Since its inception in 1911, the Ponus Yacht Club has offered its members a casual, friendly gathering place to relax and enjoy time with friends and family in a nautical setting. 

Occupying a private corner of Stamford's vibrant Harbor Point waterfront, the Ponus is a boating and social club, with ample docking and boat storage and a dining experience which rivals that of the area's many restaurants. 

Admire the view of Stamford Harbor and beautiful sunsets as you enjoy outdoor dining or simply a cool beverage on the club's spacious deck. If you prefer, dine in our clubhouse that overlooks the harbor and is open for service all year long. 

The club also offers not-to-be-missed summer weekend entertainment, from bands and karaoke to comedy acts, as well as a variety of other family-friendly special events throughout the year. Our sizable banquet room is available for your very own special events and business functions any time of the year.

This electronic resource includes biographies of such famous political and social figures, primary and secondary sources, including the complete WPA (Works Progress Administration) Slave Narratives collection, speeches, court cases, quotations, advertisements, and photographs, maps, and other images.

Shades of LA Photo Collection

The library has an archive of over 7,000 photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and copied in a project sponsored by Photo Friends, a library support group. They include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations.
