Diving into the Endeavour 42

Sonny crocketts famous home-by-the-sea also suits the real sailor..

endeavour 42 sailboat data

Just as the Caribbean cruising dream was at its peak in the American consciousness, Endeavour yachts brought in Americas Cup designer Johan Valentijn to create a new breed of Endeavours to compete with an already crowded field of center-cockpit cruisers, most of them bound for the Caribbean charter trade. The end result was a boat that managed to maintain a surprisingly tolerable aesthetic, unlike the typical wedding-cake center cockpit cruiser. The combination of teak trim, bootstripe, and balanced proportions camouflages what is essentially a floating condo.

True, the boat can sail. With its tall rig and inboard shrouds, it can even beat to windward with a bit of authority, but with a displacement to length ratio of more than 300, the Endeavour 42 is a pure cruiser, designed to get its crew from here to there in relative comfort. The other performance drawback is the four and one-half foot draft. When working to windward, this keel simply can’t provide the lift of deeper, higher-aspect foil keel. However, youd be hard pressed to find anyone complain about shallow draft in Florida, the Bahamas, or the other shoal waters where the boat is popular. Perhaps its biggest attraction is its price-less than $100,000 for a second home on the water.

In our view, however, the most salient point to highlight is that the Endeavour 42 is the boat that Sonny Crockett and his pet crocodile lived on for most of the hit television series Miami Vice. Crockett, played by actor Don Johnson, epitomized the 80s swinging single with a two-day beard. Of the 257 Endeavour 42s built between 1985 and 1991, we guess that roughly half of them are still occupied by single men who are living (or at one-time aspired to) the Sonny Crockett lifestyle. The other half, we would venture, are owned or captained by men, women, and families who are actually doing some sailing. The distinction is important if you are looking for a used Endeavour 42.

Endeavour 42

Deck layout

In terms of ergonomics, the E42 is fairly efficient, but it is a big boat and the loads are such that older sailors may want to budget for $5,000-$15,000 in upgrades that will reduce friction in the running rigging.

Because of the high mast height and Bimini top, routines like flaking and tending to the mainsail require a little more nimbleness than a typical aft-cockpit cruiser, but lazy jacks and a self-stowing mainsail cover can fix that. The jib sheet winches-self-tailing Lewmar 44s should be one size bigger-but the real sticking point (at least on our test boat) was setting and lowering the mainsail using the lines led aft to the cockpit. A rigid boom vang, a self-stowing mainsail system (Stackpack, Mack-Pack, Dutchman etc.), new turning blocks, and efficient sail slides (Dutchman Strong track) will make setting the main easier. The Lewmar mainsheet traveler on our test boat also could benefit from an upgrade, or at least a rebuild, if you want to make life easier.

Passages fore and aft are clear and wide. The foredeck allows plenty of room to store an 11-foot RIB tender, although many owners have added davits aft. The design came with two different transoms: older models have flat transom, the post-1989 models have an extended transom with an early iteration of the now common scoop transom. Owners unanimously prefer the scoop design, which makes it easier to load and unload from the dinghy, climb aboard when swimming.

The cockpit can be fully enclosed for winter sailing. The boat we sailed had a dodger and side panels. This protected from the elements, but still allowed easy reach to the mainsheet aft. Our test boat had three headsail tracks-two outboard, and one inboard. Leading the sheets lead through the inboard leads may require a turning block aft to prevent chafing on the teak cockpit coaming.

Accommodations

The E42 is a walk-through center cockpit design, meaning that you can access the aft cabin without going above deck. This arrangement reduces the risk of down-flooding, simplifies mainsheet runs, and, is easier on the knees, heart, and self-esteem. Unless you are an emphatic FitBit user, or insist on sound-studio isolation, a walk-through is the way to go in a center-cockpit cruiser.

The walk-through design presents two major challenges: creating enough headroom in the passage aft without building a wedding cake, and locating the passage where it causes the least interference with life below.

Endeavour accomplished the first feat without fuss by eliminating cockpit lockers, however, the passageway is also the galley, an arrangement that might raise hackles of the cook, especially if the first mate is the forgetful type always needing to squeeze past to retrieve his reading glasses. The galleys oversized top-loading freezer fridge is overkill for most cruising needs and the insulation is builders grade, but the size is easily reduced, and insulation can be added. If you’re an avid spear fisherman and the boat has a genset, you’ll be able to feed yourself through a nuclear winter.

One of the biggest advantages of the walkthrough design is excellent access to the engine, which sits directly beneath the cockpit and can be reached through doors on either the side of the engine-from the galley or aft cabin head. In fact, except for the fuel tank, some wiring, and scupper hoses, access to all of the boats key system components is commendable.

The layout is pretty standard for a center cockpit boat-one forward double v-berth, one single settee (starboard), one double convertible settee (port, either a circular or L-shaped dinette), and one island queen berth aft with its own head. The forward berth has a five-foot hanging locker and three drawers under the berth. The owners cabin aft has two hanging lockers and six drawers-three per side.

The guest head forward has two doors (one from the berth, one from the main saloon), however these doors, as well as the forward cabin door, tend to get jammed as the rigging and mast loads are transferred to this area. Reinforcing the doorways with an aluminum frame, as some other builders do, would help prevent this, but most owners just plane the doors to size and carry on. Given the signs of bulkhead flexing we saw on three separate boats, were not surprised that leaks at the mast partners and shroud chainplates are common complaints.

The interior is built mainly of wood, with pan liners for the two heads. The floor timbers are bonded in place with woven roving and the plywood sole is screwed onto these longitudinal and transverse timbers. A teak and holly floor is bonded on top of that. The varnish and joinery on the boat we tested was above average, and owners seem generally pleased with the appearance and layout. This stick-built approach lends itself to modification. The boat we sailed had a full-length bar instead of the starboard settee (the Sonny Crockett Syndrome in full bloom).

Two interior items that drew criticism in our survey were the location of the galley sink, which is tucked beneath galley stairs, and the practicality of the wet bar in the main saloon-which most long-term cruisers have retrofitted for storage, an AC compressor, or fireplace.

The boat is very well ventilated, ideal for the tropics. Multiple Bomar opening ports, two large overhead Atkins and Hoyle hatches in the main cabin, and one large hatch over each double berth provide ample breeze at anchor. (The lack of dorades speaks to its island-hopping rather than ocean-crossing aspirations).

Most of the boats that we saw have undergone at least some systems overhauls. One of the surprises on our test boat was the scupper hoses. These hoses, which are difficult to inspect because they are hidden behind paneling, had rotted out, allowing the boat to flood with rainwater. The hoses that drain the aft lockers had also rotted out, allowing seawater to enter the boat while it was heeled or motoring. These hoses and through hulls are virtually inaccessible. New owners should cut inspection ports to access these through hulls and consider retrofitting a seacock.

The most common auxilliary is a 62 horsepower Perkins 4-154 diesel engine with 2.5 to 1 reduction gear (1983-1986). Most later model boats (1987-1991) have Yanmar 4JH.

Our test boat had a brand-new, drop-in replacement for the Yanmar 4JH- the extremely quiet, Tier III emissions-compliant Yanmar 4JH57. The new 57 horsepower engine uses electronically controlled common rail injection to precisely regulate of the amount and timing of fuel injection for better fuel efficiency. Burn rate can be instantaneously monitored via the engines displays, or via an NMEA 2000 compliant multi-function display at the helm.

All models have 1.25-inch diameter solid, stainless-steel propeller shafts. The stuffing box is easily accessible from the aft cabin. The standard propeller is a three-blade 17 x 16-inch right-hand propeller.

The fuel tank, located in the keel beneath the engine, is a problem. Built of marine grade aluminum, it is exposed to condensation and water trapped in the bilge that can cause pinholes to develop. If the boat has not yet had the tank replaced, you should budget for this project-$10,000 to $20,000 were the prices we were quoted by owners. Most people cut the tank out from above, which requires major deconstruction. The owner of our test boat is a boat builder, and he accessed by cutting a hole in the side of the keel-a job requiring absolute confidence in the fiberglass repair.

The electrical system is fairly standard for the era. Stranded copper wire leads to AC and DC power panels at the navigation station, which is located just beneath the cockpit stairs facing forward on the starboard side. The wiring on our test boat was not well labeled, nor particularly well organized. An upgrade to NMEA 2000 can fix this, but it will be time-consuming if you want to use the same wire runs.

The wires on our test boat run beneath the side decks, although some wires also run just beneath the floorboards in the bilge. In either case, fishing new wires is not a simple task. The bilge itself has an extremely deep sump just below the cockpit stairs. The owner of our test boat had wisely installed his bilge pump and float valve on a long aluminum extension that allowed him to retrieve it and inspect it as needed. The bronze seacocks are all bonded with 8-gauge wire to prevent galvanic corrosion in salt water.

Performance

The Endeavour 42 enjoys a good breeze, and although a cruising chute can keep it moving in light air, most cruisers opt to motorsail when the winds lighten. We averaged about 6.3 knots on our passage from Sarasota, Florida to Havana, sailing conservatively in winds ranging from 8 to 17 knots.

Being shorthanded, we reefed the main at night, but were still able to maintain between 5.5 and 6 knots. If you are willing to use the engine when needed, you can plan on making 6.5 knots, while burning about 1.5-2 gallons per hour. The 75-gallon fuel tank is small compared to similar models, and limits range to about 300 miles under power.

The boat balances well in 12 knots or less, but once the wind picks up and the boat heels past about 15-degrees, weather helm sets in. The weather helm is not as extreme as it is on other designs, and is usually remedied by reefing the main to reduce heeling.

Owners also report that a well-cut main and a flattening reef will also help ease the weather helm. Tacking angles were 45 degrees or worse. Our best speed off the wind was 7.4 knots in about 17 knot trades. The boats favorite heading is with the wind just aft of the beam.

Although some Endeavour owners advise sailing under a full genoa alone to offset weather helm in high winds, this puts undue tension on the rig and is not a good idea. Better to reef the main, and furl the jib as needed, as the mainsheet tension helps balance rig loads.

The Endeavour 42s modest price, and excellent support from an active owners association makes it a good choice for the single-minded single with the guts for a major refit. Families should concentrate on an already refurbished model.

Its heavy displacement would seem to lend it to ocean voyaging and at least one Endeavour owner routinely takes the offshore route between New England and the islands. Nevertheless, there are enough shortcomings in the design and systems to recommend it principally for coastwise sailing and island hopping.

Pricewise, there are only a few other boats in this same size range that match up in terms of aesthetic, tonnage, and interior volume. If you’re looking to live like Sonny Crockett, the Endeavour 42 will put you right on track. Compare with the Whitby 42/Brewer 12.8/Brewer 44 , Hunter Passage 42, Gulfstar 44, CSY 44, and the Morgan Out Island 41.

Bluewater Sailboat – Endeavour 42

Endeavour Yachts in Florida collaborated with America’s Cup designer Johan Valentijn to create the Endeavour 42 and Endeavour 51 in 1985. Endeavour Yachts’ earlier reputation for ‘Florida’ boats with simple designs, large staterooms, shoal draught, and poor windward performance was losing way to market demand for more performance-oriented designs. The E42 retains its ‘floating hotel’ moniker and is far from a blue sea cruiser, but performance has been improved by adding taller rigs, placing chain plates inboard, and upgrading to balsa cored topsides. Between 1985 and 1991, approximately 257 of these boats were produced, and they are regarded a comfortable, good value cruiser for individuals who like to live the Sonny Crockett Miami Vice liveaboard lifestyle.

Endeavour Yachts was created in 1974 in Largo, Florida by John Brooks and Rob Valdes. It was the golden age of Tampa Bay, Florida production, with Morgan, Irwin, and Gulfstar among others. Endeavour began with the release of the E32 and, later, the E37, both of which were created in-house by Dennis Robbins. When the emphasis shifted from plump, short-rigged tubs to high-performance, centre cockpits in the 1980s, Endeavour hired Johan Valentjin in 1985 to design the E42 and E51. The company folded in 1986 and was sold to Coastal Financial Corp, which, despite its name, had a 10-year financial run. John Brooks kept on as production manager, but Coastal finally sold Endeavour in the 1990s, and it became a whole other firm, primarily producing cruising catamarans. Brooks was shot dead in an apparent burglary at his house in 1996, bringing Endeavour’s history to an end. Some argue that the design heritage carries on in Island Packet Yachts, citing similarities between Endeavour and Island Packets. In the late 1970s, Bob Johnson of Island Packet joined Endeavour as a designer.

The topsides of the hull of this Bluewater Sailboat are balsa cored with plywood for compression strength and solid glass below the waterline. Moulded liners were employed, greatly restricting bilge access. After 15 years of usage, the aluminium tanks are known to rust and leak. In terms of quality construction, Endeavour ranks second behind Gulfstar and ahead of Morgan and Irwin on Florida’s west coast. The engine is a standard 62HP Perkins 4-154, which, while excellent, has limited replacement parts availability. It’s nearly tough to find a rebuilt kit.

The amenities are what sell these boats, and E42 owners are often pleased with the ‘floating hotel’ moniker. The Endeavour 42 has the most popular configuration among these cruisers, with a centre cockpit, an island queen aft, and a V-berth front. The galley is located along the walkthrough, with sinks located either beneath the companionway or outboard.

Performance

The Bluewater Sailboat Endeavour 42, like the Island Packets, is a hefty, shoal-draught yacht that performs badly in light air and windward. With a 5′ draught, the design is specifically tailored to the needs of sailors in South Florida and the Bahamas. A strong boat is also useful in commerce.

Quick Notes

Endeavour is well recognized for having ill-conceived access. The moulded liners severely restrict bilge access. To make matters worse, Endeavour buried the Endeavour 42’s aluminium water and fuel tanks deep into the bilge. These tanks have a 15-year lifespan and must be replaced.

Review of Endeavour 42

Basic specs..

The Endeavour 42 is equipped with a finn keel. The finn keel is the most common keel and provides splendid manoeuvrability. The downside is that it has less directional stability than a long keel.

The boat can enter most marinas as the draft is just about 1.52 - 1.62 meter (4.99 - 5.29 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.

The boat is typically equipped with a Perkins 4.154 diesel engine at 62.0 hp (46 kW), which gives a max speed about 6.8 knots.

The fuel tank has a capacity of 284 liters (75 US gallons, 62 imperial gallons).

Sailing characteristics

This section covers widely used rules of thumb to describe the sailing characteristics. Please note that even though the calculations are correct, the interpretation of the results might not be valid for extreme boats.

What is Capsize Screening Formula (CSF)?

The capsize screening value for Endeavour 42 is 1.78, indicating that this boat could - if evaluated by this formula alone - be accepted to participate in ocean races.

What is Theoretical Maximum Hull Speed?

The theoretical maximal speed of a displacement boat of this length is 7.7 knots. The term "Theoretical Maximum Hull Speed" is widely used even though a boat can sail faster. The term shall be interpreted as above the theoretical speed a great additional power is necessary for a small gain in speed.

The immersion rate is defined as the weight required to sink the boat a certain level. The immersion rate for Endeavour 42 is about 269 kg/cm, alternatively 1509 lbs/inch. Meaning: if you load 269 kg cargo on the boat then it will sink 1 cm. Alternatively, if you load 1509 lbs cargo on the boat it will sink 1 inch.

Sailing statistics

This section is statistical comparison with similar boats of the same category. The basis of the following statistical computations is our unique database with more than 26,000 different boat types and 350,000 data points.

Endeavour Yacht Corp.

Endeavour Yacht Corp.was founded by John Brooks and Rob Valdes in Largo, Florida. Brooks got started in the business first with Charlie Morgan, and later with Ted Irwin, Vince Lazzara (an early owner of Columbia Yachts), and sons Brad and Dick. Rob Valdes was the younger brother of Dick Valdes, cofounder of Columbia and then later Lancer Yachts. Rob began his career at Columbia, and persuaded by Vince Lazzara, then joined Gulfstar Yachts. It was at Gulfstar where Rob met John Brooks. To get their fledgling company off the ground Ted Irwin, who was then located in Tampa Bay, gave Brooks and Valdes the molds for his 1970 vintage Irwin 32. Endeavours’ in-house production and design person Dennis Robbins took the Irwin 32, modified it, and named it the Endeavour 32. They built about 600 in all. Encouraged by its success they looked around for a sister ship. Looking for boats along the Miami River, Brooks and Valdes found an old abandoned Ray Creekmore design which Dennis also modified. The 34ft design was cut in half, they added 3 feet to the midsection, and created the Endeavour 37 of which 476 were sold. The early Endeavours (E32, E37, and E43) were simple, straight forward boats with outboard chainplates, short rigs, and strong, moderate hulls using a combination of polyester resin and fiberglass woven roving and multi-directional chopped strand fiber (MCSF). These “Florida” boats sacrificed windward sailing performance for shoal draft, which is a requirement of the Florida Keys and Bahama Islands. Dennis Robbins went on to run Ted Irwins designs and later to the mega yacht company, Trident, in Tampa. At this point Bob Johnson (now of Island Packet fame) joined Endeavour as the principal in-house designer at Endeavour for about a 3-year period and had a hand in developing the E43 (1979), the modification of the E32 (1980), and possible modifications on the E37 (1977). The 1980s ushered in a new era in boat building and the pressure was on for more performance-oriented designs and updated construction methods. The charter market was growing and they wanted faster, more comfortable boats. Endeavour began to respond to this need by introducing the Endeavour 40 in 1981, but it wasn’t until America’s Cup designer Johan Valentijn was commissioned to do the Endeavour 38 (1984), and Bruce Kelly to do the Endeavour 33 and 35 (1984), that the company made a real effort to improve performance. Where earlier boats had been cored with 4–6” squares of plywood, the newer Endeavours used Klegecell closed-cell polyvinyl foam coring and incorporated “a multi-axial steel reinforced ‘force grid’ bonded to the hull for stiffness.” By 1985, Valentijn had designed the Endeavour 42 and 51 and Endeavour was now almost exclusively building center cockpit boats for the charter trade and cruising families. These boats were easily handled, moderate design boats suitable for offshore work, with taller rigs and inboard chainplates. At this point Endeavour stopped using the Klegecell core and returned to using end-grain balsa in the sheer-to-waterline areas, plywood where compression strength was needed for thru bolting hardware, and incorporated a structural grid system built up of triaxial fiberglass encapsulated urethane foam. In 1986 John Brooks closed the doors and sold the company to Coastal Financial Corp. of Denver and stayed on as product manager. By 1988 the company was building 100 boats a year with 50 employees, down from 200 boats a year and 300 employees in 1984. Despite their upgrading the line of boats they were hurt by declining sales and competition with its own products on the used boat market and Endeavour Yacht Corporation effectively went out of business in 1988. Coastal Finance Corporation sold it again in 1991, and after several more changes in ownership, it became the builder of multihulls called the Endeavour Catamaran Corporation. Although it’s a different company today primarily producing cruising catamarans, they also produce several custom sailboats in the 45 to 59ft range. During this period Bill Symons, a builder of fiberglass multi-hulls on Long Island, had a 28-foot cat-rigged catamaran designed by Rob Ladd, and he eventually licensed the molds to Endeavour. However with the changes in ownership Symons transferred the molds to America Cruising Yacht Corporation (a reorganized Irwin), but claims that Endeavour copied the molds before doing so. After making some design changes, the Endeavourcat 30 was introduced in 1992. America Cruising introduced it’s AmeriCat 3014 but soon went out of business. Symons then took the molds to Hutchins (Com-Pac) and sold the boat as the Symons 30. DECK + HULL

Hull Construction:

Completely hand laminated (no chop) to assure consistent application of fiberglass layers. Optimum strength-to-weigh ratio is achieved through the exclusive use of knitted (not woven) biaxial and triaxial fiberglass reinforcing fabrics.  Hull sides and transom are cored with 3/4 “ end-grain balsa.

Built from one piece mold provides a strong and monolithic structure.

Solid glass laminate “backbone” and keel stictions offer maximum strength at critical areas.

Structural grid system of triaxial fiberglass encapsulated urethane foam “floors and stringers” assures a rigid underbody, while reinforcing for mast and keel loading.

Massive stainless steel chainplates are constructed by Navtec tie rod system to stainless steel spider plates embedded by hand lamination into the hull structure for optimum load distribution.

Deck Construction:

Made lighter and stronger through the use of biaxial fiberglass materials and balsa coring.   Plywood coring used only as necessary where compression strength is needed for through bolting hardware.

Deck/Hull Joint:

“Return” flange construction, in monolithic construction offers rigid hull shapes and the ultimate strength in hull to deck joining technique.

Deck is epoxy bonded to hull flange and through-bolted every 8” with stainless steel machine bolts. Water tight integrity is assured by surrounding the deck/hull jouint with 3M-5200 as a bedding for the teak bulwark cab and rub strake.

Rudder Construction:

The rudder is molded as a single piece of solid high density foam with a protective skin of fiberglass and a gelcoat finish.  The foam material is of high strength structural grade and has exceptional toughness.  The rudder post, molded integrally inside rudder, is solid stainless steel, which is welded to a steel blade in the interior of the rudder.

General Description

Second Wind is a highly customized Endeavour 42 that has been continually upgraded. Every system has been thoroughly examined and the best replacement gear has been used.

Originally a standard Johan Valentijn Endeavour 42, Second Wind has had both a handsome bowsprit forward and functional swim platform with a ladder on the stern.

Both the running and standing rigging has been replaced. She sports a Yanmar 68 hp diesel engine with 1800 hours and a 5.5 kw Northern Lights generator with only 510 hours running time.

Second Wind is also fully air-conditioned for your comfort aboard.

To fully appreciate what the owners have done to make Second Wind such a special yacht please click on and read the upgrades and features.

Second Wind is a center cockpit style yacht with new bowsprit, radar arch, stern platform, and davits. She is easy to walk around and inside (6'2 headroom) and out and designed to be both stiff and fast. She has a three-quarter keel and a separate skeg for her new rudder. A true blue water vessel, she is very sea kindly and with a 6' draft she points extremely well. For a heavy boat, she can clock 7 knots easily in a 10 to 12-knot wind. Her long and narrow bow negates the discomfort of rough seas extremely well.

Built of long-distance cruising she has every creature comfort down below that even some of the newest yachts often don't have. Even though the owners jokingly say that there is really nothing left of her original 1985 build, it really is quite true. Besides the major items like tanks, engine, generator, water maker, refrigeration and air conditioning, even her cabin top was reconfigured to accommodate big wide opening ports. Additionally, the other systems that have been replaced or upgraded are as follows: stanchions, sails and standing and running rigging, chainplates, wiring and lighting, plumbing and fixtures, portholes and hatches, main winches replaced with electric ones, all electronics and radar, windlass and anchor locker, water heater, bilges pumps and much more.

Second wind is a two stateroom center cockpit design. The main salon hosts around adjustable height table which can seat five people comfortably and can be converted into a double bunk. There is s widescreen 54" high def. smart TV on the bulkhead above it and bookshelves and cabinet storage beside it to port. The settee on the starboard side folds out into a comfortable double bunk also and has bookshelves and cabinets above it. All of the cushions in the salon were refinished with Nauga Soft in a light cream color. Aft of the settee is the navigation station where the new electrical panels are located. Behind one of the panels is a hidden gun/valuables locker. Beneath the entry stairs is large access for the generator.

The galley is located partially in the main salon and in the walk-thru to the master stateroom on the port side. The galley has both a large drop-in freezer and a separate drop-in refrigerator both with new compressors. The countertops were replaced with Corian. The dish storage area was rebuilt to accommodate more storage. She has a propane three burner gimbaled stove with broiler and oven, a microwave and two outlets in the galley for other electrical appliances and a stainless steel double sink with new faucet and soap dispenser. There is a large access for the engine room from the walk-through of the galley and from the master head. The engine room has lead back insulation for sound.

The master stateroom has a standard queen size memory foam covered bed. There are six deep drawers of storage and two hanging lockers in the master stateroom. It also has two seats at the foot of the bed for dressing. The aft head has an electric macerator toilet and sink in one area and a separate shower with seat and 6'6 headroom. Going forward from the salon on your starboard side is a hanging locker in the salon with a liquor cabinet above it. On the port side is a head that is accessible from both the salon and the forward cabin. It has a sink and electric macerator toilet in one area and a separate shower stall with the seat.

The forward cabin has a large hanging locker, six small drawers and a bunk that is the same square footage as a queen-sized bed. There is ample storage cabinets above the bunk on both sides and hangers for fishing rods underneath. This yacht has 6'4 headroom throughout and the joiner work of the interior teak is exceptionally beautiful. Her entire interior was stripped and refinished with a clear finish Imron varnish in a six coat system.

All of her tanks for water and fuel were replaced with new aluminum tanks with more capacity added. In the process of replacing tanks, the flooring had to be removed and was replaced with new teak and holly soles. Extra floor hatches were installed for better access to below floor storage.

Replacements & Upgrades

  • 2008 The fuel and water tanks were removed and replaced with new aluminum tanks and in the process, the fuel capacity was increased.
  • 2009 We added the swim platform which has a stainless steel structure, Epi wood platform and a bracket for the floating swim ladder.
  • 2008 All of the stainless steel stanchions were removed and replaced with taller stanchions.
