Description

We took a tour around the Moon Yacht 60 at the Barcelona Boat show and were pretty “wowed” by the finish and the space. If you looking for a luxury 60 footer, you get a lot for your budget with this yacht.

She’s a well proportioned luxury catamaran that comes in 3 main versions, a semi-custom build.

1) 6-cabins with individual bathrooms and crew quarters in the forepeaks 2) 3 standard plus 2 master suites with individual bathrooms and crew quarters in the forepeaks 3) 4 master suites with individual bathrooms and 2 bow magazines and crew quarters in the forepeaks

The living space is huge with the aft dining area, saloon and forward cockpit all merging together on one level. And then you have the flybridge, with 360° of all four corners of the yacht: another big space for lounging and entertaining.

But the main story is the finish on this Moon Yacht catamaran. We will let the images do the talking on that front.

SUNREEF 60 ECO SURREAL SOLAR POWER BREAKTHROUGH

Surreal is a recently launched Sunreef 60 sail catamaran combining the shipyard’s expertise in luxury catamaran design with the latest Sunreef Yachts Eco  green tech solutions. 

The new  Sunreef 60 Eco Surreal, is the first 60 foot catamaran that was equipped with in-house developed composite-integrated solar panels built into the yacht’s hull sides, superstructure and bimini roof, maximizing solar power generation and offering unrivalled energy efficiency for long, vibration and fume-free navigation as well as for the appliances on board.

With a thickness below 1mm, the ultralight solar skin is the industry’s lightest and most efficient solar power solution.

Thanks to their advanced integration technique,  Sunreef Yachts Eco  solar panels have a very high resistance to shock and abrasion. The catamaran was also fitted with a powerful custom-engineered battery bank.

The luxury sail yacht welcomes up to eight guests thanks to a smart and spacious 4-cabin layout. With a fully-equipped galley placed down in the starboard hull, the catamaran’s saloon offers generous lounging and dining areas. The custom designed interior and furniture are both contemporary and timeless.

The catamaran’s alfresco relaxation spaces include a large flybridge with a wet bar, a sunken lounging area on the foredeck and a full-beam aft cockpit with a big swim platform.

The flybridge on board Surreal welcomes guests to an immense lounge with a bar and a large c-shaped settee.

Meet the VisionF 60

VisionF Yachts has introduced the VisionF 60, a catamaran expected to begin deliveries in spring 2024.

The boat is a fiberglass build with a nearly 33-foot beam and a draft just over 2 feet that is projected to have a top speed of 21 knots.

“Clients can choose between having the galley on main deck or in one of the hulls, and from multiple accommodation options, including four or three double cabins—including a spacious master stateroom—with two doubles and a kid’s cabin, or a guest cabin can be used a gym,” VisionF Yachts founder Coskun Bayraktar stated in a press release.

Relaxation spaces include the foredeck lounge and dinette, alfresco dining on the main deck and a flybridge with sunbathing space.

Standard power will be twin 360-horsepower Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels for a projected top speed of about 21 knots. Solar panels can be added to the deckhouse for additional power generation.

When is construction expected to start on Hull No. 1 of the VisionF60?In early 2023. Look for owners to start taking deliveries in spring 2024.

Kite sail system

Adding the option of a fully automatic towing kite gives the 60 Series the opportunity to make use of the wind without shading the panels. Being able to design the 60 Series with an exclusive owner’s suite on the 3rd deck us unique amongst 60-foot catamarans. The suite itself is fully equipped with an en-suite bathroom and measures 23 m² in size. It also gives direct access to the 36 m² lounge area in the aft.
