Motor yacht Sea Rhapsody christened at Amels

The new 65.5 metre motor yacht Sea Rhapsody , the second hull of the Limited Edition 212 series, was christened at the Amels shipyard in Vlissingen, Holland, on April 20th 2012.

More than 600 people were there to witness the christening, including naval architect Tim Heywood and Andrew Winch, who designed the interior. The sleek curves of Heywood’s exterior looked spectacular as different coloured spotlights lit up the gleaming superstructure.

Representing the owners, Nicholas Dean of Ocean Independence said: ‘The owners cannot wait for their first family cruise and truly enjoyed the building process.’

Her interior designer, Andrew Winch, says, ‘ Sea Rhapsody ’s architectural design has been subtly developed, incorporating new material choices to create an individual signature, specific to the client.’

Sea Rhapsody is now delivered and she's currently cruising the Ionian Sea.

The 65m/213'3" motor yacht 'Sea Rhapsody' was built by Amels in the Netherlands at their Vlissingen shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house Winch Design and she was delivered to her owner in April 2012. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Tim Heywood Design and she was last refitted in 2020.

Guest Accommodation

Sea Rhapsody has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 suites comprising two VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 16 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include a movie theatre, beauty salon, beach club, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Sea Rhapsody is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 2,682hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 5,758 nautical miles from her 155,000 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots. Sea Rhapsody features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 38,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 SSC YACHT(P), MONO, G6. ✠ LMC, UMS classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Visit exotic Seychelles this winter aboard the 65m superyacht SEA RHAPSODY and enjoy 14 days for the price of 12. Launched in 2012 and refitted in 2020, this luxury vessel was built by the renowned Dutch shipyard Amels , she has in house naval architecture and interior styling by Winch Design . Up to 12 charter guests are accommodated over 6 cabins, comprising a master, VIP, double, 2 convertible twins and a twin suite.

Motor yacht SEA RHAPSODY

The interior décor is finished beautifully with elegant touches throughout. On the main level is a generous salon, with a plush lounge, formal dining and piano. A foyer on starboard leads to the full-beam master stateroom offering a private lounge and study. Her upper deck has a spacious sky lounge aft, plus a full-beam VIP suite situated forward, which includes a comfortable seating area and study.

On deck M/Y SEA RHAPSODY is well appointed for cruising the Indian Ocean , with vast areas to relax and socialize. The main level is shaded and has an expansive outdoor lounge. Her upper aft deck features a further lounge and alfresco dining. Moving to the sundeck, there are chaise loungers placed aft, amidships is a fully equipped gym, followed by a deluxe jacuzzi and sunbed placed forward.

Beautiful boat

Very impressed with the quality of this boat. The spec is top of the line and we'll maintained. The toilets are fresh & clean. The route on the river through Moscow takes in many of the iconic sites of Moscow and is a great introduction. The food was nice. Wide selection. Service was pleasant. Get the iPod with audio for some interesting commentary. I recommend the 2 1/2 hour trip.

We had it today. Nice views and a fun way to see the city. We also had some pasta and drinks, which were ok. Service was very nice. Shame we didn't know that the tour from Gorky Park is just half way - lasts about 1.5 hour. If we knew we would start at Ukraina hotel.

Our company organizes cruises 365 days a year. The standard return route from Gorky Park Pier to Hotel Ukraina Pier lasts two and a half hours with the pivot closer to the business center "Moscow-city" to the Kotelnicheskaya embankment without any stops. On weekends the departure time is at four p.m. and eight p.m. The boarding starts thirty minutes before the departure.

When I got on Radisson's cruise boats, I thought that it's a normal, boring river cruise, but 10 minutes later I found out I was totally wrong. What a beautiful view of the historical buildings of Moscow!!!! The statue that hung in the middle of Moskva River is amasing. Service is acceptable and waiters/waitresses are freindly and the food is in good quality.

Went with business group on dinner cruise, with guide. Really enjoyed the views after dark - seeing Red Square/The Kremlin from this vantage was great. And being on the top deck to view with no obstructions was worth the cold wind ! Kind of hard to eat and see the views at the same time, but the food was nothing special so we focused on the views. Service fine but not notable. Guide might as well have been a pre-recorded piece as there was no attempt to engage us - and it was hard to tell what building or view she was referring to as she just sort of looked in the direction of the item and spoke with monotone voice. Go for the views, not the food or service.

Great boat ride - see all the sights. The food is way better than you expect on a riverboat. This is a great 3 hour ride through Moscow with too many sights and views to name individually - take your camera!

It would be great to arrive before departure time inorder to enjoy your dinner. And spend the rest of the trip enjoying the scenic views. Our waiter was a gentleman. He spoke broken English. But he made great effort to explain some of the important buildings as we passed by. He made sure that our little girl was treated like a princess. If we travel back to Moscow we will have a day trip and an evening trip. We selected the Royal class.

Equipped with ice-breaking technology, these huge fancy yachts are the only river cruisers running all year around. The round trip journey takes two and a half hours and floats past all the big sights like the White House, Novodevichy monastery and the Kremlin. There’s a large open air observation deck up top, while the main body of the ship houses a restaurant with a dance floor for a romantic post dinner dance.
