The Selby Bay Yacht Club (SBYC) is a member-owned yacht club located in Selby Bay off the South River minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. SBYC has a 72 slip marina with slips from 33' to 80', a beautiful clubhouse, refreshing swimming pool, cozy fire pit, immaculately landscaped grounds and paved parking lots. Many of the most popular cruising destinations, including Annapolis, Kent Island, Rock Hall, St. Michaels and others are an easy trip from the SBYC docks. Our location in Edgewater, Maryland is minutes from Annapolis by land for shopping, dining and entertainment.

I'm on a boat! I'm on a M*#^Fing boat! The art of sailing at its best. It required paddling out to the bay, at the mercy of the 2-3 knot wind, The never-ending actions of switching the boom and jib, dodging and pulling were the most actions required. The monstrous motored boats sped by waving with arrogance and asking if we could go any slower? Amusements courtesy of motor boat tubing, It's a dog, no it's a monkey, no it's blonde ....? No it's a monkey! We really didn't care. Not a boat trip without some snacks of chessmen, goldfish and seedless grapes, some champagne, coronas and shiraz. Nice red wine stain on the boat, absorbed it like a sponge. Nothing beat the clear blue sky and full AT&T signal at sea. A Medical Doctor, an AIDS Researcher, a Mathematician and a For-Profit Scientist = great sailing crew!

Selby Bay Yacht Club is an active, yet relaxed boating club, with a 72-slip marina in a gorgeous setting 10 miles south of Annapolis, Maryland. Located just off the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the South River in Edgewater, Maryland, SBYC is an ideal starting point for cruising and sailing to the most popular mid-bay destinations, including Baltimore, Annapolis, St. Michaels and much more. Memberships are currently available, but with brand new "A-Dock" scheduled for completion spring 2016, open slips will probably not last too long.

We have everything you need right here on site. From metered electric, fueling (Diesel, Gas 89 ethanol free, and 93 octane) and pump-out services, to a full maintenance facility; let us keep your boat in shape at home on the water, instead of hauling her away.

One of the last marina’s in the area with covered slips, we offer both covered and open slips on our waters. Protect your boat from the elements above with our covered slips, or tan from the bow in an open slip. We also have lift slips that are covered or open.

We offer a full array of amenities, such as bathrooms, showers, and a family picnic area right on the water!

Selby Bay Marina is by far the best marina in the area. The community feel and access to the bay can’t be beat. The owner Frank is very responsive and helpful.

Dedicated to the enjoyment and enrichment of pleasure boating on and around Chesapeake Bay, Selby Bay Yacht Club is a friendly, private, nonsectarian club located on Selby Bay - at the mouth of the South River - ten miles South of Annapolis, Maryland. Member owned and operated, Selby Bay Yacht Club is home to some 70 boats, both power and sail. We welcome you to have a look around, and we'd be more than happy to answer any questions or comments.
