It is given to the boat manager before setting sail and is returned at the end of the trip after the boat has been inspected and if there is no damage.

Die Stadt Sanremo liegt inmitten einer weiten Bucht an der Riviera di Ponente nahe der französischen Grenze. Durch seine Lage zwischen Meer und dem Gebirge ist die Stadt aufgrund des Platzmangels zwar ziemlich bebaut, aber sie hat sich ihre Ecken mit Charme erhalten können. Sanremo wird auch die Blumenstadt genannt, da hier der Blumenanbau und -handel wichtige Wirtschaftszweige sind, hauptsächlich werden Nelken und Rosen gezüchtet. Ein Besuch des Blumenmarktes lohnt sich daher sehr. Verlieren Sie sich in den kleinen Gassen der Altstadt „La Pigna“ mit ihren unzähligen Durchgängen und kleinen Plätzen. Auf einem Hügel liegt die Wallfahrtskirche Madonna della Costa, von der man einen schönen Ausblick über die Stadt hat. Malerisch ist auch die russisch-orthodoxe Kirche Cristo Salvatore von 1913. Besichtigen kann man auch die Villa Nobel, in der Alfred Nobel lebte und starb. Hier gibt es Ausstellungen zu Leben und Werk des Wissenschaftlers sowie zum Nobelpreis. Sanremo wurde schon früh für den Tourismus entdeckt. Schon in der Belle Époque war die Stadt als Kurort bekannt, zu dem sogar Zarinnen und Kaiser reisten. Auch das Spielkasino stammt aus dieser Zeit und ist auch heute noch ein beliebter Ort auf der Suche nach dem großen Glück oder einem kurzen Nervenkitzel.

Sanremo bietet sich als Startpunkt für Törns an der italienischen Riviera sowohl Richtung Frankreich als auch nach Osten an. Auch Korsika ist von hier aus nicht weit. Ein Stück weiter westlich liegt  Ventimiglia . Die Altstadt birgt viele Relikte aus römischer Zeit, ein Spaziergang ist sehr lohnenswert. Sie können die Grotten der Balzi Rossi besuchen und an den schönen Stränden der Umgebung entspannen, zum Beispiel am Spiaggia delle Calandre. Weiter in Richtung Westen können Sie das Fürstentum Monaco besuchen und die Städte an der  französischen Riviera  in Ihren Törn miteinbeziehen.
