Centurion 42 is a 42 ′ 5 ″ / 12.9 m monohull sailboat designed by Ed Dubois and built by Wauquiez between 1985 and 1990.

The Wauquiez ships be known as seaworthy ships, well constructed ships and above average sail performance ships. The Centurion 42 is loved by those who want high requiring on comfort an safety. The Centurion 42 is an outstanding ship in every harbor. The stretched design and the shape of the hull show that this is a ship for long trips. On the deck you?’ll notice the wide gangway?’s that create a safe access to the cockpit and to the forward deck. Remarkable is the high bridge floor entrance to the cabin. This together with the large sprayhood makes it a very safe place.Inside the cabin you?’ll notice the surprising layout. At the port side is a large kitchen with a lot of storage space. There?’s a rear cabin with a large 2 person bed and it?’s own sanitary cell unit. In the saloon is a large table with a comfortable bench around it. On the opposite side is the chart table. In the front of the boat is another sanitary cell unit, a 2 person bed and two 1 person beds.This ship is build very solid and has lovely sail characteristics . Combined with an extremely spacious and practical interior. The nowadays owner sailed this boat to Norway, Scotland and so on. Review of Centurion 42

Basic specs..

The Centurion 42 is equipped with a finn keel. The finn keel is the most common keel and provides splendid manoeuvrability. The downside is that it has less directional stability than a long keel.

The keel is made of lead. Compared with iron, lead has the advantage of being 44% heavier, which allows a smaller keel and hence less water resistance and higher speed.

The boat can only enter major marinas as the draft is about 2.35 - 2.45 meter (7.71 - 8.01 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.

Hello everyone, This boat is moving and is currently in Portimão During this period in Portimão, we offer passage through Gibraltar, Faro, Sagres and its islands. For daily rental, you board the day before at 8 p.m., or an aperitif is offered to you. If the weather permits, we leave for the next day's destination, you sleep at anchor, after sailing under the sunset. In the morning it is therefore waking up at anchor. in the evening return before 7 p.m. December, Cape Verde. Built by the Wauquiez shipyard (59), the 12.9 m Centurion 42 boat was manufactured from 1985 to 1990 in 80 units. Originally derived from the hull of an Admiraler, the CENTURION 42 is today an excellent sailboat to consider the great offshore. For day trips, I can accommodate up to 12 people on board. The port of departure is often different, in November it will be Cape Verde or the Canary Islands, this summer Portugal and Spain.
