We’re the only provider of deck boats on Lake Whitney. Our deck boats can accommodate 8-10 people while still being relatively easy to drive.

About our boats

We have 6 boats, and generally they hold 8-10 people. Deck boats offer ample seating and spacious layouts, making them ideal for social gatherings and family outings. Their versatile design allows for a variety of activities, including fishing, water sports, and cruising. The stable, wide hull ensures a smooth ride even in choppy waters, providing comfort and safety. With powerful engines, deck boats can reach high speeds, making them suitable for thrill-seekers. Additionally, they often come with numerous storage compartments, allowing for easy organization of gear and supplies.

Open 9am to 8pm, 7 days/week

10-2 and 3-7 rentals

Open May 25 to September 2 (Memorial day to Labor day) yearly

$400 plus gas per half day

When the water’s close to full, most areas of the lake are navigable. In low-water conditions, special care should be taken as to where you go.

Lake Lovers Dream

Rooms/accomodations.

We are a family of lake enthusiasts looking to share our experiences with others. We spent years exploring Texas lakes, booking short term rentals with kayaks and fishing poles in tow. Now we are fortunate enough to have a primary residence at beautiful lake Whitney and an abundance of water toys to share. Come make some memories with us in these beautiful waters of Hill County! 

Cabin Rentals - One bedroom guest cottage is available for overnight accommodations. To allow for larger parties, we do have three more bedrooms in the main house for overflow sleeping. Guest would have the second floor of the primary residence to themselves. Package and activities can be specialized to your group needs. 

Your adventure can include any of the following

• Leisure Pontoon Boat Ride to cruise the lake or explore the Brazos River. (8 people max)
• Fishing Boat (4 people max) to rip some lips. Whitney is abundant in striper, catfish, and crappie. We are not a guide service, no guarantee of catching fish. We take a more casual approach. 
• Beach'n It for
• Beach'n It for those more into grilling and chilling. We will take your party and set you up on a private beach for the day.
• Cliff Jumping for those adrenaline seekers. 
• Hiking Trails with access to Core Land 
• Kayaking, bring your own or borrow ours
• Paddleboarding, again bring your own or borrow ours
• Mix/Match any of the above to make the perfect lake adventure
• Cozy 900 square foot Guest Cottage has one bathroom, fully functional stocked kitchen, queen bed, fold out couch, plus TV in both living room and bedroom. VRBO Listing 3446165

• Netflix and Xbox for movie night
• 2nd floor main house has full bathroom, private entrance, exterior back deck, and front balcony. Space can sleep up to 8 people, living area with pool table, foosball table, and partial kitchenette.

The jewel of both Bosque and Hill Counties, Lake Whitney covers 35 square miles with its crystal-clear water, providing a cherished destination for boaters, fishermen, and water sports lovers of all kinds. The lake’s 225 miles of shoreline and acres of adjacent parkland offer ideal settings for swimming, picnicking, wildlife viewing, golfing, camping, horseback riding, and more. Its location just 90 minutes south of the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex and 2.5 hours north of Austin makes it a great escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life, or your next outdoor adventure. Due to its size, Lake Whitney is the perfect setting for whatever type of boating adventure you enjoy. Not only is the lake large enough to accommodate most types of boating, it also has more than 20 public and private boat ramps and numerous marinas that make it even easier to have a great day on the lake.  

Marinas and Boat Rentals

Along with the boat rentals, some of these marinas provide dry storage, giving you everything you need during your time in the Lake Whitney area. You can see the types of boat rentals and services offered at each marina by clicking here.

To get the best angling experience, hire a local guide who will tell you where the fish are biting. Most guides supply all the gear you’ll need, including bait and lures, so you don’t need to have your own equipment. Locate one of these qualified guides by contacting any of the marinas for a referral.

Skiing and Water Sports

If the water on the lake happens to be choppy and you’re looking for calmer currents then head to the nearby Brazos River. This part of the Lake Whitney area is known for its smooth water, and it’s even where the documentary “The Secret Spot” was filmed.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates parks on the lake that have swim beaches as well, along with picnic areas and spots to kick your feet up and relax. Regardless of which park you go to, you’re sure to have plenty of fun splashing in the water and taking in gorgeous views of the lake.

We rented a deck boat and tube for a fun family day on the lake. Everyone had a great time. Great service and friendly staff. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you.

The lake is beautiful, the people were friendly, rented a boat it came with skis a tube and a knee board  😀  we had a blast, can't wait to visit again.

Owner was very knowledgeable about cliff jumping and directed us to a place where our kids jumped safely for hours. Reasonable pricing and good selection of boats. Would rent from this place again.

Had a blast! Good people and tons of fun!

Can I give more than 5 stars? Our experience was amazing. Justin had excellent communication through the entire process, so hospitable, accommodating, and friendly. The kids had a blast on the slide and lily pad. The boat had a great amount of shade so no one got too hot. The experience was seamless. Highly recommend. We had an amazing day on the lake.

“Perfect place for our yearly family weekend at the lake. Unusual for Lake Whitney properties to have direct lake access. Not an easy walk down to the lake, but very doable for all in our group. Place to tie up boat in a cove and to launch kayaks and perfect place for kids to swim. House was comfortable and well equipped. Hot, hot summer days, but we were cool the whole time. “House had plenty of sleeping. Back porch is great. Yes, it is a bit steep to get down to the beach area, mostly for older adults or disabilities. That being said, once you are down there it is one of the best swimming/fishing/ and all around coves I have been to. You have a huge cove seemingly to yourself, lined with a rock ledge that you can walk and swim off of. Amazing place to spend the day and the kids had a blast..”. -Chad F.

We are a full service marina with 144 covered wet slips, 60 dry storage units, a 20,000 sq foot boat showroom, 2 public launch ramps, a fuel dock convenience store and a full service Yamaha, Mercury dealership for everything from a tune-up to a major overhaul. Security Our docks are frequently patrolled by security and we have a sense of community here that you won’t find at other docks. This sense of community ensures that anyone in a slip near yours probably knows you well, and you probably know them well. Together we can make our docks a very safe place just like good neighbors should. Dry Storage Our dry storage facility offers 60 units that will help protect your vessel from the harsh elements of our environment. We are capable of storing boats up to 45 feet long and weighing up to 27,000 lbs. depending upon configuration.

Parts and Service Department Our certified service department can provide parts and service specializing in Yamaha, and Mercury. We have knowledgeable and experienced technicians that are qualified in all areas of boat repair and service. Summerization This package is important for all of our seasonal customers. During long storage periods, engine conditioning is recommended to help ensure a strong start on your return as well as to protect your motor from damage caused by stagnant fluids and seawater. This service will treat your fuel and fuel pump/carburetor to keep it clean and varnish free, your cylinders will be fogged to prevent corrosion and maintain viscosity, and we will disconnect your battery system to help maintain the life of your batteries. Annual Service This package is recommended annually or per hours of use, as indicated in your owner's’ manual. We perform a thorough service on all components as directed by the manufacturer. This typically includes fluid and filter changes, fuel hose, spark plug, cooling system, ignition system, steering and shifting system inspections, as well as the replacement of parts per factory requirements to keep you within the parameters of your warranty guidelines. Uncle Gus’ Package Due to the new additives in fuel (methanol), it is highly recommended to run your engine at least once every two months to help avoid potential damage to your fuel system. This is a new package designed for all customers who would like us to run their vessel periodically to ensure that it remains in good running condition for their arrival with family or clients. Additionally, we can also top off your fuel, water, check livewell/baitwell operation, or arrange a pump out at your request in anticipation of your return. Back in Service This package applies to seasonal customers, and can be performed on a boat that has or has not been summerized. Within a few weeks of your return, contact our department to schedule this service to make sure that you can rely on your boat to run well upon your arrival. During a back in service, the summerization process is reversed and the boat is taken for a test run to verify motor functionality and to briefly inspect your electrical systems (radio, VHF, running lights, etc). We can also perform this service on a boat that has not been summerized, but this may include a variety of additional tasks to get your vessel running strong again such as carburetor cleaning, spark plug change, oil change, fuel filter change, etc. depending on how long it was dormant without the proper storage preparation. Additional services are available upon request from detailing to generator service and repair.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 17)

FAIR. Water normal stain; 88 degrees; 0.19 feet below pool. Catfish are fair using cut shad in 20-25 feet of water. Striped bass bite is slow on live bait in 30 feet of water on artificial baits while trolling umbrella rigs and Alabama rigs. Crappie are slow on small jigs and minnows in timber in 15-20 feet on the north end of the lake. White bass fishing is slow. Largemouth bass fishing is slow. All boat ramps are now open.
