The building structure is arranged in a taught discipline of columns on a 3.7m grid. The house is a perfect square on plan made up of 5 x 5 bays giving a footprint of 342 sqm. The entrance is located on the axis and central bay. Roof and cladding modules can be moved to rearrange the plan and to add to as required by the owner. After the concrete slab was laid by a local builder the light aluminium and stainless steel frame was assembled on site by the owner and family in 5hrs 6minutes and 11 seconds.

Después de que el constructor colocara una losa de hormigón, el propietario y su familia montaron el marco de aluminio ligero y acero inoxidable en el lugar en 5 horas, 6 minutos y 11 segundos.

The building design is influenced by The Case Study Programme and in particular houses by California architects Craig Ellwood and Raphael Soriano.

Richard Horden designed the roller reefing canopies to fit the yacht inspired architecture. This was later developed into production by various Austrian, German and USA canopy manufacturers. The horizontal architecture nestles into the New Forest woodland location with views westward over the Avon river valley. The painter Augustus John’s studio can be seen on the distant hillside.

Foundation and work

Started in 2012, the foundation had 925 piles with a thickness of 1m, 60cm and 50cm with an average depth of 28m, approximately 1125 tons of steel. In November 2014 began the concreting phase, took approximately 9,000 cubic meters of concrete and placed the Yachthouse on the map as the largest concreting in Brazil, were approx. 1100 concrete trucks. Blocks have a height of 3.5m.Catarina, a unique place suitable for leisure and business.

Two apartments per floor of 265sqm private area, with a tested seafront 20m with the same depth, which will offer panoramic views, from one side to the sea and the other to woods and marina, private entrance hall, With 2 exclusive lifts for each apt, giving the feeling of 1 apt per floor, have smart plants, being square plants, which brings better distribution of rooms, with a circulation area of less than 6sqm. Right foot is 3.30 from slab to slab and 2.85m free;

One of the key rules of yacht design is that nothing is impossible, as our round-up of the best gardens on board superyachts proves. Whether it's making sure that the chef always has access to freshly grown herbs, or providing a place for superyachts pets to roam, bringing some greenery from the shore on board is a unique design feature that can provide a variety of functions. Despite the rugged exterior of Hakvoort explorer yacht Scout , the interiors by H2 Yacht Design are styled as calming spaces with whimsical elements such as the greenhouse. Owner James Berwind, who spends about seven months a year on board the 63.72 metre Scout with his partner Kevin Clark and their two dogs, is a keen gardener, so enjoys retreating to the bridge deck to care for the home-grown plants on board. This green space features an enclosed teak shade house with slats for hanging plants and flowers such as orchids in baskets to create a vertical garden. The area is also equipped with a potting shed to starboard with a sink and storage for garden tools and pots.

More about this yacht

There’s plenty of greenery throughout 136 metre Flying Fox , but especially in the saloon, where sprouting planters line the balustrade and giant weeping figs fill the corners. Interior designer Mark Berryman explains that Flying Fox ’s green spaces are connected with “a full irrigation system on board that is then linked down to the engine control room so that you can keep a check on what is working and if there are any problems there.” Each plant has a different watering schedule and individual program that ensures that the right quantities of nutrients are provided depending on the species. There’s also a specialised lighting system that produces the perfect amount of UV for each plant without bleaching other materials throughout the interior.

This vast tropical superyacht garden, comprising real grass and plants, makes you forget you’re sailing across the ocean on a 76.61 metre Amels . Located on the aft end of the upper deck, the space was styled by interior designers Terence Disdale and Sterling Scott . It is decorated with troughs containing soil for plants to grow and planters overhanging the deck rails. The garden was created at the request of Boadicea 's owners as many of their guests wanted to bring their dogs on board and give them a green space to roam in, but it also serves as a relaxing area in which the owners and guests like to enjoy afternoon tea.

Yachts for charter

Her colourful exterior is not the only thing that makes Peter Pan-inspured Sea Owl a green superyacht. To spice up meals on board, the chef can pick fresh herbs from the nifty garden on the superyacht sundeck of this 61.9 metre Feadship . Launched in 2013 by the venerable Dutch yard, Sea Owl features interior and exterior styling by British studio Winch Design .

Ocean paradise.

Living up to her idyllic name, the 54.9 metre Benetti superyacht Ocean Paradise has a calming Japanese Zen garden with bonsai trees in the main deck foyer to inspire a feeling of relaxation. Designer Mauro Izzo describes this area as “an element that expresses naturalness and vitality together” and the crew proudly tends to it on a daily basis.

A “dream” garden of real greenery — its sap replaced by a chemical mixture — hangs over the beds in the guest cabins on board this 42.4 metre Mondomarine superyacht Serenity . Styled by interior designers Fatima Ahmed Al Maidan and Luca Vallebona , this unique feature was one of the key reasons why Serenity was nominated for both the 2016 ShowBoats Design Awards and the 2016 World Superyacht Awards .

"I gave the interiors a very clean design so as not to overwhelm guests” Al Maidan details. “Each suite has its colour scheme matched by the bathroom’s onyx basin tops. Fancy touches are provided by richly decorated fabrics and decorative features such as the two vibrant green vertical gardens hanging above the beds in both double and VIP cabins.”

Stella Maris

A glass-enclosed vertical garden rising from the main deck to the level above makes 72.2 metre VSY Stella Maris a vision in green. Designer Espen Øino detailed that he wanted to “hit the perfect balance between form and function, innovation and technology, comfort and aesthetics”. From an engineering point of view, vibration reduction was particularly important, as this area sits directly above the engine room. The jungle-like cluster of tropical plants therefore provides a focal point as well as also filling up a vibration-laden space to create a calming atmosphere.

Renovations

Boldt castle improvement projects continue.

The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority, owners of historic Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House continues with its progression of improvements at the Boldt Castle Facilities. Visitors continue to enjoy the restorations made to the properties and the structures over the years. Staff works continuously on both upkeep and restoration of these facilities.

Boldt Facilities Rehabilitation Projects:

The Channel Side Fountain located on the south facing side of Heart Island was completed as the 2023 season wrapped up. This water display was not a previously existing part of the Heart Island structures but plans for a fountain in this location were in the original construction blueprints. Boldt Castle Craftsmen began construction of the fountain by demolishing and leveling a raised flowerbed that was in the location of the original fountain footprint. A concrete slab was poured, and water systems were installed to mimic cascading waterfalls when in operation. The focal point of the fountain is a 3’ x 4’ oval adorned with 19 th Century Venetian style dolphins and a “B” representing George Boldt’s insignia. All exterior granite masonry used on the fountain was found onsite at Heart Island and hand cut. If you look closely, you may even see a granite heart hiding in the stonework! This additional display adds a tranquil element to the visitor experience and provides another idyllic photo opportunity for guests.

Boldt Castle Craftsmen continue their extensive work on the Alster Tower Café. A new exterior entrance door for the Café has been put in place. Staff installed laminated glass in the seven new oak window frames built in the Boldt Landing shop and have installed the windows. A large curved oak interior top pocket door from one of the main entrances into the Café was restored. Work also began on the original mechanical system to operate the pocket door. The scissor-type hardware and the door were reinstalled.

The room’s interior was framed followed by the installation of tile backer board and plaster board. Subfloor was placed and the installation of the unique gutter system was completed. Over the years, Alster Tower’s stone exterior received widespread improvements including repoint, epoxying, grouting and water sealing. Despite these numerous updates, water is still absorbed through the facade and leaks into the interior. Craftsmen developed a gutter system that sheds all water that enters the ceiling to the exterior walls and basement. This greatly reduces the amount of water damage and repairs required to the Tower. Ceiling framing has been completed and interior walls were built and installed. Decorative ceiling panels were installed over the framing. Period fixtures including lights, sinks and plumbing equipment have been selected for the Café. Some winter work has included the restoration of the original ice box and general millwork for the Café. Restoration also began on the original cook stove hood. Craftsmen began work on a custom maple frame and support for the cast iron sink and also produced a maple worktable for the display space.

Original, but damaged wall tiles found in the room were duplicated by a local artisan. The five different Dutch-inspired scenes include ships, windmills and picturesque villages. These 6×6” tiles will be installed along the chair rail above the wall tile.

Construction of a new wastewater treatment plant for the Boldt Facilities began in September 2019 and was wrapped up in the late fall of 2020. While this is not an update visible to the public, this new plant will replace the old system and streamline waste removal from the Island through a more efficient and sanitary process better suited for the high volume of visitors received by the Castle and Yacht House.

Boldt Yacht House: Located directly across the water from Boldt Castle on Wellesley Island is the magnificent Boldt Yacht House. First opened to the public in 1996 by the Authority, the Boldt Yacht House is the last and largest remaining Yacht House on the St. Lawrence River. The Boldt Yacht House contains many antique boats, some of which were originally owned by George C. Boldt. The year 2009 witnessed the arrival of the steam yacht Kestrel, built in 1892 and donated to the Boldt Yacht House by Mr. John Luhrs of Luhrs Marine. Kestrel is 63’ long with a 12 ½’ beam and typifies the steam yachts of George Boldt’s era.

The first floor living quarters of the Boldt Yacht House are also open for viewing providing visitors with an exceptional experience as they tour this very special river landmark. The Boldt Yacht House contains antique boats, many displays, signs and pictures of boating and yachting on the St. Lawrence River. The Boldt Facilities work closely with the Antique Boat Museum to exhibit a collection of antique boats representing a grand era of boating on the St. Lawrence River.

The Yacht House received a significant interior lighting upgrade to enhance the displays and match what would have been installed originally. Black hat lights have been installed with vintage Led bulbs to create the original warm glow of the 1900’s period lighting. Led flood lighting has been installed to illuminate the tall vaulted ceilings.

In addition, the Boldt Facilities is slated to receive a new wastewater treatment plant. This extensive development is projected to be completed in 2020.

During the Authority’s 42 years of ownership of the former Boldt properties on Heart Island and the Boldt Yacht House on Wellesley Island, millions of dollars have been invested in rehabilitation and improvement efforts. At the same time the Boldt Facilities have hosted over 1,100 weddings and have counted over 7 million visitors to these historic properties providing the 1000 Islands International Tourism Industry with a substantial asset and demonstrating the Authority’s long-term commitment to improve and preserve these landmark properties for present and future generations to enjoy.

Past Renovation Projects:

In the past years numerous improvements have been accomplished, including rehabilitation of the Power House, Dove Cote, Heart Island Gazebo, Alster Tower, the Boldt Castle Yacht House, the main castle, and the Heart Island Entry Arch which is adorned with three, seven-foot tall stags (or deer) which are symbolic of the Boldt family crest.

The most recent improvements and completions to the main castle include George and Louise Boldt’s and daughter Clover’s Bedroom Suites located on the second floor of Boldt Castle. Past interior projects that have been completed include the Dining Room, Ballroom, Library, Billiards Room, Reception Room, installation of the Boldt Castle Elevator, completed Grand Stair Case and the Stained Glass Dome in the upper ceiling.

Another feature to Heart Island is the completely restored overlook, consisting of an elaborate 170-foot granite retaining wall on the island’s terraced grounds. The retaining wall and overlook are reinforced poured concrete punctuated with turrets and faced with native granite stone.

The Boldt Castle Theatre is located on the second floor of the Castle. Guests are invited to watch a new short movie on the life and times of George C. Boldt, Boldt Castle and the 1000 Islands.

Houseboat Design Concept

Smart, mobile and luxury. Houseboat or yacht house is designed to provide everything will you need for leisure on the water. With the dimensions of 4.9 meters wide and 11.8 meters long, it has a functional interior and exterior for various activities and full comfort in the middle of sea. 

Interior Design

When entering the Houseboat, you are welcomed with a covered patio that leads you to your bedroom. To ensure the full comfort, bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, washbasin, and a toilet. The interior of bedroom is designed to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere with warm tones and wooden panels above the bed. On the other side, you can enjoy a stunning view directly out to sea enabled through large floor to ceiling windows. 

Wardrobe closet is placed in the connection zone between living and sleeping areas. It is used as a dressing room, a storage where you can put away your clothes or wash it in a wash machine that is elegantly hidden behind the closet doors.  A hidden pocket door with a mirror, placed between closet area and the living room, can be used to divide the two areas of the house when you need additional privacy.  

Continuing to the living room, you enter a spacious room with calming blend of soft tones furnished with contemporary furniture. A wide expandable sofa provides additional sleeping space, a flat screen and large windows surrounding the living space ensure the gorgeous unobstructed view to out to the sea. To maintain the desired shade and comfort, as well as to give you the desired privacy when needed, all the windows have built-in retractable roller window shades. 

The kitchen is integral part of the living space. It is equipped with all modern appliances, a wine cabinet, mini dishwasher and the small electrical stove. Additional space is provided in the upper cabinets with specially designed lock system to ensure the maximum safety in the Houseboat. The dining area is designed as the extension of a kitchen countertop. 

A sliding glass door leads to a back deck which offers the perfect viewing platform for relaxing, reading, or laying on the sun. It has elegantly hidden foldable ladders that enable you to climb back to your houseboat after enjoying swimming in the sea. 

Exterior and Terrace

Fiber stairs connect living area with the most intriguing part of the houseboat – the  top deck . Designed for you to enjoy a dinner party with your friends or a romantic dinner with your partner, or just lay on the bed and watch the stars at night. The continuation of the living space onto the terrace creates a beautiful ensemble. A lovely spacious and multifunctional terrace offers a plenty of space for an outdoor bar, barbeque, and a cockpit.

Smart design ensures the efficient use of the space with plenty of sitting, dining, and sunbathing areas on a large sunbed in the front of the top deck. Clever storage solutions with lower cabinets built in the fiber body of the houseboat ensure maximum space utilization of the interior as well as the exterior. The entire top deck area is surrounded with glass safety railings to ensure the maximum feeling of safety on the boat. Part of the deck area is covered with six meters long roof which gives a sense of privacy and protects from the sun. 

The simple yet luxurious look is achieved by smooth, simple, yet elegant lines and shapes, and carefully selected materials and colors. The body of the Houseboat is made of fiber, combining aluminum windows with stainless steel details, glass and wood.

Selection and design of furniture with notes of soft-minimalism and high-quality materials with elegant form, create a sense of subtle luxury and a beautiful contrast to the outdoor surroundings. A refined abundance of warm textures and tones that are used throughout creates a deep sense of coziness and comfort.

Smart Technology

Thanks to the smart technology system, all devices can be controlled and monitored remotely. Door locks, tv, sound, cameras, lights, rollers, heating & cooling systems, and appliances can be controlled through one home automation system. Smart home appliances come with self-learning skills so they can learn your schedules and adjust as needed. The system can be installed on your mobile or other networked device. This system optimizes energy use in your houseboat making sure that you use them only when needed.  

Three floaters installed under the floor with two pod motors allow you to move your Houseboat at a low speed (up to 12 km/h) to a desired location. 

Transportability

Thanks to the modular design of the houseboat, all its components, including equipment and furniture, can be easily stored in two standard containers, and transported to almost anywhere on the planet.

Sustainability

Glass walls allow natural lighting to the houseboat. Fiberglass is an excellent thermal insulator which means it significantly reduces the need for added energy to regulate the temperature of the house.

All blackwater and greywater pass through a treatment station to finally return to the environment in conditions of physical, chemical, and bacteriological purity. 

Solar-Powered 

A 100% electric houseboat that takes all its energy needs from the sun. The roof of the houseboat is covered with fifteen solar panels that generate energy that is accumulated in a battery pack system and used when necessary. When charged, the house is self-sufficient for at least seven days.

Life and Leisure

A fully equipped kitchen for everyday use, a bar and a barbecue, sunbed with a bookshelf on the upper terrace for sunny days, guarantees a great living experience, whether you choose to use it as a base for numerous outdoor activities or simply as a treasure island to relax.

Social Distancing with gorgeous lake views and a unique experience for family vacation, romantic getaway, team building, or a fun trip with friends who want to be immersed in Nature and inspired by their surroundings.

The perfect place to watch shooting stars and spectacular meteor showers at night and wake up to a breathtaking sunrise. This is a water centric glamping experience for people interested being in nature on the water.

Our current location is in a beautiful cove next to Zip Line and Waterloo Adventures. It is an amazing spot with the hill blocking the wind and the sun during our hot summer days and sunny winter days it is quiet, calm, and peaceful and the lake is like glass.

We rent by the hour for special occasions and for overnight stays please confirm check-in and checkout times before booking.

The Houseboat-Yacht stays anchored in a cove this vessel is not a charter we do not take guests on a cruise around Lake Travis with this vessel. We have a couple of different pickup locations depending on the day and size of the group one pickup location is approximately a 20-minute boat ride and the other location is approximately a 5-minute boat ride or there is an option to paddle to the Houseboat-Yacht on one of our kayaks or stand-up paddle boards which is less than 10 minutes paddling.

The NaturaReserve 55-feet-long, 14-feet-wide, Deluxe Triple Decker Sustainable Airstream Houseboat-Yacht, with modern global style interiors. The lower room, main floor, and decks form a total of 1,700 square feet, providing plenty of space. Dark hardwood floors, aluminum walls, local Austin fossilized limestone countertops, and a staircase, in addition to carpeted and Astroturf decks/porches, are key features. Locally harvested bamboo and eclectic decor combine Greek, Mediterranean, Moroccan, and Indian influences to create a quiet and refined atmosphere. Lavender from our own farm throughout the property and an Aroma Bar with various herbs to promote wellness.

The property sleeps up to 18 guests and includes the Houseboat-Yacht which can accommodate 14 guests, and when there are more than 14 guests we will tie up a Bayliner Cruiser Yacht to the Houseboat-Yacht which can sleep an additional 4 people on two double Air-Mattresses located in the cabin.

The Houseboat-Yacht includes bedroom 1 with a king bed and a private bathroom with shower, bedroom 2 with 2 double beds, a toilet, 2 camping hammocks each sleeping 1 person, and 3 double air mattresses sleeping 6 people, making it possible to spend a night on the rooftop under the stars.

Please note that bedroom 2 has a LOW ceiling, requiring guests to CRAWL in order to access one of the beds. There is NO working oven but there is a newly purchased propane stove top burner and BBQ grill.

1 free Kayak and a Lilly pad float mattress are available upon request. Additional kayaks, canoes, and blow-up mattresses are available for rent upon request.

As of September 1, 2021, the Houseboat-Yacht is off-grid and electricity is powered by solar panels in addition we have a generator and a Goal Zero battery storage power supply as a backup

The Neighborhood

We are anchored next to Waterloo Adventures and Lake Travis Zip Line which is the longest and fastest zip line in Texas. The Oasis on Lake Travis is one of the most popular restaurants known for having the best Texas sunsets. Other popular places are Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant and Emerald Point Bar & Grill Marina which is one of numerous restaurants accessible by boat. For an additional fee we can provide transportation via Pontoon to any of the waterfront restaurants. The lake is a reservoir on the Colorado River in central Texas.

Your host will meet you upon check-in and check-out and will be available by phone 24/7.

Check-in time: Monday-Friday – 4pm, Saturday-Sunday – 5:30pm Check-out time: Monday-Sunday – 11am Early check-in or late check-out may be provided if available upon request. Any parties, events, or additional guests (other than guests who have paid to stay on the property) must be authorized by the property owner and additional fees will apply. Maximum capacity for events is 30-35 people. Propane BBQ Grill and burner is availble for large group events we recommend to only use the grill and burner for warming food up and not cooking. No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy

Once confirmed, the reservation payment is non-refundable. In case of bad weather conditions, the period of stay can be changed based on availability.

Refundable damage deposit

A damage deposit of USD 400 is required. The property charges this 14 days before arrival. You should be reimbursed within 14 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.

Text description provided by the architects. London based Robin Monotti Architects completed ‘Yacht House’ in September 2012. The 875 sq m contemporary building creates an outstanding feature on the Crimean shoreline.  It houses four rental apartments arranged around tall yacht storage at ground level, and connected by a staircase tower. The apartments provide spectacular views across the sea and the mountains, and a direct and immediate connection to the coastal environment that surrounds them.

In 2011 Robin Monotti’s Ukranian client acquired the site which lies within the Foros Shore resort owned by the Donetsk Steel Group. With a Mediterranean-like climate and dramatic scenery, the Crimea is known as the Russian Riviera. Foros is located at the southernmost tip of the Crimea, along the most sought after 30 km band of coastline in the Ukraine. Because of its enduring popularity, the area has a rich political and architectural heritage. Neighbours include the dachas of former USSR president Gorbachev and current Ukrainian president Yanukovich, and close by are magnificent palaces and churches from the Tsarist era.

Yacht House is a contemporary response to Russia’s dacha tradition. Robin Monotti’s design is uncompromisingly modern, but also open, playful and people focussed. This is important for a country that remembers the repressive Soviet regime and its association with brutalist architecture.

Brief The client initially required winter storage space for his 13 metre yacht. The client then decided to add three rental apartments and captain’s accommodation to make the most of the outstanding site. A significant challenge was how to design the building so that the apartments were not overpowered by the massive door required for the yacht.  Other challenges were presented by a steeply sloping site in a seismically active area, and its proximity to the sea which in bad weather could drench the house in corrosive salt water.

Solution The design commenced with a yacht room 7 metres wide, 15 metres deep and 6 metres high on the ground floor giving access via a 25’ door to a railed slipway in front.  To balance the 25’ door and enable dramatic, unrestricted views across the Black Sea, Robin Monotti proposed three distinctive volumes above and beside the tall boat house. By offsetting the volumes, the design provided a variety of terraces at different levels, extensive views and outdoor access.

“Yacht house is an organic composition” explains Monotti. “We started with the box for the boat, then added accommodation alongside, terraces, and finally the stair tower. But ultimately the building is about the nearness of the sea and the huge skies. We wanted people to experience their surroundings – the sound of the water, the sea winds, the changing light and moods, the changing temperatures, even the salty taste in the air – as if they were already on a yacht”.

The outside is brought inside by 9 metre wide floor to ceiling windows in the main apartments which provide almost seamless seascapes.  When the bi-folding doors are fully open the interior living spaces feel like shaded outdoor spaces.  Porthole windows continue the marine theme.

Glass railings to all balconies and terraces allow for uninterrupted views, and a shared 135 sq m solarium terrace on the fourth floor provides 360 degree views of the sea and the Crimean Mountains behind.  A variety of different outdoor terraces and balconies offer contrasting views over the surrounding landscape.

A tall stair tower links the floors and, with its slit-like windows, recalls the nearby defensive Genoese fortifications of Balaklava.  The narrow windows restrict light and views so that surprise and delight is enhanced when the main living areas, with their astounding light and views, are entered from the tower.  The slit windows also provide privacy on the side of the building that faces the resort.

The captain’s accommodation and the first floor flat provide studio accommodation, with two bedroom apartments on the third and fourth floor. The flats are fully furnished with high quality white Italian furniture.

Environmental Features The building is constructed of reinforced concrete throughout to make the structure capable of withstanding earthquakes and to provide additional protection against winter storms. There was a conscious effort to reduce light pollution in the outside areas. It was important that the focus for guests at night time would be on the natural landscape, in order for them to witness the reflection of the moon, stars and sea. An influx in outside lighting would restrict guests from engaging with nature and the surrounding landscape. Off-white paint was chosen for the exterior of the building in order to absorb the least amount of solar radiation possible, as well as to enhance the visibility of the building. Porthole windows to the sides of the building provide cross ventilation.

“Houseyachts” will be the next big trend in marine—if Reina Boats has anything to say about it, that is. The nascent U.S. outfit is launching a new line of vessels this fall that can serve as both yachts and luxury homes.

The pair didn’t just duplicate the “outdated” floating homes of the past, though. They set about designing a sleek vessel that would appeal to a new wave of discerning yachters.

“The existing houseboats were stuck in the design of the 1980s, and almost 90 percent of the houseboats on the water were commercially rented vessels,” Günal said. “They were boats that yacht and catamaran owners would never consider buying.”

The line includes five models that run the gamut from a utilitarian “floating RV” to a lavish two-story overwater condo. Ranging from 26 to 60 feet, the fleet members pair upscale decor and high-quality furniture with top-tier appliances and smart-home technology.

Reina’s houseboats aren’t restricted to lakes and canals, either. The fleet has met the U.S. Coast Guard standards and can take to the open seas. Crafted from marine-grade aluminum, the vessels have a similar hull design to a catamaran and should be as equally sturdy. Each one is powered by the latest generation of Mercury outboards that are reportedly greener than other conventional engines.

“They are fuel-efficient, remarkably quiet, and operate smoothly,” Günal adds. “They also are certified with an Ultra Low Emissions rating from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).”

On top of that, seafarers can choose batteries as an alternative power source instead of a generator to further reduce emissions.
