Should lucy edmonds return for below deck sailing yacht season 5.
Lucy Edmunds should return as a cast member on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 because her personality and commentary made season 4 a must-watch.
Lucy Edmunds has become a fan favorite and deserves to be on Below Deck Sailing Yacht again. The 23-year-old reality star is most popular for being the second stew on Parsifal III this season. Lucy is a Wales native and has worked in the hospitality business for many years. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising that she was a welcome addition to Captain Glenn Shephard’s Yacht due to her experience. Her looks and style also made her the perfect candidate for her job.
Lucy had an exciting journey on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 . She showcased excellent skills when she stepped on the ship and began caring for the guests. She also showed major discipline by not hooking up with anyone. One of Lucy’s explosive moments happened during the BDSY season 4 finale. The episode showcased her dealing with terrible charter guests. They threw up in the sink and didn’t even flush their toilets, leading Lucy to clean up their mess multiple times.

Lucy Was No Drama & She Got Along With The Whole Crew
Lucy has been part of the show for 17 episodes. Her professionalism is the first reason she should sail beside Captain Glenn again. During Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, the Wales native was never the center of the drama. She wasn’t romantically involved with anyone and only focused on her job. In June, Lucy opened up about her relationship with crew members and admitted she was “really close with them all.” She even forgave BDSY deckhand Chase Lemacks for his “motorboat” comment, showing her maturity.
Lucy Had Great Confessional Commentary
Great confessionals always add to the journey and make reality TV shows entertaining. However, not all cast members are good at telling a story. Lucy is a natural at it, and it shows whenever she speaks in front of the camera. Her facial expressions and dialogue are always spot-on and perfectly capture the mood. In one of the episodes, Lucy perfectly summed up her feelings after the charter guests left their room untidy. She said, “I am disgusted. There is blood on the carpet, clothes everywhere. It stank of fish. I’m not your ****ing maid.” She concluded by joking, “Well, I am.” Her self-awareness and impeccable timing make her a must-watch cast member.
Lucy Has Untapped Potential
Lucy deserves to return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht because she’s youthful and has a great personality. Unlike some older deck members, she is only 23 and has great potential. Viewers would love to see Lucy’s character unfold in the upcoming seasons. They would love to witness her fall in love with the right person and deal with more chaotic charter guests. Since the reality TV star is fun-loving and positive, it would be nice to see Lucy on Below Deck Sailing Yacht in the future.

"I'm not saying there is no possibility for long-distance, but maybe it's just too unrealistic." "I want to, obviously, keep in contact," Colin said to Daisy before the two left the boat. "I want us to be open and honest with each other, whatever we're feeling. And then we can see where it goes."
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast Reflects on Season 4
- Glenn Shephard
The captain dealt with multiple problems with the engine throughout the season. In the closing seconds of the finale, Captain Glenn revealed that there's hope for the sailing vessel to get back into tip top shape.
"I need a caterpillar complete engine rebuild kit," he said during a phone call. "Do you guys have one of those in stock? Seriously? Yeah, baby!"
- Colin MacRae
Colin discussed the difficulties he faced, from the engine issues to his love triangle with Daisy and Gary .
"This season has challenged me professionally, it's challenged me personally. It's challenged some of the friendships that I've got on the boat," he said. "I feel like I need a little bit of time away from Gary. There was trust that was broken, so I've got to reconsider this whole friendship with him and what it means to me, and what I think it means to him."
- Daisy Kelliher
The chief stew had the opportunity to share both her high and her low from the season.
"Our team having such a great relationship, it just makes my job so much more pleasant," she said about the peak of her time on Season 4. Her low, she added was "Glenn on [her] back," though she later said that she felt "really lucky" to have worked with him again.
"Maybe I should be more open-minded. Maybe I should reflect on the person I am..." Daisy said. "That was very hard for me."
After his drama with Daisy and Mads, Gary left the season wanting to focus on himself.

Mads Herrera
The stew decided that she wasn't interested in pursuing a relationship with Gary. She did, however, explore her connection with Alex. After kissing in the van on the final crew night out, Mads opened up about her feelings for the deck team member.
"Alex is flirty and fun and there was no drama between me and him," she said. "You know, he didn't make my life harder, so. I'm taking it one day at a time, and we'll see."
Mads Herrera Has a Really Surprising Take on Hooking Up with Gary King Over Alex Propson
Before she exited the sailing vessel, Mads also opened up about her charter season experience.
"A lot of things can go wrong living and working with people on a boat. You get to know people in a weird way. You know what their underwear looks like..." Mads added. "I don't really know what's next for me. But, if this taught me anything, it's don't screw the crew. It's just not worth it."
- Alex Propson
Alex opened up about his experience working on the boat.
"I don't really regret anything from this season," he said. "You go through what you go through. I think that all the problems with Parsifal and the speedbumps that we had to kind of go over to get to the end here, I think we handled it really really well."
Mads Herrera Reveals If She Regrets Going for Gary Instead of Alex on Below Deck Sailing Yacht
He also revealed that he wanted to see Mads after the season.
"I do really care about Mads. I hope she knows that she deserves better. But, I don't think I'm going to miss Mads much because I'm pretty sure I'm going to be seeing her again."
Chase Lemacks
The deckhand, who made amends with Gary on the last crew night out, had an honest reflection about the season.
"This season was a little rough. I wasn't the most tactful, I said some dumb sh-t," he said in an interview on the episode. "But, I've learned a little bit about myself, and I can see that I'm an acquired taste."
He then revealed what his plans were for the future.
"It's always weird finishing these charter seasons because none of us really know what's next. Hopefully, I'm going to hop on another boat and go make some more money."
- Lucy Edmunds
The stew shared her appreciation for fellow interior team members Daisy and Mads. She then reflected on her work ethic.
"I learnt that if I get my emotions under control, I'm actually a very good worker — and people love me," Lucy said.
