Enzo superyacht overhead

New pictures: Interiors of 115m Lürssen Ahpo revealed

Delivered in 2021 to much acclaim, the 115 metre Ahpo is one of the most exciting new additions to the global fleet, but her interior has remained a guarded secret – until now. As she joins the charter market with Moran Yacht & Ship , we shine a spotlight on her jaw-dropping interiors and onboard amenities with a selection of newly released images.

Ahpo was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship  in 2017 to a repeat Lürssen client and began construction under the codename Project Enzo, a nod to the owner's love of Ferraris. Her striking, supercar-inspired exterior and serene interior come from the drawing boards of Nuvolari Lenard, which marks the third collaboration between the shipyard and designer, following the 86 metre Quattroelle . Ahpo' s sharp profile is characterised by a crisp white hull contrasted by stripes of black, with distinctive scoop-shaped windows along the hull line and tapered decks.

The 5,000GT yacht’s name means “grandmother” in Hakka Chinese, and the name is displayed across the side of the bow, along with the emblem of the yacht. Usually, a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter sits on the foredeck, one of two helicopter landing spots on board.

Her interiors borrow inspiration from the natural world, with plenty of calm colours, soft lines and organic patterns. Nuvolari Lenard has also maintained a continuous connection between the indoor and outdoor worlds throughout the superyacht, with a fluid layout and plenty of glass.

“ Ahpo ’s design language is all about connecting her six decks – both the naval and tech elements with the living space – into one whole,” said Nuvolari Lenard co-founder Dan Lenard. “Her three decks integrated into the high bow guarantee sea-keeping in true ocean conditions, while also allowing her an innovative full-beam owner suite duplex.”

The waterfront beach club-spa hybrid is another of the yacht’s most impressive features. An unfolding sea terrace is adjoined by a lounge area, curved bar and a turquoise-tiled dip pool. In the overheads, segments of blonde wood carve out leaf shapes. Next to the spa area, guests will find a private massage room with a frosted glass screen adorned with bamboo.

The aft deck plays host to a large winter garden that can be completely opened or closed at the request of her guests. Foliage surrounds a table that can seat up to 16.

Throughout the yacht, Nuvolari Lenard has taken great care to ensure a high level of detail. To this end, even the cherry blossom wallpaper is hand-crafted by an expert artist.

In terms of entertainment, Ahpo volunteers a 12-seater cinema with LED star-studded ceilings and navy box seats. On the upper deck, guests will find an eight-metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi and spread of sunpads, as well as a vast gym with equipment emblazoned with Ahpo 's emblem.

Elsewhere, the yacht features cutting-edge technology and engineering systems, including a heat recovery system in the generators to heat the swimming pool and Dynamic Positioning for electronic anchoring. The yacht’s two custom 12-metre IC Yacht guest tenders, plus rescue tenders (and a complete suite of water toys) are all hidden in a forward garage to save the transom area for the beach club.

Ahpo is available for exclusive charters with Moran Yacht & Ship starting from €2,500,000.

Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven and The A group developed a 115 metre explorer concept. The extraordinary APEX has a range of 9000 miles, carries two 20 metre tenders and a helicopter in its own hangar.

APEX is a 115-metre long and 18.50-metre wide full custom yacht with a volume of around 8000 gross tons. The robust exterior of the explorer was developed by The A Group from Monaco, the naval architecture comes from Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven, where APEX will also be built. The concept behind this extraordinary yacht is called "without limits". No area is too remote or too rough for APEX not to reach.

André Stegmann, Senior Project Manager at Lloyd Werft, comments: “APEX meets the demand of today's customers for stable, spacious and at the same time extremely robust yachts par excellence: the bow, which is almost four decks high, can cope with the heaviest weather and is also ice-going.” Up to 22 guests and 48 crew members travel on board and could cruise up to 9000 nautical miles non-stop at 16 knots.

The exterior of APEX explains Matt Pegrum, Yachting Director at The A group, as follows: “It is characterized by large open spaces, especially at the stern. Standout features are two extra  large  and 20 metre long tenders parked to the side of the superstructure and launched via cranes and the infinity pool that forms the transition from the helipad to the party deck.” Even the side walls of the 12-metre pool are glazed and extend over the height of nearly an entire deck. Contrary to the rather open stern view, APEX gets a massive bow giving the explorer a powerful identity as well as a "ship-like" character and ensuring APEX safely reaches her destination even in very rough conditions on open sea. The yacht's exterior look is also defined by large window areas consisting of the largest panes ever used on a yacht.

Behind the glazing, APEX's superstructures provide 2400 square metres of luxurious living space for owners and guests. The interior design will  be completely customized to the owner’s requests.

The A group developed an extremely progressive and unparalleled general arrangement for APEX that already amazes in the aft section. Beneath the fully certified helipad APEX shows a dedicated hangar for the helicopter to safely carry it even in adverse conditions. Also aft and at waterline level you will find the spa area including gym and massage room; a multifunctional room a bit further in front can be used as an infirmary. Guests sleep on the main or upper deck, with two of the four VIP suites each sharing a private saloon. The owner uses his own deck with dressing rooms, bathrooms, an office and a lounge, from which he has direct access to the party area and the infinity pool at the stern. Very remarkable are the two salons of APEX. On the upper deck, it has a spacious dining table for up to 26 guests. On the main deck, there is a cinema/conference room to port and an entertainment area to starboard with various game tables, including one for pool or snooker.

Ahpo, the 115-meter superyacht is for sale

115 meter yacht

M/Y AHPO is listed for 330 million Euros with yacht brokerage Moran Yacht & Ship, who also negotiated, sold and managed the build on behalf of her owner.

AHPO will be on display at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show, running from February 15th – 19th at IGY Yacht Haven Grande at Island Gardens and will be the largest yacht ever exhibited at a North American boat show.

115 meter yacht

Commissioned by an experienced and knowledgeable owner, the 115-metre Lurssen yacht was delivered in 2021 . AHPO is the second yacht that the team at Moran Yacht & Ship have built for the owner over a long productive relationship.

Ahpo can accommodate 16 guests across eight staterooms . She has a further four staff cabins for pilots, a nanny, or bodyguards and is attended to by a professional full-time crew of 36 .

115 meter yacht

Moran Yacht & Ship broker, Kevin Callahan , said that M/Y AHPO is a one-of-a-kind yacht with incredible build quality and meticulous attention to detail throughout. “The thought that went into her design and layout, along with the sheer number of materials used throughout, is incredible, ” Callahan enthused. “The yacht’s guest amenities are world-class, from her full-service spa and beauty room to her gorgeous beach club and full-beam gym, one of the best gyms ever put on a yacht.”

He added: “She will appeal to an active owner or larger family as she has been purposefully designed to maximize family life and time spent on the water. Building a similar vessel would take around five years, so this is an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire an almost new superyacht – with the major machinery still under warranty – that is truly unmatched.”

Exterior & Interior Design

AHPO’s exterior and interior design is by Nuvolari Lenard , a prominent Italian luxury yacht design firm. One of the most striking exterior features of M/Y AHPO is her elegant half-moon windows and crisp white hull contrasted by sweeping stripes of black.

Her interiors are designed with elegance and comfort in mind, with soft-toned and contemporary style furnishings throughout. Natural lines and organic patterns create harmonious spaces that encourage relaxation and foster a connection with nature.

Her many features include a fully commercial helipad, a penthouse-inspired two-storey owner’s suite, an eight-metre swimming pool, several Jacuzzis, a 12-seat cinema with LED star-studded ceilings, and a large winter garden on the aft deck that can be completely open or closed. Her garage is filled with just about every water toy you can think of, along with five supporting tenders, including two 12-metre one-off tenders from I.C. Yachts.

M/Y AHPO boasts cutting-edge technology and engineering systems, including dynamic positioning for electronic anchoring, zero-speed stabilizers, and Low E glass and heat recovery systems to reduce power consumption and ultimately the amount of emissions generated.

According to Callahan, AHPO has proved a popular charter vessel and was well received during her first Mediterranean charter season, with charter destinations, including the French Riviera, Spain, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica, Greece, and Turkey. She has also cruised extensively around the Caribbean, including Jamaica.

The success of her inaugural Mediterranean charter season proved that her operational costs can be significantly offset without difficulty.

The concept therefore features a long tapered bow and canoe-styled stern to echo the design of the aforementioned ancient transportation vessels. Igor Lobanov and OceAnco have worked together before. Two projects that come to mind are "St Princess OLGA" now called "Amore Vero" and the 110-meter "Jubilee". The Tuhura concept has an automotive feel to it as well finessing the tear-drop heavily.

115 meter yacht

The exterior design will gain a lot of attention simply for its odd shape and conception but the interior is one that is also different. Achille Salvagni was brought onboard to design the interior of the Tuhura concept. The interior features inspiration from East Asia and Pacific Island areas. Salvagni describes the interior as a ‘brushed teak habitat’. The wide use of timbers on the interior should create a sense of peace and natural disposition. Fine details emerge from the wooden enclaves onboard such as revelations of Gunmetal and natural Bronze .

115 meter yacht

The interior is interesting and so is the yacht in general and will appeal only to a certain type of potential customer. " Tuhura is a megayacht conceived for a dynamic owner, nevertheless the timeless sense of peace and calmness are the main characteristics," says Salvagni. "This softness and dynamicity are reflected in the humble elegance and sensuality of the primitive organic shapes echoed throughout." The superstructure is not very tall, in fact it is a single deck, keeping the overall profile of the yacht low. The top of the superstructure offers a sizable sun deck with a Jacuzzi, longitudinal seating and al fresco dining.

115 meter yacht

Some of the other cool aspects of the yacht will not be immediately seen as these features directly relate to the propulsion systems. ABB is onboard with the project and has envisioned a hybrid Azipod system that features a contra-rotating propulsion system (CRP) that is expected to produce an 18-knot speed. The canoe-shaped stern necessitated high-tech solutions.

115 meter yacht

The exterior design has a lot of hidden features and tricks, some that stare you in the face and you still cannot recognize them…yet they are there. One such feature are the windows in the hull. Yes, there are windows in the hull even though they are not visible. From the interior, the view out is clear but from the outside, it blends in seamlessly with the hull formulating a clean slate for a hull surface finish. It has been conceived with multiple horizontal windows that utilize specially made glass that contain series of dots.

115 meter yacht

Lobanov Design is responsible for the exterior; Achille Salvagni worked the interior concept and BMT on the Naval Architecture with OceAnco. The concept is 115-meters long with a draft of 3.9-meters. If it were to be built, the vessel would be constructed to LY3 large Yacht Code. A client that enjoys pushing boundaries and breaking the mold, wanting something totally different to what already exists, will be a key candidate for this type of yacht. Onboard, she will be very smart in many departments especially as it relates to lighting, HVAC, audiovisual, temperature etc. For more information: Oceanco Shipyards Marineweg 1 2952 BX Alblasserdam The Netherlands www.**************** ***

What Size Yacht Requires a Crew? (For Different Lengths)

While smaller yachts can be operated by a single person, larger yachts require a trained crew to operate them safely. Different types of yachts also have different crew needs, which can depend on the yacht's size, features, and intended use. In this article, we'll let you know what size yacht requires a crew, and how many crew are needed for different types and lengths of yacht.

Yachts that are over 30 feet in length require a crew to operate them safely. A yacht that is 100 feet in length requires a crew of at least four to six people, including a captain, engineer, stewardess, and deckhand. Meanwhile, yachts that are under 30 feet in length can be operated by a single person.

Recreational yachts are typically smaller and used for leisure activities like fishing, cruising, and water sports. Since these yachts are usually 30 feet or smaller, they can be operated by a single person without a crew. Let's see how many crew members are needed for other types of yachts.

  • If the yacht is under 30 feet and is being used for recreational cruising, a crew of two is usually sufficient.
  • A 90-foot yacht with multiple decks and luxury amenities may require a crew of 8–12 people, including a captain, first mate, chef, stewardess, and deckhand.
  • For sailing yachts between 30 and 50 feet, a crew of four to six is typically required.
  • A small superyacht may have a crew of around 20 people, while a larger one may require a crew of 50 or more.
  • The cost of hiring a full-time yacht crew can range from $50,000 to $200,000 per crew member per year.

115 meter yacht

On this page:

Crew requirements for different yacht sizes, yacht types and their crew needs, the cost of hiring a yacht crew and the role of each member.

The size of the yacht is a key factor in determining whether you will need a crew and how many crew members you will require. Below is a table summarizing the crew size requirements for different yacht sizes:

Crew size for yachts under 30 feet

Yachts that are under 30 feet in length are generally small enough to be operated by a single person. However, you still need to have some experience and knowledge of boating to operate them safely. It is also recommended to have at least one additional person on board for safety reasons.

If the yacht is being used for recreational cruising, a crew of two is usually sufficient. You may also need to obtain a recreational boating license depending on your location.

Not sure how to get a boating license? Find which state you're in and get a boating license here.

Crew size for yachts between 30 and 75 feet

Yachts that are between 30 and 75 feet in length may require a crew. These yachts are designed to be operated by a small crew or a couple, with one person serving as captain and the other as crew.

If you have experience and the yacht has upgraded features like autopilot, you may be able to captain your own yacht without a crew. However, if you are new to yachting or the yacht has more advanced features, you may need to hire a crew.

115 meter yacht

For recreational cruising, a crew of two to four people is usually sufficient . For larger yachts, there may be additional crew members such as a chef, stewardess, or engineer.

Crew size for yachts over 75 feet

Yachts that are over 75 feet in length generally require a crew to operate them safely. The exact number of crew members you will be based on the size and features of the yacht.

  • A 90-foot yacht with multiple decks and luxury amenities may require a crew of 8-12 people, including a captain, first mate, chef, stewardess, and deckhand.
  • A 100-foot yacht with advanced navigation and communication systems may require a crew of 10-15 people, including a captain, engineer, deckhand, chef, stewardess, and possibly a security officer.
  • A 120-foot yacht with a helicopter pad, swimming pool, and other high-end features may require a crew of 12-20 people, including a captain, engineer, deckhand, chef, stewardess, helicopter pilot, and other specialized staff as needed.

Crew size for yachts over 300 feet

Bigger yachts require more crew members because they tend to be more complex and have more systems and equipment that need to be maintained and operated. Additionally, larger yachts typically have more amenities and features that require specialized staff, such as spa therapists, dive instructors, and security personnel.

A yacht that is 300 feet or more in length may have multiple decks, a helipad, a swimming pool, a movie theater, a gym, and other luxurious amenities that require a larger crew to operate and maintain.

In addition, larger yachts may require more crew members to ensure the safety of the guests and the vessel, especially when navigating in challenging waters or during adverse weather conditions. Larger yachts also often provide a higher level of service, which requires more crew members to ensure that every guest's needs are met.

Different types of yachts have different crew needs, which can depend on the yacht's size, features, and intended use. Here's what you need to know about yacht types and their crew needs:

Crew size for recreational yachts

Recreational yachts are typically smaller and used for leisure activities like fishing, cruising, and water sports. Yachts that are 30 feet or smaller can usually be operated by a single person without a crew.

However, larger recreational yachts, like those in the 50-100-foot range, may require a small crew for maintenance and management.

Crew size for sailing yachts

Sailboats are a popular type of yacht used for racing, cruising, and exploring. For sailing yachts between 30 and 50 feet, a crew of four to six is typically required. This crew would include a captain, a first mate, a cook, and one or two deckhands.

115 meter yacht

For yachts over 50 feet, the crew size can range from six to 20 or more. This is because some yachts may also have additional staff, such as a chef, a stewardess, and a masseuse. These staff members are typically hired to provide luxury services to guests onboard.

One of the hidden costs of buying and owning a 50-foot yacht is the costs for staff and crew, which ranges around $50,000 - $150,000 per year.

Crew size for superyachts

Superyachts are the largest and most luxurious yachts on the market, typically measuring over 100 feet in length. A small superyacht may have a crew of around 20 people, while a larger one may require a crew of 50 or more.

Larger superyachts with more amenities and more guests on board will require a larger crew to ensure that all aspects of the vessel are properly maintained and operated. The team will typically include a captain, first mate, engineer, chef, stewardesses, deckhands, and other specialized roles depending on the yacht's amenities.

Some owners may prefer a smaller crew to maintain a more intimate and personalized experience, while others may opt for a larger crew to ensure that all tasks are handled efficiently and to the highest standard.

Crew size for commercial yachts

Commercial yachts are required to have a crew size that is appropriate for the size and type of the vessel, as well as the number of passengers on board. The crew size can vary greatly depending on the yacht's size, amenities, and intended use.

In general, larger yachts will have a larger crew, while smaller yachts may only require a few crew members. For example, a small yacht that is used for day trips or short-term charters may only require a captain and a mate. However, a larger yacht used for extended charters or as a luxury hotel at sea may need a larger crew.

The crew size for commercial yachts is regulated by various maritime authorities, such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG). These authorities have established minimum crew requirements based on the size and type of the yacht, as well as the number of passengers on board.

115 meter yacht

Based on USCG requirements, a commercial yacht that is less than 100 gross tons and carries up to 12 passengers must have at least one licensed captain and one crew member. If the yacht carries between 13 and 36 passengers, it must have at least two licensed crew members. For yachts that are over 100 gross tons, the crew size requirements will be higher.

A captain license costs around $700 - $800 , but this may vary according to the country as well as potential extras you might need to purchase.

Crew size for luxury yachts

Luxury yachts are designed for comfort and style, typically featuring high-end amenities like spas, gourmet kitchens, and entertainment systems.

Luxury yachts require a larger crew because they are typically larger, more complex, and more luxurious than other types of boats. A larger crew is necessary to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the guests have an enjoyable and comfortable experience on board.

Here are some of the reasons why luxury yachts require a crew of 10-30 persons:

Safety: A larger crew is necessary to ensure the safety of the guests and the yacht. The crew must be trained and experienced in handling emergency situations, such as fires, medical emergencies, and adverse weather conditions.

Navigation: Luxury yachts require a skilled crew to navigate the vessel safely and efficiently. The captain and crew must be familiar with the yacht's systems, equipment, local waterways, and navigation rules.

Maintenance: Luxury yachts require constant maintenance to keep them in top condition. A larger crew is necessary to perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing the yacht's systems and equipment.

Service: Luxury yachts are known for their high level of service and hospitality. A larger crew is necessary to provide guests with personalized service, including gourmet meals, housekeeping, and other amenities.

Entertainment: Luxury yachts often have a variety of entertainment options, such as water sports equipment, movie theaters, and music systems. A larger crew is necessary to operate and maintain these amenities, as well as to provide instruction and assistance to the guests.

The cost of hiring a full-time yacht crew can range from $50,000 to $200,000 per crew member per year. This includes their salary, benefits, and any other expenses associated with their employment, such as training and uniforms.

Here's a breakdown of the average annual salaries for different yacht crew positions:

The roles and responsibilities of the captain

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the yacht including navigation, safety, and communication with other vessels
  • Must have extensive knowledge of waterways
  • Must make quick decisions in case of emergency
  • Must hold valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) issued by USCG
  • For yachts over 100 gross tons, a captain must hold a USCG license for appropriate tonnage and route
  • May need to hold specific endorsements, such as a towing endorsement or a radar observer endorsement

The roles and responsibilities of the captain engineer

  • Responsible for mechanical systems on board the yacht such as engines, generators, and other equipment
  • Must have a good understanding of how systems work
  • Troubleshoots problems that arise
  • Works closely with the captain and other crew members
  • May be responsible for managing inventory and ordering spare parts and supplies

The roles and responsibilities of the stewardess

The stewardess is the first point of contact for guests and they are responsible for the following:

  • Greet guests warmly and show them to their cabins
  • Provide information about the yacht and its amenities, as well as local attractions and activities
  • Clean and maintain guests' cabins
  • Make beds and ensure fresh towels and linens
  • Responsible for serving meals and drinks, setting the table, and clearing dishes

The roles and responsibilities of the deckhand

The deckhand is an entry-level position on a yacht and they work under the supervision of the first mate. They are responsible for a variety of tasks such as:

  • Cleaning the yacht and handling lines and fenders
  • Assisting with navigation and docking
  • Maintaining the exterior of the yacht, such as washing and waxing the hull, cleaning the decks and windows, and maintaining the yacht's equipment and machinery

The superyacht world is speculating that Mark Zuckerberg just bought this 118-meter boat

  • The 118-meter superyacht Launchpad made her maiden voyage last week.
  • The yacht world is speculating that her owner is Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
  • Here's what we know about the luxury vessel.

In the world of superyachts , privacy is the most valuable asset. It can be next to impossible to discern the details of a superyacht transaction — and that's particularly true if the vessel in question is worth nine figures.

Yet some in the boat blogging world are speculating that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the new owner of Launchpad, a megayacht currently moored in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after she made her maiden voyage from Gibraltar to St Maarten last week. Launchpad clocks in at 118 meters long, about nine meters shorter than Jeff Bezos' superyacht Koru .

The transaction could not be confirmed, with yacht world insiders declining to share what they know and representatives for Zuckerberg not responding to a request for comment from Business Insider. In the past, reports about Zuckerberg owning superyacht Ulysses have proven false.

"It is Feadship's standard policy to never divulge any information about our yachts with reference to ownership, costs, or delivery, etc," Feadship, the ship's builder, wrote to BI. "Whether it is an 18-meter Feadship from the 1960s or a 118-meter Feadship from the 21st century, we do not share private information."

But Zuckerberg's name has been connected to Launchpad for a few months now, beginning in December when reports swirled that he visited Feadship's shipyard in the Netherlands.

Then, earlier in March, yachting bloggers like eSysman SuperYachts and Autoevolution started speculating that he officially snagged the boat, originally built for a sanctioned Russian businessman, at a $300 million price tag. (While that's a seemingly huge amount, it's still less than 0.2% of Zuckerberg's $177 billion net worth.)

Another clue that might point to US ownership is that the yacht bears the flag of the Marshall Islands, a US territory and commonplace for American buyers to register their ships, according to public marine tracking.

If Zuckerberg were to have bought Launchpad, he would join a cohort of superyacht-owning tech billionaires . Along with Bezos, the likes of Oracle cofounder Larry Ellison and Google cofounders Sergey Brin and Larry Page have purchased impressive boats with even more impressive amenities.

SuperYacht Times , an industry publication and intelligence platform, has some of the best images of the yacht. Photos show a swimming pool on her main deck and a large helipad.

While less is known of the interior, a vessel of her size can likely sleep dozens of guests and crew and may have amenities like an expansive gym where Zuckerberg could practice his jiu-jitsu or a spa with a massage area. We suspect there's also space for plenty of toys — which could include his viral hydrofoil foil .

Essendon defends Peter Wright after Swans accuse Bombers of 'off the ball' tactics

Essendon coach Brad Scott has thrown his support behind Peter Wright and defended the Bombers' physical approach following their fiery 30-point loss to undefeated Sydney at the SCG.

Saturday night's match was barely four minutes old when Wright leapt into the air and landed a huge bump on Swans midfielder Harry Cunningham, who was left concussed.

Cunningham was taken from the field on a stretcher and subbed out of the match.

Wright, who was targeted with boos from the crowd for the rest of the match, faces a lengthy suspension after the Bombers' 19.17 (131) to 15.11 (101) defeat .

"I can't comment on issues that might be before the MRO," Scott said.

"I'm not going to talk about the incident but the only thing I can say is Peter Wright is a well-known ball player. He always has been, since he was a kid."

A Sydney Swans player receives medical attention after a collision in an AFL match against Essendon.

Wright was set upon by several irate Swans players, before more spot fires erupted after Bombers ruckman Sam Draper cannoned into Jake Lloyd and conceded a 50-metre penalty.

Scott spoke on Thursday of wanting his charges to display a combative "Essendon edge" but Swans forward Tom Papley, who starred with four goals and 24 disposals, accused the Bombers of overstepping the mark on Saturday night.

"They're trying to get after us, it's all off the ball," Papley told Seven Network boundary rider Cameron Ling at half-time.

"We're just worried about the ball. We'll keep being hard in the contest and get the job done."

Scott is adamant his team's premeditated belligerence was the best way to foil the Swans.

"Sydney have dominated the last few weeks and they've got a lot of players who are very slick and good with the ball in hand," he said.

"Their ball movement is very solid at the moment.

"If we just sat back and watched them do that, it was going to be a long, difficult night.

"We needed to combat that with some physicality in the contest.

"We could either make it into an athletics contest or we could compete in the contest and get the ball going our way."

Swans coach John Longmire was not surprised by the Bombers' aggression as he counts the cost of the loss of Cunningham for the Easter Sunday encounter with Richmond.

"They clearly came out with an intent in the physical space," Longmire said.

"They talked about it during the week and were very clear about the edge they wanted to play with.

"We knew they'd be coming with that.

"From our point of view it's going to be disappointing to miss Harry for a bit now."
