SERENE Yacht – Dreamlike $400M Superyacht

The impressive yacht was designed by Espen Øino International, with interior design by Reymond Langton Design.

Built by shipbuilders Fincantieri, SERENE was delivered in 2011 from their Muggiano-based shipyard. The superyacht is the epitome of luxury and offers an excellent yachting experience.

 British designer  Reymond Langton Design  penned the interior design of the SERENE yacht. The superyacht can accommodate 24 guests across 12 cabins in 1 master suite, 1 VIP, seven doubles, and three twins.

There is accommodation for 62 crew on the 134m yacht that ensures that guests have a lavish and luxurious experience.

The yacht’s amenities include seven swimming pools, an underwater viewing room, and a health spa.

The beach club stretches almost throughout the interior length of the yacht, providing an excellent indoor-outdoor area for guests to enjoy on the water level.

The beach club features one of the most advanced swimming pools built onboard a superyacht.

A dedicated children’s playroom makes the yacht a family-friendly yachting experience for guests. There is an indoor climbing wall, a top deck with a wet bar, and a jacuzzi.

The SERENE yacht has another spa pool on the sun deck for relaxation on the water, surrounded by sun loungers.

The yacht also has two helicopter pads. The fun features of the yacht include a pizza oven and a teppanyaki grill on board. The yacht’s interior is defined as modern and luxurious with attention to detail.

The yacht also features many social spaces for guests to use and a conference room to conduct business on board.

Espen Øino International penned the expert exterior design of the SERENE yacht.

The 134m vessel presents an imposing with six decks, a blue steel hull, and a white aluminum superstructure. She was built by  Fincantieri  in their Muggiano shipyard and delivered in 2011.

An impressive display of underwater lights emphasizes the yacht’s exterior during the night.

The yacht was the first ever to be built by the Italian shipyard, which had primarily focused on commercial ships before.

The 133.9m superrich has a beam of 18.6m and a draft of 5.6m. She has a massive volume of 8321 gross tons powered by 8 MTU engines.

With a range of 5000 nautical miles, she has a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

The SERENE yacht is one of the largest yachts in the world; at the time of her delivery, she was placed at the 9th largest yacht in the world. She has a $25 – $35 million running cost per year.

Built for a Russian owner under an extreme blanket of secrecy, Serene, the first yacht from Fincantieri, the large Italian commercial shipyard in Muggiano, Italy, was launched in September 2010 with completion, blue hull paint and sea trials in 2011. She is the largest yacht ever launched in Italy and features more than 4,000 square meters of interior space among seven decks, plus two helipads and a hangar. She reportedly carries a 100-metre submersible. Standout features include a sauna and adjacent snow room for a true Nordic experience.

Her top speed is 20.0 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 6000.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two MTU diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 staterooms, with 52 crew members. She has a gross tonnage of 8231.0 GT and a 18.6 m beam.

She was designed by Espen Oeino International , who also completed the naval architecture. Espen Oeino International has designed 69 yachts and created the naval architecture for 17 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Reymond Langton Design , who has 34 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

SERENE is in the top 5% by LOA in the world. She is one of 70 motor yachts longer than 100m, and, compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her top speed is 0.3 kn above the average, and her volume 1093.92 GT above the average.

SERENE is currently sailing under the Cayman Islands flag, the 2nd most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 1406 yachts registered. Serene is a 134 metre motor yacht which was launched in 2011 by Fincantieri Yachts, and is believed to be one of the most technologically advanced in the world.

The Fincantieri Yachts team developed the Serene project from a groundbreaking concept design by Espen Oeino with the interior spaces designed by Pascale Reymond from Reymond Langton Design.

She has seven decks, a hangar and two helicopter landing pads, a large sea-water swimming pool and a tender garage suitable to fit a submarine.

Delivered in 2011, she is one of the largest yachts in the world and a benchmark in technology, innovation and style, not to mention winner of the World Superyacht Awards 2012 in the 3,000-tons-and- above category.

Fincantieri could not have had a more spectacular debut in the sea’s most exclusive market segment with a project reflecting the importance they place on the sea, technology and owner satisfaction.

Serene has been built to meet SOLAS regulations (Safety of Life at Sea), under the supervision of the Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and finally registered under the brand new, at that time, PYC (Passenger Yacht Code).

The Serene is a culmination of more than 50 years of strong growth and creativity by Fincantieri whose base of operations is in Italy where it all started. Although, Fincantieri is only celebrated it’s golden anniversary they have had more than 7000 vessels constructed and 200 years of actual shipbuilding experience within the companies that make up the shipbuilding firm known as Fincantieri. The largest yacht that has ever been built in Italy the mega yacht Serene is a grand achievement for both the shipbuilder and its ultimate owner. The history of the Serene Yuri Shefler has entertained some of the wealthiest people in the world aboard the Serene. Bill Gates chartered the Serene for the cost of $5 million a week so he, Melinda and their three kids could enjoy some private family time together in August of 2014. They vacationed off of the coast of Porto Cervo, Sardinia, according to Boat International . This lavish yacht is the design of Espen Oeino, in charge of the exterior design, which offers a sleek profile. The interior is the creation of Reymond Langton Design. Shefler was the first owner of the yacht, but he sold it to Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabian royalty in 2015 for the sum of 50 million Euros. Just two years after the purchase, there was an incident of concern involving the Serene. Due to propulsion failure and human error, the Serene ran aground in an area of the Red Sea notorious for shallow rock reefs. The hull at the bow was damaged requiring significant repairs. The incident took place in August. The Serene was made available for charter by Shefler during the times that he wasn't using it himself. This luxury yacht is absolutely packed with amenities.
