To date 255 of these stout little ships have beebuilt Perfect for a couple wanting an easily handled, take-anything cruiser, her bluff bows contain a spacious, two-berth cabin. Thesaloon is roomy with a generous galley to starboard and a dinette opposite. A Quarterberth provides either a seaberth or guest accommodation. The wheelhouse hasgood headroom and contains the navigation station. The cockpit is also a reasonable size but visibility forward is restricted. In light conditions and to windward, the rig provides stability but little more. But off the wind in Force 4 she potters along happily.Engines of around 27hp were fitted.

Anyone have any experience of, or considered reviews/comments on one of these - early 1970 model.

Same hull as a Fisher 25 so long keel and heavy. SLoop rigged iirc so sails better than one would expect but no light wind greyhound! Very capable for its size.
My friend had one, very heavy & strong but slow.
There used to be one in Chichester marina; the only one I came across out on the 'oggin was slow to the point of ludicrous under sail, it might be nice to think of being in a strong fortress-like boat but I got the impression it wouldn't be able to dodge waves, let alone weather systems. Would be nice on the French canals given a big modern engine - and that's not meant to be rude, could be lovely, ideal for that trip with the relatively shallow draft, also pootling around the South Coast or Med'; but I think I'd want that big modern engine.

This is a very cute little sailing boat that needs exactly that - sailing!
She hasn't been used very much recently, which is a great shame, as she's such a pretty thing. She's not a bit of a restoration project.
A decent sized cockpit that feels nice and sheltered, leads down to am amazingly bright and open saloon - this is due to her high deck head and large windows.
There's a small galley and a separate head, along with a forecabin with room for two.
She does need a tidy up and there are lots of jobs to do, but for the price, you get a lovely Fisher yacht, with lots of equipment and with a some work, could be made ready for the new season.
Easily viewed, only 40 minutes from Gatwick by train.
