E. G. Van de Stadt

Ericus Gerhardus van de Stadt (1910-1999) was one of the pioneers of modern yacht design. (Extract from the book: “E.G. van de Stadt YACHT DESIGN PIONEER”) In 1933, he and his wife Lies started a boatyard at Zaandam, where they lived aboard a houseboat, designing and building canoes and dinghies. They developed a successful business despite the set back of World War II, and not overcoming their starting losses until 1950. Among many innovations in yacht designs: the wing section fin keel and balanced spade rudder combination, the first very fast plywood yachts, the world’s first series production fiberglass yacht, and the world’s first maxi - “Stormvogel”. Although he participated in the development of the IOR rule, he later resigned from the International Technical Committee in protest over the US dominance in offshore racing rules as well as his feeling that the rule was fostering a less than seaworthy type of yacht. He was reserve helmsman on the Dutch Olympic sailing team in 1936 and was very successful in offshore racing for many years. In 1978 he sold his boatyard to Dehler and spent the rest of his career concentrating on design. After his retirement, Van de Stadt Design was run by the partners Cees W. van Tongeren, Hans R.F. Korner, Klaas Buis, Walter Galjaard and Anita de Vos. E.G. van de Stadt and partners continued to produce many designs and have been at the forefront of research into yacht aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. The company has produced over 400 designs since 1933 and there are some 25.000 van de Stadts afloat in the world today.

VAN DE STADT MADEIRA 46 BESCHREIBUNG Biete eine VAN DE STADT MADEIRA 46 zum Verkauf an. Unsere BIJOU wird von Oktober 2024 bis zum Frühjahr 2025 in Almerimar (Costa del Sol) mit uns an Bord überwintern und dort zu besichtigen sein. Das Boot ist aus technischer Sicht, wie auch aus Sicherheitsaspekten mit allen für die Langfahrt erforderlichen Extras ausgestattet, um ein Leben an Bord für längere Zeit sehr angenehm, komfortabel und vor allem autark gestalten zu können. Die BIJOU ist sehr gepflegt und wird regelmäßig gewartet. Sie wird ausschließlich von uns privat genutzt und ist seit 4 Jahren unser ständiges Zuhause. Diese VAN DE STADT MADEIRA 46 ist ein Unikat. In der Werft MEKON (Lemmer/NL) wurde das Stahl-Kasko (Rundspant) von 2001 bis 2002 gebaut, in Enkhuizen von SCHOONEMAN lackiert und vom 1. Eigner in fast 10-järiger Bauzeit fertiggestellt. Eine Dokumentation der Bauphase kann man unter "Weitere Infos" sich ansehen. Wie das Schicksal so wollte, konnte das Boot von ihrem Erstbesitzer kaum genutzt werden. Als wir 2013 die VAN DE STADT übernahmen, waren mal gerade 50 Motorstunden angezeigt. Die BIJOU ist für die Langfahrt konzipiert und eine äußerst stabile Hochseeyacht, gut ausbalanciert, so dass sie sicher zu zweit gesegelt werden kann. Alle Manöver können direkt aus dem Cockpit gefahren werden, wobei zwei elektrische Anderson ST-52 (zwei Geschw.) und zwei manuelle Anderson ST-46 (zwei Geschw.) die Arbeit erheblich erleichtern. Hinter dem festen, mit Sicherheitsglas versehenen Dockhouse (Stahl) sitzt man auch bei schlechtem Wetter sicher und trocken. Die VAN DE STADT MADEIRA 46 ist mit einem 7/8 Rigg – Kutter getakelt ausgestattet. Der SELDEN Aluminiummast ist ein gefeilter Mast und lässt sich somit hervorragend trimmen. Der SELDEN Baum mit SELDEN Rodkick (mit Gasfeder) ist mit einer integrierten LED-Cockpitbeleuchtung versehen. Das Achterstag wird mit einem HASSELFORS Achterstagspanner justiert. Die beiden Vorsegel werden mit je einer 300S bzw. 200S FURLEX-Rollreffanlage bedient. Das gesamte laufende Gut einschließlich der Blöcke sowie die Hauptwanten wurde 2020 erneuert. Das durchgelattete Großsegel mit 61 m² kann über drei Reffs aus dem Cockpit verkleinert werden, wobei das 1. + 2. Reff über ein Ein-Leinen-Reff-System und das 3. Reff über eine Vor- und Achterliek-Reffleine bedient werden. Das Großsegel wird mittels Maindrop-Systems mit Lazy Jacks geborgen. Für die Fock und die Genua gibt es jeweils eine Schutzpersenning. Bei den Vorsegeln handelt es sich um ein High Aspect 105% Genua mit 46 m² (wovon zwei baugleiche an Bord sind – genutzt als Passatsegel am Doppelvorstagprofil mit zwei Spi-Bäumen) und eine Kutterfock mit 25 m². Ein asymmetrischer Spinnaker von 137 m² mit Bergeschlauch vervollständigt unsere Besegelung. Das große Cockpit mit 3 großen Sitz-/Liegeflächen bietet viel Platz. Im Sommer durch ein Bimini beschattet und im Winter durch eine Kuchenbude geschützt, lässt es uns das ganze Jahr auf unserer BIJOU komfortabel leben. Die 3 riesigen Backskisten (eine Backskiste mit fast Stehhöhe auf Stb. und zwei Backskisten achtern) bieten einen enorm großen Stauraum. Das Deck ist mit rutschfestem Treadmaster, der Cockpitboden und die Cockpitsitzbänke mit 10mm Teak versehen. Der gesamte Rumpf ist mit einer feuerfesten 5 cm dicken Isolierung so isoliert, dass sich auch im Winter kein Schwitzwasser bildet. Über die 4 Lewmar-Luken und 10 -Fenster in Aluminiumrahmen, die sich alle öffnen lassen, kann das Schiff hervorragend belüftet werden. Die BIJOU teilt sich unter Deck in drei Bereiche auf. Das moderne Mahagoni-Interieur in Kombination mit den weißen Decken und Zwischenwänden geben dem Schiff eine besondere Note. Im Vorschiff befindet sich die Eignerkabine mit einem großen Bett von 2m Länge und einer Breite von 2,20m am Kopfende und 1,00 m am Fußende. Von hier hat man den Zugang zum Bad mit Waschbecken und Dusche. Der große Salon hat eine U-förmige Sitzbank auf der Backbordseite und zusätzlich zwei Sessel auf der Steuerbordseite. Alle Sitzflächen sind in Leder gepolstert. Die L-förmige Pantry ist ausgestattet mit einem Waeco-Kühlschrank mit kleinem Gefrierfach, Induktionsherd (3-flammig) sowie elektrischem Backofen, einer Microwelle und einer großen Arbeitsfläche mit einem Doppelspülbecken. Zusätzlich an Bord haben wir eine 50 L Waeco Kühl- Gefrierbox. Im Achterschiff befindet sich auf der Backbordseite die Achterkoje mit einer Länge von 2,00 m und einer Breite von 1,80 m. Auf der Steuerbordseite das 2. Bad mit Waschtisch und elektrischer Toilette. Beide Bäder sind mit Boden- und Wandfliesen (deckenhoch) versehen. Im Winter lässt sich die BIJOU mit einer Webasto 90T Heizung mit Heizkörpern und Konvektoren mollig warmhalten. Alle Wasserstellen haben ein Kalt- und Warmwasseranschluss. Warmwasser wird über einen Boiler IsoThemp elektrisch oder durch die Webasto 90T erzeugt. Angetrieben wird die BIJOU durch einen gut zugänglichen Nanni 5.280 HE - 5 Zylinder - 62 PS Dieselmotor (Nanni ist die Marineversion der sehr robusten Kuboto-Dieselmotoren, die weltweit in den meisten Baumaschinen verbaut sind). Über ein ZF Z5M ZB Getriebe wird die Propellerwelle aus Edelstahl (wassergeschmiert), die mit einem Varifold dreiblättrigen Faltpropeller verbunden ist, angetrieben. Der Motor ist mit einem doppelten Kraftstofffilter, Ladeluftkühlung und Nassauspuff ausgestattet. Die Reisegeschwindigkeit unter Maschine beträgt ca. 6,8 Knoten bei 2000 U/min, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei ca. 8 Knoten. Die Energieversorgung ist so ausgelegt, dass man auch längere Zeit völlig autark auf dem Schiff leben kann. Die Bordspannung ist 24 V (Service-Batterie 600 Ah /24V-VICTRON LiFePO4), 12 V für einige Navigationsgeräte und VHF und 230 V (VICTRON Inverter 3000W). Bugstrahlruder (Doppelpropeller Elektro-Bugstrahlruder von 8 PS) und Ankerwinsch (QUICK ANTARES 1500 W) je 24 V sowie der Motor (12 V) haben jeweils eigene Batterien. Geladen werden die Li-Batterien über Landstrom und ein VICTRON skylla-i 80 A Ladegerät, die Starterbatterie über ein VICTRON blue Power-Ladegerät. Bei Maschinenfahrt lädt eine 12 V / 70 A-Lichtmaschine über einen Ladebooster die 24 V Li-Batteriebank. Das Schiff ist galvanisch getrennt durch einen VICTRON Trenntrafo. Vor Anker werden die Batteriebänke über Solarpanele mit einer Gesamtleistung von 1000 Wp und einem SilentPro 400+ -24 V Windgenerator gespeist, unter Segel zusätzlich mit einem SWITec-Hydrogenerator. Zum autarken Leben an Bord gehört auch eine Trinkwasserversorgung. Mit der Entsalzungsanlage von AquaTec AC 65 (230 V Hochdruckpumpe) produzieren wir ca. 65 L Trinkwasser pro Betriebsstunde. Die Navigation besteht aus den RAYMARINE-Komponenten, Plotter C80, SMART S3G AST Kurscomputer mit einem Gyrokompas und einem hydraulischen Steuerradantrieb, 4 KW Radarantenne, den Anzeigegeräten ST60 speed, ST60+ Wind, ST60+ Echo und dem ST6002 Autopilot. Zusätzlich befindet sich am Navitisch noch ein FURUNO GP33-Plotter, ein EASY NAVTEX und ein lüfterloser Industrie-PC (24/7/365-Dauerläufer) mit Monitor. Im Masttop ist die Windfahne, ein Echomax Active-X Radar Echo Verstärker, die VHF-Antenne und ein LED 3-Farben Navigationslicht mit integriertem Ankerlicht montiert. Die Radarantenne ist auf einem Mast am Heck montiert. An dem Heckmast ist der Windgenerator, ein schwenkbarer Hebekran für den Außenborder, ein Suchscheinwerfer, ein Außenlautsprecher der VHF-Anlage und eine zweite VHF- sowie eine WLAN-Antenne installiert. Zur Kommunikationsausstattung gehören ein ICOM IC-505 VHF Marine Funkgerät, ein ICOM-Handfunkgerät, ein AIS easyTRX3 von Wheaterdock, eine Kurzwellen-Amateurfunkanlage BARRETT mit SCS P4 dragon PACTOR-Modem, eine YAESU KW-Anlage (beide KW-Anlagen über eine Achterstag-Antenne und einem Antennentuner SG-239 verbunden), ein Iridium-Satelittentelefon Extrem 9575 mit Dockingstation (Ladeschluss, GPS- und Außenantenne-Anschluss, Verbindung zum OPTIMIZER-Router und zum PC), eine STARLINK-Antenne mit Umrüstung auf 24 V- Spannungsversorgung, ein Samsung TV-Flachbildschirm sowie ein KENWOOD UKW-Radio mit CD-Player mit Innen- und Cockpitlautsprechern. Zur Sicherheitsaussattung gehören eine VIKING-Rettungsinsel RescYou Ocean-4 Personen, eine EPIRB1 OCEAN, eine Rettungsleiter, eine Rettungsbergeschlaufe, sowie Signal-Mittel. Das Ankergeschirr besteht aus dem ROCNA-33 Hauptanker gefahren an einem äußerst stabilen Bugbeschlag mit 100 m Kette (10 mm), einem CQR- Pflugschar-Reserveanker mit 50 m Kette (10 mm) und 100 m Bleiankerleine und einem FORTRESS Alu-Anker. Verkauft wir die BIJOU mit Pütt und Pann. Im Kaufpreis enthalten ist ein Highfield CL-290 Alu-Festrumpf Dingy mit einem 9.9 PS 4-Takt Mercury-Außenborder , sowie ein umfangreiches Ersatzteillager und Zubehör, dass sich hier im Einzelnen nicht alles aufzählen lässt. Kurzum – mit dem Schiff kann man sofort auf große Fahrt gehen.
