IAG Yachts launches King Baby

IAG Yachts in China has delivered King Baby , a custom 140-foot motoryacht commissioned for an American client with Atlantic Yacht & Ship.

The client previously owned the 100-foot Hargrave King Baby . The IAG King Baby is the largest fiberglass yacht to be built at the China-based shipyard. She has exterior styling and interior design by Evan K. Marshall. Sergio Cutolo of Hydrotec handled engineering.

Twin MTU 16V 2000 engines provide a 14-knot cruising speed and a top end of 20-plus knots. Inside, King Baby has five guest staterooms and a décor featuring black walnut woodwork and extensive stone accents.

“IAG is now on the threshold of greatness in custom-yacht construction,” said Doug Hoogs, IGA’s representative in Fort Lauderdale. “This yacht project is history in the making.”

Introducing 140 Foot Custom Fiberglass Motor Yacht KING BABY

IAG Yachts is proud to be announcing that the company is  launching the 140 foot custom fiberglass motor yacht known as “King Baby” in June, 2015. There will be a launch celebration at the shipyard in Zhuhai, China, at the end of June for anyone that is interested in attending. 

Evan K. Marshall performed the exterior styling, the interior space plan, the interior design and also handled the interior decor decisions with the owners. Sergio Cutolo from Hydrotec performed the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering that will allow this yacht to either cruise at 20 plus knots or be transoceanic at 12 to 14 knots.

With her 140 foot length, plus over a 30 foot beam and 4 deck levels with over 7 feet of headroom, she is the largest composite yacht to be built in China. Built to RINA Class and MCA Flag State requirements, the King Baby is suited for commercial charter capability.

No expense was spared to build this yacht to the highest quality of fit and finish to rival U.S. and European builders. The renowned project manager, Tim Kings, led well over 100 skilled craftsmen and engineers in creating this living work of art.  Our vendor list supports an A+ quality operating systems throughout.

The King Baby will be seen in Ft. Lauderdale later this Summer and also this fall at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, before joining the Caribbean fleet for the winter season.

Noble Star 140 superyacht King Baby by IAG Yachts

This N.Y. buyer, already an owner of a 100 foot megayacht, called “King Baby,” has owned many yachts over the years. “I knew that IAG had finally gained the trust of the American buyers when we signed our first custom build with a very demanding American client,” says Doug Hoogs, the US representative.

The Noble Star 140 yacht King Baby is being constructed utilizing all of the best international yacht construction practices and equipment with the goal of enhancing IAG’s reputation as a market leader in quality and performance. The shipyard is already known as a facility that can do it all, from building the high end interior furnishings to using the latest composite construction methods such as infusion for maximum strength to weight ratios. The Noble Star 140 as with IAG’s other series yachts, the 100 foot motor yacht Electra and the 127 foot superyacht No bada Bees (ex Primadonna) , is being built to Rina Class and MCA flag state requirements.

Doug Hoogs has been doing business with Chinese builders and yacht owners for many years. Doug states , “my experience with Chinese yacht builders has shown me that they are extremely quality driven people who can compete with any builder in the world in quality and they are of course unmatched in value and price. It takes a talented team to build a great yacht so one must balance the strengths of the shipyard along with the passion and skills of the people involved.”

Evan K.Marshall , a very busy London based yacht designer for more than two decades from London, has been retained to handle the exterior styling of the Noble Star 140 yacht King Baby which includes blending graceful lines with functional popular American features such as long overhangs over the aft decks, vertical pilot house windows, many choices for dining and entertainment, and a very large hard top with a massive sun roof opening over the upper deck.

Sergio Cutolo , is the skilled Varazze, Italy based Naval Architect for this project. He is utilizing an existing mold to create maximum performance potential with owner comfort as the first priority. Even though the speed is excellent, it is the lack of vibration, noise, pitch and roll in all sea conditions and various speeds including at rest, that will ultimately impress the buyer.

“A” list of American system manufacturers will guarantee long lasting reliable cruising for many years.

RINA Commercial Class and MCA (Cayman Islands) approval and certification will guarantee to the buyer that IAG Yachts meet all international standards for excellence and safety.

Both the exterior and interior were designed by the renowned Evan K. Marshall, who used the aesthetic themes to create a lusciously contemporary luxury yacht. This tri-deck yacht is both tall and beamy with a four-fin “At Rest” stabilizer system making KING BABY extremely stable at anchor and underway. Her exterior spaces are expansive and well suited for entertaining and socializing. The main deck aft has a covered dining area; as does the upper deck, with a variety of seating spaces. This area is air conditioned as well. Forward on the upper deck is built-in seating and sunpads. The sundeck has a Jacuzzi with a three-tier cascading waterfall and swim-up bar, a variety of seating areas, three TVs and a large onyx bar.

The sexy rock ‘n’ roll-inspired interior is unlike that on any other yacht. From Keith Richards’ doors to custom coffee tables to vintage hood ornaments, guitars used as art and other impressive decorative pieces, there is so much to behold. This mesmerising IAG-built motor yacht was entirely designed by award-winning Evan K. Marshall. The owners of KING BABY invested in curating the classic rock photography showcased on the yacht, adding to the party ambience without compromising the impeccable quality evident throughout.

Inside, large windows flood the yacht with natural light, setting off the impeccable timber work and cool, contemporary décor. using ornate finishes and materials in her décor and lavish, original art works. In white leather, beige, silver and blue, furnishings are sumptuous and extravagant, while mirrored ceilings and gloss timber panelling set a seductive tone.

Perfectly equipped for entertaining, luxury motor yacht KING BABY boasts several exterior spaces for dining, socialising and relaxing. The main aft deck has a magnificent dining table and chairs, while the upper deck provide a second covered dining area, built-in seating and sunpads.

The sublime sundeck will be guests' choice for savouring the sea breezes and sunshine, with an incredible Jacuzzi with three-tier cascading waterfall and swim-up bar, comfortable seating areas, three TVs and a marvellous onyx bar. The spa becomes a water feature at night, with lighting to complement an LED feature built into the mast.

On charter, the foredeck has a cosy space for cocktails and sunpads for taking in the view and topping up your tan! The five luxurious staterooms include the large full-beam master on the main deck, complete with his-and-hers bathroom with bathtub and shower. The three large king staterooms below deck also have ensuite bathrooms and there is a large twin cabin as well.

As you would expect, KING BABY'S complement of tenders and toys is second to none. She offers charter guests the use of a 31ft Jupiter Center Console for day trips, a 16.5ft Williams Jet Tender for pulling skiers and tow toys, two latest model Waverunners, two Seabobs, paddleboards. Kayaks, wakeboards, waterskis, snorkels and fishing gear, as well as beach toys and an inflatable slide that attaches to the third deck – hours upon hours of fun for everyone!

Both the exterior and interior were designed by the renowned Evan K. Marshall, who used aesthetic themes to create a lusciously contemporary luxury yacht. Every piece of fabric onboard the KING BABY was replaced and updated, including the replacement of her outside cushions on the sofas and chairs with new foam and covers. Her revolutionized interior offers modern elegance mixed with unrivaled comfort and features brand-new carpeting and overhead panels throughout her entire interior. This tri-deck yacht is both tall and beam-y with a four-fin “At Rest” stabilizer system making KING BABY extremely stable at anchor and underway. Her exterior spaces are expansive and well-suited for entertaining and socializing. The main deck aft has a covered dining area; as does the upper deck, with a variety of seating spaces. This area is air-conditioned as well. Forward on the upper deck are built-in seating and sunpads. The sundeck has a Jacuzzi with a three-tier cascading waterfall and swim-up bar, a variety of seating areas, three TVs and a large onyx bar.

The sexy rock ‘n’ roll-inspired interior is unlike that of any other yacht. From Keith Richards’ doors to custom coffee tables to vintage hood ornaments, guitars used as art and other impressive decorative pieces, there is so much to behold. The alluring indoor spaces are comfortable, with an edge of modern seduction. The owners spent months curating classic rock photography, which is showcased throughout the yacht. The ideal charter yacht for groups of friends ready to let the good times roll, this yacht has both sass and style. Her most recent refit also brought the addition of stunning white hardwood flooring in the formal dining area, offering a cool contrast to her interior design.

KING BABY has five luxurious staterooms. Guests will sleep in complete luxury and comfort, courtesy of all-new linens in each stateroom. The main deck is home to the large full-beam master with a steamy his-and-hers en-suite bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. Three large king staterooms below deck all have en-suite bathrooms. There also is a spacious twin cabin below deck.

King Baby Yacht

If you are a yachtsman and have been considering purchasing a luxury vessel, you may want to look into the 41m luxury yacht, King Baby. The yacht’s builder, IAG, has signed a contract to produce the vessel, and it will be delivered to the buyer in 23 months. The owner of the vessel is experienced, and already owns a 100-foot sailing yacht. He is looking forward to being part of the design process, and will be giving his input to the process. The final product will be a luxurious vessel with the highest level comfort and style in the entire world.

The KING BABY’s design was created by IAG, a renowned architect. It is a tribute rock icons like Keith Richards. The yacht’s skylounge is decorated with rock icons. It also features vintage rock photography that the owner has curated. The interior is accented with LED lighting. The luxury yacht will impress guests as they cruise down. The yacht is sure to become a hot spot on the yachting circuit, as the rock iconography is unmistakable.

While the interior spaces of the KING BABY are as luxurious and elegant as the rest of the yacht, the exterior spaces are just as stunning. The king-size dining table on the main aft deck is complemented by a three-tier waterfall, while a stylish sun deck bar is a perfect place to watch the sunset. A retractable roof allows for more sunlight to pass through the sundeck and allows for glowing stars at night. To cool the outside temperature, a series of misters can also be used. Several guest cabins are located below the deck, including two full-beam master suites on the main deck and four twin cabins on the lower deck.

The 42.7-metre KING BABY was built in 2016 and is one of IAG Yachts’ most ambitious launches. It has a length of 140 feet, a beam of 31 feet, and a draft of seven feet. It also has a sun deck and four decks under the roof. The yacht’s hull is made of hand-laid glass and has a RINA Class commercial charter rating.

The exterior of the KING BABY yacht has an elevator for easy access to any part of the vessel. Built with GRP hull and superstructure, this yacht offers exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. The yacht is powered by twin MTU engines that allow her to cruise at fourteen knots. The yacht’s range is estimated at 3,000 miles. The twin cabins are spacious. Guests can move around the vessel easily using a deck-based elevator.

The interior of the KING BABY yacht features a distinctive style and theme. The yacht’s interior features a Keith Richards door, distinctive rock’n’roll photography, and a modern, sleek aesthetic. It also features a top-notch entertainment system. The IT backbone includes advanced monitoring and entertainment technology, and a full suite of custom lighting and sound systems. The interior is decorated with sculptures and custom coffee tables and offers a rock ‘n roll experience.

She can host up to 10 guests in 5 cabins, including a full-beam, master stateroom that boasts of a stunning marbled ensuite with a large tub to soak in, champagne in hand, while cruising at a speed of 12 knots.

The vessel also has a plethora of water toys for you to enjoy during your luxury charter: from kneeboards, snorkeling gear and wave runners, to a Zapata flyboard, there is something for every one of your charter guests explore the inviting  Caribbean waters with. For those especially keen on seeing the Bahamian marine life, KING BABY is also a certified PADI Dive Centre so you can obtain a PADI diving card during your luxury charter . 

After a morning of swimming with pigs and turtles, head back on board to refresh yourself with a cocktail at the wet bar– no need to change!
