The HABER 800C4, winner of the "Yacht of the Year award” of the magazin „Żagle” (Sails) - thanks to a unique solution on a global scale - a self steering sailing-yacht. The C4 four center boards system is an ideal instrument for any crew, also for single hand sailors, - regardless of their sailing experience. This system allows you to achieve excellent course stability - i.e. self-steering - on almost any course, regardless of wind strength and wave size (when electronic autopilots give up, especially in stormy conditions).

C4 is a self-steering system that does not require electrical power and does not force the yacht to hold the course with the helm as a helmsman or autopilot does. The system allows the yacht to freely and fully cooperate with the wind and the waves.

The C4 system works on the basis of the principles of physics regarding the movement of a sailing yacht described by Janusz Konkol. They explain when and why the boat will luff up or fall off, and when it wants to stay on course. Four center boards (one front-, two aft- and one center board) use these principles and make the HABER 800C4 a yacht that will cooperate with every conscious sailor.

When using the front center board in the HABER 800C4 version, a gaff cutter, the yacht is able to sail close to the wind with 3 sails (including foresail and genoa) set at the same time.

Setting the yacht for self-steering takes from several secands to several dozen seconds. To learn and understand how the C4 system works, 2 days of practice are enough. More on this topic can be found in the "Innovation solutions" tab.

The Haber 800 is a 28.87ft gaffhead sloop designed by Janusz Konkol/Henryk Brylski and built in fiberglass by Haber Yachts since 2005.

The Haber 800 is a light sailboat which is a good performer. It is not stiff and has a good righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a day-boat.

The bigest Haber is created for sailsmen who regard sailing as style of spending free time, not the status symbol. Thanks to interior layout with separated fore cabin and additional cabinets, harmonious below-deck offers surprising quantity of space and sufficient comfort for non too-demanded. Such layout managed to fit into, still restricted, dimensions by transformation saloon´s set in 3 additional berths. So total of 5 berths, separate toilet room, relatively voluminous galley, saloon headroom of 1,90 m, and an inboard diesel engine between 5 and 16 hp makes the Haber 800 suitable for almost any situation. Neither sailing performances are neglected (theoretical speed is 6.55 kn), which is confirmed by the gaff sail which returns in the mode, as well as by solid deck equipment. To a unique mechanism, the mast can be lowered by one person alone in a few minutes. The fin keel is folding which with draft changing enables sailing in a very shallow waters. The total beam which does not go over 2,5m and standard equipped sailboat´s weight of 2.5 t enables her transport on the trailer. Like a gaff sloop, Haber 800 is built according to the standards of the Germanischer Lloyd and is certified to the CE-category C (coastal waters) and is being certified to the CE-category B (sea waters). the company History

at first glance portfolio Konkola Janusz (Janusz Konkol) , Polish designer, ideologist and founder of Haber Yachts, marvel at the diversity of his ideas and interests.

it All started in 1991 when 50 kilometers from gdańsk in place Novo Miasto Lubawskie was founded shipyard. The first boat was launched in 1993. For 15 years, the financial stability of the company was maintained by the supply motor boats to the us market through a partner company Roth Bilt Boats . This allowed to develop several areas of production based on original design solutions. By the standards of the industry, the shipyard is small, for Haber Yachts employs about 50 people.

Manufacturing

Despite its small size, the company has almost closed cycle of production of composite and wooden hulls, metal products and elements of the mast.

At the shipyard used technology of manual lamination of hulls and of laying gelcoat with computer control of temperature and time regimes. Before launching all buildings are tested for air tightness and the quality of the connection layers in a special tank.

the Lineup Haber is quite wide. The company produces motor and sailing boats up to 10 m of laminated fiberglass and wood. The line includes motor boats semi-displacement and planing boats >with a closed interior, with the Central console, and also >runabout. Haber Boats have unique patented technology. Most interesting know-how 4-sortova balance system for sailing yachts. Dynamically changing the position of the centre of lateral resistance, it is possible to stabilize the boat at a given rate, reducing the resistance of the rudder thread. The design allows you to keep the boat at a predetermined rate by adjusting the immersion level of Vertov depending on the angle to the wind and roll, without the use of autopilot. Models that use this principle are largely self-governing, allowing to perform all the maneuvers alone and in all weather conditions.

Chertami also have some semi-displacement boats, which improves seaworthiness, while maintaining the possibility of movement in shallow water.

Another feature of sailing ships Haber is the use of advanced gateleg weapons, allowing you to control the sails the simple elements of the rigging and also easy to install and remove the mast.
