We celebrated my sister's bachelorette party with a half-day charter on the Hula Girl. Sandy and Captain Mike were so great! There were 7 us, and the 40' catamaran was more than accommodating. We took in some sights of the skyline, went swimming in Hurricane Harbor, and hung out at a sandbar for a while. I highly recommend this boat for get-togethers and celebrations.

We were celebrating a friends 50th birthday and booked the Hula Girl. What a great time we had! We anchored at a sand bar and had a healthy lunch of grilled chicken, fresh pasta, vegetables, snacks and cookies for dessert. We then set out for some site seeing in the luxury neighborhoods. After that we went out to sea and had a great time! The boat was beautiful and easy to get around. We loved Mike & Sandy and their hospitality. Mike sure knows how to sail. We will definitely be back and cruise again. It was well worth the money and we all had lots of fun! One helpful tip is to ask your cab driver to come back for you when the cruise is over. What a fantastic trip, what a fantastic way to spend a day. A high-end catamaran cruising the bay. We spent time on sand bars swimming and jumping from the bow. We spent a lot of time cruising the bay, Stiltsville and a few other secluded, high-end areas. Relaxing and what the doctor ordered. Service was top notch and accommodations were very nice.

Where do I even begin? From the moment I contacted Sandy about booking their catamaran for our bachelorette group, the experience was nothing but outstanding. Sandy was quick to reply to every email and willing to be extremely flexible when the weather was threatening our flight. Thankfully we were able to keep our original reservation and it was the perfect way to kick off our first full day in Miami. Captain Mike was constantly making sure we were happy with the location and Sandy was perfectly attentive in being sure we had everything we needed. The only problem was that we had to get off the boat and then try to make the following days in Miami live up to our day with Sandy & Mike :) It was truly a day that was impossible to top & I'd recommend this private charter to anyone in the market! We hope to be back one day!

We chartered a boat for the 4th of July weekend and it was the most easy and seamless process we've ever had. Sandy is just a doll with the whole booking process and she made our intimate party of four feel like family the second we met them on the docks. Captain Mike was phenomenal as well! Our entire experience from anchoring at the sandbar to our amazing tour of biscayne bay is a memory we will always hold on to! The boat was so clean and elegant. Captain Mike and Sandy made all my dreams come true about being on a catamaran and the price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend their boat AND their personal company!

Sandy and Captain Mike were amazing. We did a company's President Club trip in Miami and wanted to take a catamaran around the ocean. They fit all 12 of us. We went swimming and there were beach towels for us. They accomodated all our needs especially on our food. We had Shrimp cocktails and burgers/hot dogs... It was so fun going to the Sand Bar in the middle of the ocean. I will definitely recommend them and use them again when I return back to Miami.

My 8 girlfriends and I had the most amazing day with Sandy and Mike on the Hula girl. For 4 hours we coasted on their immaculate, beautiful boat, equipped with a stereo, bathroom, plenty of seating space, water noodles, and great company. We brought sandwiches and liquor and they supplied plenty of ice, water, and soda. Captain Mike drove us around to beautiful parts of Biscayne Bay and also brought us to a sandbar to swim for as long as we liked. He willingly took tons of pictures for us and helped insure that our bride to be enjoyed a day she will never forget!

AMAZING!!! A huge Thank you to Captain Mike and Sandy for helping to make my bachelorette party even more wonderful! This half day sail couldn't have gotten any better. They were extremely knowledgable of the waters, and pointed out special areas explaining where we were going. They let us crazy girls play our music throughout the whole boat where we danced, sang, and enjoyed every min. Sandy took pictures for us and helped to serve us drinks. Just remember your own sandwiches and drinks for the boat and you are set for the perfect day sail! I HIGHLY recommend using Hula Girl for your special event. Thanks again Captain Mike and Sandy!

My boyfriend surprised me with a sunset sail with Sandy & Mike for my birthday. The 2+ hour sail was awesome, made ever more so by the great hospitality and overall considerate spirits of Mike & Sandy. They had a fabulous spread set for us with wine, olives, cheese and more, fulfilling my boyfriend's requests. The sail was perfect and I had an awesome bday celebration. When I'm back in Miami, I can only sail with Mike & Sandy.

THANK YOU to Captain Mike and Sandy for the perfect day on the water for a girlfriend's bachelorette. Her MOH planned 4 days of activities in Miami and this was my favorite part. Hula Girl is a beautiful boat! We were a group of 7 girls. Mike and Sandy were so accommodating, friendly, fun and easy to talk to. Surround sound music played the entire 4 hours, we laid out on the front of the boat, danced, took pictures, stopped at a sandbar for a swim with noodle floats they provided, ate lunch and had some drinks. It was the perfect day. I highly recommend you use Mike and Sandy for any group gathering!

Sailing from Marathon Key you will experience the many pleasures and sites of the Florida Keys. The unspoiled coral reefs of the Lower Keys have many sites where you can tie up to a mooring ball and snorkel or dive. Hawks Channel provides fantastic sailing, as there is protection from the ocean swells but still great wind.

Across the Gulf Steam from Florida's east coast lies the Bimini Island Chain. These sub tropical low-lying islands are a fantastic destination for a weeklong sail. Bimini offers some of the finest SCUBA diving, snorkeling, fishing and beachcombing anywhere. These "islands in the stream" offer water clarity, which is nothing less than spectacular. You may rent snorkel gear at our office in Ft. Lauderdale if you have not brought your own. For those who are certified divers we recommend renting your SCUBA gear from Underseas Sports in Ft. Lauderdale before you head across the Gulf Stream.

The Bimini Chain is lightly populated with the center of village life located on North Bimini, in Alice Town. There are many small restaurants, shops, and bars, as well as the Hemingway Museum at the complete Angler. Marinas are abundant if you decide not to anchor out. The beaches on North Bimini offer miles of un-crowded fine white sand and snorkeling from the waters edge. Golf Carts and Mopeds are available for rent so you can explore the island. One of the most interesting dive and snorkel sites off of North Bimini is "Bimini Road", which some say is the ruin of the lost city of Atlantis.

South Bimini is primarily residential with only two marinas. The new Bimini Sands Marina is located at the entrance to the harbor and has a Customs and Immigration office so you can clear in there without having to take a taxi and ferry over to North Bimini. The other marina is located at the south end of the island. A new channel has been dredged in Nixon's Harbor that takes you into the marina. Not far from the south end of South Bimini lies the wreck of the "Sappona". This is a great snorkel and dive site.

The only other island in the Bimini's with a marina is on North Cat Cay. This is a private Island with some "high profile" homeowners. For this reason the local authorities limit the accessibility of the island for non-members. You are welcome at the Marina for transient dockage but they prefer for you to stay in the area of the marina where there is a fine dining restaurant a store for provisions, dock bar, and gift shop. It is a truly beautiful setting at the marina and we recommend this for your last night in the Bahamas. Just off the coast of South Cat Cay is a fantastic dive site. "Tuna Alley" has mooring balls and is 50' to 80' with deep caverns and crevasses in the coral.

There are many other Anchorages such as Honeymoon Harbour, Dollar Harbour. Moxom Rocks, and Nixon Harbour. Please call to speak with our knowledgeable staff for more details.

Tropical Sailing’s core focus is on corporate events, incentives, and higher end private charters. We have available the only sail Catamaran in South Florida able to comfortably accommodate over 100 guests on a single vessel.

Catamarans by nature feature a stable ride due to the wide nature of these vessels design. An added feature of this design is the open salon and spaciousness resulting in the ability for larger groups to comfortably enjoy the cruise without feeling cramped.

We can cater to all our guests needs, from the domestic Food and beverage package included with every private charter, a delicious lunch buffet to a complete sit down meal.

Our catamarans are based from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Since our venues are mobile we can offer charters from Palm Beach the Florida Keys and just about anywhere in between.

Caribbean Spirit

Our newest and largest catamaran is the Caribbean Spirit. This 80 foot long catamaran is Certified by the US Coast Guard to carry 125 guests. This catamaran is maintained to Yacht standards and is used exclusively for our higher end corporate clients. We can cater to all our guests needs, from the domestic Food and beverage package included with every private charter, a delicious lunch buffet to a complete sit down meal.

Based in Miami’s Bayside marina, The Caribbean Spirit is the largest day sailing catamaran in North America and features a huge covered main salon area with a U shaped service bar as well as a partially covered aft lounge area. There are plenty of areas for lounging sunbathing and sightseeing. Our catamaran also features fresh water showers, a stairway to the sea, a sound system with bluetooth connection for your favorite music and separate men’s/woman’s restrooms.

Kick off your shoes, forget your worries and let the friendly, professional crew hoist the sails and plot a course to relaxation. The Spirit of Lauderdale is 50-foot long and very spacious catamaran intended for sailing charters for up to 49 guests (USCG Certified) from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the rest of the South Florida. It’s great for small weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, anniversaries, bar-mitzvahs, corporate events, or simply enjoying some fun in the sun with friends and family.

Guests aboard the Spirit of Lauderdale enjoy lounging upon the nets suspended along the front of the vessel, a covered seating area, service bar, stairway to the sea and is the only sail catamaran in Florida with a water slide available. Separate mens and women’s restrooms are onboard as well as a blue tooth sound system to play your favorite music.

Tranquility with its innovative catamaran structure provides the most comfortable, smoothest ride of any power boat ever! the slender hulls pierce and penetrate the waves, which pass, unmolested, under the elevated superstructure, allowing for the smoothest ride possible. Guests aboard the Tranquility enjoy a covered seating area, service bar, as well as a blue tooth sound system to play your favorite music. This vessel is the only one in our fleet that can pull right up on the beach and is completely ADA compliant with a restroom large enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Water Trampoline, paddleboards, kayaks and AquaMat are included with all charters of 3 hours or more.

ASA training from certified instructors including liveaboard experiences and boat owner orientation sessions prepare new boat owners as well as experienced sailors seeking additional knowledge and experience. 

Our top instructors teach you the practical skills, techniques, and certifications you’ll need to sail or charter anywhere in the world.  This is a hands-on, practical training course and you will learn how to anchor, hoist sails, trim sheets, and dock the boat stress free!  You will anchor out every night and enjoy a tranquil anchorage, watching the sunset with your beverage of choice in hand while preparing a great meal with friends.
