Highlights of the McConaghy 90 catamaran

The McConaghy 90 is a true superyacht. She has a huge interior that can be customized to owner’s specifications. For discerning clients who seek an exceptional piece of maritime engineering, the McConaghy 90 catamaran should be on top of their list. Thanks to McConaghy’s highly efficient production facilities the MC90 can be built in less than 18 months. Her specially controlled vacuum infusion process of E-glass/Epoxy, carbon-hybrid composite foam makes her much lighter than similar length catamarans. Consequently she is strong, safe and immensely stiff. The MC90 will sail at windspeed in light airs. Similar to the last generation of America’s Cup foiling catamarans, the McConaghy 90’s rigidity and full carbon longeron also allow for the elimination of the forward crossbeam, which further lightens this amazing yacht.

The McConaghy 90 multihull, like high performance racing yachts, is helmed via twin pedestal steering stations positioned well aft. The elimination of the flybridge further reduces aerodynamic efficiency and weight – and at the same time lowers the stunning profile of this Grand Prix yacht. Expansive glass panels in the hulls and saloon slide open to create an inside/outside living space. The spacious forward cockpit is another key lifestyle defining feature of the MC90.

McConaghy Boats custom builds every piece of furniture to uncompromising quality standards to the stylish interior design team of Design Unlimited. The timeless interior is constructed using a mix of hand-painted surfaces and lightweight, exotic wood laminates with soft fabric accents. There are a variety of layouts to choose from.

The McConaghy 90 multihull was born from the drawing board of illustrious naval architect Jason Ker. His name is associated with high performance racing yachts and the BAR Racing – British America’s Cup catamaran.

Designed by German Freers, she combines an elegant and sophisticated luxury cruiser presence with Nautor Swan unrivalled high-tech racing yacht charter performance. She features all the latest sailing gear, communications and entertainment systems on board and is always kept in excellent, yacht charter ready condition. SWAN 90's super yacht crew of up to four are usually offering luxury crewed charter itineraries around the Mediterranean throughout the year. During the winter months, the yacht tends to cross the Atlantic and spend the yacht charter and racing season in the East Caribbean. The Swan yacht charter boats usually combine superior cruising capabilities and an outstanding interior with the distinctive quality of a Nautor’s Swan and this is best expressed on the SWAN 90 super yacht. The yacht’s versatility and capabilities on the water are second to none in this range. Superbly designed and easy to handle, with hydraulic winches, hydraulic head sail furling sail and handling controlled via push buttons, the SWAN 90 luxury charter yacht can easily be managed by between two and three people in cruising mode while for competitive racing, it can be crewed by a team of twenty. The Finish owner, Pekka Koskenkyla sold part of the company to new investor Wilhelm Schauman Oy which enabled the company's survival and the next stage in the development which ensured the Swan became one of the best yachts in the world.  A group of investors came on board in late 1990's and control the major stake in the shipyard ever since.  The original US designers Sparkman & Stephens were initially replaced by Ron Holand of New Zealand in mid 1970's with the services of the Argentianian German Frers being secured in the 1980's. To date, more than 2000 Swan hulls have been built and are currently cruising the world’s oceans, all being recognised as one of the best sailing yachts in the world. In terms of SWAN 90, she is a pleasure to handle under sail or manoeuvre in all sea and wind conditions. Nautor Swan brought in the creation of this Swan 90 all of its superior yacht-building expertise, knowledge and experience , ensuring she provides the expected refined yacht charter cruising experience and exceptional performance when needed.

Accommodation: Luxury Sailing Yacht SWAN 90 can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 luxuriously appointed cabins. The guests will have a total of 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins at their disposal. All cabins are en-suite and with their own individual air con and BOSE Stereo entertainment systems connected to LCD TV in each cabin. Sailing Yacht SWAN 90 charter prices: SWAN 90 super yacht charter prices start at 38,000 Euros in low season, while high season prices are as high as 46.000 Eur plus APA expenses. In some locations VAT can be charged on top and prices can be higher on special days such as NEW YEAR or during special events such as Antigua Sailing week.   Special offers, negotiated deals and last minute discounts are available on request. Luxury classic charter yacht SWAN 90 is fully air conditioned throughout. This is a non-smoking vessel. Super Yacht TENDER: Private charter yacht SWAN 90 has a 3.6m Tender on board Super Yacht itineraries: Luxury sailing yacht SWAN 90 is usually offering yacht charters around the Greek Islands and the rest of Eastern Mediterranean throughout the year. Her favourite sailing grounds the Cyclades archipelago, Saronic and Argolic Gulf and on request Aegean, Sporades or Ionian sea. One way charter between Athens and Mykonos or Mykonos and Santorini are its speciality. Sailing towards Cyprus, Turkey or Samos and Halkidiki is possible. Luxury sailing yacht SWAN 90  (27.71 / 90.91’) was launched by Nautor Swan of Finland back in 2002.  Always kept in excellent condition, she accommodates up to 6 yacht charter guests sleeping in 1 Master, 2 twin cabins, each with an additional Pullman. All cabins are en-suite and feature their own audio and visual entertainment systems. There are always at least 6 super yacht crew members on board including the captain. This charter yacht mainly cruises at speeds of around 10kn and is normally offered for luxury crewed yacht charters within the East Mediterranean, between Athens and Mykonos or Mykonos and Santorini throughout the year. Her crew are happy to offer ONE WAY or TANDEM charters between other destinations too, including Cyprus or Crete and Samos. In the winter she can also cruise in the East Caribbean on request.   Thanks to her YANMAR super yacht engine totalling 300hp, and an impressive sail area, during the right sea and wind conditions, she can reach maximum speeds of around 15kn. Her best features are fabulous sailing performance, SWAN prestige, lovely yachting theme interior, and great crew with lovely guest to crew ratio.

Private charter yacht SWAN 90 can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 cabins. Cabin Configuration: - Master cabin with queen size bed - 2 x Twin cabins There is also individual controlled air conditioning, iPhone dock and en-suite bathroom, SWAN 90 is fully air conditioned throughout. Her super yacht crew of up to 4, including the captain, have separate crew quarters with heads and showers and may share companion way with clients.

In addition, solar cells will be built into the yacht’s entire bodywork and will continuously generate power from the sun so long as it’s shining. The Polish yard has previously featured this patented “solar skin” on a number of models, including a 100-foot sailboat , a smaller 80-foot sailer , and an 80-foot cat . The latter is equipped with 160 kW main motors that enable speeds of up to 10 knots, to give you an idea of the newcomer’s potential grunt.

Pajot Custom Eco Yacht 90 Catamaran (New) Description

The 27.50m PAJOT CUSTOM ECO YACHT 90’ is the new addition to innovating line of Eco-Yacht 115’ and 145’ hybrid catamarans, developed by Pajot Custom Yachts and the Italian shipyard Wider. This new multihull appeared in response of the growing demand for the sustainable yachts.

The PAJOT CUSTOM ECO YACHT 90 repeats many of her bigger allies features. Exterior details include aluminium built, the cutting-edge design for hulls, efficient sail layout with boomless main sail, retractable center board, allowing shallow draft.

Hybrid power system comprises extensive use of solar panels (50m2) combined with new generation electric propulsion by in-house Wider Management System (WMS). No engine noise, no vibrations and no CO2 emissions in “hotel” mode.

The unique design of the new PAJOT CUSTOM ECO YACHT 90’ boasts a full beam saloon (75m2) with 150-degree view from the galley, home cinema area, followed by panoramic master cabin with direct access to the fore private deck with a private lounging area and jacuzzi. Customisable layout offers the opportunity to draft two cabins instead of one master suite. Two spacious VIP cabins of 20m2 each are located on the lower deck, both equipped by private beach club terraces with direct access to water.

ALVA Yachts goes long with a 90-foot solar electric superyacht boosted by hydrogen and wing sails

Luxury electric boatbuilder ALVA Yachts is doing what many in the maritime industry consistently strive toward – building vessels bigger and better. Its latest solar electric catamaran is a 90-foot superyacht called the OCEAN ECO 90 H2 – in addition to zero-emissions propulsion and sustainable power, it adds hydrogen fuel cells and a wing sail propulsion system to alleviate any need for fuel aboard. Oh, don’t forget the jacuzzi up top.

ALVA Yachts is a German company founded in 2020 by Mathias May and Holger Henn, evolving out of PICA yachts. It was originally founded in 2013 – launching over forty 20- to 30-foot sailing and electric powerboats in its tenure.

We’ve covered the boatbuilder more and more as of late as it looks to create the next generation of zero-emission yachts by developing a growing lineup of solar electric catamarans that are as luxurious as they are sustainable.

In the past three years alone, ALVA Yachts has introduced a 50-foot cruiser, two electric sailboats in lengths of 72- and 82-feet, plus 60- and 90-foot all-electric yachts, including the OCEAN ECO 60, which debuted in 2022  and is now in production.

Last month, ALVA introduced a new 78-foot solar electric catamaran slotted between the OCEAN ECO 60 and  OCEAN ECO 90 – the latter of which was previously available as an all-electric or diesel-hybrid superyacht.

Today, however, ALVA has gone all in on fuel-less yachts; a new version of the OCEAN ECO 90 adds hydrogen and wind power to ensure true zero emissions. Have a look.

ALVA is building its first fuel-less electric superyacht

The boatbuilder announced today that the build of its first OCEAN ECO 90 H2 solar electric superyacht is underway and will arrive as its first vessel to run without any fossil fuels, producing zero emissions.

The fully electric superyacht is propelled by two 250 kW motors as standard, with an optional upgrade to a 2×480 kW system. The motors are powered by a 500+ kWh battery pack aboard that can recharge using 200 square meters of solar cells atop the vessel that can provide up to 40 kilowatt-peak (kWp) power from nothing but the sun.

What’s new on the OCEAN ECO 90 H2 is the integration of hydrogen fuel cells as an additional zero emissions range extender, supplied by EODev and integrated by SECO Marine. Lastly, the solar electric superyacht will feature an Oceanwings wind propulsion system from Ayro that utilizes wind sensors on the wing sails to analyze data and adjust the wing sail angle and camber automatically.

The result is a 90-foot catamaran with several sustainable fail-safes to ensure the vessel stays powered for long journeys at sea.

Aside from its ultra-green performance specs, the vessel is still a luxury superyacht. It features an open-air concept that includes an open flybridge and helm, plus a sky lounge, cocktail bar, and top-deck jacuzzi. Other features include a large galley with a full-size fridge, an island with bar stools, and a large dining table that seats twelve guests.

The owner of the first ALVA OCEAN ECO 90 H2 has already stated they plan to use the electric superyacht for commercial use, including private and corporate events, plus charters to showcase that environmentally safe, luxury sailing is possible. ALVA Yachts CEO Holger Henn spoke to the company’s latest build as well:

We are very happy to have found such a confident and innovative client that pushes us to explore new technologies. This project would not be possible without our classification partner DNV which has established new ground rules especially for us because this has never been done before. In addition to DNV, our engineering partner iYacht has surpassed our expectations when faced with such advanced engineering challenges. What is special about this project is certainly the leap that we are making in technology. A superyacht that can operate without fossil fuel is something we could only dream of. But with the help of strong partners and a lot of effort from the ALVA team, we want to show what is possible in boat building today.

As previously stated, ALVA’s first OCEAN ECO 90 H2 is already in production, and it is expected to make its maiden voyage in late 2024.

MC60 - Style and performance

Since first being presented at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival, the MC60 has seen three units built. Not a bad commercial performance for such an exclusive catamaran. The nacelle is designed ‘open space’ in line with current trends, but as for the rest, the MC60 is nothing like the others: a very specific topside form, high-tech mast support strut to distribute the loads, tempered glass panes, sliding side windows, no forward beam, sail-trimming flybridge set aft... it’s impossible to remain indifferent! In the hulls, the cabins offer volume and comfort without compromising performance thanks to a generous sail plan and superb centerboards.

SUNREEF 60 - Welcome to the world of luxury

The Sunreef 60 is undoubtedly reminiscent of her big sistership, the 80 - this model of the same generation is in a way the best-seller of the range. The exterior lines bear close resemblance, as does the flybridge, the vertical side windows and the coachroof-bimini shape. The interior (2,420 sq ft/ 225 m²), the saloon and the cockpit merge into the hydraulic platform, which extends them into a terrace. The cabinetwork is remarkable. The in-house design team has considerable experience in listening to customers: each unit is different. High rigid bulwarks, and forward interior helm station with panoramic view also characterize this model.

MOON YACHT 60 - Loads of volume - made to measure

While this imposing 60-foot catamaran discovered at the Cannes Yachting Festival may lack finesse in the design of its superstructure, it does offer exceptional overall volume for its size. The same goes for the sunbathing areas, which are absolutely gigantic. In this category, only the Sunreef 60 is able to compete with this new model unveiled at the Cannes show. This isn’t a totally insignificant comparison, because Moon Yachts also happen to be built in Gdańsk, like Sunreef... The interior layout can be planned according to the Owner’s wishes. An 80-foot sailing version and powercats have also been announced by the manufacturer.
