Absolutely love NRYC! It's a band challenging course with many amenities. We love the different landscape from the front 9 to the back 9. The club also has a marina on Lake Tuscaloosa so lots to do

This place hasnt been updated since Jack Warner was 35. I went to a friends wedding and mushrooms were growing up the rotten wall. The chairs are so gaudy and gross for a wedding venue... food mediocre. Lighting always SO bright.. needs a total update/ re-do. YUCK

NorthRiver Yacht Club

NorthRiver Yacht Club, located on the banks of Lake Tuscaloosa in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and less than a 12-mile drive to the University of Alabama, is recognized as a premier golf and country club in the Tuscaloosa, West Alabama, and even southeastern region. In 1978, the original Gary Player-designed course opened. Mr. Player routed the championship, 18 hole, par 71 course through the rolling hills that grace the community called NorthRiver. After the course was updated in 1999 by Bob Cupp, it was again renovated in 2016 by Bob Cupp, changing from bent grass greens to Tiff Eagle Bermuda grass plus reconstruction of all bunkers. Today, NorthRiver’s course is suitable for every category of player from accomplished to novice. To allow both mental and physical preparation, NorthRiver offers meticulously maintained practice areas, outstanding professional instruction, an extraordinary pro shop, and support for tournament-style play. Members, and guests of The Jack Warner Inn at NorthRiver , also enjoy a state of the art tennis facility featuring 11 lighted courts, an Olympic-sized pool open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day (or beyond), indoor/outdoor heated pool open year around, Fitness Center, massage therapy, lakeside dining and event venue named the Captain’s Cabin, a 97-wet slip marina, Kids Club, and countless special event and meeting spaces that can accommodate groups of 10 to well over 500.

Marina And Waterfront

Our modern marina incorporates a state of the art system of floating piers and wave attenuators which provide access to 69  modern slips, 12 moorings, transient space, on site pump out facility and dinghy launch and storage on the sheltered waters of the Northeast River. The club has moorings and slips of varying sizes and depths suitable for power and sail boats available. Slip and mooring seasonal rentals are available to club members only. Use of the marina facilities at North East River Yacht Club is one of the organization’s most distinguished member benefits. Club members who lease a seasonal slip enjoy premier marina amenities and 24/7 access to their boat. The club welcomes members and transient guests to tie-up to the outside of the perimeter attenuators when visiting the Club or attending Club functions. Overnight accommodations inside the marina or on the perimeter must be arranged through the Club’s Dock Master.

Luxury Lake Tuscaloosa Condos Listed for Pre-Sale With Eye-Popping Prices

A few dozen ultra-luxe condominiums planned for the shores of Lake Tuscaloosa are available for pre-sale at prices that reflect their exclusivity.

The Hillhouse Condos are a $54 million project that will bring 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom residences to the North River Yacht Club on Lake Tuscaloosa.

As the Thread reported when the concept was approved by the Tuscaloosa City Council last August , the multi-story development will include 20 two-bedroom units, 10 three-bedroom units and four single-bedroom units.

The plans also include "an outdoor amenity area, including a private pool with a view of the lake."

Renderings show the condo building would be faithful to the Yacht Club's existing architecture, which itself is an homage to the Japanese pagoda.

The condos, which are expected to be finished in summer 2024, are now available for presale.

Listings added on realtor.com Monday showed a  3 bed, 3.5 bath unit for $2.575 million . The least expensive unit listed, a 1 bed, 1 bath, had an asking price of $875,000.

In a Monday press release, developer and broker Andy Turner said the condos will provide unparalleled access to a lakeside restaurant and marina, a heated infinity edge pools, a hot tub, fitness room, a billiards and wine room, a library and more.

“Hillhouse epitomizes the age-old rule in real estate. Location, Location, Location,” Turned said. “Ever since my days attending The University of Alabama I have thought of The Captain’s Cabin and Yacht Club Marina as the most beautiful location on Lake Tuscaloosa. I am thrilled that we are able to restore this site and add 34 of the most luxurious condominiums in Tuscaloosa.”

“We believe Hillhouse is the pinnacle of luxury living on Lake Tuscaloosa,” said developer Miller Mobley. “We specifically designed Hillhouse to have the most premium and thoughtful amenities in the Tuscaloosa area as well as a pure and timeless aesthetic.”
