Neben den beiden Hotels und Restaurants „Kleiner Seehof“ und „Zur alten Frische“ hat sich in den letzten Jahren das Restaurant „Yacht Club Rursee“ als fester Bestandteil der hiesigen Gastronomie etabliert. Seit nun mehr fünf Jahren, da es von der Familie Krag geführt wird, hat es sich zum echten Anziehungspunkt entwickelt. Das liegt nicht nur an der wunderbaren Aussicht auf die Woffelsbacher Bucht und der betont ruhigen Innenausstattung, sondern vor allem an der monatlich wechselnden Speisekarte, die der Herr der Töpfe Stephan Krag mit seiner Frau zusammenstellt.

Als Clublokal des Yacht Club Rursee e.V. ist es für viele Seglerfreunde zugleich ein Ort, wo man sich unter Gleichgesinnten zum Erfahrungsaustausch trifft. Das heißt jedoch nicht, dass sich hier nur Segelfreunde treffen. Hier ist jeder Gast willkommen, egal ob er Segler oder einfach nur Besucher ist.

Einfach mal genießen, schlemmen und zur Ruhe kommen, dafür ist das Restaurant Yacht Club Rursee eine gute Adresse. Ständig lässt man sich hier neue Ideen einfallen, um so seinen Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten.

Und in jedem Jahr am 31. Oktober wird ein Jahresjubiläum gefeiert, bei dem das Gemäuer bebt. Das Restaurant hat sich mittlerweile einen Namen gemacht, der weit über die Grenzen unseres Eifelorts bekannt ist.

Der Erfolg steigt den Wirtsleuten zu Kopf. Die Frage, ob ein Tisch auf der Terrasse frei sei, würde nur widerwillig beantwortet. Die Qualität des Steaks war eine Katastrophe. Ließ sich kaum schneiden, und ich war ein Idiot, daß ich es nach dem ersten Schnitt überhaupt gegessen habe.

Found this place for breakfast as it is close to the ferry ports where we had just arrived. There is seating inside and out and there an nice views across the old marina. Modern decor with a sophisticated vibe. Several breakfasts on offer from orange... juice, pastries and honey/yogurt through to full cooked breakfasts, pancakes etc. Was so good we cam back for lunch another day and had salad, beer coffee etc. Came after dark another evening for cocktails (which were very good) and the atmosphere was busy but very laid back - just what you want after a busy day on the beach! I would say this place has the definite advantage of being just outside the medieval town walls - which means it is less expensive and a bit quieter than the tourist traps inside. Also the service was excellent each time we visited. Will definitely use again next time we are in Rhodes. More

This is the perfect spot to overlook the Mandraki harbour in Rhodes old town. Portions were generous too! Very reasonably priced, especially when compared with smaller restaurants in the town (which were so expensive!!). They had a few vegetarian options available too. Superb iced coffee... on a hot day as well. The restaurant is also close to the coach transfer points, which helps on a hot day! One general tip - review the prices for small tavernas and restaurants in the town. Prices are clearly hiked due to the volume of tourists. The Yachting Club however, had a very reasonable price range throughout their menu. More

Our visits to Rhodes always include stops at the yachting club and we’re never disappointed! So many times we’ve visited for tasty lunchtime salads or evening drinks and the service is always great. This time we also discovered the breakfasts and visited most days to... enjoy them! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. The staff are always friendly and leave you to relax, but regularly glance over to catch your eye if you need anything. A great relaxed service with no pressure of selling you more food and drinks like some places. We see the yachting club as a daily, if not twice daily, stop off and always enjoy it. More

This is a lovely friendly café bang in the centre of the harbour - had quite a few meals here and also stopped every day for a breather cup of coffee and tea. All staff very happy and efficient. Excellent service and very reasonably priced

Visited here after a great visit to the archaeology museum in Rhodes old town. Great choice of light and substantial snacks and drinks, with lovely views over the harbour. Very friendly. Prices very reasonable. Our only problem was that they burnt our daughters pizza, and... by the time they prepared and cooked another one, we had finished our meal and she was upset to be so hungry and left out. More

If you are looking for an amazing Cafe In Rhodes, Greece. Look no further. I have being to this cafe twice now and both times did not disappoint. The coffee and selection of food on the menu is amazing. I really enjoyed a hamburger and... French Fries. Also love the Baklava and Ice-cream. I definitely looking forward to having breakfast here in the next few days. It should be noted I am originally from Ireland, Lived in the United States Of America for over thirty years and served with the United States Marine Corps all over the world. The food here is excellent. We returned several times as the menu has many options for a light lunch or something more substantial. The clubhouse sandwich and pizza are both amazing. A very nice and professional staff. There is a large outdoor eating area as... well as indoor seating. Either area offers a lovely harbour view. More

Visited here regularly during our week long break in September. Bottled soft drinks so you don’t get the litre of flat soft drink that a lot of places try to give you. Very reasonably priced, in fact would go as far as to say cheap... on comparison to many places, and it is lovely to sit out in the sunshine or shade and pass an hour or two. Tried the club sandwich, massive portion, could easily have fed two. More

Stopped for a drink as convenient location but turns out a great find. Fab cafe, great prompt and polite service. He ordered a beer which came with crisps. I ordered a cold coffee and ice cream which came with iced water too. Both great. Cafe... clean and well observed COVID regulations etc. Definitely worth the money but didn’t think it expensive at all. More

First we went on a Sunday, unfortunately it was very busy, so we stayed just for drinks. The next day we went again after visiting the museum for lunch and it was a pleasant surprise. The pizzas were excellent and service flawless and smiling.

Nice cafe in Mandraki Harbour, friendly prompt service. Good clean toilets, which is something to appreciated in Rhodes Town I found. Prices are very reasonable and there is a good selection of food and drinks.

Ice cream and drinks were good and atmosphere great until we wanted to use the toilet. We had been sitting there for an hour and at this point they started to question if we are customers as the toilet was for customers only. Also after... we came out from the toilet they came back to complain to us again. Can't believe they can't remember their customers and even worse that one complaint was not enough but they came to ask again even I once already told them we just paid our bill. Such unprofessional service and a humiliating experience for our family. Can't recommend. More

Perfect position for a relaxed drink near the harbour in Rhodes Old Town. Tables inside, terrace at the back, few tables at the front. We had drinks only, but a food menu is available. Service was fast and helpful, price was reasonable for the area.

The Dirt: Michael Jordan buys new estate in Jupiter, and Kyma restaurant to open in West Palm Beach

Welcome to  The Dirt ! I’m real estate reporter  Kimberly Miller  with the latest developments in the sizzling market. 

In this week's real estate news, some wealthy folks are terribly vexed because they can't park their 164-foot yacht at their dock in North Palm Beach, and some normal folk are troubled that proposed affordable housing in Jupiter really isn't that affordable.

Ahhhh, Palm Beach County. From Ruinart champagne to the champagne of beers , we've got it all.

There's also breaking restaurant news and The Palm Beach Post covers restaurants better than Velveeta cheese on nachos. Or hollandaise on eggs benny, or flambéed orange sauce on crepes Suzette or, well, you get the picture. We write a lot about restaurants.

Senior business reporter Alexandra Clough was the first to report on a famous Greek restaurant coming to West Palm Beach, and there's also a story about why Planet Smoothie and Moe's Southwest Grill co-founder Martin Sprock may be abandoning plans for an eatery on West Palm Beach's acclaimed Antique Row.

A 164-foot yacht named Honey gets the cold shoulder in North Palm Beach

The very best part of this story is the revelation that we — little ol' Palm Beach County — have become a "mini-Monaco" for the wealthy mariners of the world who can handle a little chop in their 164-foot mega yachts. (I can't resist a "Wolf of Wall Street" clip) But once they get the yachts here here, they face a serious parking dilemma .

A North Palm Beach homeowner just wants to dock his yacht named Honey at his home. Trouble is, he has to "occupy" the home and since he's got several other homes in Palm Beach County and this one isn't his primary residence the definition of "occupy" seems to be the stumbling point.

It's a real Palm Beach dilemma. Too many homes and a mega yacht. Sigh.

Penthouse at The Bristol in West Palm Beach sells for $28 million

The ultra-luxury tower that some folks originally poo-pooed because it was in West Palm Beach instead of Palm Beach just had another record sale for a single-condominium at a recorded $27.99 million. The six-bedroom penthouse is one half of the 23rd floor of the swanky condo that sparkles like a beacon of affluence on the shores of the beleaguered Lake Worth Lagoon .

The seller was a company affiliated with a trust in the name of the late Boston developer Gerald S. Fineberg. The buyer's side is a mystery hidden in a trust that's sealed inside the lost treasure of Oak Island .

Michael Jordan buys another multi-million dollar home in the ultra-exclusive Bear's Club

Just a guess, but I'm thinking Michael Jordan can buy a home just about any-dang-where he pleases. For the first time last year, Jordan made the Forbes list of the country's 400 richest people , so to choose another property in the Bear's Club in Jupiter must say something about its exclusivity and high-end amenities.

His new 9,100-square-foot home has nothing on his custom-built estate nearby, but it did cost a recorded $16.5 million, which ain't too shabby.

New York's acclaimed Kyma Greek restaurant coming to West Palm Beach

If a renowned New York restaurant is going to open its first eatery outside of New York, where else is it going to go than Wall Street South? So, of course, Kyma, which offers traditional Greek taverna food, will be coming to downtown West Palm Beach by next year with ground-floor space AND a lively rooftop area.

I do so love a piece of baklava, but at $14-a-pop, it's a little above my budget. There's a nice happy-hour menu with lots of $10 "bites", which seems more doable for the non Wall Street Southerners .
