Robert J. Cury

Robert J. Cury opened the doors of RJC Yacht Sales and Charter in 1997 after a highly successful career at Broward Marine as Director of Sales and spent five years at Hatteras of Lauderdale as Sales Manager.

As principle of RJC Yacht Sales and Charter, Bob brings over 30 years of experience in the yachting business to his clients. His cumulative background in design, brokerage and new construction allows him to specialize in the sale of larger, late-model pedigree motor yachts and sport fishermen and provides you with a comprehensive knowledge of both the existing yacht market as well as new construction.

Charter Options Abound in New England

RJC Yachts says seven of the yachts in its charter fleet are accepting inquiries for New England bookings this summer.

The yachts are: the 163-foot Christensen Lady Elaine , the 157-foot Trinity Miss Christine , the 145-foot Christensen Relentless , the 124-foot Broward Camille , the 112-foot Delta Gale Winds , the 118-foot Intermarine XOXO and the 118-foot Broward True North .

Weekly base rates range from $60,000 to $225,000, depending on the yacht and the number of guests. Accommodations on the seven yachts range from eight to 12 guests each.

When does the New England charter season start? Some yachts are accepting bookings as early as June 1.

Yacht Charter

Terra joins RJC Yacht Charters after spending 9 years managing one of the most successful private charter yachts/programs in the Bahamas. Her multi-faceted career, from working onboard as crew to liaising directly with charter brokers and guests, provides a unique draw to clients and fellow brokers alike.

A native Floridian, she grew up on the coast of northern Palm Beach County and fell in love with nature, both terrestrial and oceanic, from a young age. She graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Environmental Science.

Terra discovered the world of yachting when she met her husband Scott, a yacht captain. After tying the knot, Scott realized his charter yacht program was growing in popularity to the point he needed additional hands on- and off-deck. Terra joined the team to assist in any way possible, mostly managing the office, but playing an integral role in logistics and liaising for charters. During her tenure with the program she also spent 2 years on a new-build team orchestrating the interior design team and interior outfitting for the build in China.

She calls Jupiter, FL home with her husband, 7-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son and a trusty yellow lab named Sampson.

Charter Specialist   Tracy grew up in New England and spent many summers sailing in Newport, Rhode Island with her family. Yachting was the perfect career path and Tracy has been in the business for twenty years.   Tracy began in yachting as a crew placement agent; sourcing and placing professional crew on yachts worldwide. After a few years, Tracy had the opportunity to learn the charter yacht business as an assistant to Rikki Davis; one of the most iconic charter brokers in the industry. After learning from Rikki, Tracy moved into the position of a retail charter broker and has been successfully matching yachts and clients since!   Tracy is a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association and attends several yachting shows a year as well as local South Florida open houses. Tracey lives in Ft. Lauderdale and is married to a yacht broker and they have a son and a daughter and also enjoy a boating lifestyle.

She has now joined RJC Yacht Sales & Charter in 2019 and plans to focus on selling charters.   A native of the South, Georgia’s career began as a newspaper journalist in Alabama. She is the author of seven published books. The seaport of Savannah became her introduction to the world of yachting 15 years ago. Hired as a media consultant for shipbuilder Intermarine, she formulated marketing strategies, created collateral and initiated public relations campaigns.   She has produced newsletters and press releases for Palmer Johnson, Crescent Yachts, and Derecktor shipyards and was a frequent contributor to several yachting publications. With more than 35 years experience in newspaper/magazine management and national product marketing, she is also an expert in product branding, media placement, advertising sales, and copywriting. She joined Forbes Media as a custom content producer in 2000, producing special sections on yachts and the industry. Her client relationships at Forbes are ongoing and represent the thriving luxury lifestyle brands.   Additionally, Georgia has produced national advertising campaigns for a number of companies including port authorities, private corporate aircraft, and destinations. As an author, Georgia has appeared on CNN, The Travel Channel, The Today Show, and locally, as a travel consultant promoting the yachting industry.

Maggie Vale, Charter Specialist at RJC Yacht Charters, offers charter clients more than 25 years of experience as a charter professional. Maggie began her dynamic career in the yachting industry as a sailor and artist. She managed to achieve success in both businesses after becoming a yacht delivery captain in 1985. Her duties as a captain of some of the world’s most formidable yachts have taken her from New England to all areas of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas.

Maggie’s years of experience gave her the valuable insight and understanding of the needs of charter clients from a captain’s perspective. Since becoming the RJC senior charter broker, she has used that knowledge to successfully match clients with yachts and crews and arrange seamless custom charter itineraries with ease. She is renowned throughout the industry for her knowledge of the world’s finest charter yachts, their captains and crews, as well as the legalities and requirements of international charters.

Maggie attends all of the major charter shows around the world annually. From her local Newport Charter Show in Newport Rhode Island, to all of the major charter shows in Europe and the Caribbean, Maggie is well versed both the popular and remote cruising areas around the globe.
