The stars of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” meet the foxes of Sydney.

Leonardo DiCaprio brought his co-star, Jonah Hill , along on a wild yacht ride through the harbor of the Australian city Saturday, with a gaggle of bikini-clad – and at least one that couldn’t bother to find her bathing suit top – beauties along for the party.

While DiCaprio, 38, is no stranger to debauchery, Hill was photographed looking bewildered chatting up a topless sunbather on the deck. And why not? The 29-year-old “Moneyball” star broke up with his longtime girlfriend, Ali Hoffman (Dustin’s daughter), in September and is a free agent in baseball terminology.

DiCaprio looked to have his sea-legs – lapping up the attention as a buxom brunette leaned in extra close. Later, he was spied getting chatty with a gorgeous blonde.

Beats the Titanic.

Though the British tabloids have speculated DiCaprio’s dating his other “Wolf of Wall Street” star Margot Robbie, there was no sign onboard of the 22-year-old bombshell.

Sydney, though, was just the first leg of a New Year’s jaunt for the stars, who were accompanied by other celebrities including “Django Unchained” star Jamie Foxx and “Gossip Girl” alum Chace Crawford, London’s Daily Mail reported.

Foxx, DiCaprio and Hill all worked together on “Django.”

The Hollywood heavyweights were scheduled to hit Las Vegas next to keep the party going.

Eventually, DiCaprio and Hill will have to return to the set of “The Wolf of Wall Street” to wrap filming. Director Martin Scorsese’s crime drama about securities fraud hits theaters later next year.

Leonardo DiCaprio is living it up in Miami, and was seen partying on Wednesday night on a Swedish billionaire’s yacht.

The “Titanic” star was spotted at biotech billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli’s floating bash aboard his $150 million superyacht, Vava II.

A source tells us DiCaprio — who split from Camila Morrone this summer, and has been linked to model Gigi Hadid — was hanging out with posse members Tobey Maguire and Helly Nahmad at the model-heavy bash hosted by his pal and de facto social director Richie Akiva.

We hear the party started after midnight and raged till 5a.m. with guests including Venus and Serena Williams, Jared Leto, art dealer Vito Schnabel, tennis pro Reilly Opelka, venture capitalist Vivi Nevo, diplomat Paolo Zampoli, and the requisite slew of “like one hundred” models.

One source told us, “There were like a hundred models. I have literally never seen more models in my life, no one was ‘normal’ looking. It was models, models, models.”

Another source tells us, “There was a group of girls that were wearing beaded dresses with nothing underneath at all, no underwear. You could see everything.”

A source tells us DiCaprio was heard chatting with Bertarelli — whose estimated worth is $8.5 billion , and whose family foundation focuses on marine conservation — about “saving the oceans.”

The “Great Gatsby” star has his own foundation and is an environmental activist.

Then again, a report in Fast Company last year stated, “A superyacht with a permanent crew, helicopter pad, submarines, and pools emits about 7,020 tons of CO2 a year, according to our calculations, making it by far the worst asset to own from an environmental standpoint.”

DiCaprio had previously attended a party on Bertarelli’s yacht over the summer in St. Tropez .

Earlier in the night, DiCaprio attended Sean Penn’s annual event for his Core charity at Soho Beach House, where “The Revenant” star auctioned off an art piece from his private collection.

The bash, which raised $1 million, brought out Diplo, Soleil Moon Frye, hotelier Alan Faena and Rande Gerber, and featured a performance by Wyclef Jean.

The private event took over the entire beach, leaving some Soho House members stuck indoors.

“There had to be 500 people outside trying to get in,” says a source. “There were so many cops and security on site for the event. It was like Fort Knox.”

DiCaprio has had a busy week: On Tuesday, he was spotted partying with “beautiful women” and friends in the VIP section at a party for Stone Island’s 40th anniversary at Miami’s RC Cola Plant.

Earlier the same day, he was spotted at Art Basel, eyeing edgy art .

The actor invited his The Wolf of Wall Street costar Jonah Hill for a little get together on a yacht and day of fun in the sun, while enjoying the company of numerous gorgeous women—some of whom chose to ditch their bikini tops—yesterday.

Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio may have featured in the popular film Titanic , but he certainly hasn't let that scare him away from spending some time on massive boats. In fact, Leo gets spotted quite frequently on luxury yachts . But, does the Oscar-winning actor actually own a megayacht, or a regular yacht, for that matter?

Turns out, he doesn't. He still enjoys the yachting lifestyle though, thanks to the variety of different yacht charter companies out there. Leo's no billionaire , but with his multimillion-dollar net worth, he could definitely go out and buy a decent-sized yacht. That said, renting one is a much more affordable route, especially since that avoids the cost of upkeep.

Back in 2012, Leo brought out Wolf of Wall Street co-star Jonah Hill to enjoy the experience of a rented luxury vessel. Of course, what's a yacht party without beautiful models? Hill was no doubt blown away by the whole experience, but it seemed like just another day to DiCaprio.

In 2013, it was reported that DiCaprio rented a yacht for a week for the cool price of $410,000. Considering the boat later sold for $42 million, it doesn't seem like too bad of a deal. That said, DiCaprio garnered even more attention after he rented the sixth-largest superyacht in the world. The Topaz is worth approximately $527 million, featuring eight different decks, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, movie theater, and two helicopter pads. Apparently, Leo brought 21 of his closest millionaire friends along to enjoy the World Cup. Eventually, they ditched the yacht for a private jet straight to Rio de Janeiro in order to catch the kick off in Brazil.

In 2020, pictures obtained by Page Six, and later posted all over social media, showed DiCaprio and his girlfriend Camila Morrone heading out on a yacht to celebrate her 23rd birthday. Other stars such as Olympic snowboarder Shaun White and actors Kevin Connolly and Lukas Haas were in attendance as they sailed toward Malibu to enjoy some fun in the sun.

Now, Leo has actually been called out a few times by fans. He's a strong advocate for the environment and climate change, but his words seem to have less of an impact the more he gets spotted on these massive yachts. They don't exactly have the smallest carbon footprint, but this could also act as part of the reason that he doesn't personally own one.

Regardless, Leonardo DiCaprio undoubtedly loves living the superyacht life from time to time. The guy's had a wildly successful career, so I don't blame him for enjoying some of the finer things in life. I'm just going to go ahead and add "attending a DiCaprio yacht party" to my bucket list.

Some new images from behind the scenes of director Martin Scorsese ’s new film The Wolf of Wall Street have landed online.  Based on the memoir of  Jordan Belfort , the stranger-than-fiction film stars  Leonardo DiCaprio  as a hard-partying, drug-addicted stockbroker who was indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering and served a 22-month federal prison stretch.  Scorsese is tackling a darkly comic tone for the pic, which chronicles the atmosphere of excess that populated the 1990s Wall Street world.  These images provide a neat glimpse at the filmmaker’s process, and are accompanied by a thoroughly entertaining profile of the pic that includes comments from DiCaprio, Scorsese, and co-star Jonah Hill about the film's explicit depiction of everything from drug trips to orgies on a 747 plane.

Speaking with Vulture as part of a lengthy (and fascinating) profile, DiCaprio said that he developed a pretty close relationship with his real-life counterpart:

DiCaprio spent weeks with Belfort. “I wanted a close relationship with him so that I could weave intimate details into the movie,” he says, “things that weren’t in the book. I was kind of the middleman between him and Marty, and I would bring pages of notes from my meetings with Jordan—things like this insane orgy on a 747 going to Vegas, chimpanzees in diapers that would skate through the Stratton offices, very intimate stuff about his relationships with women—and Marty was game to try everything. His approach was essentially to put everything onscreen and see what we responded to. It was old-school, really independent filmmaking on a larger scale.”

(When I want to relax, I walk around the block and get a Big Gulp from 7/11. But, alas, this isn’t about me, and I doubt Leonardo DiCaprio drinks Big Gulps from 7/11.)

The actor's upcoming movie is based on David Grann’s popular nonfiction book, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI . DiCaprio stars in the project alongside Robert DeNiro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and Lily Gladstone. The crime drama follows a series of murders that affect the indigenous Osage Nation after oil is found on their land. When more and more people go missing, the FBI swoops in to investigate.

Killers of the Flower Moon will premiere in theaters on October 2. That gives good ol’ Leo at least a few more months to relax before hopping back into movie-star mode. I, for one, can’t wait to see what he does next.

How Accurate Is The Wolf of Wall Street ?

For  The Wolf of Wall Street , his latest collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese forewent his signature voiceover style in favor of more direct address: Throughout the movie, DiCaprio, playing the lupine financial huckster Jordan Belfort, looks into the camera and speaks right to the audience. Terence Winter, who wrote the screenplay, explains the use of the technique thusly: “ You are being sold the Jordan Belfort story by Jordan Belfort , and he is a very unreliable narrator.”

It’s important to keep that in mind if you decide to dig into the fact and fiction of the film.  The Wolf of Wall Street  is quite faithful to the book by Belfort that it’s based on —though there are differences; the key ones are enumerated below. But how faithful is that book to reality?

It can be hard to tell, especially since some of its more outlandish tales turn out to be true. Nonetheless, below is an attempt to suss out the true-to-life from the merely true-to-Belfort in the film version of his story.

The broad outlines of Belfort’s story are faithfully rendered by the film: A talented but struggling salesman from Long Island, he got a job at venerable investment firm L.F. Rothschild, then was laid off after Black Monday . He went to work at Investors Center, a penny stock house, and a year later opened “ a franchise of Stratton Securities , a minor league broker-dealer,” in “a friend’s car dealership in Queens.” He and his partner earned enough to buy out Stratton and form Stratton Oakmont, which he built into one of the largest over-the-counter brokerage firms in the country. (As in the movie, he hired some old friends .) He did an enormous amount of drugs—including, yes, Lemmon 714s —employed the services of countless prostitutes, and eventually went to prison for the pump-and-dump schemes that made him rich.

Much of DiCaprio’s dialogue comes straight from Belfort’s book, as do nearly all of the hard-to-believe misadventures: landing the helicopter on his lawn while stoned, crashing his car while severely high on Quaaludes, insisting that the captain of his massive yacht sail through choppy waters only to have the boat capsize and then get rescued by the Italian navy. Some of these stories are difficult to verify, but, for what it’s worth, the FBI agent who investigated Belfort told the New York Times , “I tracked this guy for ten years, and everything he wrote is true .” (Even  the yacht story checks out .) As for the much discussed tossing of little people, shown at the beginning of the movie: Belfort’s second-in-command says “ we never abused [or threw] the midgets in the office ; we were friendly to them.” That same former exec says there were never any animals in the office, let alone a chimpanzee, and he says that no one called Belfort “the Wolf.” We know, at least, that the nickname was not coined by a Forbes writer . But, for the most part, it’s  Belfort’s word  against his. 

As far as I can tell, Belfort is not a particular advocate of “ sell me this pen ,” a bit of sales interview role-playing that has been around for years . Another minor but notable difference between movie and reality: Belfort, unlike DiCaprio, is a short man, and multiple acquaintances have suggested that his lust for money, power, and attention are evidence of a Napoleon complex . As for the fidelity of DiCaprio’s portrayal otherwise, there are many videos of Belfort you can watch online, including one or two of Stratton Oakmont company parties .

Danny Porush/Donnie Azoff (Jonah Hill)

The case of Donnie Azoff (Jonah Hill) is more complicated. For one thing, Azoff is a fictional name, and the character is sometimes described as a composite. His story closely matches that of Danny Porush—but Porush himself has disputed some of the details . Here are the basic facts: Porush lived in Belfort’s building, and he went to work as a trainee under Belfort before Stratton Oakmont. As History vs. Hollywood notes, he did not meet Belfort in a restaurant ; they were introduced by Porush’s wife (and yes,  she was his cousin ; they have since divorced). He has admitted to eating a live goldfish that belonged to a Stratton employee, as depicted in the memoir and the movie, but denies the  three-way with Belfort and a teenaged employee .

Porush was indeed a childhood friend of Steve Madden’s, and the initial public offering for that women’s shoe company was the biggest bit of business Stratton Oakmont ever did. Madden, like Porush and Belfort, served time in prison for participating in the Stratton scheme.

The names of Belfort’s wives were also changed for the film. Belfort divorced Denise Lombardo, called Teresa in the movie, after meeting Nadine Caridi at a Stratton Oakmont party . Caridi, called Naomi and played by Margot Robbie, was a model who had appeared in beer commercials; in the book, Befort calls her “the Miller Lite girl.” (You can see one of her ads below.) In both the book and the movie Belfort calls her the Duchess of Bay Ridge (or just the Duchess, for short), because she was born in England but grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She really did have an English aunt (named Patricia, not Emma) who smuggled money into Switzerland on Belfort’s behalf, and who died while Belfort’s money was still in Swiss banks. (Belfort also had a drug-dealing friend with Swiss in-laws who did much of the smuggling—and that friend was later arrested after a botched money hand-off with Porush , just as we see in the movie.)

The scene in which Naomi spreads her legs open and tells Jordan he won’t be getting sex any time soon , only to learn that she is in full view of a security camera, is taken right from the book—as is the fight in which she throws water at her husband repeatedly. Belfort acknowledges hitting his wife in the memoir; he says he kicked her down the stairs. He also threatened to take their daughter away, putting her in the car with him and then crashing it into a pillar on their property. He was high.

Belfort and Caridi have since divorced.

The L.F. Rothschild trader who takes Jordan to lunch and tells him that cocaine and masturbation are the keys to success as a stockbroker is based on a real person whose name is not changed in the movie or the book. Mark Hanna has told his own version of the story on YouTube , and he does not seem to dispute the substance of Belfort’s account. (The lunch scene in the film combines two conversations from the memoir, using nearly identical dialogue.) Hanna himself was later convicted of stock fraud . He did not pound his chest and hum rhythmically, as McConaughey does so memorably in the movie; that flourish is based on an acting exercise that McConaughey likes to do , and was, according to the movie’s press notes, incorporated into the film after DiCaprio and Scorsese noticed the actor doing it on set.

Patrick Denham is another made-up name, but there really was an FBI agent who followed Belfort closely for years: Gregory Coleman. He told CNBC in 2007 that he was struck by the “ blatantness ” of Belfort’s financial crimes. As far as I can tell, they did not meet on Belfort’s yacht, as the movie suggests ; in the book, Belfort first meets Coleman when the FBI arrives to arrest Belfort at his home. (The arrest did not take place while Belfort filmed an infomercial—that’s a bit of poetic license on Scorsese’s part.)

The Aftermath After his arrest and indictment, Belfort cooperated with the FBI. In the film, Jordan, while wearing a wire, passes a note to Donnie telling him not to incriminate himself. Belfort did not pass such a note to Porush, but, in his second book, Catching the Wolf of Wall Street , he claims to have done just this for his friend Dave Beall . He ultimately served 22 months in prison and was ordered to pay over $100 million in restitution to his victims ( which he has apparently failed to do ). As the film depicts, he became a motivational speaker after leaving prison; at the seminar in the movie, DiCaprio as Jordan is introduced by the real Jordan Belfort (and, in real life, the actor has filmed a testimonial for Belfort ). Belfort is not the only real-life participant to show up in the movie: A private investigator that Belfort employed, Richard “Bo” Dietl, is also in the film; he plays himself.

For Leonardo DiCaprio, a Yacht for All Seasons

There are few relationships like the one between man and yacht. They go together like peas and carrots. Like Rodgers and Hammerstein. Like a person capable of sinking into the briny deep and a vehicle designed not to.

Leonardo DiCaprio is such a man. He’s had many a relationship with a yacht. Well, not one yacht, but yachts . He’s boarded countless numbers of them over his lifetime, annually embarking on this one or that one, parked here in a harbor, or out there in the sea, where only long lenses and the Coast Guard can find him. He yachts with friends and he yachts with girlfriends. He yachts before the Oscars and after the Oscars. He yachts in times of plenty and yachts during a pandemic. It’s as if he needs to counter the reputation of Jack Dawson, who famously died in the North Atlantic on a piece of shiplap so many years ago. It’s his life’s work. See me here once again on this ship that is not sinking, he seems to say. This is the real me. This is who I am.

And so it’s not a terrible shock or surprise that when he celebrated his girlfriend Camila Morrone’s 23rd birthday on Friday, it was on a big boat. Revelers older and younger joined in— Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Kevin Connolly, and Lukas Haas were all there. It was a cowboy-themed party apparently, according to Page Six , which has all the photos you need. The party could have also been hat themed—everybody wears a hat—because some were wearing baseball caps and others were wearing more flat-brimmed varieties and still others wore the cowboy hat. DiCaprio is a man who knows himself, knows what he likes, and so we see him this way consistently out with his young girlfriend on a yacht and wearing a hat.

And you know what: he appeared to be the only one in the group wearing a mask. The man has earned a sense of precaution, perhaps. He knows what can go wrong on a boat. He’s seen enough of them in his life.

Martin Scorsese tackles excess with excess in The Wolf Of Wall Street

“This is obscene,” stammers Max Belfort (Rob Reiner) upon first glimpse of his son’s empire, the spacious Long Island office where Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his team of cold-calling brokers work and play. “Obscene,” as it turns out, is practically a polite euphemism for how these crooks live—for the lucrative swindle they pull on their clueless clients, and for the endless orgies of drugs and hookers that otherwise occupy their time. There’s a lot of sense in Martin Scorsese, our premier cinematic authority on American sin, bringing this real-life tale of greed and hedonism to the screen. But who could have predicted that he’d turn it into a flat-out comedy , one as boldly excessive as the lives it chronicles?

At three hours, The Wolf Of Wall Street is Scorsese’s longest movie (barely edging out Casino ). It’s also his crassest, his loudest, maybe his funniest—an aggressively broad satire of American ambition, the full meal to which Spring Breakers , Pain & Gain , and The Bling Ring were merely appetizers. Such reckless indulgence provides the director his own excuse to indulge, and Wolf pushes his showboating stylistic tics and love for loutish behavior to the edge of their acceptable limits. But there’s a cracked logic, a genius almost, to the film’s amped-up irreverence. Maybe laughter isn’t just the best medicine, but the only sensible response to this much brazen amorality.

From Travis Bickle to Jake La Motta to the Italian and Irish gangsters of his crime epics, Scorsese has always been hooked on bad boys. And Belfort, the founder of shady brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, may be the baddest of them all. No, he never murders anyone (though he comes close at least once), but in his ruthless consumption—his endless need for more fixes, more women, more everything —he may be the most unscrupulous character Marty’s ever built a movie around. Introduced as a green stockbroker devoted to actually making his clients money (the naïveté!), Belfort quickly falls under the influence of a slick superior (Matthew McConaughey). In the first of many long, baggy dialogue scenes, this mentor figure initiates his young protégé into the pack. Suitably inspired, Belfort masters the sucker sell, later starting his own firm and surrounding himself with a posse of moldable lowlifes. Stratton Oakmont would in real life become one of the largest brokerage houses in the country, through both fraud and bullying sales tactics. (It was the inspiration for Boiler Room , which looks like an Ingmar Bergman film compared to this mad opus.)

The Wolf Of Wall Street finds Scorsese slipping back into Goodfellas and Casino mode, using Belfort’s revealing autobiography as the template for another sprawling true-crime saga. But while the years-spanning narrative and chronic voice-over recall those earlier hits, Wolf is less interested in the nitty gritty of Belfort’s bad business than in his monstrous ego and appetites. Stringing together an endless series of blow-out parties, the film occasionally approaches the barbed insanity of William Klein’s Mr. Freedom , especially when Belfort is pumping up his army of loyal employees. Scorsese seems pumped, too: His film kicks down the fourth wall, takes fevered digressions (like a short history of the Quaalude), and features a mind-reading showdown between Belfort and a sneaky Swiss banker (Jean Dujardin, from The Artist ). Any doubt that this is a capital-C comedy basically evaporates the moment Scorsese cuts to the protagonist and his sexpot second wife (Margot Robbie) literally screwing on a bed of money.

As in The Departed , there’s the occasional sense that Scorsese should have reined in his actors a little more. (Though Jonah Hill, hilarious as the right-hand degenerate, basically masters the art of the riff.) What keeps Wolf together, even when it’s threatening to collapse under the weight of too many improvisational conversations or destructive drug trips, is the actor in the lead. Proving yet again that he does his best work under Marty’s direction, DiCaprio channels all of his star power—the heartthrob charisma he once resisted, in the wake of Titanic ’s success—into this vacuous anti-hero. It’s a performance that plays brilliantly on his celebrity and his ageless good looks, while also building to an early-Pacino-like intensity during the mighty motivational speeches. The scene on a yacht, in which Belfort attempts to bribe the FBI agent (Kyle Chandler) watching his every move, is a triumph of verbal warfare. And in the movie’s deliriously funny highpoint, Belfort misjudges the potency of some ancient Quaaludes, his whole body giving out on him at a moment of urgent crisis. DiCaprio’s pathetic, spirited attempts to crawl to his car reveal an untapped gift for physical comedy.

There’s no shame in being repelled by all of this relentless debauchery, especially considering the guilty, gleeful pleasure Scorsese—ever the conflicted Catholic—seems to take in it. (Scenes in which the brokers beat the shit out of Belfort’s gay butler, or discuss the logistics of “midget tossing,” are much too humorous to qualify as disapproving.) But as far back as Taxi Driver , which looks in the wrong light like an endorsement of vigilante justice, Scorsese has approached indefensible people with a mixture of fascination and disgust. The Wolf Of Wall Street just locates a black, absurd humor in that comingling of feelings. Anyway, it’s hard to see anything celebratory in the film’s Goodfellas -style upshot, exemplified by Belfort’s insistence that “There are no friends on Wall Street.” In the end, he’s more rodent than canine, but The Rat Of Wolf Street just doesn’t have the same ring.

We all know that Leonardo DiCaprio is this generation's Jack Nicholson when it comes to playing the field with young, attractive women.

But on Saturday, the 38-year-old lothario decided to treat his Django Unchained co-star (and new BFF) Jonah Hill to a wild yacht party in Sydney, and the antics left Hill, 29, blushing.

The older man negotiated the many scantily-clad women with ease and didn't bat an eyelid as some of the girls got a bit wild and started stripping their tops off.

Leo lapped it up as women flocked to him; one beauty even plonked herself on his knee and in doing so offered up a nice view of her impressive cleavage.

But the Titanic star was unruffled, unlike Hill - who recently came out of a long-term relationship  with Dustin Hoffman's daughter Ali, looked shell-shocked by the experience.

In fact, when one party-goer exposed her breasts right in front of him... the Moneyball star looked genuinely shocked.

The unlikely pair were spotted hitching a ride on a luxury yacht together on Friday afternoon in Sydney.

The pair were spotted boarding the yacht yesterday, but Leo carried a bag that suggested the pair are making their headquarters on dry land.

The carrier seemed to have 'The Darling' printed on it, which could be the name of the hotel Leo and Jonah were staying at, so may well have been filled up with a few complimentary toiletries to take on the yacht, just in case there's a moisturising emergency.

The hotel, conveniently offers l uxury hotel rooms and stunning views from th e Sydney Harbour Bridge, so it's the perfect location for a quick boating trip.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes: Leo loves a girl with flaxen hair; even just for a chat as he's rumoured to be dating Neighbours star Margot Robbie

As the ship embarked on its scenic route which offered sights like the world famous Sydney Opera House, Leo was spotted chatting to a gaggle of girls.

Whether they had arrived with or separately from the actors isn't known, but they no doubt enjoyed the rest of the boat trip in close proximity.

However as the Wolf On Wolf Street star is rumoured to be dating former Neighbour's actress Margot Robbie - they met on the New York set of the aforementioned movie - maybe the female company was more for Jonah's benefit.

Their presence in Sydney is reported to be part of a New Year's party to rival any other.

A slew of celebrities - including Jamie Foxx, Chace Crawford and DJ Samantha Ronson - flew into Sydney with Leo on Friday, to welcome in 2013 in Sydney before heading back to the U.S, more specifically, Las Vegas for round two of New year antics.

The Wolf of Wall Street Sunglasses Scream Money and Success

The yachts don't hurt the image, mind you.

The Wolf of Wall Street is one of the most stylish films of the last few years. In amongst all the corruption and excess is a seriously cool 80’s wardrobe full of sharp tailoring, power ties, and slick haircuts.

The sunglasses in The Wolf of Wall Street also really stand out; particularly the Ray-Bans worn by Leonardo DiCaprio and the two-tone aviators worn by Jonah Hill. Read on to discover the exact sunglasses that Leo wears in the movie.

The Best Sunglasses from the Wolf of Wall Street Sunglasses

Leonardo DiCapri wears two standout pairs of sunglasses in The Wolf of Wall Street: Ray-Ban 4177 and Ray-Ban Original Wayfarers. Both pairs are notable due to their large lenses and acetate tortoiseshell frames.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Ray-Ban 4147

Leo wears the Ray-Ban 4147 (above) during a yacht scene. The glasses have an acetate tortoiseshell frame that is slightly squarer than the more common Wayfarers he wears at other points in the movie. The frame is large and almost reminiscent of aviator sunglasses .

Despite coming at a time in the movie when everything is beginning to go wrong for Jordan Belfort, DiCaprio still manages to look like he’s holding everything together by coming up with what is perhaps the wardrobe highlight of the movie.

He pairs the glasses, with a pastel-pink suit with huge collars. It’s a look you need a certain swagger to pull-off; luckily DiCaprio (and Belfort) have that in spades.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer

The Ray-Ban 4147 isn’t the only Ray-Ban DiCaprio wears. In an earlier scene, he combines a pair of Ray-Ban Original Wayfarers with a crisp white Ralph Lauren polo-shirt for a look that on paper appears quite simple but on the big screen, still manages to ooze wealth and success (pictured above).

While we often associate Wayfarers with a more disheveled rock-star look, the sharp angles and metal detailing on the hinges fit right in with Leo’s yuppie-chic outfit; once again proving that Wayfarers are one of the most adaptable styles of glasses out there.

Jonah Hill’s Two-Tone Aviators

Finally, we come to the sunglasses Jonah Hill wears in The Wolf of Wall Street. The glasses Hill wears are two-tone aviators. He pairs them with a stripey pastel shirt and an orange sweater tied over his shoulders for what we can only describe as the most preppy look we’ve ever seen.

The exact glasses he wears have proven difficult to identify. We reckon these two-tone shades from Gucci come pretty close, however.

We also have to give a special shoutout to the round tortoiseshell prescription specs Jonah Hill wears in other parts of the movie. They are an outstanding choice of eyewear.

In 2013 Leonardo paid $410,000 to rent a yacht for a week. The ship was on sale for $42 million , but he did not splurge to buy the boat for himself.

Leonardo was later accompanied by 21 of his closest millionaire friends aboard the Topaz in 2018. They partied and watched the 2018 World Cup from the enormous yacht. 

Paparazzi photos show that Leonardo DiCaprio’s yacht parties are just what one would expect from a group of famous and wealthy individuals. The celebrities gather to drink, dance, and get wild like anyone else – their celebrations just happen to occur on some of the most expensive ships in the world.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a strong advocate for the environment, yet his yachts produce high carbon emissions . The internet is swamped with social media posts criticizing his lavish lifestyle. Many people claim that his activism is diminished if he does not live by his preaching.

Meanwhile, Leonardo’s fans give him a pass to enjoy his wealth in occasional luxury. Yachts are not good for the environment, but his infrequent rentals make him no worse than any other celebrity. 

Although Leonardo DiCaprio’s yacht parties are famously extravagant, he has never bought his own yacht. He certainly has enough money to purchase one of the ships he intermittently borrows for parties. Maybe Leonardo’s occasional yacht parties are not the worst thing for the environment since he still does not travel the world on his own yacht.
