The Ionian Island of Zakynthos embodies a patchwork of landscapes divided between wild, unspoilt coastline and lively cosmopolitan towns. Zakynthos, otherwise known as Zakinthos, Zacinto or more commonly Zante, is the southernmost island of the beautiful Ionian archipelago and is unique in its three distinct zones. The northwestern part of the island is dotted with barren mountainous peaks while the centre is green and verdant, scattered with the blossoming flora that prompted the Venetians to give it its name “Fioro di Levante” (flower of the East). The historical Venetian ruling is also evident in the islands charming architecture, most notably the coastal capital city Zakinthos which is renowned for its collection of Byzantine buildings, museums and traditional piazzas such as Solomos Square.

The southern part of the island is known for its Mediterranean party atmosphere, indented with luxury resorts and long stretches of white sands lapped by the warm Ionian Sea. Kicking off in Easter and running through until the end of October, this coastline is a hotspot for visitors and yachts of all shapes and sizes, though it is still possible to find some quiet solitude amongst the hustle and bustle. The Vasilikós peninsula is home to some of the most beautiful countryside, beaches and seaside towns in Greece to include the stunning city of Yérakas which only being accessible by water, has long attracted superyachts in search of a few days escape.

It is impossible to talk about Zakynthos without mentioning its crowing glory, Shipwreck Cove or Navagio Beach. This pocket of ice-white sand surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and impossibly blue waters is iconic in its beauty and one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Inevitably this makes it a very popular with tourists so make sure to head there first thing in the morning or late-afternoon – perfect for a couple of hours sunbathing followed by sundowners in deck. The island is also home to the protected area of Laganás Bay, one of the world’s key breeding sites for the endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtle. If you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of a hatchling taking its first tentative swim into the sea.

Port Zante is a 37-berth marina is presently the only one in the federation, offering berths for vessels up to 150+ ft. LOA with a draft of 15+ ft. on the western bulkhead. On shore, the marina provides power options of 120v at 30 and 50 amp, free rest rooms / showers, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour security. Customs is located at the marina office and the Immigration Office is also conveniently located close by.

Port Zante is a shopper’s paradise, boasting beautiful promenades and elegant shops that offer an eclectic blend of designer goods, jewelry, premium cigars, spirits, fine linen and souvenirs at duty free prices. Also offered is an amazing multi-cultural dining experience with selections from Chinese, East Indian, American and Kittitian cuisines. 

For those who enjoy watersports, the Port Zante Marina is home to the island’s best catamarans and scuba tour providers. 

Continuous growth and development has transformed Port Zante into the ideal cruise facility, and in turn has created superb conditions for economic growth in St. Kitts & Nevis. 

General Manager Keith Phillip is keen to attract more yachts to St. Kitts – especially in light of the superb feed-back from visiting captains and crew. 

Contact the marina office in advance to reserve the appropriate dock space. Low-sulphur diesel, gasoline and lubricants are available from the fuel dock, which accommodates up to 120 ft. yachts on the Western marina wall.

A second larger marina, is proposed on the Eastern side of Port Zante. This marina will form an integral part of a planned commercial development that will include a 70-room full suites hotel and dining, shopping and entertainment facilities. It is proposed that this full-service marina will accommodate vessels of 80 – 200 ft. LOA. 

Fuel Bunkering / Oils & Lubricants

Fuel inside the marina for yachts upto 70' with 12' max. draft. Megayacht fuelling  by arrangement on the 1100' long superyacht / cruise ship dock.

The Food Court

Finally, you can hire a luxury sailboat and visit the neighbouring islands of Zante which include Kefalonia, Ithaca and Lefkada for the most adventurous experiences.

Boats in Zante

 Zante is the third largest island in the eastern part of the Ionian sea and was among the first Greek islands in Europe to open to tourism. The island of Zante was also called the Flower of the East or ‘Fioro di Levante’ by the Venetians, the cultural influence has shaped the traditional spirit of Zante, today you can try some excellent wine varieties that were famous since the venetian times. The historical ruling of the Venetians is also clearly shown from the impressive architecture, Byzantine buildings, museums and traditional Piazzas. With beautiful verdant vegetation and lively springs, Zante has covered mountains with pine trees, offers pleasant walks within a wild beauty and thousands of mysteries waiting to be revealed by all types of adventurers. The town of Zante is the capital and main harbor on the east side of the island and was once governed by the Venetian Castle. For some beautiful sightseeing you can stroll around Solomos Square or catch a spectacular view in the village of Bohali where you can admire the Ionian Sea. This whole district has a magical setting at night and is surrounded by whitewashed houses and bougainvillea in blooming hills. On the northern side of the island, the village of Volimes has scenic views, you can even spot the island of Kefalonia. Olive groves, vineyards and rich agricultural products can be found on this side of the island. Some natural beauties you can enjoy during your boating holiday in Zante include, the isle of Agios Sostis in the bay of Laganas, the isle of Marathonisi which is filled with marine life, the famous Shipwreck Beach which took its name from a ship transporting illegal cigarettes back in 1983 ( also left ashore in the same position today by sailing in poor weather!) and the Stone park of Askos which is a wildlife reserve filled with flora, fauna and is an area of habitation for animals. To simply avoid the crowds and spend other ways for an exciting adventure, select your favourite yacht for your group and go for an authentic island experience in the Ionian Sea, you will notice a lot of super yachts in the beaches and seaside towns also searching for days of escape.

Boat rentals in Zante usually depart from the main port and town, allowing you to visit the shipwreck beach and the blue caves on a full-day cruise. The shipwreck beach is roughly 40 minutes away and a just over an hour from the port of Tsilivi. Whichever starting point you select you will be able to explore impressive beaches and rocky caves on the southwest part of Zante. Some great beaches for a stop worth mentioning include St. Andrews Beach, Sr.Nikolas and Xigia Beach recognized with its ancient roman thermal spa.

Some other great secluded beaches great for swimming and snorkeling are Lithari and Makris Gialos which are best accessed by sea. With your motorboat or speedboat, you can also make a stop at the famous Blue Caves of Zante which you can enter and witness some beautiful colors from the deep waters. Alternatively, you can sail towards the white beach of Turtle Island also known as Marathonisi island where you can spot caretta-caretta turtles as well as seals and dolphins. Perhaps hiring a boat with a skipper in Zante will be best in this case as they know the area well and can spot those beautiful marine animals with a sharp eye as they hoist the sail with a steady hand. Since it is situated in the Gulf of Laganas, the small island can make a great day or two-day cruise. There are almost no people so you will feel like you are in complete isolation away from all the crowds. Some great stops during your private boat cruise include Keri Lake resort for lunch, your trip can even continue where you can explore the Cave of Poseidon making stops to Kampi and Porto Vromi on the way. For some sightseeing you will be able to spot the Venetian WatchTower and even make stops to the harbor villages of Mikro Nisi and Agios Nikolaos, a lot of boat trips also run from here to the blue caves or the neighbouring island of Kefalonia.

For a more intense island cruise where you will get to explore many more destinations, heading to Kefalonia you will come across many untouched traditional villages such as Fiskardo and lush greenery everywhere, with some spectacular beaches that tops the charts in the Ionian, some of which include Xi and Myrto Beach. You can also head to the village and harbour of Frikes in Ithaca which has a superb beach and some great taverns and restaurants ashore. From Itahca you can easily make stops to Sivota, Skorpios, Spartochori, Atoko and Tsilivi which are all close to each other and ideal for those seeking an oasis of peace in the Ionian Sea. Your island hopping experience would be complete if you sail towards Lefkada and then Corfu which are connected to the mainland and offer a beautiful seaside resort with sheer cliffs, top beaches with turquoise waters, traditional villages with a cosmopolitan touch and a vibrant lifestyle that has continuously brought visitors Internationally.

VVIP Events Zante Ltd are a UK company operating successfully since 2013. Your deposits are held in a trust account and if your holiday or flight is cancelled we will of course refund you.

No other boat party in Zante will ever even consider refunding you, even if they cancel due to bad weather or ‘engine problems’.

VVIP is the longest running boat party in Zante (since 2013) and our success has been the inspiration for every other operator.

VVIP remains the biggest and most popular event on the island due to our stunning venue - a triple deck Super Yacht that's 150 foot long from bow to stern.

There is nothing in the same league available to party onboard in Zante.

No. There are 100% no games played. VVIP Yacht Party is a music event, think of it as a floating night-club.

Our venue is the best available for a boat party in Zante. You can go out to sea on a triple deck Super Yacht with 400 people and enjoy a boat party with a great reputation run by professionals who’ve been doing this for 10 years.

Or you will end up on a daytime booze cruise, crammed on a boat totally unfit for purpose with one shared toilet and you will be absolutely kicking yourself.

With up to 10,000 people in resort peak season, we simply don’t have enough spaces to cope with demand which is why you need to reserve.

You pay the balance and pick up your tickets in resort at our office which is at IKON Nightclub on the main road in Laganas.

You can pay in either sterling or euros, whatever is easiest for you. We can also deliver if you are at the top of the Strip or at a villa somewhere.

If you arrive on the day of an event we will organise to meet you at the door to give you your wristbands.

You pick up your tickets in resort from our office on the main strip at IKON Club. We can also deliver if you're at a villa.

If you arrive on the night of an event, for example late on a Sunday we will meet you on the door.

Nowhere in Zante asks for ID and there will be no issue being served or drinking alcohol anywhere in Zante.

The pre-party starts at 3.30pm at Karma Day Club. Air conditioned coaches begin to arrive 4.15pm and we have everyone onboard by 4.45 pm when we set off.

We cruise the coastline, visiting our private beach for a swim stop and beach party, then sail off into the Sunset around 7.45 pm. We get back to Zante around 8.50 pm for the transfer back to Laganas.

Yes, our Shot Squad will get you tipsy with our champagne guns and premium vodka shots. We offer a subsidised bar which serves QUALITY alcohol only, no Rushkinoff!

No, we are on the leeward side of Zante, the sea is like a lake and the yacht is huge. Nobody has ever been sea sick.

No we serve no food although we may introduce Pringles this Summer.

We definitely prescribe a light lunch to line the stomach before the pre party.

I would settle for something a little bit smaller Mondeo.

Not interested in or would want a yacht but the £400 mill would come in handy & be enjoyable. Just think what I could do with that amount, Not only for my family but a few very personal charities I would love to help.

A couple of years ago we just missed seeing Roman Abramovich‘s yacht (The Eclipse) that had docked in Zante harbour for a spell which is some 40 mtr’s longer than the Katara mentioned above. When we went down to see it, there was another super yacht at the quayside. Not knowing then which yacht was actually Abramovich’s I asked one of the crew who was hosing and brushing down the side of this yacht is this Mr Abramovich’s, oh no Sir he replied she sailed out earlier and is twice the size of this one L.O.L. On another occasion years ago Ronaldo the Brazilian ( not the Portugese Ronaldo) footballer had his yacht at anchor out in Alykes bay for a few days, oh for that kind of lifestyle. I love boating, fishing, in fact everything to do with the sea.

Anytime you go out to sea you should check what boat you're going to be onboard. There's a lot of hype and wild claims about boat party's in Zante, you need to look through all of that and check out the boat you will be on.

VVIP is on a custom built, 3 tier Super Yacht that holds up to 400 people comfortably.

There is nothing in the same league available to party onboard in Zante.

Our office is at IKON Club which is in the middle of the main Laganas Strip and open all day all Summer. If you arrive late on an event night then we will meet you at the door of the event.

So for example, if you arrive late on a Sunday our team will be at The White Party (Karma Day Club) waiting for you.

If you're outside of Laganas and just book the VVIP Yacht Party we can meet you at the Port and if you're at a villa somewhere we can drop tickets to you.

Given that Mark Zuckerberg enjoys a respectable 16th place on a list of the world’s richest people, he probably figured it was time for him to acquire one of the ultimate status symbols for the mega-wealthy — a super yacht.

A new report from The Sun said that Zuckerberg is now the proud owner of a $300 million vessel that he has christened “Launchpad.” The 387-foot-long vessel, which comes with a helipad and a $30 million companion boat, was seen docked this week at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with its unique chrome finish reflecting in the sun.

This purchase shows, among other things, that the Facebook and Meta founder and CEO has branched out from buying islands and building an underground complex to help him survive the apocalypse. Perhaps, he wants to cruise the Mediterranean this summer and be among the moguls who can play host to Leonardo DiCaprio.

The yacht definitely grants him admission to the watery playgrounds of such multibillionaires as Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, Bill Gates and any of the Russian oligarchs who haven’t been the target of sanctions imposed by the United States or its allies over Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

In fact, Zuckerberg reportedly came by Launchpad due to the misfortunes of one of those oligarchs. The yacht originally was commissioned to be built by Vladimir Potanin, one of Russia’s richest men who is on multiple sanctions list, according to a report by Autoevolution.com , a transportation industry site. The yacht was known as Project 1010, and the shipbuilder in the Netherlands was legally barred from delivering it to Potanin when it was completed in 2022, though Autoevolution also said that Potanin was not the yacht’s actual owner.

It’s not known when or how Zuckerberg acquired the yacht. Autoevolution reported that he had been seen at the Feadship shipyard in the Netherlands in December, showing “a clear interest in Project 1010.”

The Sun reported that the yacht recently received “special permission” to be imported. It has since arrived in the United States, a couple months ahead of Zuckerberg’s 40th birthday on May 14 — which raises the question of whether he meant Launchpad as a birthday gift to himself.

It’s quite a gift: Launchpad can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard. It also requires a crew of 48 and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com . But shelling out $30 million for maintenance a year shouldn’t be a problem for Zuckerberg, who reportedly earns between $6 million and $12 million a day, The Sun said.

But as spectacular as Launchpad sounds, super yacht fans might say it’s not as spectacular as Jeff Bezos’s super yacht, Koru. The $500 million sailing vessel features very tall masts, a swimming pool, a helipad and room for a second, smaller yacht. The most noteworthy thing about Koru is that Bezos commissioned a special sculpture to decorate its prow. It’s a “curvaceous winged goddess” that is said to bear a striking resemblance to his fiancee Lauren Sanchez.

The Amazon founder, his wife-to-be and the goddess figurehead spent much of last summer sailing around the Mediterranean, cruising from Spain to Croatia and hosting such famous guests as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Usher. The couple also threw a lavish engagement party off the coast of Positano on Italy’s Amalfi coast, attended by another pack of famous friends, including Kris Jenner, Wendi Murdoch and, yes, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Ah, luxury yachts —constantly vying for attention like competitive siblings at a family reunion. Enter Lexus with their latest creation: the LY 680 yacht. It’s like the LY 650’s cooler, more sophisticated sibling who just got back from a gap year in the Mediterranean and now boasts an expanded flybridge and swimming platform.

The design of the LY 680 closely mirrors that of the LY 650, which is far from a drawback considering the latter’s reputation as one of the most aesthetically pleasing products in the Lexus lineup . The flybridge has been extended by a substantial 1,400 mm (55 inches), providing ample space for relaxation and activities, including a spacious lounge sofa and a barbecue grill.

Additionally, the swimming platform at the rear has been elongated by 700 mm (27.6 inches), allowing for easier watercraft parking and more room for ocean plunges.

After the redesign, the yacht’s length now stretches to 20.66 m (67 ft 9.4 inches), compared to its predecessor’s 19.94 m (65 ft 5 inches) footprint. The LY 680 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, available in a choice of two outputs: 1,050 hp or 1,350 hp for each unit, or up to 2,700 hp combined. Lexus boasts that the LY 680 delivers ‘stable maneuverability, excellent ride comfort, and quietness,’ all par for the course for vessels of this size.

The spacious and luxurious interior remains unchanged, featuring a kitchen and comfortable seating area on the main level. We can also see the master bedroom and another living room underneath. In total, there are three rooms and up to six beds available. According to Lexus, the luxury yacht should feel like a “hideout in the middle of the sea, providing a space where discerning customers can feel free and at ease”.

The Lexus LY680 is exclusively available for order in Japan through the Toyota Marine sales offices and select dealers. Production will be handled by superyacht manufacturer Horizon Group in Asia, with the first deliveries anticipated in the spring of 2026. While Lexus has not disclosed pricing details, it’s anticipated to be in line with the previous model, which was listed at around $3.5 million before taxes and options

Interested parties can explore a 1/20 scale model of the LY 680 at the Japan International Boat Show in Yokohama. Depending on customer demand, Lexus may contemplate broadening the yacht’s availability to international markets.
