Sunset and dolphin-watching catamaran tour

Enjoy one of the most relaxing moments of your holidays in Lanzarote on this catamaran trip to see dolphins and watch the sunset.

sunset boat trip lanzarote

The boat tour schedule varies throughout the year, but as a rule, it starts 2 hours before sunset and lasts until nightfall.

sunset boat tour lanzarote

The first part of our adventure will be focused on spotting cetaceans. Although there’s no guarantee of finding dolphins in the open sea, the chances are more than 60%. If you’re lucky, we’ll see herds of dolphins surrounding the boat and, exceptionally, we’ll be able to spot a whale.

dolphins

From the boat you can also see Puerto del Carmen and some of the craters found in this part of the island.

puesta de sol en lanzarote

During the journey you can drink beer, sangria, mojitos, soft drinks and water and dine on some of our buffet dishes such as potato omelet, croquettes or vegetable sandwiches.

sunset dinner

The catamaran is spacious and you can move through the bow, stern or bar area at all times.

puesta de sol barco lanzarote

As night falls, we’ll move closer to the port to enjoy a pleasant sunset, as we watch the sun hide behind the Lanzarote mountains.

sunset lanzarote

This will undoubtedly be the finale of an afternoon that we hope you’ll enjoy and which you’ll remember as one of the best moments of your stay on the island.

Recommendations:

  • Bring sunscreen, a cap and some warm clothing.
  • Take precautionary measures for motion sickness.

sunset catamaran trip

A nice experience. We didn’t see any dolphins but did spend an afternoon enjoying the sea and the sunset.

A great sunset. Everything is planned so that you can enjoy the day’s last 2 hours of sun in a very special way. From the moment you’re welcomed until you leave the ship you’re entertained. Snacking, dolphin watching and finishing with a sunset from the sea. 2 very special hours.

Marvellous. We sat at the bow of the boat and watched several dolphins swim alongside the boat. A unique experience that ended with the sun going down behind the mountains which we saw from the catamaran

A special sunset. The catamaran trip was very pleasant, however we didn’t see any dolphins and at dusk we saw the sunset in the mountains and not on the sea.

Worse than we expected. I went with my husband and we expected a better experience because we didn’t see any dolphins, the boat was full and we couldn’t sit in the bow of the boat, the snacks were pretty bad and the sun went down behind the mountains, not the sea.

Dusk at sea. The catamaran ride was relaxing and we spent the first hour sailing in search of dolphins but unfortunately didn’t see any. We saw the sunset on the last hour of the tour.

Highly recommended. I went with my girlfriend because we wanted to do something romantic and we really liked it. Even though the catamaran is big and there are quite a few people, you can stay in one place or move around the boat. Seeing the dolphins was amazing, and the sunset was super relaxing.

Good organization and experience. The boat is big and it was almost full but there were many areas where you could sit and enjoy the sunset and see some dolphins.

Awesome. Both my husband and I really enjoyed the sunset and the dolphin sighting. Good organization and good onboard service.

It was worth it. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot. We were able to see several dolphin families on 2 occasions at the beginning of the boat ride and then relaxed watching the sunset.

Sunset with friends. We were 3 couples and loved the experience. The catamaran is spacious and the crew is very friendly. The sunset was very nice and calm and seeing the dolphins was one of the most exciting moments of our lives. Thank you so much!!

Unforgettable. We saw lots of dolphins and 2 whales sporadically, as they didn’t come up to the surface much. The crew was very friendly and helpful and the sunset at sea was one of the most relaxing and romantic moments of my honeymoon.

It’s good but crowded. The boat is big and a lot of people go on this tour. There are plenty of places to sit but we would’ve preferred to go with fewer people. Otherwise, we were lucky as we saw some dolphins and loved watching the sunset from the catamaran.

Good tour but we didn’t see any dolphins. We would’ve loved to see some dolphins but the boat ride and sunset at sea were still worth it.

A plan for couples. My girlfriend and I were excited to see the dolphins, the coast, the sunset, the boat…..everything was very good.

A plan to do with the family. At first we thought it was a tour for couples but Luis told us that families with children also went so we decided to go, my husband and I, and our 8 and 10-year-old children. The four of us really enjoyed watching the dolphins and the sunset. Also, we had dinner on the boat and loved the experience.

Perfect for couples. Luis from OkLanzarote encouraged us to do this boat trip and gave us some tips to get the most out of it. Everything was perfect, from the moment they picked us up at the hotel until we got back. Good crew and a nice catamaran. The sunset was amazing and dolphin watching was spectacular.

We loved it. We saw quite a few dolphins, 2 whales and took in the sunset before heading back to port.

Improvable. The negative part is that we didn’t see any dolphins not any other type of cetacean and the buffet was tasteless, the dishes had no flavour. On the positive side, watching the sunset from the sea with my partner was very relaxing.

Amazing. The catamaran ride was very pleasant and went by quickly. With a bit of luck you’ll get to spot some dolphins, as we did, and enjoy a nice sunset from the sea.

A fantastic afternoon. The crew was very attentive and friendly and the catamaran is spacious so you can move around the boat during the tour. The sunset from the sea was very special and we were able to see a dolphin pod.

Sunset without dolphins. The boat ride is ok and the crew is lovely, but we weren’t lucky and didn’t see the dolphins.

A good way to end the day. I went with my husband and 2 children and we were very excited to see the dolphins so close to the boat and relaxed watching the sun go down.

Highly recommended. The catamaran is large and even if you sit in one area, you can move around the boat during the trip. They gave us several drinks and a lot of snacks. The crew was very friendly and we saw a large pod of dolphins on the first part of the tour and watched the sun go down over the island’s mountains before heading back to the pier.

Good experience though unlucky. We didn’t see any dolphins on the outing, however the sea trip and sunset were worth it anyway.

Good tour. We really enjoyed the boat ride even though we didn’t see any dolphins. The sunset from the sea was wonderful, very different from seeing it from land.

Khabarovsk, Russia

You are here, about khabarovsk.

Khabarovsk is one of the most significant and beautiful cities of Russia's Far East. It stands on the right bank of the Amur River along the scenic Trans-Siberian railway and almost touches the Chinese border.

The city of Khabarovsk played a crucial role in East - Russian history and is famous for its historic sights, monuments of architecture of different eras, religious buildings, lovely parks, gardens, and artificial lakes which surprise its visitors with impressive fountain shows.

Khabarovsk History

Founded in 1858, the city is now loved by Chinese travelers and those who are going on iconic train journeys along the world's longest railway from Siberia. After days of relentless taiga, people reach this vibrant city with multiple attractions, plenty of historical sights from the tsarist-era, and a number of places to try traditional Russian cuisine. Khabarovsk is indeed a charming city that deserved to be on your travel itinerary. Especially, if you are the legendary Trans-Siberian is on your travel radar.

We suggest beginning your Khabarovsk tour from the famous monument erected in honor of Nikolay Muravyov - Amursky, one of the best-known explorer of East Siberia, a general, and the founder of the city.

Continue your Khabarovsk trip with a riverside walk along the picturesque Nevelsky Embankment and pass through the third tallest church (35 feet) in all Russia - Spaso-Transfiguration Cathedral standing on top of a hill. Take in the spectacular location and view of this Cathedral and its classic golden domes, dominating the city skyline and being visible from a large distance.

Port Vanino is a seaport. Khabarovsk, Vanino

2024 Author : Harold Hamphrey | [email protected] . Last modified: 2023-12-17 10:06

The port of Vanino (on the map given in the article you can see its location) is a Russian seaport of federal significance. It is located in the Khabarovsk Territory, in the deep-water Vanina Bay. It is the second seaport of the Far Eastern basin of Russia in terms of cargo turnover - more than 20 million tons.

port of vanino

Vaninsky District was formed as an independent territorial unit within the Khabarovsk Territory in 1973 according to the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. It absorbed the northwestern part of the Sovetsko-Gavansky region, which was previously a component of the Primorsky Territory. What were the prerequisites for separating it into a separate administrative-territorial unit? This is explained by the rapid economic growth of this region in the early seventies of the last century. One of the contributing factors was the seaport of Vanino. Already in 1983, the volume of cargo handling reached a little less than nine million tons. The entire load fell on the port of Vanino (photo, given in the article) and on the railway junction. Compared to 1973cargo handling volumes doubled. Noticeable shifts also took place in the woodworking and forestry industries. So, with the commissioning of the Tumninisky timber industry enterprise and the Koshinsky timber processing plant, the total volume of logging reached one million cubic meters per year. The port of Vanino also did not lag behind and was constantly developing; its own well-equipped ferry crossing and a container terminal were opened here. And with the completion of the construction of the railway line (Baikal-Amur), Russia opens a reliable outlet to the Pacific Ocean. Port of Vanino becomes the eastern gate of our country.

This port with a sea ferry railway service serves the delivery of goods to several coastal destinations: Sakhalin, Arctic, Magadan, Kamchatka, Vladivostok, the Kuriles and other ports of the Sea of Okhotsk. In addition, goods are transported from here to the Asia-Pacific countries (China, Korea, Japan and others), the USA, Australia, Canada, India, etc. The port of Vanino is among the top ten ports of our country in terms of cargo transportation.

Vaninsky district is promising not only in terms of transport infrastructure. This region is also interesting from the standpoint of the development of the tourism industry. Attractive for vacationers are the variety of attractions, the richest nature of the area, the culture and traditions of indigenous peoples. In addition, there is a source of thermal radon waters - Tumninskiy "Hot Key". It is located in a unique place - the most beautiful valley of the Chope River.

OnThe following protected natural areas are located on the territory of the district: biological reserves (Mopau and Tumninsky), fishery reserves (Tumninsky and Khutinsky), a natural monument of regional significance (“Stone Grove”).

The National Natural Park "Goryachiy Klyuch" is located on the territory of the Northern and Tumninskoe forestries. It is located ten kilometers from the Tumin station, which is located on the Khabarovsk-Vanino line. The absolute height of this area is 280 meters above sea level. According to its quality indicators, the source (water temperature + 41 degrees Celsius) is close to the thermal waters of the Belokurikha resort.

In accordance with the decree of the head of the administration of the Khabarovsk Territory dated January 20, 1997 No. 7 “On specially protected natural areas of the Khabarovsk Territory”, Toki Island, which is located in the Tatar Strait, was included in the list of protected natural objects of local importance. It is interesting because there is a rookery of seals here. Many tourists come here to admire these pinnipeds.

Excluding fish reserves with protected forest belts on their banks, the total area of prohibited natural areas in this area exceeds 215,000 hectares. There are unique places where the fauna of the south and north, east and west, present and past mixed up. One of such places is the Tumin river basin. Here you can find unique rocky landscapes, glades withrare and exotic vegetation, interesting channels and backwaters.

Vanino is an administrative center with a population of about twenty thousand people. It arose on the site of the Oroch camp. The village has a House of Culture, two hotels and two clinics, a chain of restaurants, cafes and shops. Vanino has its own art gallery, printing house, TV repeater, local history museum, two newspapers, a local radio and television studio, four schools, a vocational technical school, a technical school and an institute. Today's regional center and the seaport form a single whole - they cannot exist without each other.

khabarovsk vanino

Vanino Bay was discovered in May 1853 by members of the Amur expedition. In the period from 1854 to 1901, various Russian scientists explored this region. The bay got its name in 1878 in honor of the cartographer Vanin V. K. The history of the formation of the region is rich in various transformations. First, the Far Eastern Republic was divided into separate provinces, after which the Sovetsko-Orochsky district with the center in Ust-Orochy stood out from the Primorsky Territory, then another division and reorganization, as a result of which Vaninsky and Sovetsko-Gavansky districts were formed.

Vaninsky District is located in the east of the Khabarovsk Territory. It occupies the territory between 138.5 and 141 degrees east longitude and 49 and 51 degrees north latitude. It is located on the banks of the Tatar Strait, here is the port of Vanino. total areaThe district is 25 thousand square kilometers. The eastern border runs along the shelf of the Tatar Strait, and the western border runs along the central ridge of the Sikhote-Alin massif. In the south it borders on the Sovetsko-Gavansky region, and in the north - on Ulchsky. The area of its territory is comparable to such states as Israel, Belgium or Albania. The climate in the Vanino region is monsoonal, characterized by high humidity, frequent fogs in summer, and dry in winter. The average annual rainfall is 700 mm, of which 75% rain and 25% snow. The average annual air temperature is 22 degrees, the average January temperature is minus 27 degrees.

In the river and sea waters of the region, the total area of which is 22 thousand square kilometers, many species of fish are found, such as navaga, flounder, pollock, herring, smelt, pelengas, grayling, char, malma, taimen, trout. In addition, there are also migratory salmon breeds: sima, pink salmon and chum salmon. There are ten rivers on the territory of the district, the largest are the Khugu (its length is 230 kilometers) and Tumnin (its length is 400 kilometers).

The animal world of this region is rich and diverse. Thus, upland game and wild animals are found in the forests of the Vanino region: reindeer, elk, bears, wild boars, squirrels, hares, sable, hazel grouse, capercaillie. Local forests are also rich in berries, lingonberries, blueberries, blackberries, and honeysuckle grow here. In addition, there are a lot of mushrooms and cedar trees.

Forest resources of the regionare the most important component of its economy. It belongs to the richly forested regions with 2.5 million hectares of forest plantations. Timber reserves are estimated at 224.8 million cubic meters.
