12 Best Airbnbs in Mykonos for an Idyllic Greek Stay
By Cordelia Aspinall
Lazy days spent poolside in the golden sun turn to glamorous evenings in the nearby bars and beach clubs at the best Airbnbs in Mykonos . From lost weekends to romantic getaways, go with the whole family for a fun trip away or simply retreat to a hilltop for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. From a waterside mansion to a charming villa set in olive groves, we’ve chosen the best Airbnbs to make your base on this big-hitting Greek island.
A cheerful yellow townhouse
A simple, impactful scheme in tones of pale woods and buttercup-yellow makes this charming townhouse one of our favorite Mykonos Airbnbs. Patter down the spiral staircase from your spot on the mezzanine level and have a coffee at the kitchen table before heading out to see the sights—you’re right in the center of Mykonos town. A selection of pretty windmills is just a five-minute walk away, along with an abundance of local restaurants, shops, and bars right on your doorstep.
Sleeps: Six Price: From $162 per night
A modern villa with an indoor hot tub
Previous guests say you can’t get better than this secluded villa for a serene stay away from the crowds. You’ll need to drive to reach buzzier parts of town, but, as a compromise, once you reach this spot, you’re rewarded with fabulous views and utter tranquillity. Breezy seagrass finishes, traditional Cycladic architecture, and wide open plan spaces create a relaxed feel, but subtle glowing LED lighting runs throughout the space, and a slew of luxury fixtures up the ante: lavish in-room bathtubs, a rooftop pool, beach access—and a huge indoor hot tub.
Sleeps: 11 Price: From $3,755 per night (minimum four nights)
A minimalist dream with Psarou bay views
It’s good news for boaters: this contemporary abode, all stone, glass, and muted tones, is just steps from Psarou beach. Widescreen views stretch over the bay from a coveted hilltop position. Dock your yacht and watch it bobbing on the bay as you snooze on the terrace, in the pool, or by the secluded hot tub—or perhaps from one of the comfy double loungers, which sit on a ledge cut right into the waterside.
Sleeps: 10 Price: From $2,725 per night (minimum five nights)
An elegant hilltop home
Watch the sunset from the rooftop terrace or wake up to its glorious rise with rays flooding through the bedroom windows each morning. Propped up on a hillside, Villa Fleur shows off its next-level views from all angles. Pretty green foliage arches around the doorways and crisp white hues fill the villa , creating a natural earthy scene. Rustle up a barbecue in the evenings before going into town for cocktails at the popular beachfront bar Scorpios.
Sleeps: 12 Price: From $4,333 a night (minimum four nights)

A peaceful space
Swing on a hammock after a morning swim in the saltwater pool at Villa Milos in Ornos, a popular spot on the island with family-friendly beaches and tavernas lining the busy streets. The property is airy, sleeping 14 guests, and its slate greys and wood-and-wicker interiors provide a zen-like setting for a coastal getaway. There’s also a wood-burning fireplace, outdoor dining area, and shaded pergola.
Sleeps: 14 Price: From $5,779 a night (minimum three nights)
A glamorous coastal house
Holiday in style as a large group at this swish villa in the coastal village of Tourlos. The open-plan interior is decked out in cooling colors, while the pretty floral garden, with a sensational seascape in the distance, is an idyllic setting for an afternoon snooze. Plus, the traditionally built Greek house is just a short stroll down to the main town and Agios Stefanos beach.
Sleeps: 12 Price: From $2,979 a night (minimum seven nights)
A grand retreat
No one needs to be left behind—multi-villa estate Cavo Dante sleeps 15 across its main house, guesthouse, and gatehouse. The classic Grecian buildings are brought to life with splashes of color, quirky furniture pieces plumped up with geometric cushions, and funky artwork on the stone walls. There’s a home theater for movie nights, a ping-pong table and basketball court for competitive afternoons, a gym, and of course, a pool and hot tub for floating in. And if you do choose to leave, Super Paradise Beach Club is only a 10-minute walk away.
Sleeps: 15 Price: From $8,665 a night (minimum three nights)
A scenic hideaway
For the ultimate Greek island escape with a gang of seven of your family or friends, this traditional white villa set against a backdrop of sea and mountains is the answer. Spend the days poolside, propped up on a sun lounger or bright-orange bean bag, read a book under the arched interiors, or venture out from the stone courtyard to the nearby sandy beaches of Ftelia and Elia. And after a day of sun-worshipping, make your way into Mykonos Town, just a few minutes drive away, and explore its buzzy cocktail night scene—we like boho beach bar Alemagou at Ftelia.
Sleeps: Eight Price: From $2,166 a night (minimum five nights)
A chic townhouse
Right on the doorstep of the Old Harbour, this house is perfect for a classy stay on the glimmering waterfront. Large doors open out onto the balcony: watch the town’s goings-ons below while sipping ouzo and nibbling on olives. The design inside has taken a minimalistic approach, creating a natural feel with bright light shining against white walls.
Sleeps: Eight Price: From $747 a night (minimum three nights)
A boutique villa with sea views
Walk through the gates of Villa Lion and head straight around the back to a vision of blue—from the pool out to the sapphire Aegean sea and clear sky. Climb the stairs to the five alcoved bedrooms with a pared-back, neutral color palette. After a session in the hammam steam bath or a plunge in the pool, head out for mezze and wine at the local tavernas and restaurants north of Mykonos town.
Sleeps: 10 Price: From $4,236 a night (minimum three nights)
A contemporary apartment with sea views
Retreat from the crowds of Mykonos Town at this secluded spot. The grey hues and earthy tones throughout create a light and breezy shelter on the edge of the sparkling Aegean Sea. Hire a car and drive to Agios Sostis beach before heading back for cocktails to watch the dreamiest sunset from the terrace.
Sleeps: Four Price: From $325 a night (minimum three nights)
A classic Greek stay
From the calm spot of The Olive Grove, among treetops overlooking Mykonos town and harbor, it’s possible to watch as the boats sail by and the lively town buzzes below. Sharp whites punctuate the villa, from the floor to the ceiling and everything in between, standing out against the surrounding luscious greenery. When the night turns balmy, take the stone path through olive trees to reach a lovely outdoor seating area perched beneath a rustic pergola and enjoy a chilled bottle of wine, or head inside and lay back on the large sofas in the family room.
Sleeps: Eight Price: From $2,128 a night (minimum seven nights)

What part of Mykonos should we stay in?
Airbns in Mykonos Town are a reliable choice for your first-time visit. The setting for the Windmills of Mykonos, Little Venice, and the Old Port, there’s plenty to keep you busy while Delos is a short boat ride away. As the nucleus of the island’s nightlife, you’ll find scores of bars and nightclubs ready to prolong the evening. In terms of where to stay in Mykonos for a family vacation or romantic hideaway, you’ll find beachfront Airbnbs and hilltop villas dotted around the coastline close to swimming spots.

How many days do you need on Mykonos?
If you’re planning a whistle-stop tour of the main things to do in Mykonos, a minimum of three days on the Greek island is enough. However, staying for five to seven days means that you can get better acquainted with Mykonos beaches and wind down by the pool.
Is Mykonos Town walkable?
The pedestrianized Mykonos Town is a walker’s paradise. Beyond Chora, you’ll likely need to rent a car, scooter, or ATV. Getting a perspective of the island from the sea is one of the unmissable things to do in Mykonos.

Guest Review: “Elina’s place was such an amazing experience. She provided a map (that she designed herself!) with fantastic tips on places to go and see. The apartment is also very centralised. There is a port right outside that you can take to Delos as well as over to the new port if you are intending to take a ferry somewhere else. The windmills and public bus stop are also just a short walk from the apartment. Our short time in Mykonos was made so much easier by the location and Elina’s hospitality. Can not recommend enough!”

Guest Review: “This villa is absolutely STUNNING!!!! We stayed for our last two nights in Mykonos to unwind. You literally will not need to leave the villa as you are in paradise. We were picked up and dropped off by a very friendly driver which made things very convenient for us. I’d recommend hiring an ATV or Scooter to get around the island. Overall one of our favourite places we’ve stayed so far. Will definitely return when we come back to Mykonos :)”
4) Mykonos, Greece, Airbnb Seaview Studio
Most unique mykonos airbnb.

Time to flip the scenery. Off the beach of Kalafati, you can find this studio, not more than a few steps from the shoreline. Instead of following the white stone of Mykonos Town, this studio resembles a rustic beach house.
Its wooden palisades and draping feel more suited to a tropical home than a Mediterranean one. And with a large wooden deck looking out on the island, you’ll want to spend all your time right here.

Guest Review: “We had an amazing stay at Sofianos’s villa in Mykonos. We stayed here with a large group of 13 (spread over 2 villas) and had an amazing time! It’s in a great area, and Pantelis was great help in getting us to/from the villa and sorting out moto for us. Maraya helped us so much. She arranged our pickup and drop off to the airport and helped us rent a car to explore the island. The flat itself boasts a beautiful, harbor-side balcony and a modern interior. Being very new, it comes with a chic interior including aircon, Wifi, and designer furnishings – the perfect central residence.
Guest Review: “This studio room is perfect for a couple and ideally located. Communication and check in were simple, they provided little extras like fruit, coffee and water and the room was serviced each day. The balcony provides a perfect space to people watch (and the view!) but also somewhat private as it sits quite high. Bags were carried for us, wifi worked perfectly and the little ‘extras’ made this stay special. Would recommend : )”

Guest Review: “The location is pretty good near to the beach, there is a restaurant one the corner and a supermarket to buy food. The place was very clean and cosy, which helped us to have a comfortable night. The host that received us was very kind, gave us some tips the places to eat. Would highly recommend you book a car in advance, because Mykonos Town is like a 10-15 min drive from the airbnb, but the property host provided the reservation for transportation, they were very kind and quick to communicate any questions i had about the island, suite, ferries and flights. My partner and I missed “season” by a couple of weeks and the day of the tour was cold and rainy, but we still felt like this tour made our time in Mykonos a really enjoyable experience. Would recommend specifically requesting Anastasia if you can. She’s the best!”

The tour took us to lots of places like the oldest bakery, a gorgeous beach, and lighthouse. The tour was the perfect combo of riding in the bus and walking. He also gave a great recommendation of a place for authentic Greek food that we went back to and was the best we’ve had.”
Mykonos: South Coast Beach Hopping Boat Tour with BBQ Lunch
“Cruise around the south coast of Mykonos on a yacht. Swim in crystal clear waters at one of south coast’s famous beaches such as Elia, Super Paradise, and Paradise, and enjoy fresh fruits and BBQ on board.”

Review: “We had such a fabulous day on the boat tour! Valentina, Adonni and our lovely captain, Marousha were amazing hosts – nothing was too much trouble and the food was absolutely delicious. We struggled to find the tour in the morning and ended up waiting at the wrong port for half an hour but the hosts waited for us to get to the right place despite us being half an hour late. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mykonos, we had a wonderful day.”

One mus-to-visit place in Mykonos is Kato Mili. or the “lower windmills” in Greek. First constructed by the Venetians in the 16th century, the wood-and-straw capped row of historic windmills that stand to face the sea in the town of Chora, is currently 16 windmills on Mykonos of which 7 are situated on the famous landmark of Chora Hill. One must visit the windmills to learn how the Venetians harnessed the power of the wind, and enjoy the panoramic views of the town and ocean.

With the glitz of Athens buzzing from its quaint, pastel-coloured villages to its ink-blue sea, and 300 days of sunshine on offer, it is no wonder Mykonos has the nickname of the ‘Capri of Greece.’ Nestled between Athens and Crete, Mykonos is arguably the charter hotspot of the Cyclades .
- Stunning beaches and turquoise waters Away from the frenetic Mykonos town you’ll find a trove of tranquil beaches with gin-clear waters and soft sands that promise an afternoon of pure relaxation.
- World-renowned beach club scene From Super Paradise Beach to Cavo Paradiso, dancing the night away is practically a rite of passage, while ultra exclusive Nammos beach club is the destination of choice for A-listers and Hollywood elites.
- Effortless island-hopping Zipping between the islands and islets of the Cyclades is a doddle, with no isle more than a champagne cork’s pop away from the next.
- Iconic windmills No visit to Mykonos would be complete without seeing the Windmills of Kato Mili, a highly-instagrammable affair for all the family.
- Beautiful Chora Boasting one of the best preserved old towns in Greece, with tiny churches and labyrinthine white-washed walled lanes, it is the perfect destination for history lovers, with a photo opportunity around every corner.
- Water sports paradise Known as the 'island of the winds', Mykonos boasts some of the best beaches in Europe for surfing, wind-surfing and sailing enthusiasts, who come from all over the globe to experience adrenaline-fuelled kicks in a phenomenal setting.
One of the most popular spots on the island is Little Venice which boasts a stylish bar and restaurant-lined waterfront and is home to Mykonos’s most famous sight – a bevy of hill-top windmills hovering on the skyline.
The main town of Chora is also a must-see. Its picturesque crescent bay lined with charming fishing boats and restaurants have long been a favorite of the SuperyachtSet who spend their summers meandering the narrow pedestrianized streets, and soaking up tangerine sunsets from their luxury vessels.
A short distance from the mainland, both Rhenia Island and Delos provide a more relaxed alternative to the day-long party vibe of their extroverted cousin. Uninhabited and only accessible by yacht, these destinations provide a distinct contrast with unique experiences for charter guests to enjoy when chartering the Cyclades.
Home to a number of cultural events including a small film festival, Mykonos is also the perfect stop off for a summer weekend of hedonism or a relaxing escape later in the year as part of a Greece luxury yacht charter itinerary.
A Mykonos private yacht charter offers a mesmerizing selection of things to see and do. Here is our top picks of some of the most outstanding:
Don't Miss:
- Nammos : Located on Mykonos’ south-west coast, this exclusive beach club retreat has become the destination of choice for the world’s ultra wealthy and famous.
- Little Venice: Dating back to the 16th century and built right on the edge of the sea, this is one of the most scenic areas in Mykonos, coupled with some of the best sunsets in the world.
- Paraportiani Church: One of the most photographed churches in the world thanks to its unique architecture, Paraportiani is a sight to behold and not one to be missed on your Mykonos yacht charter.
- Mykonos Windmills: These iconic windmills stand proud against a cornflower-blue sky, harking back to an era when wind power was used to grind grain.
- Chora Old Town: One of the best preserved historic towns in Greece, you’ll find whitewashed walled houses and alleys draped with pink bougainvillaea, alongside tiny churches, upscale boutiques and an array of excellent dining options.
- Delos: The mythical birthplace of the Greek god Apollo, this beautiful UNESCO Heritage site on the nearby island of Delos comprises ancient ruins of temples, theatres and villas for a fascinating excursion back through time.
- Kalafátis Beach: The ultimate escape for windsurfing enthusiasts, who come here to harness the Meltemi winds during the summer months.
Mykonos has long been a haunt for the SuperyachtSet who come here to enjoy the beach club scene, idyllic beaches and vast array of excellent bars and restaurants that pepper the coastline. For those looking for something a little more cultural, the island is steeped in rich history with glorious whitewashed labyrinthine alleys to explore. The nearby island of Delos offers a chance to wander ancient ruins and truly immerse yourselves in Greece’s myth-strewn past.
The island also attracts many A-listers and Hollywood glitterati, who come here to soak up the superyacht lifestyle and luxurious atmosphere in its medley of vibrant beach clubs, restaurants and exclusive after-hours scene.
Inhabited since the ancient Roman times, the island was colonized by the Carians, Phoencians and Ionians respectively, before becoming part of the Byzantine Empire until the end of the 12th century when it fell under Ottoman reign. After several centuries of rule variously by different factions, the island finally managed to liberate itself and establish a new Greek state during the 19th Century.
Set amongst the idyllic Cyclades archipelago, tourism really took off when this world-famous island was discovered by the bohemian travelers of the 1960s and has since become renowned for its glitzy party lifestyle, top-end superyacht marinas, delectable dining options and enviable climate.
As a perennial favorite destination for yacht charters in Greece, guests have ample choice when it comes to selecting a crewed charter yacht. Not sure what type of vessel to pick in Mykonos? Let's narrow down the main differences between the two:
Motor Yacht Charter in Mykonos
A crewed motor yacht charter in Mykonos offers the best of both worlds. Think superlative amenities and services akin to a five-star hotel, combined with your own world-class chef and unparalleled freedom. Savor the thrill of being able to cruise towards blissfully secluded spots only accessible by boat, and whip out the water toys for a spin on Mykonos' celebrated waters.
Sailing Yacht Charter in Mykonos
Harness the power of the Meltemi winds the region is renowned for on a crewed sailing yacht charter . This option is ideal for those who enjoy an adrenalin-fuelled sailing adventure coupled with high-end luxury and excellent service. Make a beeline for the Aegean and unfurl the sails for glorious days spent at sea, before heading to one of Mykonos' beautiful sheltered anchorages for the night, where you can enjoy cocktail sundowners off the back of the yacht.
With so many options available, there’s something to suit every type of budget. For convenience we have listed the average prices for motor yacht and sailing yacht charters in Mykonos below;
- For motor yacht rentals in Mykonos, prices can range from $28,922 to $1.6m per week, plus expenses
- For luxury sailing yacht rentals in Mykonos, prices can go from $20,852 to $542,164 weekly, plus expenses
The optimal times for yacht charters in Mykonos’s turquoise-clear waters are the shoulder months of May & June and September through October. During this time, you can still enjoy beautiful warm weather, with the later months offering the warmest swimming temperatures.
It should be noted that as part of the Cyclades Islands, Mykonos experiences the strong Meltemi winds which blow throughout the peak months of July and August, which can create choppy conditions around the region.
related articles
Most yacht charters generally commence in the marina adjacent to Mykonos' Old Town of Chora, located on the island's northwest flank. The town is conveniently close to a number of major attractions, including the tiny island Delos and the famous hilltop windmills, as well as a number of beautiful beaches only accessible by boat. In the south is where you'll find the island's celebrated beach clubs and non-stop party vibe, making this an ideal stop-off for those keen on continuing revelries from dusk till dawn.
For all of the glamor and glitter that Mykonos flaunts, it offers just as much natural beauty and traditional Greek scenery. The vibrant heart of the island is a place to escape, to indulge and to revel in the stylish bars and fantastic restaurants whilst the more traditional villages that occupy the north offer a quieter, more secluded ambience.
sample itineraries
- Mikonos Marina: the port of Mykonos is a large harbor located in the island’s main town awash with beautiful Venetian architecture and plethora of waterside eateries with glorious views across the Aegean. The marina offers 30 berths up to a max 40m LOA.
- Tourlos Marina: an idyllic sheltered harbor that is conveniently situated only 20 minutes walk from the center of Mykonos, with access to a range of tavernas, shops and bars close by. The marina has 222 slips for yachts up to 25m in length.
- Santa Marina Resort: an exclusive marina nestled in a secluded peninsula with a private sandy beach, 2 infinity pools and private helipad, as well as an upscale restaurant and chic beach bar. Santa Marina Resort hosts 10 slips for yachts up to 50m LOA.
For nights not spent in a marina, there are myriad pretty anchorages to be found in secluded coves and sheltered bays all around the coastline of this spectacular island. Ornos Bay is a beautiful spot for dropping anchor for the night, with easy access to shore and local amenities.
For something a little more secluded, head to O. Foúrnos , a glorious anchorage surrounded by stunning blue waters, perfect for a spot of watersports followed by a heavenly lunch on board. This spot also contains ancient ruins on the shoreline, proving you are never far from history in this astonishing island. Elia Beach meanwhile boasts the longest stretch of sands in Mykonos and has beautiful clear waters for snorkeling and scuba diving, making it an ideal getaway from the bustling tourists. It is also the perfect venue for a long lunch and a few glasses of rose!
Other excellent anchorage spots include the wind-surfers favorite Kalafati Beach , Agios Ioanis and the ultra hip party hotspot Super Paradise Beach . Wherever you decide to anchor, you’ll be in prime position to witness Greece’s sensational sultry sunsets which offer up a light spectacle like nowhere else on earth.
- As one of the biggest tourist destinations in Greece, it's also one of the most expensive. If you are visiting Mykonos as part of your Greece charter it's definitely worth bearing in mind that other islands in the archipelago will be substantially cheaper.
- Parties go on through the night in some of the biggest hotspots, especially on the popular beaches in the south, such as Super Paradise Beach, and probably best avoided if you are hoping to get some sleep.
- The Meltemi winds can blow very strongly, especially throughout August, which also happens to be Greece’s peak charter months. Possibly look to book in the shoulder months when the temperatures are equally agreeable but far less windy.
- Little Venice can get quite busy during summer, especially late afternoons when tourists file in to have a drink and watch the sunset. This is also true of the world-famous hilltop windmills around Mykonos Town, so be sure to arrive before the rush to secure a good spot.
- All the cobbled streets in Mykonos Town are pedestrian-only, which can prove an issue for some with limited mobility.
- When visiting Mykonos’ religious sites, it is advisable to dress respectfully.
Due to the huge popularity of yacht charters around the Cyclades archipelago, we strongly advise booking well in advance of your planned Mykonos yacht charter to ensure you get the perfect vessel for your selected dates. If you leave it too late, the selection of yachts at your disposal will be reduced and you may not be able to explore the destinations you have your heart set on. Plus, finding dates when everyone in your charter party is available can be tricky; the longer you leave it, the more challenging it will be.
We recommend booking at least 3 months ahead to give your charter broker the time to organize a truly bespoke yacht vacation for you and your guests, and also book ahead for any nights you wish to spend in marinas.

Mykonos Yacht Charter Q&A
We strongly advise booking your yacht charter in Mykonos at least three months in advance to ensure you get the yacht you desire. The longer you wait, the fewer choices you will have.
You'll find that there is a yacht to suit almost every budget in Mykonos so rest assured that you will find a vessel suitable to your requirements.
But when booking do keep in mind the costs that aren't included in the base rate, namely VAT and the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance). The APA is usually paid in advance of the charter and is commonly set at 30% of the charter fee. This allowance covers expenses such as fuel, berthing, food and drinks, as well as any special requests.
Please consult your yacht charter broker in Mykonos for any other costs you may need to factor in.
For most yacht rentals in Mykonos to be secured, you will usually need to provide a completed charter agreement and 50% of the charter fee as a deposit. This becomes payable once the contract has been signed.
July through till September are the ideal months to visit Mykonos on a yacht charter.
Find the best Mykonos yacht that meets your requirements by browsing on our website the selection of luxury motor yachts and sailing yachts to charter in Mykonos. All you need to do is pick your chosen dates, number of guests, yacht type, features, and desired onboard toys and we'll show you what's available.
If you make a booking enquiry, a yacht charter broker will then contact you and craft a charter proposal for Mykonos, tailored to your needs.

The best Airbnbs in Mykonos
By Cordelia Aspinall and Charley Ward
Lazy days spent poolside in the golden sun turn to glamorous evenings in the nearby bars and beach clubs at the best Airbnbs in Mykonos . From lost weekends to romantic getaways, go with the whole family for a fun trip away or simply retreat to a hilltop for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. From a waterside mansion to a charming villa set in olive groves, we’ve chosen the best Airbnbs to make your base on this big-hitting Greek island .
A minimalist dream with Psarou bay views
It’s good news for boaters: this contemporary abode, all stone, glass and muted tones, is just steps from Psarou beach. Widescreen views stretch over the bay from a coveted hilltop position. Dock your yacht and watch it bobbing on the bay as you snooze on the terrace, in the pool or by the secluded jacuzzi – or perhaps from one of the comfy double loungers, which sit on a ledge cut right into the waterside.
Sleeps: 10 Price: From £1,724 per night, with a five night minimum
A cheerful yellow townhouse
A simple, impactful scheme in tones of pale woods and buttercup-yellow makes this charming townhouse one of our favourite Mykonos Airbnbs. Patter down the spiral staircase from your spot on the mezzanine level and have a coffee at the kitchen table before heading out to see the sights – you’re right in the centre of Mykonos town. A selection of pretty windmills are just a five-minute walk away, along with an abundance of local restaurants, shops and bars right on your doorstep.
Sleeps: Six Price: From around £110 per night
A modern villa with indoor jacuzzi
Previous guests say you can’t get better than this secluded villa for a serene stay away from the crowds. You’ll need to drive to reach buzzier parts of town, but, as a compromise, once you reach this spot, you’re rewarded with fabulous views and utter tranquillity. Breezy seagrass finishes, traditional Cycladic architecture and wide open plan spaces create a relaxed feel, but subtle glowing LED lighting runs throughout the space, and a slew of luxury fixtures up the ante: lavish in-room bathtubs, a rooftop pool, beach access – and a huge indoor jacuzzi.
Sleeps: 11 Price: From around £698 per night
An elegant hilltop home
Watch the sunset from the rooftop terrace or wake up to its glorious rise with rays flooding through the bedroom windows each morning. Propped up on a hillside, Villa Fleur shows off its next-level views from all angles. Pretty green foliage arches around the doorways, and crisp white hues fill the villa , creating a natural earthy scene. Rustle up a barbecue in the evenings before going into town for cocktails at popular beachfront bar Scorpios.
Price: From £1,116 a night (minimum four nights)
A peaceful space
Swing on a hammock after a morning swim in the saltwater pool at Villa Milos in Ornos, a popular spot on the island with family-friendly beaches and tavernas lining the busy streets. The property is airy, sleeping 14 guests, and its slate greys and wood-and-wicker interiors provide a zen-like setting for a coastal getaway. There’s also a wood-burning fireplace, outdoor dining area and shaded pergola.
Price: From £4,695 a night (minimum three nights)
A glamorous coastal house
Holiday in style as a large group at this swish villa in the coastal village of Tourlos. The open-plan interior is decked out in cooling colours, while the pretty floral garden, with a sensational seascape in the distance, is an idyllic setting for an afternoon snooze. Plus, the traditionally built Greek house is just a short stroll down to the main town and Agios Stefanos beach.
Price: From £2,347 a night (minimum seven nights)
A grand retreat
No one needs to be left behind – multi-villa estate Cavo Dante sleeps 15 across its main house, guesthouse and gate house. The classic Grecian buildings are brought to life with splashes of colour, quirky furniture pieces plumped up with geometric cushions and funky artwork on the stone walls. There’s a home cinema for movie nights, a ping-pong table and basketball court for competitive afternoons, a gym and, of course, a pool and hot tub for floating in. And if you do choose to leave, Super Paradise Beach Club is only a 10-minute walk away.
Price: From £6,829 a night (minimum three nights)
A scenic hideaway
For the ultimate Greek island escape with a gang of seven of your family or friends, this traditional white villa set against a backdrop of sea and mountains is the answer. Spend the days poolside, propped up on a sun lounger or bright-orange bean bag, read a book under the arched interiors, or venture out from the stone courtyard to the nearby sandy beaches of Ftelia and Elia. And after a day of sun-worshipping, make your way into Mykonos Town, just a few minutes’ drive away, and explore its buzzy cocktail night scene – we like boho beach bar Alemagou at Ftelia.
Sleeps: eight
Price: From £1,280 a night (minimum five nights)
Olivia Morelli
Sarah James
Connor Sturges
A chic townhouse
Right on the doorstep of the Old Harbour, this house is perfect for a classy stay on the glimmering waterfront. Large doors open out onto the balcony: watch the town’s goings-ons below while sipping ouzo and nibbling on olives. The design inside has taken a minimalistic approach, creating a natural feel with bright light shining against white walls.
Price: From £819 a night (minimum three nights)
A boutique villa with sea views
Walk through the gates of Villa Lion and head straight around the back to a vision of blue – from the pool out to the sapphire Aegean sea and clear sky. Climb the stairs to the five alcoved bedrooms with a pared-back, neutral colour palette. After a session in the hammam steam bath or a plunge in the pool, head out for mezze and wine at the local tavernas and restaurants north of Mykonos town.
Price: From £3,201 a night (minimum three nights)
A contemporary apartment with sea views
Retreat from the crowds of Mykonos Town at this secluded spot. The grey hues and earthy tones throughout create a light and breezy shelter on the edge of the sparkling Aegean Sea. Hire a car and drive to Agios Sostis beach before heading back for cocktails to watch the dreamiest sunset from the terrace.
Sleeps: four
Price: From £94 a night (minimum three nights)
A classic Greek stay
From the calm spot of The Olive Grove, among treetops overlooking Mykonos town and harbour, it’s possible to watch as the boats sail by and the lively town buzzes below.
Sleeps: Eight
Price: From £1,677 a night (minimum seven nights)

All about Mikonos
Planning a mykonos vacation we’re here to help.
From a distance, the 16th-century windmills overlooking Mykonos Town give the impression of a quaint old place with a slower pace of life, away from the fast-forward speed of today’s global world. And you can find that gentler rhythm on Mykonos, one of the Cyclades group of Greek islands – but that’s not what most people come to this sun-soaked spot in the Mediterranean for. Mainly, they come to the party. In July and August, the cafes, bars, and boutiques of the Hora (main town) of the island are teeming with sun-seeking, fun-seeking crowds, and Mykonos has adapted to serve them – pumping clubs play host to big-name DJs and swanky hotels cater to an A-list crowd. So if you visit in high summer then come prepared – pack your sun lotion, your most fashion-forward outfits, and your dancing shoes. Outside of peak season island life resumes at a more gentle pace.
Hit the town
The houses of Mykonos Town, with their exuberantly colored wooden doors, windows, and balconies, line the narrow streets forming a typical Cycladic labyrinth town, and mixing with beautiful churches and chapels, purple bougainvillea displaying its blousy wares against the bright white walls. The beautiful people flock to this most picturesque of backdrops to see and be seen, and one of the most popular parading grounds is the area of Little Venice. Named for its resemblance to its Italian namesake, this settlement overlooking the southwest end of the harbor with its tightly packed houses almost toppling into the sea was created during the 18th century by rich merchants and ship captains. Today, many of these historic homes have been transformed into restaurants, bars, shops and nightclubs, and the area throbs with life at all hours.
There is one building which, while still very much in the center of town, offers a more peaceful take on bustling Hora. Mykonos is home to a huge number of those simple whitewashed churches that seem to soothe the soul, but the most beloved of them all is Panagia Paraportiani, a Byzantine jewel with spectacular views of the deep blue waters of the Med. Visit at the end of the day to watch as the sun sinks below the sea, gilding the old stone walls as it goes.
A beach for everyone
Partying in Mykonos is open all hours, and if you’ve woken up keen to get right back on the party train, then there are beaches to help you find your groove. On the southern coast, Paradise Beach — Mykonos' original nudist beach — is one of the most popular places on the island, with a lively strip of hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs – so there’s always another cold beer close to hand. Head further east along the coast and you’ll find Super Paradise Beach, where things really start to get loose. Boats bob in the bay and the sand is lined with row upon row of parasol-topped loungers that fill up with revel-ready bathers as the day goes on and the music continues to pump from the beach bar.
If you’re looking for a stretch of sand fit for all the family, then head to Kalafatis Beach. This shingle and sand beach has natural shade from a line of trees that run right along the back, so there’s plenty of space to lay out a picnic blanket for the little ones. Offshore breezes make it a well-known windsurfing spot too, and there’s a tavern for drinks and snacks if you weren’t quite organized enough to pack up the cooler.
Grand ruins
So you’re in Greece, the birthplace of one of the world’s greatest ancient civilizations. There must be some pretty impressive old buildings close by, right? Right. From the jetty in Mykonos Town, it’s a short boat ride to Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. The mythical birthplace of twins Apollo and Artemis, this Unesco World Heritage Site was once the religious and political center of the Cyclades, and today you can wander through the ancient ruins of once-monumental structures like the Sanctuary of Apollo. Other highlights include colorful floor mosaics, villas with grand courtyards, the famous Naxian lions on their terrace, various still-standing temples, and a sweeping view over the whole lot from Mount Kynthos. Make sure to kit up for your visit and wear a hat, sunscreen, and walking shoes.
Experience the luxury of our Mykonos rentals
With a huge choice of villas sprinkled right across this pretty Cycladic island, from the party scene of Mykonos Town to quieter spots along the coast, you’re sure to find your ideal vacation home.
Homes in Aleomandra
Down at the southernmost tip of the island, our Aleomandra villas have wide-open views of endless Mediterranean blue. Close enough to some of Mykonos’ best-known beaches and to the lively scene in the capital to get fully involved, you also have everything you could need for a laidback summer vacation without ever having to step outside your front door. Grab a drink, choose a sun lounger and just relax by your pool – no need to move till sunset.
Homes in Fanari
When it’s hard to tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins, you know you’ve found the right place. So float in your infinity pool in one of our Fanari villas and congratulate yourself on your excellent vacation choice. Whitewashed walls, sun-baked terraces, and cool, shady alfresco dining areas make a picture-perfect backdrop and entertaining becomes a breeze with fully equipped kitchens and wood-fired barbecues. So what are you waiting for? Gather the family, or your most favorite and favored friends, and go.
