Holidays in a yacht club ?! Seems like a Hallmark movie in the making set in the beautiful city of Miami. Key Biscayne Yacht Club gave the perfect atmosphere to be cozy with your family and/or friends for Christmas. I went here for a work Christmas party. I enjoyed a pour of the Faust Cabernet before and during my meal. For appetizers, I ordered their ceviche - the saltiness of the fish with the sour lime was accompanied well with the mangoes. I ordered off the menu and got the special of that evening. It was a miso glazed Halibut set on a bed of lo mein. I love how the fish was very soft and tender and basically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered their seasonal sorbet to cleanse the palette. Our server was also very attentive. I believe when you are with a big group, there is a minimum of $100 to spend per person. Overall, you are paying for the experience and for the good food.

Excellent service and food! Staff were ver knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Came here with a group of co-workers on a boat and we had a great time. We sat in the outdoor area with the view of the water & boats. Our group ordered various appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Everything was fresh and delicious! My favorite desserts were the key lime pie and passion fruit sorbet - yummy!!

We got here on our boat and love the food. The view is gorgeous and the service is great

Spent the day at a corporate retreat in the third floor meeting space with views of the water. The staff was helpful. Audio visual setup was easy and convenient. We had lunch on the patio and ended the day long meeting with happy hour at their upstairs bar for a team happy hour. Lovely place and experience.

After taking the boat out with my colleagues in Key Biscayne, we ate at the yacht club and loved everything we ordered. For starters, I would highly recommend the fried shrimp, tostadas and calamari. I ordered the turkey club and hands down it was one of the best turkey club's I have ever eaten. There was a huge portion of turkey, avocado and bacon while the bread was cooked to a perfect crisp. The desserts were also incredible. I loved the tartness of the key lime pie and the cookies were an ideal mix of sweet and salty. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience here. The food here is better than a lot of the highly rated restaurants I have been to in Miami beach.

Went to the club on November 18th to see Ricky Valido and his band playing country music. The food and service were exceptional and the band was great! Social distancing and masks for all the staff and for all members not seated at a table. Beautiful view from the 2nd floor. The club looks spectacular and the staff, as usual, was wonderful!

New building open July 1 2020. Beginning a new era. Even with strict covid protocols we got a wonderful lunch with a menu with old and new options. Have to single out the tropical cocktails as being the highlight. Fresh juices all around. New pizza oven makes two types of pizza which is certainly the most economical way for lunch. The poke tuna appetizer is spectacular

So beautiful here. Enjoy the sunsets and water view. Have been several times with family. It is a club so you private so you either have to be a member or be invited with a member. The best part about this spot is the summer time events they host. We went for the BBQ cook off and although the ticket prices were very high it was a fun night!

The Key Biscayne Yacht Club is a private, members-only club located in Key Biscayne, Florida, USA . It offers a variety of amenities and activities for its members, including a marina, swimming pool, tennis courts, and dining facilities. The club also hosts sailing and powerboat races and events throughout the year. Membership is by invitation only and subject to approval by the club’s Board of Directors.

Founded in 1955, Key Biscayne Yacht Club has served the maritime and social needs of the growing, diverse population of Key Biscayne for over 60 years.

Key Biscayne Yacht Club Membership

Key Biscayne Yacht Club has 4 different membership categories.

Regular, Junior, Non-Resident and Associate.

The membership requirements are as follows:

The Key Biscayne Yacht Club was founded upon the notion of gathering “water-minded” residents in good sport and good fellowship, promoting social activities among members, and encourage common interests in boating. Membership is by invitation only for those who share these interests and would like to join our active community.

• The application process begins when a Regular Member requests an application form to sponsor an applicant for any membership category.
• Applicants must be sponsored by at least three Club Members, two of which must be Regular Members.
• Both Regular Member sponsors must personally know the applicant for at least one year.
• A current photograph of the applicant must accompany the application, and if the applicant is married with children photos of them must also be included.
• The application must be returned within sixty days of the day on which the process began.
• Associate and Regular Members may only sponsor four applicants per fiscal year, regardless of the membership category.

Upon receipt of the completed and signed membership application, each applicant’s name and photograph are posted on the Club’s bulletin board for at least twenty-eight days.

If there are no objections from the Club membership during the posting period, the applicant’s name is placed on a waitlist for the applicable membership category, in chronological order.

When an opening becomes available in that membership category the Membership Committee moves to interview the next applicant on the waitlist.

The two Regular Member sponsors will be present at the interview.

If the Membership Committee approves the applicant and their respective spouse, the application is then presented to the Board of Governors for consideration and final approval.

Marina facilities include: One hundred slips from twenty to sixty feet with water, ice, and sewage pump-out amenities, Dry slips for smaller craft, Two launch ramps, Hoist for boats up to 6,000 lbs., and more!

Fishing at Key Biscayne Yacht Club is reserved for Members and guests from the designated seawall. Cast Netting is permitted for adult Members Only from the Hacienda Floating Docks, for the sole purpose of catching bait.

Fishing from docked boats, from the docks themselves, or the Weaver property is prohibited. We offer fishing clinics for kids, and we are proud hosts to fishing tournaments throughout the year, including Ha Ha’s Working Man, Jorge Portela Memorial, Give or Take an Inch, Half-ass Fishing & Diving Tournament, along with Intraclub Tournaments. 

“Tennis Begins with Love.”– Anonymous. There’s tennis, and then there is Key Biscayne Yacht Club tennis. When our Tennis Committee set out to renovate our courts, they did so as sailors and yachtsmen by navigating the project with sunrise and sunset in mind.

From the early hours, when the clay is fresh and untouched until the sun comes down over the Biscayne Bay, and every match in between. The Key Biscayne Yacht Club Tennis Program includes two Har-Tru® clay courts, a ball machine and a shaded structure. The hours of operation are 45-minutes after the sun has risen until ten o’clock in the evening every day. Reciprocal guests are welcome!

While we are minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, our pool will always be a refuge for our Members and guests. The place where they will start or end their days. And why not, the place they might choose to spend a full day luxuriating. The Key Biscayne Yacht Club pool is forty by Sixty feet, and ranges in depth from three to six feet. Four lap lanes make way for serious swimmers and exercise enthusiasts.

Lounge chairs are arranged around the pool with roving umbrellas. Lifeguard hours are limited and change throughout the year. Enjoy outdoor cocktails and poolside fare at the Gazebo, located on the pool deck. The Gazebo is activated every weekend from day until night, in-season. The menu features conch fritters, ceviche, and burgers. Unplanned closures due to maintenance or lightning will be posted on the A-frame signs located at either end of the pool.

Members are welcome to launch kayaks or Stand-up Paddle Boards (SUP) safely from our dock. Biscayne Bay is the perfect place to kayak or propel yourself along the emerald waters aboard a SUP.

Experienced paddlers enjoy the journey across Biscayne Bay to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park which boasts a lighthouse and remarkable views of the Atlantic Ocean.

You may even see a pod of dolphins or manatee along the way! Launching Kayaks & Stand-up Paddle Boards from the ramps is prohibited.

Visitors are welcome to shop at our Ship’s Store! Shopping at sea is much more fun than shopping back home. Every purchase has a story and holds a memory. Curated for the discerning Sailor, visitors will need an extra seabag to take home Key Biscayne Yacht Club signature styles and mementos sold in our Ship’s Store.

For more than 50 years, The Key Biscayne Yacht Club’s youth sailing program has been dedicated to coaching and empowering the next generation of competitors and sailing enthusiasts. We offer a spectrum of individual and team training programs for kids from grade school through high school. We are proud of our “alumni” who have gone on to compete and win at national, international, and Olympic levels. That being said, we are thrilled to announce our new adult sailing program!

Key Biscayne Yacht Club Key Reciprocity

As an added benefit to their members and in continuing a great seafaring tradition, KBYC members enjoy reciprocity with 36 Florida yacht clubs through the Club’s membership in the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs.

KBYC is also a member of the Yachting Club of America, which gives KBYC members access to about 700 yacht and sailing clubs throughout the United States. In addition to these affiliations, KBYC has one-off reciprocal arrangements with various clubs throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
