston location . It is available daily to take guests on cruises through Boston Harbor to see Boston’s iconic waterfront sites and monuments. Northern Lights measures 115 feet in length along her waterline and expands to a 28-foot beam. She was built with a beautiful mahogany bar, ceiling accents, ceiling trim, and railings. Comfortable seating is available in the interior, first floor, and climate-controlled cabin, while bench seating is provided on our open bow and covered top deck, which offers unobscured views of Boston Harbor and the skyline!

Yacht Northern Lights
