Guide to Paros

Energetic yet understated elegance with a hint of traditional charm.

Resting at the heart of the Cyclades, Paros envelops an intoxicating fusion of stylish cafe culture and a bustling capital with spectacular scenery and beautifully preserved monuments. It manages to merge the best of the traditional, historically rich Greece with contemporary comforts and atmosphere.

Away from the energetic glamour of Mykonos and the famous white-washed, blue-topped beauty of Santorini is the lively Cycladic island of Paros. Lying serenely out of the limelight surrounded by the glorious blue of the Aegean sea, this Greek gem oozes with charm and understated elegance. This makes it perfect for all kinds of superyacht vacations, whether you are looking for safe family fun or a relaxing romantic escape.

A Paros luxury yacht charter offers a little bit of everything to love about Greece. Its capital Parikía plays host to idyllic white cubed houses and neoclassical mansions alongside Byzantine churches and important museums, all overlooked by a 13th Century Venetian Castle. Amongst the architectural beauty is a buzzing modern Mediterranean atmosphere and a mosaic of chic bars and restaurants spilling out toward the gold sand-fringed coastline. Like many of the Cyclades islands, Paros can become very busy during the high summer moths so is best visited in late-spring and early-autumn when you can appreciate it’s offerings in relative peace.

The surrounding villages indented into the mountainous terrain are also worth a wander when spending a few hours ashore. As you move further into the hills you can appreciate the lush vegetation on the island, filled with all plane trees, laurels, wild olive trees, and carob trees covered in ivy that play host to the butterfly species Panaxia Quadripunstaria. Paros also boasts some great beaches, from trendy tourist strewn sands to renowned water-sports hotspots such as Chrissí Aktí which every year plays host to the Windsurfing World Championship.

If you are interested in a crewed yachting vacation in the clear waters of Paros and the surrounding Greek Cyclades Islands view all Greece Luxury Yacht Charters which are available for private rental.

yacht charter paros

1. Panagia Ekatontapiliani: Known as the ‘Church of 100 Doors’, this historic Byzantine church complex located in the town of Parikia, is one of the most significant early Christian monuments in Greece. It’s said to have been founded by Saint Helena, the mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Its serene beauty and historical significance make it an essential visit.

4. The Valley of the Butterflies in Sotires (Petaloudes): A unique natural phenomenon, this lush valley becomes a haven for Jersey Tiger Moths from June to September. Walking among the fluttering, colorful insects is a magical experience not to be missed.

5. Old Venetian fortress in Naoussa: Situated in the charming fishing village of Naoussa, the Old Venetian Fortress (Kastelli) is a relic from the 15th century that stands as a testament to Paros’s fascinating past under Venetian rule. The fortress, though now partially submerged, was once a vital fortification for protecting the island from pirates. White and blue are the anthem colors of Paros, a close neighbor to famous Mykonos and Santorini. Byzantine influences and the foamy crush of waves against beaches and seafront residences alike build a dreamy, languid holiday destination. Easily accessible via Athens and Thessaloniki, and connected to the rest of the Cyclades Islands by ferry, Paros is the portal to a classic Greek summer.

Wrapped around the horse-shoe bay of capital Parikia is a maze-like spread of white-washed cubic houses and elegant mansions. Nestled right on the coastline to be splashed by waves, these quaint residences extend up the hill like a carpet before the peak-side 13th century Venetian Castle. 6th century Katapoliani Church is named for its plethora of gates; one of which is hidden. To observe hand-crafted iconostases and ancient heirlooms, visit the Byzantine Museum hosted in the baptistery.

It is also enough to simply meander the winding lanes of Paros’ piquant villages. Burst of flowers form canopies over houses, beautiful squares and narrow alleys a beautiful complement to the lush valleys. Culture seeps out from the traditional villages of Naoussa, Lefkes and Marpissa, each home to a Venetian fortress, folk culture museum and monastery respectively. Close by to Marpissa are the sun-drenched beaches of Logaras and Pisso Livadi. Delve past rich vegetation and wild olive groves for sandy strips. Kolymbithres beach stuns with white rock formations, whereas Kalogeros is a natural spa of red and green clay pools.

Bask in the warm Mediterranean summer and avoid visiting during winter as the rain makes seafaring cold. Frequent northerly winds run throughout spring and summer, keeping maximum temperatures below 30℃. If you’re planning on long dips in the sea, July to September offers the warmest waters at an average of 23℃.

Paros Yacht Charter

Some would say that the Island of Paros in Greece has not yet attained the same level of popularity of its more “illustrious” siblings that comprise the Islands of Cyclades like Mykonos and Santorini. There are possibly less luxury yachts and superyacht charters that visit these Mediterranean waters. But this can be a good thing. Still, Paros can be popular with Greece yacht charter enthusiasts with discriminating taste and unique preferences.

Indeed, there are still a lot of things to discover and experience in Greece if you go off the mainstream and take the route least travelled to explore the beauty and allure of other holiday destinations such as the Island of Paros. Greek waterways have a wonderful relaxing feel and Paros is no different. In fact, you are missing a lot if you don’t include in your itinerary the Island of Paros, which is considered the heart of Cyclades.

Paros Yacht Charter Possibilities

Among all the islands of Cyclades, Paros Island is the second largest, and its total land area is about 186 sq km. It also features a 120-km stretch of breathtaking coastline. The primary reason why you should explore this Greece yacht holiday destination when you sail to Cyclades is the fact that it is strategically located in the central region of Cyclades, making it a perfect jump-off point when you set sail on board your charter yacht to visit the other island holiday destinations like Syros, Sifnos, Ios and Naxos.

The island is usually accessed by regular tourists through the ferry line that ply the route daily. Yacht charter sailors and tourists onboard their Greece luxury yachts normally visit this island after their holiday jaunts in Heraklion and Piraeus.

Popular Attractions and Important Places

The important places to visit and popular attractions to explore on the Island of Paros are the cities of Marpissa, Lefkes and Naoussa. Old structures and architectural marvels with historical importance could be found in various locations within the Island. Must-see attractions of Paros include the Church of 100 Doors, believed to be the creation of Emperor Constantine and dedicated to St. Helen, St. Constantine’s mother. The architectural orientations and designs are predominantly ancient and give a view akin to the poster picture of Greece. Its rustic villages feature the all too-familiar houses with whitewashed walls and flat roofs.

Yacht charter enthusiasts must also explore the famed marble relics that are scattered in various places in the Island of Paros. This is a strong affirmation of the popularity of the Parian marble during the ancient Greek civilization.

Another favorite gathering place among sailors and tourists traveling to the Island of Paros on board superyachts is the windmill bar in the Pandrossos Hotel. This is the favorite watering hole of sailors, and you should check it out as soon as you arrive in the Island.

Sample the Authentic Greek Flavor

Your Greece yacht vacation around the Island of Paros is not complete if you don’t sample the exquisite and delectable local treats. There are several top restaurants and cafes and bars in various locations on the Island. However, most of the best restaurants and other food venues are located along the waterfront.

Visit the Island of Paros if you want to experience a different brand of yacht charter holiday and discover the other splendors of this popular Mediterranean holiday destination.

Yacht Charter Paros

Paros Yacht Charter

Paros, an oval shaped island with an area of 195 square kilometers is located 168 kilometers southeastern of Piraeus in Aegean Sea. The island  is accurately (but hardly enticingly) known as the transportation hub of the Cyclades. Paros’s beautiful beaches and nice nightlife have made it a very popular destination in its own right — a lot of visitors come here simply to have a good time, windsurfing, sunbathing, and partying.

Still others, not necessarily opposed to having a good time, are drawn back over and over again to Paros because of its other attractions. Admittedly, if you come by ship, your first impression after docking at the main port and capital Parikia will be not please you. Parikia is the main commercial harbor and the capital of Paros and truly is fairly busy and noisy but it is an excellent shelter from meltemi and from the south winds.  Where, you’ll wonder, is the town described as “charming” , so take a few steps inland, and you’ll find it.

Parikia has an energetic marketplace and the Ekatondapiliani, the 100-doored church designed in the 6th century by the famous architect Isodore of Miletus. Winding streets, the paving stones meticulously marked off with whitewash, lead off from the main square. One street meanders up and up, passing marble fountains and modest houses with elaborate door frames, to the remains of a medieval castle, largely built with chunks pillaged from various local ancient temples. The island of Paros has been famous since antiquity for its excellent translucent marble, called Lychnites. This marble was used for the Temple of Solomon, the Venus de Milo, the temples on Delos, and for Napoleon’s tomb. Cretans and then Arcadians were the first inhabitants in the island under their leader Paros, after whom the island was named. The 7th century bc the soldier and poet Archilochos who is believed to be the first to write iambic poetry was from Paros.

If someone consider the facilities of Paros from all the aspects , can understand that   Paros has a little of everything one expects from a Greek island: this gentle and undramatic landscape arranged around the single peak of Profitis Ilias, old villages, monasteries, fishing harbors, a labyrinthine capital, nice beaches and varied nightlife. However, the island can be touristy and expensive, and it can be more difficult visit it  in August, when the other settlements the port of Naoussa and the offshore island of Antiparos, handle the overflow.

As for the anchorages in the island of Paros there are many of them. Part of Naousa, one of the known cities in Paros is operated as a marina. Then follows the Saint John and Plastira, both of them are all weather anchorages. Last but not least goes the Near Parikia, a quiet offshore anchorage, the Marpissa and Kefalos. The geographic coordinates of Paros are 37°05’14.4″N 25°08’58.6″E in Aegean Sea.

ISLAND OVERVIEW

Paros, one of the most popular of the Cyclades islands is a unique mix of traditional Cycladic architecture, historical monuments, and modern – rich nightlife, amazing sand beaches stretching along 120 – km coastline, charming cliff-top villages, mountains, delicious food, and watersports.

Only a short ferry ride away from Athens , Paros is easily accessible from Rafina and Piraeus Port . Being close to other popular Cyclades islands, such as Mykonos and Santorini , makes Paros is also a perfect spot for island hopping.

In the past, Paros was known for its fine white marble found at the Marathi Quarries where the term “Parian” came from to describe marble or porcelain of similar qualities.

Now, you can spot abandoned marble quarries and mines scattered around the island, many artworks and masterpieces made of marble such as the Temple of Apollo on Delos , the Venus of Milos, the statue of Hermes (Praxiteles) at Olympia, and many others but Paros remains mostly a popular tourist spot.

Whether you’re into exploring Cycladic traditional, historical gems or after a relaxing vacation with sunbathing and vivid nightlife, Paros is the best choice for you!

HISTORY OF PAROS

Due to the findings on the islet of Saliagos, located between Paros and Antiparos, we know that the island has been inhabited since 3200 BC. According to mythology, the first king of Paros, Cretan Alkaios built a city on the site of the present capital of Parikia. Back then, Crete was trading with Egypt, the Balkans and Assyria.

Thanks to its central of the Cyclades location and fertile land, Paros became a perfect strategic spot where the Cretans built a naval station, calling it Minoa , a title in honor to Royal Cretan cities. In 1100 BC, the Ionians came to conquer the island and destroyed Minoans’ civilization becoming rulers of Paros.

Paros carries traces of Macedonian empire domination which was the prosperous period for the great discoveries like the ancient pottery workshop in Tholos, with its beautiful artworks, and the ancient cemetery of Parikia. Other influences come from Byzantine Empire rule when Paros’s inhabitants converted to Christianity, building many churches, chapels, and monasteries. Among those, the most famous is the Church of Ekatontapiliani in Parikia , considered the most important Byzantine monument in Greece.

Venetians and the Turkish rule also left marks in historical monuments, buildings, and churches. After the Greek Revolution in 1821 , Paros gained Independence and became part of the modern Greek State.

REASONS TO VISIT

Paros is a quite popular island among the Cyclades and due to its cosmopolitan feel mixed with its Cycladic traditions it has many different faces and creates an unforgettable sightseeing atmosphere. If you’re a party animal, dive into Paros’s vivid nightlife with its many clubs, relax at the most popular sandy beaches like Santa Maria, Golden Beach Paros, Punta, and Kolymbithres or try watersports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. If you’re more into chill-out vibes, wander around in rural villages and choose secluded beaches and simply have a great Greek vacation experience!

THINGS TO DO

Take a stroll through iconic naoussa and parikia.

Parikia and Naoussa are the two main, beautifully developed villages of Paros and the heart of the island’s nightlife. Full of traditional taverns, chic restaurants, and posh bars, they welcome young crowds every night. In addition to its cosmopolitan vibes, both towns preserve their Cycladic identity and traditions, with their architecture of cubic, whitewashed buildings that are mainly low-ceiling with blue accents – typically doors, window frames, and balconies. Stroll down cobblestone streets, and enjoy an exciting culinary scene and various cultural events to grasp the island’s balance between tradition and modernity.

Grab a bite at the traditional tavern

Summer vacation on the island without tasting delicious Parian delicacies doesn’t count! Paros values its Greek identity and flavors in its gastronomic scene. The various seafood taverns, modern, luxurious Greek restaurants embrace their guests to taste the finest, fresh local products and typical regional delicacies like famous octopus grilled on charcoal and gouna (mackerel dried in the sun with herbs and then grilled).

Sunbathe, dive into crystal clear waters and enjoy watersports at the beaches

The island’s beautiful seashores and crystal clear waters will surely make any vacation in Paros relaxing and enjoyable. You can choose from the unique Kolymbithres beach featuring amazing rock formations and little coves to the long, gold sandy bays with a party scene of Santa Maria, Chryssi Akti, Aliki, Pounda , Livadia , and lesser-known quiet ones like Farangas and Boudari . Paros is also blessed with meltemi wind which makes it a great windsurfing and kitesurfing spot with professional sports centers for both beginners and more advanced.

Hike in Paros Park

The Paros Environmental and Cultural Park, situated on the Agios Ioannis Detis peninsula, is an area of approximately 80 hectares of astonishing caves, rock formations, hidden coves, and seashores with crystal clear waters in an authentic Cycladic landscape. The main, organized beach of Monastiri is a well-protected and secluded shore located within Agios Ioannis Detis’ rocky bay. It’s a big beach with white sand and shallow waters perfect for swimming, water sports, and seaside activities. You can also experience the wonderful scenery of the Park by hiking along the 3 existing charted Walking Paths, spanning over 7km and varying from easy to moderate. Admiring the captivating sunset at Cape Corakas Lighthouse will be worth the long hike!

yacht charter paros

Explore Cycladic monuments

If you’re more into sightseeing, Paros offers a plethora of monuments, churches, and museums to visit. Located near Parikia, the Monastery of Panagia Ekatontapiliani (Virgin Mary of the Hundred Doors) is one of the oldest churches in Paros. Tradition says that the church has 99 doors and a secret door will open when the church of Hagia Sofia in Constantinople will be Orthodox again. The small Venetian Castle in the old port of Naoussa was built in the 15th century and served as a watchtower. Only a part of this fortress survived and now it’s the most characteristic place of the town.

What Choose

Sailing boat or Catamaran, what to sail in Paros

At Yachting.Rent, we want to ensure your sailing trip in Paros, Greece, is an unforgettable experience. Part of creating such an experience comes from choosing the right vessel for your journey. Let’s take a look at the two main options we offer: sailing boats and catamarans.

Sailing Boats: Ideal for those seeking an authentic sailing adventure, our sailing boats are perfect for navigating the picturesque waters of Paros. A sailing boat can cut through the waves with a gentle heel, offering a thrilling experience for sailing enthusiasts. Whether you’re an experienced sailor looking for a hands-on adventure or a novice eager to learn the ropes, a sailing boat provides the perfect blend of excitement and challenge. Furthermore, these boats offer more affordable options, making them a popular choice for couples or small groups.

Catamarans: For those prioritizing comfort and stability, catamarans are an excellent choice. Thanks to their dual-hull design, catamarans offer a smooth and stable journey, even in the occasionally choppy waters of the Aegean Sea. This stability makes them an excellent option for families with young children or those prone to seasickness. Moreover, catamarans often feature more spacious living areas, both inside and on deck, allowing larger groups to enjoy their trip without feeling cramped. They’re also ideal for shallow waters, meaning you can get closer to the secluded coves and beaches that Paros is famous for.

Whether you opt for the intimate and traditional feeling of a sailing boat or the space and comfort of a catamaran, Yachting.Rent has a fleet of high-quality, well-maintained vessels to meet your needs. And no matter what you choose, you’ll be treated to the stunning natural beauty of Paros – an unforgettable sailing destination. Embark on your dream sailing adventure with us today!

The Cycladic Island is one of the most popular Greek island destinations on the Aegean thanks to its beaches and lively atmosphere. Easily accessed from Athens thanks to its proximity to the mainland, Paros buzzes all holiday season.

Did we say beaches? Santa Maria, Golden Beach Paros, and Punta are some of the best sandy beach destinations in Greece and have lots of great facilities as well as crystal clear waters. That said you don't need to go where everyone else goes - there are some hidden sandy beaches sometimes only accessible from the sea which a Paros yacht charter can make possible.

For those who want to breathe a bit, explore Parikia Bay and take in the views of the ancient ruins and beautiful scenery.

Explore Paros By Renting A Yacht

A Paros yacht charter will be mostly about sailing in the Cyclades Islands off the Athenian Peninsula. Whether the smaller neighbouring island of Antiparos or the larger islands such as Naxos, Sifnos, Serifos or Mykonos, you can enjoy island hopping to get just the Greek sailing holiday you seek on your charter yacht.

What do you want from a sailing holiday? Whether on a luxury yacht or a budget monohull sailing yacht or motorboat, you will find what you want on the Cyclades.

If you want ancient Greek history, many of the islands have ruins from different times. Overlooking Paros capital, Parikia, the Apollo Temple is a sight that will immediately connect you to the past with its empty landscape and jaw-dropping views. Akrotiri on the Cyclades island of Santorini is one of those places you should never miss if you are interested in Greek history and worthy of a day trip in its own right.

If you're interested in nightlife you won't do badly on Paros itself with its youth-focused bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Mykonos also has a reputation of 24 hours partying. Ios is one of those places everyone aged 18-30 should hit before they run out of energy!

For those seeking a sleepy village or two and a taste of the 'real Greece,' you won't be disappointed - head to a smaller island like Amorgos, or Antiparos a step aside from the main tourist trail.

Whether on a skippered yacht charter or bareboat charter, ultimately the choice is yours.

How To Get To Paros

Four airports serve Paros. There is a small airport on the island that takes flights from other airports in Greece but for the most part, you will take a ferry to the island.

Paros National Airport

This takes flights from Athens and other locations. 10km from Parikia this is the new main airport on the island. From there you can take a bus or taxi to the marina.

Athens Airport

This is Greece's main international airport with 80 airlines flying there from around the world. You can take a connecting flight to Paros or take a ferry (see below) to Parikia Port.

Mykonos Airport

The closest Cyclades Island international airport to Paros, this has a number of airlines from around Europe flying in during the summer months. You can take a ferry to Parikia from Mykonos

Santorini Airport

This is another Cycladic international airport and you can take a ferry or a short flight to Paros.

Piraeus (Athens) to Parikia, Paros: The SeaJet fast ferry takes around 2.5 hours and costs around €60 per head. The slower car ferries cost around €40 per head and take 4 hours or so.

Mykonos to Paros: These ferries take around an hour and cost around €40 per head.

Santorini to Paros: Taking around 1h45 minutes you can pay up to €100 a ticket though on some sailings this can be considerably less.

Marinas In Paros

While there are some fishing ports on Paros where you can come alongside (stern-to as with the Mediterranean way) there is only one actual marina - Naoussa - on the north of the island.

Naoussa Marina:

There are charter yachts available including motor yacht , catamaran , monohull sailing boat and RIBs.

Berth Characteristics:

Max Length 25m (82 Feet)

Max Draught 3.8m (12.5 Feet)

List of additional services: Water, bar, restaurant, ATM, Market, Repair yard

Suggested Sailing Routes From Paros

Whether on a bareboat or skippered sailing holiday, largely there are three ways to enjoy the Cyclades Islands - a partying holiday where you go to sea to rehydrate and chill out a sightseeing and relaxing holiday, or a mixture of both to different degrees. Both younger and older will appreciate what the islands have on offer.

7 days - Paros, Sifnos, Serifos, Syros, Mykonos, Naxos: All of these islands have seen history pass through them since ancient times, and the Cycladic culture has taken elements of all the ages through time. Yes, there are Athenian and Roman relics, but there are Ottoman flavours to the food and the architecture itself is peculiar to the islands.

14 days - Paros, Sifnos, Santorini and Naxos: Though Santorini is famed for its volcano and laid back atmosphere, this will be one-stop of 10, island hopping southeast and then back northwest. For those who love ruins, Akrotiri on Santorini will be a huge draw, as are the ruins on Naxos - though you won't have to look very hard to find something of interest on every island.

Best Times To Hire A Yacht In Paros

The sailing season runs from mid-May to mid-October with July and August being the busiest months for yacht charter.

The sea is cooler - often quite chilly - at the beginning of the sailing season but there is rainfall in Spring. As the days lengthen you will still see green fields and flowers in May and the winds can be quite benign too. Combined with the crowds being smaller, this suggests that May to early June are the sweet spot for a Paros yacht charter.

Come September and October the seas are still like a warm bath.

Sailing Weather In Paros

April to mid-June: There is rainfall and the temperatures build steadily from the mid-teens to the mid 20 degrees C range. There are sometimes gentle southerly winds, though these are replaced by ever stronger N-NW Meltemi winds that make for exciting sailing at times.

Late June-August: You'll be unlucky if you see any rain, though it could be welcome in the summer heat.

September-October: The seas remain warm and the Meltemi eases. These months can be some of the best time of year to sail as the temperatures are often in the comfortable low to mid-20s. In mid-October, the tourist season ends.

The main points to consider are what is your budget, have you got the necessary sailing experience and qualifications to manage the boat if it's not going to have a skipper, whom you are taking sailing, where exactly you wish to go and what will the weather be like on the proposed dates of your trip.

While there are several fishing harbours on the island where it is possible to come alongside, only the 70 berth Naoussa Marina is a 'proper marina'. It is pretty basic but comfortable and sheltered.

July and August are the most popular times of year to rent a boat on a Paros yacht charter. They aren't always the best months though, consider also trying late May to June when the fields are still green, the Meltemi isn't at its height and the crowds not so big.

You will typically pay 50% up front on booking the yacht hire and the balance on arrival. You will either pay a security deposit with your credit card on departure or can get insurance covering damage in advance. In some cases (such as the recent Covid situation) charter companies may be more flexible but this depends on the individual charter companies themselves.

If you are at sea and in danger, call MAYDAY on VHF Ch16 or ring the coast guard on your phone if you have reception. If you have a mechanical fault and can make it to or are on a mooring you will be able to phone a help line number given by the boat charter company.

You should consider do you have the experience to handle the yacht charter or boat hire before you book and where do you want to go along with what the weather will be like. Bring warm weather and cool weather clothing if it looks like the weather can be cool as well as warm and remember at sea it can be cool on most evenings.

If you want to sail without a skipper then you will need relevant qualifications like RYA Day Skipper/International Certificate of Competence (ICC)/ASA 104 Bareboat certificate or the US Sailing Certificate. For small 'day boats' or if you choose to have a skippered on board your yacht charter you typically don't require licences.

We are confident that our prices are the most competitive and transparent in the market.

We won't charge any booking fees when you make a booking with us.

We have the highest number of verified and vetted boats available on the market.

Activities & Experiences

For a holistic experience on your luxury yacht charter of Paros, we recommend exploring all the faces this island offers to its visitors.

Watersports

There is nowhere better to try your hand at windsurfing. Paros and a hotspot for this sport, and there are numerous windsurfing schools ready to get you cruising atop the sea.

If learning a new sport is not your idea of fun, Paros’ open sea is a perfect place to pull out the jet ski or book a watersport package on the beach and have some fun bobbing along the water at high speeds.

Narrow-stone Paved Streets

There is something romantic and awe-inspiring about wandering a labyrinth of narrow stone-paved streets.

For those who love to get lost, stumbling upon quaint stores, cafes, bars and tavernas, Paros town centre, Parikia, is the perfect place to spend an afternoon before dinner and a cocktail at one of the many nearby bars and restaurants.

Culinary Delights

It’s hard to find a bad meal in Paros. Still, certain restaurants shine brighter than others. One of our absolute favourites is Barbarossa, located in the North, on the water in the town of Naoussa.

Within a whitewashed building sat beside the water where boats lazily bob along the water. This is a first-class dining experience so laid back that you could stay there all day.

Located in the North near the island’s second-largest town, Naoussa, Kolymbithres beach is one of the most beautiful on the island.

Occupying several little bays that are divided by rocks, the scenery here is spectacular. Easier to traverse by water, Kolymbirthes is best explored on your Paros yacht charter. You can access quiet coves from your boat and enjoy the crystal waters away from the busy beaches.

Ancient Architecutre

There is a uniquely large number of churches on this small island. Some were built as far back as the 6th century.

Renowned for this high density of churches, there are many tours you can join to visit these epic monuments and learn about the rich history related to each.

Yacht charter Paros

Yacht charter paros – the pearl of the cyclades.

Yacht charter Paros – white houses, domes and blue windows that from above are lost in the intense and brilliant sea, windmills, wonderful beaches and lively streets. It is impossible to try to list them all and even more difficult to draw up the list of the most beautiful: each has a good reason to be reached. Besides the famous Mykonos and Santorini, a little less known is Paros, in the center of the Cyclades archipelago. Wonderful beaches and bays, hinterland to discover and divine food. Along the 120 kilometers of coastline you will find crystal clear sea, beaches, beautiful bays and ancient fishing villages. Do not miss the village Naoussa, located on the north coast of the island, has nothing to envy to the most famous Mykonos or Santorini. In winter it has no more than three thousand inhabitants, but it is in summer that it is filled with tourists in search of the colors of Greece, but also of the tranquility that this place offers, far from the chaos of other tourist destinations that surround it.

AM Charter Yacht charter Paros

Its small port overlooking a sheltered bay is always full of moored gulets because the inhabitants of the island still live from fishing. This is the center of Naoussa’s tourist life and the old warehouses, where fishermen once stored their tools, have now been transformed into nightclubs and bars where you can enjoy delicious “mezedes” (snacks) based on fish and accompanied by the inevitable ouzo. The village was built around the port in Byzantine times. Fortified with a wall that led to a Venetian bastion, some parts of the wall are still standing and are of great historical and archaeological interest. Today Naoussa is one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Greece and still retains its authentic island character, but also a bit of cosmopolitan glamour. Not too much though. Naoussa is the recommended place for the evening, choose one of the cafes of the port to spend the evening. That’s why it’s best to go there right away, before everyone discovers it and you become a new Mykonos. Now all that remains is to leave to enjoy the turquoise sea, the fresh wind and the warm sun of Paros.
