Fortunately, there are yacht clubs all over the country that would love to welcome you as a brand-new member. You can enjoy an afternoon on the water with a beautiful yacht in exchange for a small sum of money.

But how much do Yacht Club memberships generally cost?

Prices for Yacht Clubs will vary based on your location, the fleet, and even the amenities that are offered at the marina. The average annual membership price is between $900-$4,000 depending on your level of luxury and needs.

To give you an idea of what you could expect to pay for your yacht club membership, here are some numbers gathered from across the country:

What are the Cheapest Yacht Clubs?

The cheapest yacht clubs charge just under $1,000 per year for membership. While this does give you access to different types of experiences, you may be disappointed by the overall amenities.

Some yacht clubs are known for their extravagant country club styles that help you to embrace a particular lifestyle. They include Olympic-sized swimming pools, state-of-the-art tennis courts, and fine dining.

Everything has a beautiful waterfront view. It can feel like you are in the middle of an idyllic paradise without ever even having to leave the shore. If this is what you can gain from the most expensive yacht clubs, you should set your expectations much lower for the cheaper yacht clubs.

The cheaper yacht clubs lack the community aspect of these exclusive options. They feature dry slips and the occasional party, but not much more.

Some of them may have the feel of a county park with some picnic benches, outdoor grills, and a moderately sized swimming pool. Expect a much more casual atmosphere when you choose to go with a cheaper yacht club.

It is even possible that they are simply “paper yacht clubs” that do not even maintain a physical building of their own.

How Much Do the Most Expensive Yacht Clubs Cost to Join?

The most expensive yacht clubs can vary a great deal in price. Most of them will cost between $3,000 and $4,000 per year. However, you can certainly find more exclusive clubs that will cost above and beyond this.

Keep in mind that these more expensive clubs generally are not open to the public. They are offered by invitation only and you must have a member sponsor you to be considered for entrance.

When you are paying for a more expensive yacht club, you should make sure that you are really going to get your money’s worth. These expensive clubs promote a certain type of elegant lifestyle.

Make sure that you are planning to take advantage of all the amenities available from one of these clubs before you sink too much money into the membership fees. The social aspect of these expensive yacht clubs is extremely important.

If you plan to simply rent a boat from time to time, you might be able to go with a cheaper yacht club.

What Is Generally Included in the Membership Fee for Yacht Clubs?

Have you been wondering why you should join a yacht club? Many potential members want to know what they can expect from their membership fees before they commit to a year-long contract. There are many advantages to signing up for a membership with a well-known yacht club.

Amenities and Activities

First and foremost, you get access to activities and cruises planned by board members. These might be various sailing activities, dinners, get-togethers, tennis matches, or other events that take up a lazy Sunday afternoon.

You also gain access to any amenities that surround the yacht club’s marina. For many programs, this means a fitness center, pool, and tennis courts. Several locations also offer fine dining, meeting rooms, and more.

It is like a private oasis where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the regular world. Time moves slowly when you’re enjoying the amenities here.

Many yacht clubs have programs that introduce children (and adults!) to sailing. Take classes to learn more about improving your technique, sailing safety, and other important aspects of life on the open water.

Access to the Fleet

The main reason why most people join yacht clubs is to be able to rent out boats instead of purchasing their own. Joining a yacht club may give you access to an entire fleet of yachts that can be reserved for a day or weeks at a time. Some yacht clubs allow you to rent boats for up to ten days at a time.

Others do not allow you to rent out ships. They are primarily geared toward individuals who already own a yacht or will own a yacht in the future. Make sure you know the difference in advance.

danversport yacht club pool membership cost

Are There any Additional Costs Besides the Membership Fees?

Unfortunately, the membership fees are not the only cost associated with joining a yacht club. Most of the clubs in the United States also have a one-time initial fee that tends to cost thousands of dollars. Many will range from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the location and the exclusivity of the yacht club.

This one-time fee should be the only additional money you pay except for fuel. Most yacht clubs do not cover the cost of the fuel used in the ship during your rental if renting is an option. Be prepared for what this could cost you.

If you cause damage to the ship, you can also expect some out-of-pocket costs. Insurance should cover the damage, but you will likely be asked to cover the cost of the deductible.

Be sure to inquire about how much you may be on the hook for before you sign up for any particular yacht club. Accidents can happen, even to the most experienced sailors. Make sure that you can afford the mishap in advance.

Is a Yacht Club Membership Right for You?

Understanding what the real cost of a yacht club membership is can be the first step toward determining if this is right for you. Many people love the luxuries available through the more expensive yacht clubs, but they may not be able to afford it. Consider what is most important in a club to you before deciding to sign on the dotted line for an annual membership.

Two years in and I don't have a single regret! Eric and his team are the best and treats all my family and friends like his family and friends. He helped me learn to navigate the boats and has made every trip amazing. As you can see from the pictures we've been on the water A LOT. It's been a fantastic investment and one that is much more affordable than buying, storing and maintaining my own boat. The Danversport Marina is in a great location for exploring the North Shore of Boston. Imagine driving into the Marina and a sparkling clean boat awaits you. After spending a beautiful, sunny day on the water, return the boat to Eric and he takes care of the rest. Just jump in your car and head home. It does not get better than this. And talk about flexible? Bring the kids! Bring the dog! Bring your friends! Go fishing! Love lighthouses? There are dozens! Want to swim? Dive right in. What are you waiting for? The boats are cleaned, gassed up, and ready for you and your loved ones to have the most memorable summer. Give Eric a call.

As a 3-year member of Carefree Boat Club I can say that it has been an absolutely terrific experience. Eric runs the club and treats every member like family. The boats are immaculate, and all have toilets. They have added new boats to the fleet so members consistently have access to reservations, even on weekends and holidays. When we wanted some additional training the team was more than helpful in getting us out on the water with a captain who gave us a refresher course. The marina is beautiful and memberships include a pool membership at the Danversport Yacht Club, so you can enjoy lunch from the grill and a swim after a day on the water. Perfect!

Eric and crew are great! Clean boats and docks. More fun than I could put in words! Kids love the boats and using the pool at Danversport. I would definitely give eric a call if you want to get out on the water!

We love it. Boats are highly available all season, weekdays and weekends. They're clean, well equipped and all have a toilet on board. Choice of the boat you want, from center console, dual console and pontoon. Just a great, easy, affordable way to enjoy boating the North Shore all season. Can't beat the value and simplicity.

CareFree Boat Club was the highlight of my families Summer! We have truly enjoyed our time out on the water together without the hassle of boat ownership. The boats are so well-maintained and have everything you need to enjoy a trip out on the water. Once back to the dock you can enjoy the grill or a dip in the pool at the marina. What we value most about this club is Eric and his team. We always feel so welcome when we come to the club for the day. Eric is so personable and immediately made us feel like we are part of the CareFree family. We cannot wait for next season!

Photo of Trudy R.

Carefree Boat Club is a great way to do boating without the ownership. Eric and Karen are great to work with. They keep the boats very clean. Carefree is located at Danversport Yacht Club. Great location, access to the club's pool and bathhouse. Nice restaurant on location.

Photo of Tony P.

The Care Free Boat Club experience at Danversport is ZEN. I lead a busy life as most do. The ability to take out a quality boat or have a cocktail on the docks with new and old friends is priceless. Think of the club as an overall life experience that enriches your precious down time. I have been a member going on my second year; my family and I love it. A bonus is having the pool available as well. Want to go fishing? ...take out one of the center consoles; want to relax in one of the many surrounding harbors with a beverage, food and friends? ...the bow riders are perfect for that. Whether you are new to boating or tired of the responsibility and cost of owning a boat, Care Free Boat Club in Danvers has what you are looking for. The owner is a great guy, family man and a local business owner. The reason we joined was to create long lasting memories for our kids and friends. It's nice to look out and see the ocean but it's even better being on it!

Kalen DeBoer contract details: Buyout, bonuses and perks for new Alabama coach

  • Published: Mar. 18, 2024, 6:55 p.m.

Kalen DeBoer will get a monthly phone stipend and access to a private jet in Tuscaloosa. Such is life for an Alabama head football coach.

DeBoer has been on the job for two months, hitting the recruiting trail and starting spring practice. However, on Monday, Nick Saban’s successor had his contract accepted by the UA System board of trustee’s compensation committee.

Through public records requests, outlets, including AL.com, confirmed DeBoer’s eight-year, $87 million agreement with the university.

DeBoer’s contract will run through Dec. 31, 2031. Compensation will start at $10 million annually and increase by $250,000, topping at $11.75 million in his final season. By comparison, Saban’s first coaching contract with the Tide in 2007 was for eight years and $32 million.

Should DeBoer be fired “without cause,” he will earn 90 percent of his remaining deal in monthly installments through the end of his contract term. If DeBoer terminates the contract, Alabama is owed a $5 million buyout in 2024, $4 million in 2025 and $3 million in 2026. From 2027-31, there is no payment owed from DeBoer to the school.

Some perks come with being the head football coach of the Crimson Tide and here’s some of what DeBoer and agent Jimmy Sexton negotiated for:

  • DeBoer will be paid a bonus of $75,000 if Alabama reaches a Southeastern Conference championship game. That will boost to $125,000 if UA wins.
  • A berth in the impending 12-team College Football Playoff will lead to a $150,000 bonus, scaling to $250,000 for a quarterfinals appearance, $400,000 for a semifinals run, $600,000 for making the national title game and $875,000 should Alabama win it all.
  • Alabama promises to give DeBoer a minimum assistant salary pool of at least $9.17 million for 10 on-field assistants. The university approved 11 contracts today for DeBoer coaches, but special teams coordinator Jay Nunez is not expected to have an on-the-field role.
  • DeBoer is in line for $50,000 if Alabana’s football team has a graduation rate in the top half of the SEC and $100,000 if it falls in the top four.
  • If DeBoer is named coach Southeastern Conference coach of the year by his counterparts he will be awarded $25,000. If DeBoer wins a national coach of the year award — he was recognized by the Associated Press and Sporting News last year — he gets an added $50,000.
  • DeBoer has a year automobile allowance of $16,800. Like other Alabama head coaches, DeBoer will have a monthly cell phone stipend of $225.
  • DeBoer will have a skybox in Bryant-Denny Stadium for each Alabama home game with parking passes and 15 tickets. For road games, DeBoer’s “spouse and dependents” can travel at no cost to DeBoer.
  • UA will pay DeBoer’s monthly membership to North River Yacht Club or another golf and country club in Tuscaloosa County. However, DeBoer will have to pay for his own drinks and food.
  • DeBoer will have access to a “non-commercial airline airplane” up to 30 hours of flight time each season for personal use. The hours do not roll over.

Places For Pleasant Recreation in Moscow Region

danversport yacht club pool membership cost

We suggest you a review of sanatoriums, hotels, lodges and guesthouses around the capital. Moscow region has a big variety of places for rest and these are the most noteworthy of them.

YAKOR GUESTHOUSE

Almost like an American motel, but situated at the Oka River

Yakor

There are: equipment for winter sports, a massage salon, a beauty shop, a bath-sauna with a sweating room and a font, billiards, karaoke. Things to do: go to Tarusa, visit the House-Museum of Tsvetaeva’s family, the Musatovsky slope, memorable places connected with Paustovsky.

Yakor is arranged by principles of an American motel. Rooms are clean; there is a shower, TV, towels, and heat if it is necessary. In some rooms, you will also find a refrigerator. Almost full size wooden fishes act as key charms. In warm season, you can buy cheap fruits, vegetables and flowers in a nearby shop.

If you want to have some cultural adventures, you can go to Tarusa or visit a place where Marina Tsvetaeva wanted to be buried. In addition, there opens a wonderful view over Oka River with its fogs and plains.

Tarusa, Decembrists Street, 4 +7 48435 2 55 81 tarusa-yakor.ru

The price of a double room starts from 1250 rubles (€12.55).

NIKOLA-LENIVETS

«Beaubourg», «Lighthouse» and other land-art objects in the park: romanticism in a spirit of «The True Detective»

Nikola Lenivets

There are: a kitchen-dining room with three meals a day, sledges, ice-boats, skis and snow-scooters, a Russian bath, hootch and other gifts of local farmers. Things to do: walk around art objects.

It is ok to go to Nicola-Lenivets in any tome of the year. In winter, art objects look differently, than in summer. Houses in Koltsovo are very warm; you will find valenoki in each of them- to change your footwear in case of a bad weather. Directly near the porch of the house, guests can take sledges and iceboats and go riding to «Lighthouse». It is possible to order skis. The bathhouse costs 1500 rubles (€15.06) per hour.

Kaluga region, Kiyevskoye Highway, Nikola-Lenivets +7 499 504 43 33 www .nikola-lenivets.com

Prices start from 1300 rubles (€13.05) for a place in hostel; double rooms in Koltsovo cost about 1600 rubles (€16.06).

A health resort, turned from the XIX century estate into the President’s Office Health Resort with unexpectedly democratic prices

snegiri

There are: a Russian bath and a modern Spa center with pearl bathtubs and other delicacies, medical services with a decent choice of experts and procedures, massage, a pool, a fitness club, a sports hall, a skating rink, a music hall where classic musicians perform from time to time. Things to do: go to the New Jerusalem Monastery, the Museum of Wooden Architecture or find a park grotto in Rozhdestveno that looks exactly like a hobbit dwelling.

The place has gone through some repairs recently and became very modern. It has fine communications, billiards, a big beautiful dining room, summer outdoor café and a beautiful view of local architecture. It is possible to order lunches previously in a day in the dining room. However, service is a little Soviet. To diversify food, you can go to one of four restaurants at the territory. Besides, it is possible to prepare a barbecue on coals. For entertainment, you can ride a bicycle through the paths or go to a swimming pool – an outdoor one during summer or indoor during cold season. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a boat club.

Carefree Boat Club is a private club. This means that our boats are only available to Members. We do not rent or charter our boats. Our members are the only ones with unlimited access to the fleet and they  never pay a fee to use the boats .

Carefree Boat Club Boston Danvers, MA

Is It Truly "Unlimited?"

Yes! Members have true unlimited access to boats.  Boat as much as you like .

Is It Worth The Price?

It really is. With membership as little as 1/3 cost of owning a boat, you can cross numerous expenses off your list such as: boat purchase, slip fee, insurance, maintenance, repairs, taxes, towing and winterization.

How Does The Training Work?

All members get as much training as they need on and off the water. "On The Water" training is done with a certified instructor. Training covers CBC processes, general navigation, docking and safety.

How Soon Can I Get On The Water?

After joining, new members (without boating experience) can normally be boating within days of joining. If you have previous boat training, you can be on the water even sooner.

Are The Boats Well-Maintained?

Absolutely, in fact, all boats are inspected weekly by the CBC dock staff using a 50 point checklist of safety equipment, hull condition, electronics, and general mechanical items.

"Fall In Love With The Premier Boating Lifestyle"

"I joined Carefree a little over a year ago.  My experience has been nothing short of excellent . I have enjoyed boating for years but was never the captain. When some life circumstances changed, I thought I would have to give up this relaxing pleasure. I was not ready to do that,  so boating without owning was the perfect solution for me . The Carefree Boat Club instructors were patient and made sure that I was completely comfortable before going out on my own. The price is reasonable, and the extras that come membership are great!"

"This is our 3rd year at the Carefree Boat Club and we continue to thoroughly enjoy the experience. The concept works well for us, just make a reservation on-line and show up at the dock. The boats are new or nearly new, are always clean and ready to go . The staff are terrific people, they run the club like family. Always friendly, courteous, and accommodating to most any situation. They encourage you to get out there, help make it happen, and make the club experience very enjoyable."
