Following refit and refurbishment in 2017/2018 her Alain Raynaud designed interiors are fresher than ever. Her 12 guests can take breakfast al fresco on the upper deck aft with a smoothie from the fully equipped bar then relax in the sun deck jacuzzi and lounge on the sun pads before blazing around on the watertoys.
Freshen up after a gym workout then meet for drinks in the upper deck bar. Share stories from the day in the forward-facing observation lounge before enjoying supper in the formal dining room. After dinner take coffee in the library, home to one of the yacht's two cosy fireplaces.
Having a twin cabin as part of the main deck master suite makes her perfect for guests with young children and two double cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck seal the deal: VIRGINIAN is the yacht of choice for families and friends.

City politics | youngkin’s amendment to virginia beach voting system bill faces opposition.
VIRGINIA BEACH — A bill that would enshrine Virginia Beach’s new election system into its city charter hangs in the balance of the state legislative process this spring.
SB189 would officially change Virginia Beach’s charter to reflect the city’s recent transition to a City Council consisting of single-member districts and the mayor. Previously, the at-large system allowed all residents to vote for every council district.
But Gov. Glenn Youngkin essentially delayed a decision, amending the bill to say it “shall not become effective unless reenacted by the 2025 Session of the General Assembly.” State Sen. Aaron Rouse, a Virginia Beach Democrat and the bill’s sponsor, said he plans to reject the amendment and send it back to the governor.
No matter what happens to SB189, Virginia Beach still plans to hold a district-based City Council election in November and for the foreseeable future, according to Deputy City Attorney Christopher Boynton.
The legislative process for amended bills differs from those vetoed. If either legislative chamber fails to agree to the governor’s entire recommendation on a bill, it can be returned to him as originally presented. Should the governor then veto the bill, the House of Delegates and Senate could override it so the bill can become law this year, but it would require a two-thirds majority in both.
“This charter change is just the last piece of this puzzle,” said Rouse, a former Virginia Beach city councilmember. “I find it unnecessary and interesting that he would have an amendment for this.”
Youngkin, a Republican, has made clear that he will keep pushing to advance an arena in Northern Virginia, which was left out of the Democrat-led state budget proposal. The governor is currently revising the budget. When asked if SB189, a priority for Democratic legislators, could be in jeopardy, Rouse said he has concerns.
“I don’t like to speculate,” said Rouse. “There are bigger things at play that he could use as leverage.”
Rouse and Del. Kelly Convirs-Fowler, also a Virginia Beach Democrat, carried identical bills in their respective chambers. While Rouse’s measure sailed through the Senate with unanimous support, Convirs-Fowler’s bill faced opposition from House Republicans , who argued the bill should not progress because of an ongoing lawsuit. It ultimately passed in the House in a 68-31 vote, with one abstention. If that level of support holds in both chambers, it would be enough to override the amendment.
Del. Barry Knight, a Virginia Beach Republican who voted against the bill, said Youngkin’s amendment is typical for a bill with action currently subject to litigation. A bill he introduced related to maintaining golf course grounds (HB1054) was continued until 2025 because of a pending lawsuit involving the former Signature at West Neck in Virginia Beach, he said.
“We technically don’t do any bills that are in litigation,” said Knight. “They’re not singling this one out.”
The city’s voting system was overhauled as a result of a lawsuit filed in 2017 alleging the at-large system allowing residents to vote in every council district was illegal. A federal judge agreed in 2021, finding the system unconstitutional because it diluted minority voting power.
In 2022, the city implemented 10 single-member districts, including three districts where minority voters formed a majority of the voting population. Amending the city charter to align with the election system overhaul requires General Assembly approval.
Rouse’s bill was among the first set of legislation to hit the governor’s desk. According to a March 8 press release from the governor’s office, Youngkin wants the bill reassessed next year after the potential resolution of the ongoing lawsuit.
Several Virginia Beach residents have filed a lawsuit in state court contending the city “illegally manipulated its electoral system by eliminating three at-large seats that are expressly established under the City Charter,” and deprived the rights of voters.
The city also faces a federal lawsuit contending it illegally changed its voting system prior to the 2022 election.
Virginia Beach is challenging the claims, arguing that Virginia law authorizes local governing bodies to increase and decrease districts during decennial redistricting, which takes legal precedence over the city charter provisions.
A hearing on the matter in state court is forthcoming, Boynton said.
Brandan Goodwin, attorney for the plaintiffs, said depending on the outcome of the hearing, he plans to file for a temporary injunction, which if awarded by the court, could potentially have an impact on the November election.
Goodwin has also said that the lawsuit will move forward unless the bill becomes law.
The Virginia House Democratic Caucus and the Virginia Democratic Committee have criticized the governor’s amendment.
“We should be doing everything we can to ensure that everyone has an equal voice in our election system, not preventing a locality from conducting the will of the people and making their electoral systems truly representative – especially when no other locality’s request was affected,” the caucus said.
Virginia Beach city leaders hope the bill will take effect this year.
“This item was included in City Council’s approved legislative packet following a robust community engagement campaign where a third party, randomly sampled, statistically representative survey found that 81% of our community supports the 10-1 system,” a city’s statement said. “The 10-1 system complies with the Virginia Voting Rights Act, and it was successfully used in the 2022 elections.”

Virginia Beach yacht, 75-foot, catches fire, 3 people on board rescued in dramatic fashion
The yacht was towed by the virginia beach fire department, assisting the coast guard, to fort story, a military base on virginia beach..
A 75-foot-yacht off the coast of Cape Henry in Virginia Beach caught fire, forcing its occupants to jump into the water, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
Mayday call for "a recreational vessel on fire" came in around 3:30 a.m. Friday, a spokesperson of the U.S. Coast Guard told USA TODAY over the phone.
Motor Vessel Savage, a 75-foot-yacht, was on fire about two miles off the coast of Cape Henry.
Three adults who were on board the vessel jumped into the water and were later rescued by a pilot boat, said U.S.C.G.

"All three were picked up within approximately 10 minutes by pilot boats and no injuries are recorded," said the U.S.C.G.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department, assisting the Coast Guard, towed the boat to Fort Story, a military base on Virginia Beach, where it is still smoldering.
The fire department is fighting the fire from the shore, said the spokesperson, adding that the vessel is against a rock. The U.S.C.G. is also monitoring the situation, with a boat on scene.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, said the U.S.C.G.

MIAMI (AP) — A charter flight carrying dozens of U.S. citizens fleeing spiraling gang violence in Haiti landed Sunday in Miami, U.S. State Department officials said.
More than 30 U.S. citizens were on the government-chartered flight, officials said in a statement. It arrived in the Miami International Airport after the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince earlier this month urged U.S. citizens to leave “as soon as possible” as chaos grips Haiti.
Passenger Avlot Quessa, who lives in Boston, traveled from the center of the country to board the charter flight after going to Haiti last month for was supposed to be a weeklong trip to visit his mother.
“It’s just terrible … The suffering, you can only imagine,” Quessa told the Miami Herald of the nearby Caribbean nation. “Haiti is my homeland and it’s very stressful to see the homeland going through this act of violence, destruction … and they are our neighbors.”
Haiti’s main airport in Port-au-Prince remains closed following gang attacks that have raged through Haiti in recent weeks, pushing many people to the brink of famine. Government and aid agencies this weekend reported looting of aid supplies as the situation worsened.
The State Department announced Saturday that it would offer limited charter flights for American citizens from the less chaotic northern city of Cap-Haïtien.
Officials said they could not provide ground transportation to Cap-Haïtien and that U.S. citizens should consider the charter flights “only if you think you can reach Cap-Haïtien airport safely.”
“We encourage U.S. citizens still in Haiti who seek to depart to contact the Department of State using the crisis intake form on our website if they have not already done so,” the agency said.
People taking the U.S. government-coordinated flights must sign a promissory bill agreeing to reimburse the government.
Another passenger on Sunday’s flight, Marie Lucie St. Fleur, 69, of West Palm Beach, said she feels most at home in Haiti and it pains her to see what her homeland is enduring.
“I don’t feel well at all. I would like to live in my country and I can’t,” she said while sitting in a wheelchair.
The State Department said government officials in Miami were helping the newly arrived evacuees to determine their next steps.
The U.S. military last week flew in additional forces to bolster security at the U.S. Embassy, which is in a neighborhood largely controlled by gangs.

10 below deck charter guests who will never return to the franchise.
While the charter guests who appear on Below Deck have a great time while filming the show, many aren't invited back for a number of reasons.
- Some charter guests on Below Deck have caused unnecessary drama and won't likely return due to bad behavior.
- Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht faced backlash from Barrie, who called him two-faced.
- Former guest Dr. Francis Martinis will not return to Below Deck after he was arrested for faking prescriptions.
The Below Deck franchise has featured many charter guests since 2013, many of whom will never return . The Bravo series focuses on expensive charters with wealthy guests who have attitude problems and over-the-top demands. That includes Charter guest Alexis Bellino, who boarded Captain Lee Rosbach’s yacht with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. She was disrespectful and made everyone uncomfortable with her and Andy's PDA. She even insulted crew members after featuring on the show.
Like Alexis, Delores Flora from Below Deck season 8 was a terrible guest. Not only did she misbehave, but she also got drunk and s wam while intoxicated, which is not only not allowed, it frightened the crew members. Delores got kicked out of the yacht the next day. These guests created unnecessary drama on the boat and will likely never return like a few others from the franchise.

8 barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht.
Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow had a decent time in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. Despite that, they left with a bitter taste because of Captain Glenn Shephard. In 2021, Barrie participated in a podcast, Pita Party: The Podcast , where he claimed that Captain Glenn bothered him while using his phone .
Barrie said, “he (Captain Glenn) was a two-face b*stard,” adding that he just didn’t like his presence.
7 Frank Fay
Below deck mediterranean.
In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7, Charter guest Frank Fay had a thing for second stew Kyle Viljoen. He pursued him on the yacht, but unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last. Frank will likely never return to the series as long as Captain Sandy Yawn allows Kyle to work for her. Even if Kyle quits, Frank wouldn’t want to be in an environment that would remind him of his failed relationship.
6 Erica Rose
Erica Rose appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht two seasons in a row. Erica was highly offensive toward the crew member, as well as her husband, Charles Sanders, and to make things worse, she left the crew with a measly tip , leading fans to slam her on social media. Ultimately, Erica had to apologize for her bad attitude but never returned to give the crew the tip they deserved. Nobody on Below Deck Sailing Yacht would ever want to return.
5 Justin Guarini
Justin Guarini’s time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht was not dramatic at all; however, he’ll probably never return to the series. Justin wouldn’t return because he wasn't the primary guest. He joined his friend, Kim, who wanted to enjoy a luxury yacht trip. It was more of a one-and-done deal. Secondly, nobody recognized him at all. Viewers later realized who he was and how he was the runner-up on American Idol season 1. Justin is a theatre artist and has made a name for himself. However, it was embarrassing that so many fans had no clue who he was .
Below Deck: 8 Charter Guests With The Worst Attitudes
4 johnny damon.
Johnny Damon’s time at Below Deck Med was full of explosive moments. Once, he sent the food back, citing that the experience wasn’t “five stars.” On another occasion, his wife, Michelle, created drama by yelling at the owner of another yacht . Overall, the experience was simply terrible on both sides. Crew members didn’t love Johnny and his wife, and the couple didn’t respect the crew members. It is unlikely that Captain Sandy would want to host the couple again as long as she’s in charge.
3 Krystal Murphy
Former charter guest Krystal Murphy boarded Captain Lee’s yacht with her friends. She immediately began showing red flags, drinking, and just being a menace. Krystal fought with her friend, Chelsea, creating unnecessary drama. She even passed out and punched a friend in the face. Former Chief Stew Kate Chastain disliked serving Krystal and called her a “spoiled brat;” she wanted to throw her off the yacht. Nowadays, Krystal has seemingly become a more private person. It doesn’t seem like Krystal would want to be on TV again.
2 Steve Bradley
Below Deck fans should remember Steve Bradley as he made many appearances on the show. In Below Deck season 3, he wanted a foam party and demanded the crew to figure it out and follow his commands, acting like a king. In Below Deck season 6, Steve made more outrageous requests. Apart from being a wild guest, Steve was entitled and acted inappropriately at times . No Below Deck captain would want to host him again as he didn't come off as very likable.
1 Dr. Francis Martinis
Below deck mediterranean & below deck sailing yacht.
Dr. Francis Martinis from Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has a zero chance of returning. While the former charter guest didn’t have too many issues on the show, his personal life issues will stop him from appearing on Bravo again. According to TMZ , Dr. Francis and his wife, Jessica, were arrested for filling out fake prescriptions in December 2023 . The couple used the names of Below Deck stars and got caught red-handed. The Below Deck franchise would never want to welcome felons, especially when their mugshots are all over the internet.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
