Princess X80

The all-new Princess X80 will be the second member of the X Class ‘Superfly’ family. She has a ‘super flybridge’ which offers over 30% more useful interior space on board than a traditional flybridge yacht of its length. Available with an optional master stateroom on the main deck with a privately owned sundeck, the X80’s adventure capabilities offer the opportunity to explore cruising areas further afield with the option of a large 8,800 liter tank.

The Princess X80 brings the outside in through the maximization of glazing that flows the entire length of the main deck and envelops the saloon, galley and forward dining area. The use of a light and innovative design continues below deck where 8 guests are accommodated in 4 en-suite staterooms, a main beam master stateroom amidships, a forward guest stateroom, a starboard double guest cabin and a port double cabin. Behind the main accommodation is the crew quarters which can accommodate 3 crew members with the standard layout. Life aboard the X80 is really different from other boats of its size.

Yet again, Princess is boldly re-writing the rules of yacht design and architecture by incorporating the concept of a ‘super flybridge’ featuring extensive outdoor space, offering the owner & guests a real al fresco living opportunity. The X80 has been painstakingly designed to offer the most versatile and accommodating experience, while keeping design and style at the forefront.

The stature of the X80 profile is defined through the increased height of the bulwarks, topsides and enclosed wheelhouse. Her ‘S’ shaped canopy flows into the flybridge deck to balance the visual weight and disguise the volume of the expansive sky lounge. The X80 brings the outside in through the maximisation of glazing which flows along the entire length of the main deck encasing the saloon, galley and forward dining area.

Following the immediate success of the Princess X95, this unique formula has been translated into a smaller package.  The striking X80 has a ‘super flybridge’ providing in excess of 30% more useful interior space onboard than a traditional flybridge yacht of its length.  The flow of expansive glazing along the entire length of the main deck brings the outside in, creating a sense of being at one with the ocean.  The main deck layout offers the flexibility to be more formal with sliding doors to the galley and an elegant electronic divider over the bar that transforms the galley from open and sociable to fully enclosed.  Travel forward to the unique dining area which offers 270° panoramic toughened glass windows.  Alternatively, you can option for a main deck owner’s stateroom which includes a private sundeck.  Like her sister-ship, the X80 also offers a breathtaking Sky Lounge that leads to an enclosed pilot house forward and to an open sociable flybridge deck with ample relaxed seating and an al fresco dining area aft.

The use of light, innovative design and craftsmanship continues below deck where up to 8 guests are accommodated across 4 ensuite cabins, a full-beam owner’s stateroom located amidships, a forward guest stateroom, a double and a twin cabin.

The Princess X80 superyacht (mini) is capable of adventures further afield with the option of a long range 8,800 litre tank and with MAN V12 1900mph engines, she can reach speeds up to 31 knots.

First look: 25m Princess X80 makes global debut

The first 25 metre Princess X80 superyacht has made its global debut at the Princess shipyard in Plymouth after successfully completing sea trials.

The Princess X80 is the second in the shipyard's X Class Superfly range, following on from its larger sibling, the X95 . The X80 claims to provide 30% more interior space than a traditional flybridge yacht of the same length.

Designed by Princess in collaboration with Bernard Olesinski and Italian design house Pininfarina , the X80 is packed with large adaptable spaces, flexible accommodation and extensive outdoor space, thanks to a focus on al fresco living.

The yacht takes inspiration from the “sophisticated sculpted surfaces and long flowing lines of the X95” while retaining the “well respected and internationally recognised classic Princess design,” the yard said.

Defined by high bulwarks and an enclosed wheelhouse, the exterior of the X80 features glazing along the main deck. Elsewhere, the yacht features a skylounge on the upper deck accessible by internal stairs on the main deck, which is dedicated to living areas.

Accommodation on board is for eight guests in four cabins, comprising a full beam master stateroom amidships, forward guest stateroom, double guest to starboard and twin cabin to port. Aft of the accommodation sits the crew quarters, which is large enough for three. Fitted with twin MAN V12 1900 engines, the X80 will have a top speed of 30 knots.

Speaking about the new model, Princess executive chairman Antony Sheriff said: “The immediate success of the X95 demonstrates that we have a successful formula on our hands, the X Class really does represent a mould-breaking design and architectural direction for Princess Yachts."

Princess Yachts X80

The first hull of the all-new Princess X80 is now in the water and was just featured at the recent shipyard event. Similar to the larger X95 Super Flybridge, the X80 has unique lines for a Princess as the upper and main decks stretch the length of the yacht. The "Super Flybridge" name is well-deserved as it features three separate socializing areas on the X-80: a forward flybridge seating area, an enclosed, climate-controlled bridge, and the aft flybridge lounge area. This change comes as more yacht owners have asked for more entertainment space on the flybridge since this is where the best views are and where guests tend to want to spend their time.

The X80 standard power are twin MAN V12 1900mhp engines that provide a stable, comfortable cruise in the mid-20 knot range with a top end speed of 31 knots.

The Princess Yachts X80 is Coming

Princess Yachts says its X80 is scheduled to debut in autumn 2021, following on the heels of the X95 and adding another model to the builder’s “superfly” X Class.

According to Princess Yachts, the X80′s “super flybridge” increases interior space by 30 percent when compared with a traditional flybridge yacht of the same length overall.

The X80 also is available with an optional main deck master stateroom that has a private sundeck.

“The X80 follows the X95′s open-living approach, defined by large distinctive spaces which flow into one another to offer the most versatile and accommodating experience, while keeping all Princess Yachts’ familiar characteristics of quality in craftsmanship and materials, placing design and style at the forefront,” the company stated in a press release.

Who designed the Princess Yachts X80? The builder, in collaboration with the Olesinski naval architecture firm in the United Kingdom, and the Italian design house Pininfarina.
