Number 13 encourages a business casual dress code. However, because we support the island lifestyle, short sleeves and shorts are allowed. Gentleman cannot enter the restaurant with sleeveless shirts or backwards ball caps and ladies if you’re wearing swimwear apparel, a modest cover-up is required. All clothing must be dry.

On the Terrace, a casual dress code is encouraged. Swimwear apparel is allowed. However, gentleman must wear a shirt at all times and ladies must wear a modest cover-up. Footwear is required for safety purposes and restrooms are available outside of the restaurant if necessary.

I've been a regular patron at Marina Bar and Grill for several years. During my visit on Thursday May 21st.I experienced what I refer to the "Cloak of Invisiblity"! I walked in and made eye contact with several of the staff members. I sat down... and waited , several staff looked at me directly . It was twenty minutes before anyone finally came to see if I anyone had taken my order? The restaurant is at 25% seating capacity! My big issue is the lack of prompt customer service. The food was great. Steak cooked perfectly. I wish Tiffany Seelback was still employed there to teach the current waitstaff how to be more aware of new arrivals into the establishment. It is the locals that patronise places like MBG during the "Off-Season" that keep $$$ flowing into the establishment. More

Had not visited in about a year. Was very happy with upstairs seating and menu. Had fried beer batter shrimp with a salad and fries. Really good. The staff are awesome. Renea, bar manager, Servers John and Abrena were very nice. Restroom was clean and... hand sanitizer was available. More

My husband and I with friends really loved this place ! Beautiful view surrounded by water. Boats can dock and go right in. Staff was great! Food and pricing was even better.Looking forward to trying out there Spring menu!

Went there today after our fishing trip and it was clean and service was good. We ordered our food Android of us got food and our daughter had to wait until we were all done e to get her chicken strip basket to go because... they forgot to order it when they continually assured us it was coming 3 different times. Our food was poorly made. The Scottish authentic haddock and chips were an embarrassment to the Scotland country. The fry oil must be old and burnt because the batter was nasty and oily. It tasted like it was spicy and not fresh frozen fish at all. Also in Scotland they have chips or basically fat French fires and they give you waffle fries! My husband is from Scotland born and raised and he refused to eat it after two bites. Change your oil and change your claim of having authentic anything. More

Out of the way bar/grill with very average food. Waitress is nice, but she’s serving food that seems to have been bought at Sam’s Club. Nice setting for a sunset, but stick to the alcohol as the food is not good.

Stopped by for dinner. Fish & chips were good: large and nicely spiced. The server was friendly and helpful. But there is no handicapped parking at all that I could find. And you have to climb two stories of stairs to get there. When I... got back to my car, my legs were sore and shaking. That does not make for a good dining experience. Apparently the Yacht Club and its lessees have not heard of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I really don't like that. More

Visited with a large group and enjoyed the ourdoor setting. They let us pull two picnic tables together in the shade and our group of 11 settled in. My husband, a friend and I ordered first. We were served last. Drinks and food items came... at odd intervals, delivered by a very personable server. The menu is extremely limited. My hamburger was one of the poorest I've ever had. The patty was a big, uneven lump of meat that seemed to me to be about 90% lean ground beef, unseasoned and cooked into a big, dry lump. The tomato slice was too thick, the lettuce scrappy, no onion or pickle. The only good thing about it was the soft, tasty potato bun. The steak fries were really good. I took a bite of a friend's fried fish. The portion was huge. The batter tasted of stale oil. I enjoyed the location. Despite the uneven way our food arrived, our server was pleasant and treated us well. I would go back only for a group get together, but I would order the steak fries and nothing else. For the quality, the food was way over-priced. More

This place has pretty good food. Massive portion of fish. If you get that dish. But all the dishes are pretty fair. Overall it's really just a place for some locals to come hang out and have a drink or two,and some food. I would... not recommend somebody from out of town coming to Galveston, for the first time, to come visit this place. You might be sorely disappointed. But if fits just what we need here locally. The sunsets can't be beat. And the ship traffic in the harbor is nice to look at. The staff is very friendly. the owner is always on site. You just got be open-minded and realize where you are and what you're dealing with. We've never had a bad experience. It's just a little Coastal getaway. 😎 More

While the food, staff and ambiance are still worth a visit, we will not be going back. For some reason we were told that management changed their wine selections to only Barefoot Wine. As ones who enjoyed wine with lunch or dinner at the Marina... Bar & Grill, we were sorely disappointed this past week when the wine selection was downgraded. If we wanted to drink Barefoot Wines, we would go to IHOP! Owners need to seriously rethink this decision. More

This is not a family-friendly place. Had a drunk employees repeatedly try to encourage my four year old daughter to play a game called butt darts after she set a cup in the middle of the restaurant and showed her how to play. I repeatedly... told this lady to leave us alone and let us eat our meal. I don't know anywhere where it is appropriate for a four year old child 2 shove a quarter up their butt and walk it over a cup and drop it in. The employee was not reprimanded for this which only makes me believe that the management is okay and condone this Behavior. Yesterday I went there around 3:00 p.m. after a fishing charter because I was told this is a good place to get your Fresh Catch cooked for you. I got one fillet grilled and one blackened and they both taste the same. Extremely Bland. The drink I ordered was terrible so after the first sip I left it there. I went downstairs after a terrible meal and ordered a beer only to have a regular who had been over-served sit down next to me and try to talk to me. I ignored him so he then asked me what's wrong no speak English? What speak Mexican? His girlfriend told him to stop and Drug him out of there. I noticed the owner Paul Murdock outside so I tried to inform him of the situation. He seemed intoxicated his self and told me he didn't care he just wanted everybody to leave. This is a man who has made racial slurs to me in the past but I took as a joke but my eyes are open now and see this is who he is and this is what he allows to happen in his place of business. if you are not a regular and a constant source of income you are expendable. Definitely do not recommend this has a place to take your family especially if you have little ones due to the drunkenness of the management and customers. Definitely better places on the island to take your family. More

This is a great place for an afternoon of kicking back and listening to live music. Just make sure you dress to be outside, because it can be stifling hot. The menu is mostly fried food, so if you are okay with that, you'll find... plenty to eat. I recommend just snacking here, drinking here, and enjoying the entertainment. Save your "meals" for a restaurant with more healthy food. More

This place has good food. They're always doing some kind of boil outside. The owner is a very friendly fellow.And all the folks that work for him are super nice and attentive.

Stopped by one afternoon on a short visit to Galveston from Houston. The view is so relaxing and refreshing - you get to see the boats at the Marina and a view of the bay area. The shrimp po-boy sandwich was really good with a... unique sauce and amazing crispy steak French fries. The staff is super friendly too! Definitely a go back spot to take friends. More

The captain on our fishing boat told us we could get our fish that we had just caught cooked at Marina Bar and Grill and we did and it was amazing we got to choose our batter and they fried our fish and the service... was great and the food was awesome! More

Romantic place to bring that special person. Overlooking the water. You will see lots of boats, ships, animal life. Food here is excellent. Service and setting is great.

All this is great but a real test of how good a restaurant is how they handle issues when they arise. My wife's order came out and she just didn't care for the fish she had. We called the waiter over and spoke with him and he sent the manager over. The manager recommended another dish and she had it out to us within five minutes. She was very professional friendly, and generally cared about our experience. She also bought us a beautiful dessert. We wanted nice and put on our clean jeans and shirts with buttons to "fancy up". Good thing. Riondo's oozes upscale and class but caters to a crowd fresh off the strand. The old building was charming and comfortably decorated and our waiter worked hard to make us feel special. We started with the prosciutto cheese bread which arrived at our table hot and fresh with oozing cheese and pieces of ham. It was good and enjoyable but at the end of the day a ham and cheese sandwich upgraded but not worth the price. My son had the shrimp scampi and it was resplendent with shrimp. I opted for the angry scallops and MK ordered lasagna. The angry scallops were are on the plate. The sweetness of the scallops were countered by the chili and berry jam that topped them. Great experience with top notch facilities. Boat ramp was a little crowded and took 45 minutes to get the boat launched. Otherwise problem free. We were able to get ice/snack/bait/fuel all in one place. Had a great trip on the water and caught yellowfin until my arms wouldn't move. I'm not kidding, the fish boxes were all full and we had to start just throwing them on the deck of the boat!

incompetent and rude front office staff, has consistently lost information on our file. new "security" improvements are easily bypasses and failed to incorporate current clientele with cards. frustrating to deal with.

Bad boat ramp, no parking closer than a mile. Have to park at a lot 4 blocks down and be charged for using it.

First of all they are extremely rude the place is filthy and the bathrooms are disgusting- worse than any portapody I've ever been in - do not use them under any circumstances

Do not, I mean, do not rent a pontoon boat from this marina. At first they accommodated us and seemed friendly. We set up an afternoon pontoon rental to go explore and fish. Upon arrival they put us in a room to watch a safety video, which was a JOKE in itself. The safety video was about North Carolina boat laws (ummmmm last I checked, we live Texas.) The lady said North Carolina boat laws are the same, but in my opinion, spend a couple of bucks and purchase a texas safety video. On top of that, there were huge dead roaches on the ground in the little room where we were placed to watch the video (I stood outside the room.) Once we completed the video we walked outside to the boat. All seemed ok until we arrived to our boat. The boat was filthy and I mean disgustingly dirty. There was dirt all over the seats and floor. I looked at the lady and asked her why the boy was so dirty. She stated, "I'm the only person working here and I wasn't able to clean it!" Are you kidding me?! We're paying over $400 to rent a filthy boat?! I mean it was so dirty we couldn't even sit on the seats. I asked her for wet clothes so we could personally clean the boat. She literally searched for one cloth, brought it back, and handed it to me. She refused to clean the boat. We had to personally clean all the seats ourselves. I've never in my whole time of ever renting boats have ever experienced something so unprofessional and dirty. The only reason I didn't cancel: we had family in town from midland, Texas and we drove an hour and half to rent the boat. There's no way we drove that distance not to get on the water. Once we finally were able to leave the marina the boat barely ran. I worked so hard to turn the steering wheel to the left and right throughout the rental. Plain and simple....they should not be able to rent unsafe boats to potential renters. Be aware....the boats are old and unkept. Save your money and headaches and take your business somewhere else. This company deserves a Zero!

Been in this marina for a few years. It's old and been hoping that the new owners would invest in improving the property. The only thing that is good is the dry stack. For covered boat slips, the roof is rusting and you have to constantly keep the rust off your boat. The only good benefit is that it is the closest marina near open gulf waters. I'm hoping that the management becomes more customer friendly and makes some much needed capital improvements. The customer service is poor, so most tenants don't even bother to complain.

Its difficult what to make of this place. I called them to arrange a boat slip with lift. First don't send them a contact me e-mail or leave phone messages because they do not respond. I spoke twice with a lady there. The first time she thought they might have a slip but needed to check with maintenance. A couple of days went by with no response so I called and left a voice message with no response. I called a third time and got the same lady who told me she had not heard back from maintenance. At which point I asked what did maintenance have to do with it, do they have to confirm the boat lift works? I asked, she said yes. I left her my number again and a week later I still have not heard off them. At which point I contacted Surfside Marina and their response and service to enquiries has been outstanding. I guess the Yacht Basin does not need paying customers!.

This marina is a DUMP! GYB seems to continue to go downhill, there is a reason the marina is half-empty and they are offering six months free rent. The bathrooms are filthy, the docks are covered with bird poop, and the covered slips rain rust down on your boat. Management does not care or have any customer service. They will promise you anything to get you to sign a lease then change the rules. Recently when my current year lease expired, I explained to management that my boat was up for sale and I did not expect to have it for another year. They offered me a month-to-month or a year lease while selling my boat. The year lease was $90 a month cheaper with the option to break the lease at any time and pay the month-to-month rate for the months I occupied the slip. After three months I sold my boat, they decided to keep my $540 deposit and say they forgot to mention that my deposit was forfeited. Even though this was all documented in email I was told they made a mistake but too bad. I also was told the pump out and boat ramp was included then later they change the rules. The pump out is now $20 per use and the boat ramp is $1500 per year. How considerate to tack on $1500 per year fee to the $460 per month slip fee. The fuel dock might be open or it might not, depending on the day, don't bother expecting them to be open during the posted hours. Same thing applies to the bait camp, no real hours, just open when they want. Read the online reviews and talk to people who have spent time at this marina before signing a lease.

i was so impressed with my visit to the yacht club. i was in galveston for the day and wanted to go fishing. i went to the bait store; i was overwhelmed at the friendliness and services and products offered. i will tell everyone i know about gyb.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.
